* IJustWantToBeBadass: During the invasion of Kamino, 99 is quick to help however he can, and seems determined to finally contribute to a battle like he was meant to do. Sadly, this makes him take unnecessary risks that end up getting him killed.
* NiceGuy: He is one of the nicest clones introduced, never mocking or insulting anybody else, even teasingly, which most of the other clones do. Instead he simply tries to give them advice if they will listen to him.
* SenselessSacrifice: In "ARC Troopers", 99 ends up dying in an attempt to get more grenades. While it's certainly heroic that he was willing to try, that hallway was a deathtrap and even a Jedi would have had trouble running that gauntlet. His death ultimately accomplished nothing, though his life certainly mattered.

A fanatically loyal rookie trooper assigned to the 501st Legion starting with the Battle of Umbara. And this fanaticism for the chain of command becomes his undoing when General Pong Krell temporarily takes control of the 501st.

* Deconstruction: He may be one for the idea that clones are mindlessly obedient slave soldiers that follow every order no matter what (which The Clone Wars has gone to great lengths to disprove). When placed in the command of an uncaring and wasteful Jedi general, he fanatically supports his strategies while the 501st veterans see him as a reckless ControlFreak. Once Krell's true nature starts began exposing itself (starting with being tricked into killing into his own brothers), Dogma's sense of loyalty starts to break down and is finally shattered once Krell reveals why he did it. After he executes Krell, he is then taken into custody for unwittingly supporting him.

* ClonesArePeopleToo: Says this in his speech towards Krell.
* ConflictingLoyalty: During the Umbara arc, he found himself stuck between his duty to lead and protect his troops, and his loyalty towards his (temporary) superior officer.
* ADayInTheLimelight: "The Deserter" and the Umbara-arc mostly focused on him.
* GenreSavvy: He was smart enough to play along when Ventress attempted to use a mind trick on him, and smart enough to subtly alert Anakin in the process.

* GunsAkimbo: Seems like Rex has a bit more of Jango in him than most clones.
* HeroicWillpower: He was able to resist a JediMindtrick by Ventress.

At evening he found out that the husband of Suu, the woman who took him in, is a deserter clone called Cut Lawquane. After he got to know Cut and his family, and fought side-by-side with him, Suu asked him, whether he was going to turn Cut in for deserting the army. Rex answered that he had no choice in the matter, but then reminded them that "in his condition", he wouldn't be able remember the meeting.
* TheLancer: To Anakin, a role he shares with Ahsoka.
* MadeOfIron: In "The Deserter", he took a blaster bolt to the chest, and not only survived, he was up and fighting that very night.
* ManInAKilt: Wears a kama like most clone commanders.
* NumberTwo: To Anakin.
* OutOfCharacterAlert: Deliberately used it in The Clone Wars movie, when Ventress tried to use a JediMindTrick to make him contact Anakin. He not only resisted the mind trick, but fooled Ventress by seemingly complying. This way he was able to warn Anakin by calling him on his first name - which is something Rex wouldn't do for any other reason, since Anakin is his superior officer.
* SatelliteCharacter: Despite being the clone who appears the most frequently, for a long time he was only characterized as "the badass clone captain following Anakin and Ahsoka about". Even when he got a deeper characterization in "The Deserter" and the Umbara-arc, this was brought out by having him react to the personality of/decisions made by others:
** In "The Deserter" he met Cut Lawquane (a clone deserter), and despite disagreeing with him, Rex came to accept his view on matters.
** It's even more apparent in the Umbara arc, when Anakin's replaced by Krell. While Rex disagreed with Krell's orders, he still went through with them, and didn't do anything to stop the execution of Fives and Jesse, until the troopers defied his (Krell's) orders to do it.
* ScarsAreForever: Rex has a small scar below his lip, resembling one of HarrisonFord's.
* TheyCallMeMisterTibbs: After refusing to execute Fives and Jesse, Krell called Rex a "clone", to which he responded with "It's Captain, sir."
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: He is presented with this choice in the Umbara arc. He ultimately chooses to be good, turning on Krell.
** Previously, he chose to "forget" he ever found Cut Lawquane, rather than turn him in as a deserter.

