The former Stormtrooper who became a General, now he strives to be a Jedi.

* AdaptationalBadass: Even before the events of this story, there were a few retcons that made him more effective. He fought a Knight of Ren in Pasaana to a stalemate, only "losing" because he ran out of time. He had also tried to shoot Kylo dead until the Knight intervened. In Exegol, he fought an Executioner with an armor of Beskar and a Force Sensitive Sith Acolyte, one after the other, and won. Even beforehand, he saved Rey from a Knight of Ren by shooting him from far away.
* AintTooProudToBeg: He begs [[spoiler:Celesto to stop a courtroom trial because he senses the planet they are on dying. Celesto doesn't listen until Lightning takes Finn's side.]]
* BadassInDistress: His record includes him being crucial in several fights, but also him being kidnapped by [[spoiler:Armilla and, while it lasted very little, Alicia.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He is one of the nicest Stormwolf members, but he will retaliate if pressed too far.
** The events of The Rise of Skywalker made him [[spoiler:temporarily]] cut ties with Rey after calling her out. [[spoiler:Until she proved him she changed for the better.]]
** Takara had exploited his kindness [[spoiler:by landing a cheap hit on him and sentencing him to isolation for being disrespectful. So, in the rematch, Finn humiliates and slaughters her. '''[[CurbStompBattle Untouched.]]''']]
** During the Battle of Xorrn, [[VillainOfTheWeek Konrad]], who is in charge of all the supplies to the Imperial Remnant, [[spoiler:has several former Stormtroopers killed, and even personally kills a few of them with no remorse. Finn purposefully gets Konrad killed very messily for that, even though he feels a little remorse afterwards]].
** Finn, when he learns [[spoiler:how many of his allies died to the Stygian Champion, apologizes to his old master since he will do something that isn't the way of the Jedi. Then he gives the demon a very savage beating.]]
** When [[spoiler:Rippen the Beast]] nearly crushes Krysta after she saves Finn's life, he gets mad and [[spoiler:defeats Rippen handily.]]
** He despises slavers, and doesn't show his usual mercy to them.
* {{BFG}}: The Microwave Beam. It's his heaviest weapon, which is like a laser cannon. [[spoiler:Later it gets an upgrade, the Microwave ''Cannon'', which is even more devastating.]]
* BlueIsHeroic: Finn is associated with the color blue, both his saber and his armor upgrades, as well as the Microwave Beam. He is also a hero.
* BoringButPractical: His ability to home blaster bolts just makes his shots even more accurate than before, and it has saved the lives of him and his friends several times.
* CharacterCatchphrase: "Your next line is... " If he gets it right, he has outsmarted his opponent.
* CombatPragmatist: In a fight, he will use every trick to win, from the environment, to reflecting attacks, to making a foe who calls his attacks eat sand, to accepting assistance.
* CrusadingLawyer: During Operation Valkyria, he is protecting a native princess from [[spoiler:Celesto and Lightning,]] keeping them out of the fight for as long as possible. [[spoiler:He only wins by turning Lightning on his side, and because the opposition had no evidence against the defendant aside of blatant cheating.]]
* DefiantCaptive: When captive in [[spoiler:Armilla's mansion]], he talks back to his captor at every chance he gets, and even [[spoiler:burns part of her mansion down in an escape attempt, and then defies an attempt at his mind to imprint on her.]]
* {{Determinator}}: It's hard to make him give up. He has kept fighting after [[spoiler:his skin had nearly been melted by Astaroth's Hellfire, and kept standing up after a direct hit with the Uniforce in the final battle with Lightning.]]
* TheDogBitesBack: After Rey keeps pushing him out of her life and attacking him whenever her ego is threatened, he calls her out and leaves her. Later, he stops an attack from her and [[spoiler:forces her to kneel before him and heal him before they can make amends.]]
* DoWithHimAsYouWill: He encourages victims of abuse to stand up for themselves. In one case, a slave asks to kill a slavemaster, so Finn [[spoiler:gives her his lightsaber]].
* DudleyDoRightStopsToHelp: His empathy makes several fights harder for him. For example, his refusal to finish off a seemingly helpless enemy cost him a relatively easy fight [[spoiler:against Takara.]] It also allowed [[spoiler:Kor to land a few free hits on him.]]
* GrewASpine: The very first thing he does in this story is to tell Rey he won't be stuck in a friendship where he offers kindness and gets next to none in return, then leaving her. Even when [[spoiler:Rey comes back for him, Finn makes clear he will only accept her if she changes for the better.]]
* GroinAttack:
** Near the end of his duel with [[spoiler:Kylo's evil incarnated as a shadow]], Finn kicks him hard in the balls.
** He kicks a Red Arremer between the legs repeatedly during a fight. He has also shot at least one rapist in the nuts.
* HeroicResolve: The Force Resolve is a manifestation of this, making him stronger but tiring him faster.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: He starts the story feeling useless, especially compared to [[OvershadowedByAwesome Rey]], because he couldn't save Leia on Kef Bir. This gets worse when he [[spoiler:gets kidnapped by Armilla.]] However, he is anything but useless. Not only did his Stormtrooper Uprising contribute a lot to the safety of the Galaxy, but [[spoiler:Armilla is a Vampire Lady, and a foe most people cannot even match, while it took the [[GreaterScopeVillain Dark One himself]] to stop Finn from saving Leia's life.]]
* HeroWithBadPublicity: He is often demonized by the agents of the Legion, who have portrayed him as a HeroicWannabe at best, cutting several moments he helped save the Galaxy, and a [[DastardlyWhiplash literal mustache-twirling villain]] at worst.
