* EmotionSuppression: Caius highly attempted this. [[spoiler: Because of the trauma he experienced from the Vladingham Family Massacre, he didn't want to get close to anyone no matter his true feelings toward them. Altruistic, but it caused him emotional pain and prevented Joint Resonance. Maka and Soul get him out of this.]]

* IneffectualLoner: Caius starts out as a loner. Though, he does make some good progress on his own, obtaining respectable strength, his feelings made Joint Resonance impossible. [[spoiler: He also couldn't defeat Cancer's experiment without Maka and Soul's help. He would've died too.]] He gets much better.

ImprobableAimingSkills: According to Chapter 24 in the Cobra Island Arc, shooting down two suspended cages at the same time in different positions at a fair amount of distance is considered an ''easy'' shot for Tsuji. That’s just only one example.

* BewareTheSillyOnesBewareTheSillyOnes: A character you can rely on for comic relief, but also a skilled meister.

* TheCoatsAreOff: Removes his blazer in Chapter 24.
* CombatParkour: Good luck seeing Tsuji stay in one place during a fight. Except when he’s busy sniping people faraway.

* HurricaneKick

* KickChick: More like [[GenderInvertedTrope Kick]] ''[[GenderInvertedTrope Dude]]''! Tsuji prefers to attack using his lower body when in a close-quarters combat situation and is well-versed in kickboxing.

* SheFu: Rare male example. Tsuji is very acrobatic, using series of polished but athletic movements to get him around or line him up for a proper shot.

* SuperSpeed: In Chapter 5, Tsuji runs the 100m dash in 6.11 seconds. Considering canon, this means only Blackstar and Kilik are faster. In battle, [[CombatParkour Tsuji moves around a lot]], demonstrating amazing speed and reflexes. So this trope is a staple of his abilities.

!!Tropes applying to both Caius and Claudia
* BlueBoyPinkGirl: Claudia is mostly associated with pink while Caius is no doubt associated with blue.
* BroodingBoyGentleGirl: Caius is someone with a terrible past, and it’s deeply affected him. Claudia, while bratty and haughty at times, does manage to bring the best out of him through being nice.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Caius is 5’10” compared to Claudia’s 4'7". He’s more than a whole foot taller!
* LadyAndKnight: Not actually, but they seem to subtly sport this dynamic. In fact, the chapter title that details their meeting is “Another Day: My Knight in Shining Armor,” implying this is how Claudia really views Caius.

One of the four homerooms for designated EAT Class students.

* TheBrute: Klemens claims that this class is full of classless brutes, but Madeline says that only about half of them are. Professor Matilda calls them "warriors." Nonetheless, the statements say quite a bit about their image.

!!Professor Gregory Matilda
The 41-year-old homeroom teacher of the Half Moon Class and godfather of Meredith and Luther. He apparently bears a grudge toward Professor Stein and Class Crescent Moon for presently unknown reasons.

* {{Jerkass}}: Doesn’t bother to remember those who leave the Half Moon Class and calls Class Crescent Moon “pathetic.” [[ThisIsGonnaSuck This isn’t gonna be fun in the future…]]
* SternTeacher / SadistTeacher: Ox brings forth the rumor that Professor Matilda is very strict in both training and teaching. Caius doesn’t exactly deny those, but his methods do work.
* SupernaturalMartialArts: Knows Soul Fist from the Olmett Family.
* WhatsInItForMe: Says this trope word-for-word when Stein asks for his help for the field exam. Though, he’s keeping his students in mind as well since he doesn’t like that Class Crescent Moon is getting something the others aren’t.

!!Madeline
A Half Moon Class student. Her weapon form is a claymore. She appears to be Australian.

* ActionGirl: One of the few Demon Weapons that’ll regularly put herself into a fight without hesitation.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: According to her, most of Class Half Moon aren’t too keen on the idea of her having a meister outside of the class.
* AwesomeAussie
* AustralianAccent: Written with one. Though, so far, it’s not that exaggerated aside from usage of slang.
* {{BFS}}: Demon Claymore. According to Madeline herself, her weapon form can both crush and cut.
* BloodKnight: Not overly in love with combat, but it seems to be a passion of hers. She may be more of a ChallengeSeeker.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: The Energetic Girl to Klemens’s Savvy Guy.
* IncomingHam: You ''will'' know when Madeline is around.
* KickingAssInAllHerFinery: She wears a dress… as she punches people into walls.
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Klemens’s blue.
* ShoutOut: Her weapon form’s descriptions brings to mind the claymores [[KingdomHearts Saix]] use.
* SpitShake: Does one after formally meeting Maka. Both she and Klemens are kinda disgusted.

