The first student Dante helps. Introverted and slightly moody, he While he's been a classmate of Dante for some time when the story starts, it's hinted that they've never interacted with eachother. He slips once and when Dante catches him, they discover that Gregor has something up his sleeve...literally.
literally. Though Gregor threatens them in an attempt to make them quiet about his secret, they offer their help instead, kickstarting the events of chapter 1.

He does well in school, but also spiteful and wary, and keeps up a NiceGuy facade to deal with others.

hide. She's an old friend of Sonya, a student from another class. Rodion is cheerful, upbeat and open about just nearly everything she wants.

helps. He is a genius student and always tries his best to keep order in the class. But Yi Sang's 'goodness' may come from something less than genuine...and something more selfish.

** In chapter 6, he mostly stays quiet when he and Dante are confronting Hermann, but has a very severe reaction to her trying to give him her lecture. We can pass this off as his frustration but considering the events of chapter 4, it's not completely unthinkable that associating Oddities in a human form in a negative light hits a VERY raw nerve in Yi Sang.

Added DiffLines:

* BrokenBird: It seems like his relationship with his 'mother' is very fractured; his 'mother''s behavior as well as the things she did to him left him bitter, suspicious and unable to open up to anyone.

Added DiffLines:

* MommyIssues: His personality is so fundamentally broken because his 'mother' went quietly crazy and began involving him in sketchy gene experiments.

Added DiffLines:

* NotSoAboveItAll: In a StepfordSmiler kind of way. He always acts composed and perfect in an attempt to be normal, ending up anything but as a result. He avoids any kind of chance of making genuine connections out of fear that he loses his friends again. This mask of simply bottling up his emotions leads to the first Unchanging Crow incident, which concludes with an anticlimax where Vergilius and Dante decide to suppress it with a pill, essentially confirming to him that he will never get what he wants while bottling up his pain. This makes him one of the most mentally unhealthy members of the cast, a trait that persists until the ''real'' Sang Yi finally emerges and tells them everything that Yi Sang didn't. He may not be happy like this, but he's healthier and less abnormal.

* NotBrainwashed: Once he had killed his neighbors, the Unchanging Crow tried to leave. He didn't let it and instead continued wandering around killing people with a knife, making him far more dangerous than the Oddity is normally supposed to be.

* INeverSaidItWasPoison: Remarks on Dante going to Sonya in chapter 2 despite Dante not having told anyone but Sonya and Rodion. He even admits to having 'ran his mouth there'. This is an early clue as to his alternative identity as Sang Yi, who is able to know things like this as he can fly around the city.

* LabocatIfScienceAndMedicine: Sang Yi while possessed by the Unchanging Crow runs around in one. It's his only piece of clothing other than the long black shirt he wears underneath it. Dante internally comments how the coat does a good job of hiding how few he's actually wearing.

* LackOfEmpathy: Not in an intentionally malicious way. As a result of keeping his emotions carefully regulated and under control because he doesn't want to have a friend group falling apart again, Yi Sang distances any kind of feelings that might interfere with his composed image. Vergilius notes that Yi Sang helped the Unchanging Crow not because he was concerned for it, but because he wants to be seen as a good person. Part of his chapter is Yi Sang coming in touch with his own emotions so that he could cry, laugh, hate, and love freely without worrying that it might fall apart one day again.