* HomingProjectile: He can use the Force to make blaster bolts home in on his enemies.
* ILetGwenStacyDie: Feels that way about [[spoiler:Master Toni and Leia.]]
* ImprobableAimingSkills: He hits a target a kilometer away with his eyes closed in training, and fires accurately even before he makes his shots track his targets.
* TheLeader: He is leading the Unchained Ones, former Stormtroopers who switched sides. He also leads missions when Poe isn't around.
* MundaneUtility: He uses the Force to help Leah win at pinball.
* MyGreatestFailure: Being unable to save Rey and Leia in Kef Bir and give Kylo his comeuppance.
* MyGreatestSecondChance:
** When he fights [[spoiler:Benjamin to avenge Toni and save Leah, he remembers Starkiller. And this time, he wins.]] He also does get to beat [[spoiler:Kylo himself as a shadow towards the end of the first season.]]
** He starts getting ashamed of [[spoiler:killing Bella, albeit he did it in self-defense, when he sees how that affected her teenage daughter. However, after he beats the daughter and stops her revenge attempt, he spares her and ends the circle of revenge, something he is much more proud of doing. Similarly, when he learns how Bella's death affected her innocent father, he explains himself to quell Charlie's anger and solves the matter peacefully.]]
* NoSell: Two examples, both related to his HeroicWillpower:
** He is completely immune to mind control due to being able to will himself free from it. He has trained a mighty PsychicBlockDefense to help him out with stronger such spells.
** The reason [[spoiler:Roronoa Zoro, while he fights Finn post-Dressrosa, still only realizes he has Conqueror's Haki in Wano]] is that, when he accidentally uses it on Finn, Finn ''doesn't even notice''.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness:
** Usually, due to the Battle of Jakku, he doesn't attack those who are helpless and beg for mercy, unless he figures out they are lying and are about to exploit it. The one exception is [[spoiler:a shadow that is basically a revived Kylo Ren. That's because Finn knows trusting [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Kylo]] is a very bad idea.]]
** The ''only'' time he gets genuinely mad at Poe is when he learns [[spoiler:Poe killed Slip in self-defense. However, his friends help him calm down quickly.]]
** Usually, he doesn’t kill downed enemies because of what happened on Jakku. The single exceptions are [[spoiler:Al Astor and Takara, because Finn saw that their surrenders were fake, and they were both horrible people. Al was the Archdemon that imprisoned Leah and Takara had exploited his kindness in the past.]]
* PsychicBlockDefense: He has a mental shield that stops any mind control, though it has limits against other mental techniques.
* PunchCatch: His confrontation with [[spoiler:Rey]] culiminates to this, as he simply catches her punch [[spoiler:and calls her out for her behavior]].
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:He is the son of Lando and Sana and brother of Jannah.]]
* SecondHourSuperpower: Using the Force to move plasma allows him to land even trickier shots than before and reflect enemy fire. Finn learns that close to the end of the second arc and it keeps being relevant since then.
* SlaveryIsASpecialKindOfEvil: Finn is very radical against slavery, to the point he would rather kill an enemy than ever use mind control. He also makes sure to free any slaves he comes across, even if they had been soldiers of the Black Legion beforehand.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: He is the smartest heavy hitter of the team and a good chess player.
* SpectacularSpinning: His Whirlwind of Destiny allows him to become a tornado of death using his saber.
* TakingTheBullet: He often takes hits for his friends and civilians.
* TookALevelInBadass: He slowly but surely becomes stronger and more confident. He goes from struggling with Silver Moblins to [[spoiler:killing an Archdemon]]. The biggest step towards his improvement is when [[spoiler:he becomes a Jedi Knight]].
* TookALevelInKindness: He starts the story yelling at Rey for what she put him through, and [[spoiler:refuses to learn Force Healing because she misused it.]] He grows out of it after it comes very close to biting him in the ass. Also, in later chapters, he spares more foes than before.
* TheUnchosenOne: He has no great destiny and he knows it. Nevertheless, he carves his own path and becomes the hero of his Galaxy through his actions alone.
* WeakButSkilled: He is an average Force user who is just really creative and outsmarts his foes.
* WhatTheHellHero:
** He begins the first season and its final arc by calling out Rey for how she treated him.
** He also calls out Poe [[spoiler:for killing Slip.]] He gets called out in return [[spoiler:for considering revenge.]]
* WhatYouAreInTheDark:
** In a flashback of Season 3, during the events of Season 1, a villainess tries to exploit his then recent anger regarding Rey and try to make him follow the Dark Side. It doesn't work.
** He gets tempted [[spoiler:by Palpatine to activate the Sith Holocron [[TheHeavy Kor]] had for more power, to get any girl he loves and to defeat the Dark One. Finn, despite having no outside benevolent influence, sees through his plans and destroys the Holocron.]]
* WorthyOpponent:
** He encourages Krysta to become more independent and active in fights, and in general to stand up for herself. When she [[spoiler:interferes in the final fight between Finn and Lightning and gives trouble to the former,]] Finn tells her how proud of her he is before fighting her seriously enough to [[spoiler:send her crashing through rubble with the Force.]]
** Even though he and [[spoiler:Din]] start on the wrong foot, they have always respected each other.
* YouRemindMeOfX: Lightning Dawn reminds him of Rey, so he doesn't try to finish him off in their first duel when he gains the upper hand, but is more than eager to call him out and dare him to change for the better.

