* SayingTooMuch: In ''Spectacular Spider-Man'' (Vol.2) #16, when news of the kiss between Spider-Man and The Queen spreads across the city, with everyone making it sound like ''Spider-Man'' was the one who initiated it instead of the other way around, and making it seem like the two are a couple, Aunt May was one of the few people that didn't believe the rumors and correctly thought it was being blown out of proportion. When she runs into Mary Jane at the grocery store though, she tries to check on her and how she is okay about "Peter kissing that awful woman on the news", before realizing this is the first Mary Jane has actually heard about the kiss and quickly excuses herself, realizing she has said too much.

A tailor for super-people.

* HeelFaceTurn: Spider-Man and his future self are able to convince Master Matrix to abandon his plans of destruction, and he looks to present Spider-Man and Deadpool to help him decide what to do next.
* {{Irony}}: He got along with Mary Jane Watson while both were working at Mysterio's movie, not knowing Mary Jane is the girlfriend of one of his "fathers".
* MysteriousPast: Who originally built him is unknown. His blueprints were discovered on an old HYDRA base, blueprints HYDRA itself discovered some time before that.
* SuperPrototype: Master Matrix is one to the original S.H.I.E.L.D. LMD units, who were all reverse-engineered from him by Richard and Mary Parker.

advertise - but he caters to just about ''every'' super-human in the Marvel Universe, heroes and villains alike. (Why does he see nothing wrong with Mary Jane Watson while both were working at Mysterio's movie, not knowing Mary Jane is this? As he explains, "If Doctor Octopus goes into a deli and orders a cheese sandwich and the girlfriend clerk gives it to him, does that make the clerk a bad man? Everyone has to eat, everyone needs clothes.") To avoid conflicts between the heroes and villains, his shop is open for the first group on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, the second on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. He also maintains a strict confidentiality policy for all of his clients, only breaking it once in order to prevent a murder. Otherwise, his clients have included such big names as ComicBook/TheAvengers, ComicBook/XMen, and ComicBook/DoctorDoom.
* SuperCostumeClothier: He is tailor to heroes and villains alike, though to prevent fights from starting in his store he sees heroes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and villains on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He's less "high-end fashion designer" and more "small business owning old-fashioned tailor" but he is
one of the few people on either side of the hero/villain divide who can fix things like pants that can be worn by [[ComicBook/TheThing a 7-foot-tall brawler with skin made of rocks]] or who can patch holes in the cape of [[Characters/MarvelComicsDoctorDoom Dr Victor Von Doom]].
* WelcomeToEvilMart: As he makes costumes for the heroes ''and'' villains, he alternates days, opening
his "fathers".

* DentedIron: While still a large and strong man, a career in professional wrestling left him with many of the health issues that came with the profession. After wrestling, he worked as a janitor in the same gym he formally trained at.
* ExactWords: How Peter Parker won their first match. The prize of $100 (equivalent to over $800 in 2021 dollars) was to anyone who could stay in the ring with Crusher for three minutes. Normally, this would mean they could keep Hogan from pinning them or putting them in a submission hold, or put Crusher in the same position. Peter simply used his superior speed, strength, and agility to dodge Crusher's attacks for the duration of the match. The match ended when Peter easily picked up Hogan and carried him partway up a support pillar before gently setting him back down. Hogan quickly conceded.
* {{Heel}}: His wrestling image, intended to get people to want to enter the ring and try to beat him. Outside the ring, he was actually pretty friendly and low-key.
* PetTheDog: At the gym, Crusher would tell the other gym members harmless stories about how he trained Spider-Man, helped him develop his costumes and web-shooters, and started him on his superhero career. These stories were generally not believed. A chance encounter with Spider-Man at the gym ended with the members telling Spider-Man all of Crusher's stories. Crusher was in the background and clearly ashamed that the truth was about to come out, but Spider-Man good-naturedly played along, shaking Crusher's hand and thanking him for all his help in front of everyone. The scene ended with Crusher in tears as the rest of the gym members shook his hand and apologized for doubting him.

* TheExsNewJerkass: ''ComicBook/TheAmazingSpiderMan2022'' sees Mary Jane seemingly in a relationship with a man named Paul after breaking up with Peter ''[[StatusQuoIsGod again]]'' following a NoodleIncident. He's perfectly kind to her, but shows shades of being a SmugSnake as he displays CondescendingCompassion towards Peter and in a flashback [[NoodleIncident punched him in the face with no context given]].
* TheScrappy: He quickly became this due to how sudden he showed up to derail MJ and Peter's relationship just as it seemed that they were back together in [[ComicBook/TheAmazingSpiderMan2018 the previous run]]. The fact that Mary Jane absolutely refused to explain everything and left readers in the dark for about a year did not help in trying to endear readers to him. His only point as a character is to enforce StatusQuoIsGod by keeping Peter and MJ apart, because he has very little personality outside of that. To make matters worse, he's clearly ''not'' meant to be a HateSink, because most of the time, he's actually ''nice'', which actually only makes him worse in the fans' eyes, to the point that he's gained an ironic fanbase around this.
