* BroodingBoyGentleGirl: Caius is someone with a terrible past, and it’s deeply affected him. Claudia, while bratty and haughty at times, does manage to bring the best out of him through being nice.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Caius is 5’10” compared to Claudia’s 4'7". He’s more than a whole foot taller!
* LadyAndKnight: Not actually, but they seem to subtly sport this dynamic. In fact, the chapter title that details their meeting is “Another Day: My Knight in Shining Armor,” implying this is how Claudia really views Caius.
* MistressAndServantBoy: Shades of this. In Chapter 2, Caius is carrying both his and Claudia’s supplies and books. She carries nothing but her own body weight. Then, there’s the fact that Caius provides the lemons to Claudia upon her demand.

!!Caius Vladingham
Caius Vladingham is a member of the Vladingham Family, birthed into the family by Amagai Vladingham and Rukia Forsythia. He is the youngest of four, consisting of himself, Chloe, Remus, and Phyllis Vladingham. A boy who lived a completely normal life, his life turned upside down when, two years prior to the beginning of ''Soul Eater: Troubled Souls,'' a witch named Cancer Lucrenian killed off the entire family in an event to be called ‘The Vladingham Family Massacre.’ Miraculously, he survived, was treated, and taken into the care of the Academy. After meeting and befriending a young girl named Claudia Moncharmin, he seeks revenge in order to make Cancer pay for her crimes.

Making his first appearance in the story in the prologue, Caius is a 16-year-old Lance Meister and one of the many students in the Academy. He enrolled at the DWMA as a Half Moon Class student for two years until he transferred to Class Crescent Moon five weeks prior to the story’s beginning.

[[spoiler: Because of the trauma he experienced from the Vladingham Family Massacre, he didn't want to get close to anyone no matter his true feelings toward them. Altruistic, but it caused him emotional pain and prevented Joint Resonance.]] Maka and Soul get him out of this.
* FamilyHonor: He viewed his sister Phyllis as a role model, his dad Amagai is the object of his idolatry, and he unquestioningly loved of the rest of his immediate family. For ''non-blood'' Vladinghams, it seemed he had quite a bit of friends, including Vyoma and Marina, the latter of which he had a small crush on. To sum it, Caius has a lot of {{Pride}} in the Vladingham Family and believes Cancer living on without being punished is a great injustice.

!!Claudia Moncharmin
Claudia Moncharmin is the only daughter between Diana and Claude Moncharmin. The Moncharmins are a wealthy family whose roots are traced back to France. Claudia herself initially attended the Academy of the Arts in France to practice ballet. However, an unfortunate accident regarding her PartialTransformation resulted in her expulsion from the school. As a result, she now attends the DWMA as an alternative.

One night when she decided to get away from another gathering at her family’s mansion, a young boy named Caius managed to rescue her from potential thieves. Thereafter, she gave him a place to stay and became Caius’s partner. Claudia is 14-years-old and her weapon form is known as the Demon Lance.

It should be noted that Claudia does not belong to the author but rather a friend he calls [=HopeDiamond101=].

* AttentionWhore: According to narration, Claudia tends to make herself known around the Academy, being a member of the rich Moncharmins.
* AtLeastIAdmitIt: During the Kumbaya Circle, Claudia describes Gertrude and her posse from the Academy of the Arts as "rude, mean, and always [looking down on] people". She notices Maka and Black☆Star giving her looks and defends herself with more or less this trope.

!!Tsuji Ricardsen
Tsuji Ricardsen is the 15-year-old son of Noel Ricardsen and Rowena Ricardsen’s twin brother. Originally, he hails from Cambridge, Massachusetts where he and the rest of his family stayed for the majority of his life. He learned how to shoot a bow and arrow at around the age of 5.

One day when his family visited their uncle Edward in Chicago, Noel stopped and picked up two strangers in the rain. One of them was Marcellus, who would become his partner at the DWMA. For two years, Tsuji and Rowena trained under their father to prepare for their enrollment in Death Weapon Meister Academy. He is introduced as a 15-year-old freshman and is a Bow Meister.

* ArcherArchetype: Tsuji is a Bow Meister, meaning he specializes in archery. Well, this may be long-range weaponry in general seeing as he can use a javelin quite well too.
** FriendlySniper: Tsuji can also play the role of a sniper, staying behind his allies or stationing a post in higher grounds to help support or outright oneshot enemies.
** ImprobableAimingSkills: According to Chapter 24 in the Cobra Island Arc, shooting down two suspended cages at the same time in different positions at a fair amount of distance is considered an ''easy'' shot for Tsuji. That’s just only one example.

* TheStraightAndArrowPath: In a setting where we have scythes, twin pistols, ninja weapons, mirrors, lamps, and everything in-between, Tsuji settles on a Demon Bow and does a damn good job at making the style look relevant.
* SuperSpeed: In Chapter 5, Tsuji runs the 100m dash in 6.11 seconds. Considering canon, this means only Black☆Star and Kilik are faster. In battle, Tsuji moves around a lot, demonstrating amazing speed and reflexes. So this trope is a staple of his abilities.
* UnfortunateName: He is an American with a decidedly un-American forename.
** NonIndicativeName: According to his character biography, the name 'Tsuji' refers to Masunobu Tsuji, a tactician of the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second World War. Tsuji is not the strategic, or even the smart, type; that role belongs to his partner, Marcellus.

* CombinationAttack: Her Joint Resonance with Kilik, DDT[[note]]Deadly Destruction Twins[[/note]].

Nayumi was born in Quebec, Canada. However, this led to Nayumi almost breaking, becoming increasingly nihilistic due to their lack of care for her. One day, when she was 12, the [[spoiler: Canadian police stopped and arrested her parents near the border,]] but she managed to escape on a boat and get into America. She met Marcellus in Chicago and ultimately convinced him to leave after a heartfelt conversation.

Their efforts eventually paid off, resulting them in meeting the Ricardsens. She winds up becoming Rowena’s partner for the DWMA. In the Introduction Arc, now leagues more cheerful and happier than in ''Saeculum'', Nayumi debuts as a 14-year-old Demon Sledgehammer.

Caius Vladingham is a member of the Vladingham Family, birthed into the family by Amagai Vladingham and Rukia Forsythia. He is the youngest of four, consisting of himself, Chloe, Remus, and Phyllis Vladingham. A boy who lived a completely normal life, his life turned upside down when, two years prior to the beginning of ''Soul Eater: Troubled Souls,'' a witch named Cancer Lucrenian killed off the entire family in an event to be called ‘The Vladingham Family Massacre.’ Miraculously, he survived, was treated, and taken into the care of the Academy. After meeting and befriending a young girl named Claudia Moncharmin, he seeks revenge in order to make Cancer pay for her crimes.

Making his first appearance in the story in the prologue, Caius is a 16-year-old Lance Meister and one of the many students in the Academy. He enrolled at the DWMA as a Half Moon Class student for two years until he transferred to Class Crescent Moon five weeks prior to the story’s beginning.