A werewolf who was once in a corrupt pack, now strives to be a leader and savior.

* AnimalMotifs: Wolves, as she is a werewolf.
* AscendedFangirl: Of [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Jotaro Kujo]]. She even shouts "ORA!" when she punches rapidly.
* BadassInDistress: The very first chapter has her in prison and she [[spoiler:nearly gets executed by Shuten Doji later]]. She also has a record full of important victories.
* BatmanGambit:
** Dealing with the very cautious Armilla, she [[spoiler:forces her in a dilemma that has no obvious answer, as she will lose either time or safety. Armilla thinks too much about it, allowing Leah to strike before she makes a decision.]]
** She [[spoiler:sends Little Finn to deal with the evil aristocrat Charloss, believing a mouse wouldn't be a priority in the Government's eyes. She is right.]]
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: She is astounded by Finn's kindness towards her, so she is fiercely loyal to him.
* BigEater: She enjoys eating a lot of meat, and notably eats without caring much about manners because she was raised in a pack of werewolves.
* BigSisterInstinct: Even though her little brother [[spoiler:used to side with Jacob and the imprints over her, she still loves him enough to bring him back to life with a scroll.]]
* CarryABigStick: The Beast Hammer is her strongest weapon. She can heat it to inflict more damage.
* CombatPragmatist: She won't be above using the environment, digging tunnels, causing quakes and stunning her foe with garlic in a fight.
* CruelMercy: She spares [[spoiler:Valak]], aware he [[spoiler:will have to face the wrath of his superiors no matter what he does.]]
* CuttingTheKnot: How she kills [[spoiler:Alicia]]. She had been shrunken to the size of a doll and was losing the fight until she found an opening. Once she does find time to grow back to her original size, she [[spoiler:uses her Stakehammer to keep stunning and hitting Alicia before she can shrink her again.]]
* {{Determinator}}: She keeps fighting even when strcuk by a bulldozer, launched into the stratosphere or stabbed by [[KryptoniteFactor silver daggers]]. Or when shot by arrows in all four of her limbs.
* TheDreaded: She instills fear to many vampires after the Fall of Volterra.
* EveryoneHasStandards: She is more eager to fight monsters than Finn is, and is also very mad at her old pack because they bullied her for not liking the imprints. Yet, when she learns what [[spoiler:Titan]] did in a similar case, she is mortified and vows to never become like him.
* FlashStep: She can run far faster than the human eye can see, and learns to [[spoiler:make afterimages and, in her wolf form, strike a few times before anyone else can spot her and react.]]
* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: Due to the atrocities caused by imprints, she doesn't consider them an excuse for the evil the imprinted have caused.
* GamerChick: She loves playing videogames, especially racers and shooters. While she is bad at pinball, she is still great at arcades.
* GoodIsNotNice: She is a heroine who will defend her friends and innocent bystanders with her life. But she will also slaughter whoever attacks them with no remorse. She also has a snarky side to her.
* HealingFactor: Due to being a werewolf, she can regenerate health, which saves her life several times.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: Supporters of the imprints hate her and consider her nothing more than a bitter harpy. The Legion's propaganda makes her a [[IAmAHumanitarian savage, man-eating wolf]].
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: She cares about Finn's happiness above hers in their relationship. Which means she would allow Rey to be with him if she treated him better. Quickly, however, she realizes her own relationship with Finn does help him be happy.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She can be very mean (for example she has told Finn there was nothing wrong with killing Bella in self-defense), and has the reputation of a bitter harpy, but she actually is a hero who really cares about her friends, and she makes clear she is not giving in to corruption when [[spoiler:Titan tempts her]].
* KirkSummation: She makes clear, through analysis, that [[spoiler:if Finn was being entirely selfish after he cut ties with Rey and only cared about making her his trophy wife, she would have never taken his side, let alone fall for him, when Celesto says she has taken Finn away from the "[[EntitledToHaveYou right]]" path.]]
* KryptoniteFactor: Silver, as she is a werewolf, weakens and burns her on contact.
* MadeOfIron: She and her armor can withstand a lot of punishment.
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: She [[spoiler:gets her armor broken and is completely burned and bleeding. And she still stands up and taunts Celesto.]]
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: She inflicts this on the nastier enemies she beats, like [[spoiler:Armilla, Jacob Black as a shadow and Engarde.]]
* NoSell: Since she started leading her own pack and has founded Stormwolf, she is now immune to the Alpha Order.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: She often attacks with a very fast barrage of punches.
* ShutUpHannibal: When [[spoiler:Titan]] rants about how he is the same as Stormwolf and especially Leah herself, just with [[EarthShatteringKaboom no restraints]], Leah tells him that's why he is a monster.
* StrongGirlSmartGuy: While both she and Finn are strong and smart, he is far better at using gadgets, but she is much stronger than him physically.
* SuperSpeed: Her main power is to be extremely fast, even for a werewolf. It even allows her to cause sonic waves with her punches.
* SuperToughness: She has survived getting launched into the stratosphere, [[spoiler:a savage beating by Rey and a direct hit from Ten-Fold Uniforce.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Sausages. She loves eating them. In fact, she loves eating meat in general.
* TheUnchosenOne: No destiny binds her, yet with her actions she gave hope to werewolves and humans alike, and is a serious threat to the Black Legion.
* UnstoppableRage: She is furious when a demon calls those who helped the massacre at Wounded Knee heroes.
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: [[spoiler:Once she and Finn hook up, she is willing to beat up whoever hurts him.]]
* WrongContextMagic: In the eyes of [[spoiler:Jack the Drought, at least. He throws her to the sea, thinking her shapeshifting powers come from her eating a Fruit. Since they don't, she does not drown, and in fact exploits this to ambush him.]]
* YouShallNotPass: [[spoiler:When Finn gets in a courtroom to stop Lightning and Celesto from miscarrying justice]], Leah stands outside and beats any enemy who tries to enter, eventually repelling them with ease.