Once a member of the dysfunctional cadet squad, Domino Squad, he and Echo became part of the 501st Legion after showing their ingenuity during the battle of the Rishi moon and became ARC troopers after the battle of Kamino. He would later learn one of the most horrible secrets of the clone army and pay with his life for it.
----
* AppropriatedAppellation: Nick-named "Fives" due to the large number of fives in his numerical designation.
* AscendedExtra: He was meant to be a one-shot clone created for the Season 1 episode "Rookies", but the episode and himself (along with Echo and Hevy) were so popular among fans that the creators decided to expand upon his character, and it got to the point where he rose to become a deuteragonist.
* BackForTheDead: He was killed at the climax of the Order 66 arc of season 6, his last appearance being the Umbara arc in season 4.
* Badass: Probably the biggest among the recurring clone characters. It says a lot that he was made an ARC trooper, since ARC units are supposedly a specially cloned and trained elite unit.
* BadassBeard: He has grown a goatee over the course of the series. The longer it's grown, the more badass he's become.
* EliteArmy: Becomes an ARC Trooper.
* GoMadFromTheRevelation: Finding out about all of the clones being secretly controlled via brain-chips and the conspiracy against the Jedi surely shook his mental stability. He was still sane when he learned of it, but getting drugged by Nala Se only made things even worse for him.
* IDieFree: He seemed to be glad to die without his chip and knowing the truth, despite being unable to properly share it.
* ImportantHaircut: He gets his head shaved completely bald when he gets his inhibitor chip surgically removed from his brain, indicating that he's free of the chip's influence. Justified in-universe in that AZ-3 had to shave him to perform the surgery properly.
* ManInAKilt: As an ARC Trooper.
* NewMeat: In his debut episode "Rookies", which provides the current page quote.
* Deuteragonist Quintagonist: Despite Rex being the most frequently recurring clone, Fives has a much more complex and rounded character arc built around him.
* PoorCommunicationKills: This was deliberately invoked on Nala Se's part, as she drugged him before they got to Coruscant to make him seem insane.
* SanitySlippage: Nala Se drugged him with some sort of compound that made him aggressive and paranoid while he was being transported back to Coruscant. By the time he found someone willing to hear him out that wasn't in on it, he was too incoherent to properly relay the knowledge.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: When he had enough of Krell's senseless orders costing the lives of many clones, he lead a fighter attack against a Separatist supply ship using hijacked Umbaran fighters despite Krell directly forbidding it. He also goes against orders to save Tup when Nala Se wants to kill him to discover what went wrong.
* ShootTheShaggyDog: Enforced by canon. He learned the truth behind Order 66, but since the Jedi never found out in the films, he's destined for failure. Having been drugged to render him incoherent, he cannot properly make his case to Anakin and Rex before he's found and shot, and Palpatine goes on to blame his death and that of Tup on madness from a rare parasite, allowing Nala Se to continue her work.
* SoleSurvivor: He's the only member of Domino Squad to survive, until the last season.
* TattooAsCharacterType: He has a number "5" tattooed on his right temple. When he's being hunted during the Order 66 arc, it's this tattoo that's used to identify him among the otherwise identical clones.
* TookALevelInBadass: In his debut episode, Fives was just a rookie trooper. By Season 4, he's an ARC-trooper and a bonafide BadassNormal.
* YouHaveToBelieveMe: As expected, he can't convince anybody about what he knows about the conspiracy. It helps that he's been drugged to incoherence and paranoia.

