After the Crux was banished back to his home realm, other races would take the mantle of the Sohet as their own; among them, the [[ProudMerchantRace Merovar Dynasty]] became the world's greatest economic superpower, while the nation of [[CatFolk Khaepsha-ultan]] sought to use the Sohet's legacy to achieve dominance. At the northern region, the [[TheEmpire High Kingdom of Alhassal]], the most [[FantasticRacism racist]] province of the Empire of Man, threatens the uneasy peace of the region's predominantly BeastMan population.