The leader of the Resistance and best friend of Finn and later Leah.

* TheAce: The best pilot and strategist of the Resistance, and a very competent fighter on the ground, [[spoiler:as Don Krieg finds out the hard way]]. Finally, he is a brilliant strategist [[spoiler:whose tactics helped deal with Titan]].
* BadassNormal: He has no powers on his own, but is very skilled with ships and weapons. He even takes on hordes of Yuuzhan Vong both in the sky and on the ground. [[spoiler:Also, he is vital in the battle against [[ArcVillain Titan]], who is a very powerful sorcerer]].
* DemolitionsExpert: He has the widest variety of bombs from the good guys, namely three different types. And he knows how to use all of them.
* {{Determinator}}: He won't give up even if he is in grave danger. [[spoiler:Even a needle full of Haki through one of his arteries will not stop him.]]
* TheLeader: He is the General of the Resistance and Stormwolf. In a smaller scale, he directly leads the Black Squadron.
* MissionControl: Being the leader, he usually assigns the missions to the other Stormwolf members.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Poe once orders Finn to not interfere in a fight [[spoiler:between Rey and Leah.]] That's because Finn [[spoiler:not only would hurt neither, but was too injured from fighting Lightning.]]
* ShipTease: With Virago, as he often comforts her and vice versa, and sometimes they fight with synergy like Finn and Leah or Finn and Rey.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: He is the top chess player in Stormwolf. [[spoiler:It comes in handy when it's time to save Finn from Armilla.]]
* WeakButSkilled: For his rank in Stormwolf, he is weak, having no powers whatsoever. However, he is skilled at using weapons, strategies and especially flying a ship or a plane. Thus, he succeeds at beating several big monsters.

The master technician and sniper of the team.

* AnArmAndALeg: He [[spoiler:loses his right hand to Ranmaru.]]
* CombatPragmatist: He ambushes his foes in a fight and uses decoys and drones to cheat his way to victory.
* ADayInTheLimelight: He stars in a SniperDuel against Snapshot in the raid of Conva.
* GadgeteerGenius: He has made drones, is a hacker, invented the best non-magical weapons of Stormwolf, upgraded the X-Wings of the Black Squadron, can create decoys with just technology and overall his inventions make the job far easier for the rest of Stormwolf.
* GlassCannon: He is a sniper, so he has little durability, but hits hard and from afar.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: He is the sniper of the team, so he gets to land some of the trickiest shots.
* PersonalityPowers: Invisibility, which fits for someone who is useful everywhere except the front lines.
* ShipperOnDeck: He believes Finn and Leah are a great couple.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: He is barely worse than Poe in chess and a brilliant inventor.
* SwiperNoSwiping: He [[spoiler:turns invisible and impersonates Nobunaga to make Ranmaru stop fighting. It almost works.]]
* WeakButSkilled: He isn't stronger than the average person, he can only turn invisible. He also is very very smart, creating brilliant inventions and defeating a few stronger foes with tactics alone.

Leah's beloved pet mouse.

* ActionPet: He is not as strong as the rest of the team, but he ''can'' help out in difficult situations and even beat a few foes on his own.
* CurbStompBattle: He inflicts one on [[spoiler:a [[AristocratsAreEvil Celestial Dragon]], winning without getting hit.]]
* ADayInTheLimelight: He is the only one who can (and does) [[spoiler:beat [[AristocratsAreEvil Charloss]] without the Admirals being called to crush Stormwolf.]] So, he is the one who saves the day.
* TheLoad: Normally he'd fall into this trope by default [[SubvertedTrope if not for him]] being moreso WeakButSkilled, in which even in spite of being the least physically strong of the cast, his intelligence is not to be underestimated.
* NiceMice: A mouse that helps Stormwolf out.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: He is actually pretty useful for a mouse, as he helps free Finn from Armilla's mansion, has defeated many small monsters, [[spoiler:lasted somewhat long against Dahlia, a gifted vampire, and scared an elephant sword.]] However, being just a mouse, he struggles to make a difference most of the time.
* TeamPet: He is the favorite pet of Leah.
* WeakButSkilled: He is a tiny mouse, but he still outsmarted a few enemies.