A fanatically loyal rookie trooper assigned to the 501st Legion starting with the Battle of Umbara.
----
* AppropriatedAppellation[=/=]MeaningfulName: He's dead-set on following orders without question.
* TheDogBitesBack: As Krell's actions became nastier and nastier, Dogma remained to loyal him, even after he tricked the troops of the 501st and the 212th into killing each other. However, after Krell explained his plans to Rex and the others, Dogma grabbed Fives' pistol and killed the traitorous Jedi.
* TheDragon: He was unwittingly one for Krell in the Umbara arc.
%%* FacialMarkings
* HeelRealization:He's genuinely crushed when he realizes that his faith in Krell was horribly misplaced.
* LawfulStupid: He maintains his stubborn belief in Krell's leadership, even when it's clear that Krell is a traitor. It takes Krell himself confessing to treason to break Dogma of his blind loyalty.
* MeaningfulName: A man who adheres strictly to military protocol is called "Dogma".
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: His personality is similar to Echo's, but with his attitude towards hierarchy and orders turned UpToEleven.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Tup.

----
* BoomHeadshot:
** In "Carnage of Krell", he shot Krell in the head with a stun-blast at point-blank range.
** In the Order 66 arc, he shot Jedi Master Tiplar in the head.
* BringIt: During the battle against General Krell, he stood next to a sd ManEatingPlant, and lured Krell towards it by shouting "Hey, ugly! Come and get me!" at him. Krell charged at Tup, and promptly stepped on one of the creature's tentacles, which immediately caught him.

A veteran, but somewhat mentally unhinged 501st trooper with a love for battle.
----
* AmbiguousDisorder: According to him, he thinks the leak he had in his growth acceleration chamber made him a bit unstable.
* AscendedExtra: He first appeared in the Season 2 episode, "The Deserter" but with a minor role and little characterization. It wasn't until Season 4's Umbara arc that he had a major role and got his BloodKnight tendencies.
%%* BaldOfAwesome
* BloodKnight: He's rather trigger-happy, and others constantly lampshade that he tends to "dive in head first" into the action.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In his debut appearance in "The Deserter", he had little characterization and seemed to be levelheaded. It wasn't until Season 4's Umbara arc that he became the somewhat unhinged BloodKnight we now know him as.
* FacialMarkings: Has several tattoos on his face.
* FallingIntoTheCockpit: In accordance with Rex's and Fives' plans he piloted an Umbaran starfighter during the battle of Umbara. He has no pilot-training, and the starfighters are controlled by motion capture, which is above the galactic standard, but despite some initial difficulties, he figured out the controls rather quickly.
* FamousLastWords: "Live to fight another day, boys! ... Live to fight another day..."
* GatlingGood: Used a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon during the battle of Umbara.
* HeroicSacrifice: When a ray shield prevented him, Fives, and Jesse from blowing up the main reactor of a Separatist supply ships main reactor by firing on it, he smashed the damaged plasma-canon of his hijacked Umbaran fighter into it blowing it up, and saving the 501st from being exposed to the rockets launched from it.
* LeeroyJenkins: As described in BloodKnight, he's known to "dive in headfirst". The only reason this doesn't cause problems for his squad is that he has his fellow squadmates to restrain him ahead of time and he seems to know his limits.
* MauveShirt: He appeared in the Season 2 episode "The Deserter", but didn't have much of an actual role. He returned in the Umbara-arc of Season 4, and became an important character for the first three-episodes, before giving his life for the others.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: He was in the middle of an explosion that blew up the Separatist supply ship.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: He wasn't always, but he became one for Hevy during the Umbara arc, right down to the Z-6 rotary cannon as his WeaponOfChoice (although he's also seen using a DC-15a carbine sometimes), his BloodKnight tendencies (albeit a bit more mentally unhinged while still being sane), and sacrificing himself in an explosion to complete his mission.