Poe's best friend and a reliable droid.

* AwesomeButImpractical: Post-upgrade, he can coat himself in electricity for a couple of seconds. It's a very powerful combination of offense and defense, but lasts too little.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: A cute round droid that's very unassuming, and also able to handle turrets proficiently. [[spoiler:After Rose restores him]], he is also a rolling arsenal.
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler:Kaeden]] kills him in the final battle [[spoiler:against the Remnant]], but he gets better several chapters later.
* NoSell: Since he is a droid, the vampires cannot drink his blood.
* ShockAndAwe: His tazer is his main method of attack, especially before he gets a flamethrower. Even then, the tazer itself gets stronger than before, and he also gains a powerful electromagnetic field.
* TookALevelInBadass: He gets a Precision Bolt, a more powerful tazer, an electromagnetic force field and a ''flamethrower'', courtesy of [[spoiler: Rose Tico.]] He ends up taking on several Yuuzhan Vong with his new weapons. He also learns to assist Poe's X-Wing in a turret.
* WeakButSkilled: BB-8 isn't very powerful, but even with his limited gear, he has defeated several stronger opponents. While later he gets an improved arsenal, he is still not among the heavy hitters, but his skills shine even further. Some of his weapons, like the Precision Bolt, focus on skill more than raw power by default.

Finn's mentor, an experienced Jedi.

* TheAce: He is by far the most powerful member of Stormwolf [[spoiler:until he dies.]]
* BewareTheSillyOnes: He wields his saber on commercials to show off, making most people think he is just an actor putting a show. He is an actual Jedi and strong in the Force, as the Tower finds out the hard way. He also trains Finn and teaches him [[spoiler:how to use telekinesis on plasma, an ability that is one of the most useful to him.]]
* BigDamnHeroes: He shows up in the nick of time, saving his friends from [[spoiler:both the Tower and the Hammer.]]
* TheBusCameBack: He returns [[spoiler:in Operation Valkyria, channeled by Maya, and helps defeat several enemies before commenting on the progress Finn has made. He also defeats Buddy Rose in a later fight.]] Beforehand, he also becomes a judge in a literature contest.
* TheMentor: He trains Finn initially and is the most experienced member [[spoiler:until he gets killed by Benjamin.]]
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Makes one about how both Anakin and the Jedi Order were guilty for Palpatine's rise, calling the former a hothead as well.
* WolfInSheepsClothing: Far more competent than one would assume at first glance.
* TheWorfEffect: He struggles with the Golden Moblin, showing they are above even the Silver ones. He also [[spoiler:dies to Benjamin, showing that Benjamin is way above most other vampires.]]

* YinYangBomb: The entire point behind the simplicity of his usage of fire and ice breaths respectively; he uses it to destabilize the opponent as much as possible through using a rapid combination of exposure to sudden increases and decreases in temperature to the point the defenses cave in on themselves from the pressure. He also [[spoiler:survives a beating from Big Venom.]] His new heavy armor further enforces this, as he [[spoiler:survives a beating from a [[BossInMookClothing Darquine Master]] and destroys him]].

* ADayInTheLimelight: She and Mana become an adventuring duo in the Kingdom of Purapril, as well as in the neighboring lands. Kaydel makes a name for herself there.

* EveryoneHasStandards: While he can be merciless to his foes, being an asshole to your own friends is a good way to piss him off.
* FakeWeakness: In the Grand Line, those who have magical abilities usually cannot swim. Pan ''can'', and so [[spoiler:drops into the sea while fighting Kalifa, so he neutralizes her powers on him and fakes his death. This allows him to win the fight.]]

For example, he tells Rey her attitude makes her more trouble than worth in a team, despite her skills, and tells a village that if they don't stop their civil war, they will get under the protection of the Celestial Dragons, which makes them stop immediately. He still helps innocents whenever he can and encourages those who are in a dire position to stand up for themselves.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: While he is one of the good guys, his adventures are separate from Stormwolf and only sometimes seen.

* ShockAndAwe: He can use electricity in many forms, like Lightning Bomb and Lightning Spear. One of his titles is Master of Lightning.

Thus, they succeeded at stalling Smoothie's forces and allowing the Alliance to win the Battle of Wano]].
** He does that again when fighting [[spoiler:Magellan]]. He covers the escape of his friends until [[spoiler:Magellan's poor bladder forces him to take a break]], allowing everyone including himself to safely escape.
* WhiteMansBurden: Subverted. When he [[spoiler:saves a weakened Dogstorm from Jack the Drought, Jack tells the Minks they are so weak they have to be saved by a human, while also questioning Pan's personal stakes on the fight. Pan is not happy he is accidentally sending this message, so he frees Dogstorm and lets him finish the duel on his own.]] [[EvilCannotComprehendGood Jack]] sees him as a coward for this.
* WorfHadTheFlu: He is forced to not use his most destructive abilities while on a ship full of slaves, which results in a near-defeat against Raptor.