* SarcasticClapping: He does this after General Krell orders the 501st to lock down all the Umbaran starfighters just after Hardcase properly learned how to control them... by blowing up half the hanger, including its door.
-->Jesse: I thought the plan was to blow up the supply ship, not our own hangar.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: He joins Fives and Hardcase for the attack on the Separatist supply ship for the same reasons as the former (whereas Hardcase is just a thrill-seeker), although he admits that he's only willing to fly an unfamiliar starfighter and fly into a space battle is because he doesn't like General Krell.

----
* BadassMustache: Boil sports a mustache that frames his mouth and chin, and Commander Cody considered him to be one of the two best soldiers in the 212th.
* BaldOfAwesome: Waxer shaves his head bald.
* CanonImmigrant: Waxer first appeared in the "Slaves of the Republic" tie-in comicbook series, though it was only a very small role. He appeared in the episode "Innocents of Ryloth" for the first time.
* CharacterDeath: Waxer got killed on Umbara, when the traitorous Krell tricked the batallions of the 501st and the 212th into fighting each other.
* MauveShirt: Waxer got killed in his third appearance.
* Rewrite: The "Slaves of the Republic" storyline was adapted into a trilogy of episodes. However, Waxer, who first appeared in the first issue of the comicbook-series was killed during the Battle of Umbara, which preceded the episode adaptations. This lead to Boil filling in Waxer's small role.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: In their debut episode, Waxer was constantly side-tracked by his worry for Numa, making him the sensitive guy, which annoyed Boil, who was more interested in completing their mission and reporting back in time. However by the end of the episode, Boil too grew really attached to the little girl.
* SingleTear: Waxer shed one as he died. Not because he was dying, but because he was tricked into killing his own brothers, and got wounded by one of them.
* ThoseTwoGuys: In their first two appearances.
* TookALevelInKindness: Boil at the beginning of their debut episode was rather dismissive of the Twi'lek civilians, calling them "tail-heads", and even claimed that if the clone army is forced to save them, they should at least get out their way. By the end of the episode he grew very attached to Numa, the little Twi'lek orphan they found, and by their next appearance he had the girl's face painted on his helmet.

Once a member of the dysfunctional Domino Squad during their cadet days and longing for action on the front lines, he and the rest of the Dominoes were assigned to a listening post on the Rishi moon not far from Kamino. He gets his wish when the Separatists send an attack force to the moon to take over the listening post.
----
* AppropriatedAppellation: Likely named Hevy due his heavy personality, which reflected in his preference for heavy weapons like the Z-7 Rotary Cannon.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: At the begining of "Rookies", he was the most eager of the squad to be on the front lines. His wish was granted, when the frontlines came to the outpost they were defending, .
* BloodKnight: Of all the members of Domino Squad, he's the most eager to see real action and is also the most aggressive member of the group.

%%* JerkWithAHeartOfGold
* LeeroyJenkins: He was like this at the beginning of "Clone Cadets", often breaking formation with his squad during the tests. It was breaking away from this behavior that allowed him and Domino Squad to finally pass the graduation exam.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Considering that he was completely enveloped in a fiery explosion, this seems to be the case.

* LeeroyJenkins: Like Hevy, he tended to run off on his own during training, but unlike Hevy, he either lacked the skill to back it up, or he simply had really bad luck.

* CoolHelmet: A Clone Commando helmet that has a bunch of tally marks on it, presumably him keeping track of his kills.
* DyingMomentOfAwesome: Assuming he did die.
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: After Gascon convinced him that he's a soldier, he cut his hair shorter and shaved off his beard. He said he did it because he thought that looking like a soldier might help bring back his memories.

Also when they were confronted by their earlier lifes, Cut declared that he'd only ever fight again for his family. Gregor on the other hand JumpedAtTheCall and did everything in his power to assure the success of Gascon's mission.
* IdentityAmnesia: When Gascon first met him, he was timid, shy and uncertain. After he got his gear, and some of his memories back, his true personality turned out to be a that of self-confident, selfless soldier.