* BatmanGrabsAGun: Seeing [[spoiler:Haman caused a lot of mayhem in the world, and that either he will leak information to [[GeneralRipper Akainu]] or escape with teleportation without Seastone being able to stop it, Smoker, who is averse to killing, especially people in cold blood, actually executes the cult leader on the spot.]]
* BlindedByRage: Played with when he fights [[spoiler:Charlotte Snack.]] His rage sometimes helps him out during the fight, but it's also used against him at a few points.
* AFatherToHisMen: He really, really cares about those under his command, and is willing to protect them with his life from the cult and other threats.
* TheLeader: Despite Pan and Tashigi getting slightly bigger roles in the former's quest in the Grand Line, Smoker is the leader of the team.
* LogicalWeakness: Bullets pass right through him, but he is not immune to strong laser beams because they can dissipate smoke.
* MundaneUtility: He uses his smoke to rob a fire of its oxygen so it won't burn some trees.
* MythologyGag: Pan mentions some people censor his name as "Chaser".
* NoSell: Smoking heals and doesn't kill him.
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: He is a Vice Admiral and the leader of G5. Also one of the strongest heroes in the Grand Line arc and above any direct subordinate of his.
* SmokeScreen: He can make one due to his powers. This allows him to [[spoiler:defeat Haman.]] His use of Observation Haki means his smoke screen doesn't hinder him at all, and it doesn't hinder his friend, Tashigi, either.
* UnstoppableRage: He gets really pissed off against [[spoiler: Snack, which allows him to turn the tables, even though it's also used against him]].
* WillfullyWeak: He ''can'' fill someone's lungs with smoke and kill them very brutally, but ''never'' chooses to do so because he considers it too merciless. [[spoiler:Not even against Haman, whom he just kills quickly with his jitte.]]

A brave swordswoman and a good friend of Smoker and Pan.

** Don't hold back against her, and don't underestimate her. Especially because of her gender.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: As nice as she usually is, she flat-out decapitates Jezebel for sacrificing people.
* CuttingTheKnot: When she faces a Fruit user who can turn into lead, [[spoiler:the enemy hardens himself, which makes him immobile but immune to her sword slashes. She would have to struggle a lot finding a way to solve this tradeoff normally, but she simply uses her Haki and cuts through his tough form.]]
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Her first scene in the main story has her easily clear a training session that could literally kill an average soldier.
* HeroesPreferSwords: She is a heroic swordswoman who loves blades more than anything else.
* HeroicWillpower: Apart from her sword, she mostly relies on Haki. It helps her a lot, especially against [[spoiler:a pirate who could become lead and a giant monster made of water, as well as other Haki users.]]
* NiceGirl: She is nice to most people, and is even willing to spare most criminals.

* ForScience: One of his motives for being evil. He is an immoral scientist who wants to create a powerful master race.
* LivingWeapon: Several of his experiments. The Trunkblade, his own elephant sword, however, stands out.
* NeverMyFault: Nothing is ever his fault. In his head, Peach Berry shouldn't have left him since he threatened her with suicide and his prisoners should not make him hit them.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He is a weak coward with a pathetic motive, but has powerful gadgets and has made powerful killing machines like the Force Hunters and the Vagaries.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: His own allies dislike him for his cruelty and for joining them [[DisappointedByTheMotive because he was dumped]].
* WeakBossStrongUnderlings: He is book smart and ruthless, but even though he has a few gadgets, he is still far weaker than his creations, most notably the fearsome Force Hunters.

Austen Plane is the true leader of the Way of Truth, a cult that worships the Black Legion. While he relies on a figurehead, he takes action once said figurehead is down.

* GreaterScopeVillain: Of Pan's spinoff. He sends the Way of Truth to the Grand Line, and while he is never even mentioned, he leads the cult that causes all the conflict in the first half of the story.

* MindRape: He usually breaks the minds of his enemies as his preferred attack, leaving them empty shells. [[spoiler:Though it doesn't work on Finn and Leah.]]

He himself [[spoiler:is beaten by Finn and Leah, but sends them to the second layer of Hell, showing Hell can be more vicious than just Limbo, forcing them to fight a Goetic and leaving them out of the battles with Titan's forces until the Trio gets involved.]]
* StarterVillain: Leading the Way of Truth that caused trouble close to the end of the second Season, he is the first proper foe of the third one.

An Archdemon who is one of the Nine Big Heads of Japan. He kidnaps the Nutty Poet to get her to make him unlimited sake.

* DrunkenMaster: He can use many attacks related to drinking, and get drunk for a power boost.
* EvilIsPetty: His reason for kidnapping the Poet? Wanting unlimited drinks.
* GreaterScopeVillain: He appears in the Nutty Poet's spinoff for the first time, but he is not fought or meant to be fought. In fact, the Poet only visits him for a favor.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: A brute that drinks a lot doesn't sound intimidating, but a brute that drinks a lot and has soundly ''beaten Leah in a duel in Season 2'' is worthy of being called an Archdemon.
* PlayingWithFire: Fire is his primary element, as he can breathe it, use his fiery hair and in general utilize fire-based spells.
* UnskilledButStrong: When he is drunk, he is even stronger, but his skills and fighting ability suffer otherwise.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: When he presumes his friend [[spoiler:Kaeden]] is killed by [[spoiler:Vi,]] he grieves for a bit before he gets ''pissed'' and [[spoiler:personally kills her in return.]]
* TheHeavy: He is the acting leader of the Remnant because Palpatine is technically dead.
* HeroKiller: [[spoiler:Kills Vi Moradi and amputates Jannah before barely losing to Finn.]]

* CyberneticsEatYourSoul: After [[spoiler:his defeat and near-death at the hands of Vi, he returns with cybernetic implants, and is just as vicious as before.]]
* EvilCounterpart: To Poe Dameron. He is a cruel, fanatical Imperial who is an ace pilot, the highest ranking member of his side without powers and leads his own elite squadron. He is also loyal to a Force user that leads his side, just like Poe.
* NotQuiteDead: He almost dies in the hands of [[spoiler:Vi]], but recovers, even though [[spoiler:most of his body is artificial afterwards]].
* SoreLoser: He doesn't take his defeats with dignity.

* ArchEnemy: To Rose Tico, he faces her twice and the two have grueling fights.
* BigBadWannabe: He is a legitimately good pilot with enhanced senses, and has a high position, but is nowhere near as dangerous as Palpatine, or as great as he thinks he is.
* CompositeCharacter: From ''[[Literature/TheGloveOfDarthVader Trioculus]]'' and ''[[VideoGame/StarFox64 Andrew Oikonny]]''. He has the three eyes and can pilot a ship, but like both of them, he is an average foe who relies on the name of someone far more dangerous.
* IWantMyMommy: "Grandpa Palpatine!"
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He might not be as competent as he thinks, but he still [[spoiler:nearly killed Rose twice and also came close to stopping the stealthed bombers from breaching the Sion, as he was the one who spotted them.]]
* OvershadowedByAwesome: He is a good pilot, but pales in comparison to the rest of the Alpha Squadron, who are all aces. He also has enhanced senses, but not to the level of normal Force users.

The Emperor of the Galactic Empire, a tyrant who wants to rule the Galaxy again even after being slain twice.

* AlwaysSecondBest: He is the second greatest Dark Lord, and very bitter about it.
* BadBoss: He sees everyone under him as disposable. Even Kor.
* BadFuture: He shows a vision of one to Rey, pushing her further into the Dark Side. It is basically what would happen if Rey stayed imprinted for the rest of her life, and involves her being terrible to her friends, helping slavers but not their slaves and dismissing Leia's death as necessary for her own future.
* DualWielding: He wields twin lightsabers.
* EvilMentor:
** To Rey, as he plans to corrupt her and make her his successor. He, just like with Anakin, plans to turn Rey's love for Finn into a destructive obsession to corrupt her faster.
** To High Priest Kor, as he teaches Kor to be the acting leader of the Remnant, so Kor can revive him.
* GlassCannon: While he was alive, his physical body was frail. Subverted in the final battle, where his soul isn't limited by his body and is stronger while in Hell. That surprises the Dark One, who has to damage him repeatedly in their fight.
* GreaterScopeVillain: He has a lot of impact in the story, even while dead, and is responsible for the final battle with Dark Rey in the first Season, as well as the true mastermind behind the Remnant.
* MythologyGag: As in every trilogy, he ends up electrocuting himself during his final defeat.
* ANaziByAnyOtherName: Just like his canon self, he acts a lot like Nazis, being a human supermacist, not above genocide, who has a CultOfPersonality and exploits crises to gain power.
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: Palpatine is a tyrant who has made planet-busting weapons, but claims to protect the Galaxy from the Black Legion and the Yuuzhan Vong. In reality, he wants to become the Dark One himself.
* ShadowArchetype: To [[WhiteMansBurden Grand Ruler Celesto]] of all people. Both will exploit a crisis to expand their empire, but only Palpatine will create the crisis in the first place. Celesto might let people die, even [[MurderByInaction on purpose]], but Palpatine actively sends forces at anyone who opposes him. He also has no problem killing and replacing his generals, unlike the Grand Ruler. Finally, Palpatine has blown up planets very casually and with no remorse, while Celesto is not so willing to do so.
* ShockAndAwe: He is the greatest at using Force Lightning, even casting planet-busting storms of it.
* SpiritAdvisor: He is one both to Rey and Kor, and a very dark example.
* VillainousBreakdown: When both Rey and Finn reject his offers at different points, he panics.
* VillainousLegacy: A Remnant led by Kor survives him and plans to bring him back to life.

The true leader of Starfleet, king of Unicornicopia and its whole empire.

* AdaptationalVillainy: He is someone who saves planets from threats, which he didn't make up, only to take over the planets and make them follow his culture. Also a shady dictator.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: He believes [[spoiler:Emil Kudos, who is sending Yuuzhan Vong to slaughter several civilians for petty reasons,]] is not the true villain responsible for the attacks, but it's Peach Berry, [[spoiler:because she dumped him and so [[EntitledToHaveYou he became a criminal]] who wants revenge.]] He also believes that [[spoiler:Leah has ruined Finn for helping him heal from his anger towards Rey.]]
* EnergyWeapon: He has invented the ability to [[spoiler:create weapons out of Uniforce]], and only he can master it.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: While he saves other races from threats for the price of ruling them, he never engineers the threats, and he also doesn't casually blow up planets, unlike [[spoiler:Palpatine.]] Also, he is strongly against sending troops on a mission with exactly zero chance to survive.
* GodzillaThreshold: [[spoiler:The Serpent Monarch, a planet-busting ship he uses only when his whole empire is in grave danger.]]
* HangingJudge: He is the supreme judge in his own empire, and can give brutal punishments to anyone who defies him.
* IOweYouMyLife: Weaponized. He saves worlds from existing threats so they will be indebted to him and he can colonize them.
* {{Irony}}: A meta example. It was fairly common to criticize Celesto's appearance of a three-horned Alicorn as comparing him to a ''Triceratops''. In this story, Celesto makes a point of singling out [=SkullFace=] to be assassinated [[spoiler:due to having been left with a nasty albeit long since mostly healed wound in his torso left by [=SkullFace=].]] [=SkullFace=], as noted elsewhere, is a very '''literal''' ''Triceratops'' from the [=EarthWalker=] Tribe.
* ALighterShadeOfBlack: His atrocities are directly comparable to [[spoiler:Palpatine's]], but he always comes off as the better one of the two. For example, he will let someone die if that helps his colonialism, but [[spoiler:never sends his troops to their deaths or betrays them first. When he learns a zealot of his knowingly sent soldiers in a battlefield he would destroy soon as meat shields with no way of escape, he furiously tells him to call off the fodder and that if he completes the mission, he will ''merely'' be imprisoned. He also claims he never blows up planets, and while [[GodzillaThreshold he has done that]], he is not proud of it, unlike Palpatine who doesn't care.]]
* MurderByInaction: He never actively gets any important authorities he wants to replace with his [[PuppetKing generals]] killed: he just lets them die to external threats.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He might look like a delusional leader who enforces silly values and [[spoiler:gets fooled by an evil actor who just happens to be smart]], but his way of expanding his empire, eliminating existing threats at the price of being the new ruler, helps him be supported by the people he rules over. [[spoiler:He also defeats Jannah and Leah in their first encounter, and, while [=SkullFace=] stops him and Finn saves Leah's life, Celesto still comes very close to beating the Triceratops as well through using a Stand before his injuries exhaust him. While he loses a courtroom case which he rigged and throws a tantrum because of it, he proves to be a very hard enemy in physical combat.]]
* PunchCatch: Subverted when he tries to stop Leah's Sonic Overdrive with one finger. He does stop the punch, but his finger is sore and the soundwave still hits him.
* ScarsAreForever: {{Averted}}: the initial wound [=SkullFace=] dealt to his torso has almost entirely healed by this point, at least, physically that is. Mentally, with how much this wounded Celesto's pride, he still tends to feel the pain at times.
* SkewedPriorities: He won't send anyone to save a princess, but will send an assassin after someone who wounded him once and stopped one of his military expansions.
* SuperToughness: Took a goring attack from [=SkullFace=] at one point and managed to survive it; the wound would've killed just about anyone else of similar size to Celesto. He also takes several powerful attacks head-on in the final fight of the second Season.

In the final battle with Starfleet, he returns, but has no big fight and only focuses on escaping, as several fighters are out of his league. Later, he returns to the Grand Line and goes straight for the One Piece... until Akainu shoots down his new ship in one hit.]]
* CombatPragmatist: He will do any dirty trick to win, from faking surrender to getting help.
* HumongousMecha: [[spoiler:The Kriegborg is huge, flies and has even heavier weapons that Krieg himself.]]

The nickname not only reflects how absolutely puny he is compared to the real [=SkullFace=], but also is emphasized by his burrowing ability he uses to make a quick entry or escape with.]]
* BloodKnight: Fake Alix loves fighting for sport.
* BoobBasedGag: Fake Rey has very big breasts to show how poorly she imitates the genuine article, who is flat-chested.
* TheBrute: Unlike the original, who is a small woman with a paintbrush and has to be creative, the Fake Nutty Poet is a big, muscular woman with a bazooka. Similarly, Fake Rey is a large woman with a claymore.
* CorneredRattlesnake: They might be weak cowards, but [[spoiler:when it's their time to die, they refuse to go down easily until [[HeroAntagonist Din Djarin]] has to come for them.]]
* CurbStompBattle: They pick on weak monsters, which helps them maintain their cover as they win easily. But [[spoiler:they are crushed swiftly by Din and the first Force Hunter in the end.]]

* WeWinBecauseYouDidnt: Essentially the contribution of Pan and his crew in Wano. They knew they [[spoiler:couldn't beat the Big Mom Pirates all by themselves, so their goal was to make sure the enemy was distracted and doesn't endanger the Straw Hats. Thus, they succeeded at stalling Smoothie's forces and allowing the Alliance to win the Battle of Wano]].

* NoSell: Since she started leading her own pack and founding Stormwolf, she is now immune to the Alpha Order.