The main antagonist of ''Soul Eater: Troubled Souls'', and [[spoiler: The Witch who was behind the Vladingham Family Massacre]]. She apparently wants to create a new world. She is behind the creation of the Anria and the experimental monster, ''00000Ω''.

* AnimalMotifs: Crabs.
* AntiquatedLinguistics: Doesn’t use contractions and has quite the healthy vocabulary to boot.
* BigBad
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Her SadisticChoice described in the main page helps underline this. Either way, she would benefit. Then, there’s the fact that she won’t say much to her enemies, keeping them in the dark.
* DarkActionGirl
* ContraltoOfDanger: Cancer has a deep, womanly voice befitting her role.
* FashionableAsymmetry: Her whole left arm is covered in lavender scarves for some reason, meaning she’s doing things with only one arm.
* GreenEyes: Emerald green.
* KillItWithWater / MakingASplash: Uses Water Magic.
* KnightOfCerebus: Her appearance during the Introduction Arc finally give us something to look forward to in terms of conflict.
* LackOfEmpathy
* MeaningfulName: Doubly so. The name “Cancer” makes you think of the constellation, Cancer the crab, which happens to be her animal motif, and the disease itself, which makes sense as she’s the main villain and has no qualms about taking lives.
* SummonMagic: She uses water as the medium to do so.
* SurveillanceAsThePlotDemands: She has Surveillance Crabs to help her monitor activity revolving her goals and relay any commands to those on the other line.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Silver, but close enough.

* SwissArmyWeapon: Both of them are capable of an ability called Mode Change, meaning they can convert the appearance of their weapons form into a related state, known as a "Form." For Marcellus, all Tsuji needs to do is some manual adjustment. For Nayumi, she and Rowena need to conduct a Soul Resonance first before the manual adjustment.
** Marcellus may be a Demon Bow, but his Forms include a regular bow (his Default Form), [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin a longbow (Longbow Form), a javelin (Javelin Form), and a crossbow (Crossbow Form)]].
** Nayumi’s Forms include a morning star, a broadax, and a meteor hammer. This does not include her default weapon form, the Demon Sledgehammer.
*[[WhenSheSmiles When They Smile]]: Nayumi and Marcellus exchange genuine and pure smiles of happiness when they realize they're stuck with each other through thick and thin.

!!Marcellus Ardsen
A 17-year-old Demon Bow who acts as Tsuji's partner. He comes from Chicago, Illinois.

* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Able to make accurate deductions by just taking a step back and watching carefully. His role as a Demon Weapon helps this role immensely.
* BrilliantButLazy: Marcellus lives and breathes this trope. He's WiseBeyondHisYears, combines both book smarts and StreetSmarts, and acts the OnlySaneMan. But, he'd rather sleep, be lazy, and do other things.
* [[spoiler: DespairEventHorizon]]: According to ''Soul Eater: Saeculum'', [[spoiler: Marcellus was very close to passing this. He hated being apart of the Chicago Gang but was utterly hopeless and too afraid to do anything about it.]]
* EnergyBow: Sort of. The bow itself is mechanical and solid. However, the arrows Marcellus produces are compressed wavelengths of Tsuji's soul.
* {{Fanboy}}: Of Mega Man, the ''only'' video game series he really pays attention to.
* FatalFlaw: Impassiveness. Marcellus doesn't quite like responsibility [[spoiler: because his parents and the Chicago Gang put ''so much'' pressure on him. Running away and meeting the Ricardsens finally ensured he's away from that.]] Unfortunately, this has made Marcellus a little TOO lax and oftentimes inconsiderate, especially when he feels he put too much energy into something only to get nothing out of it.
* [[spoiler: {{Gangsterland}}]]: Originally comes from Chicago [[spoiler: because he is in fact the next-in-line don for one of the most powerful gangs.]]
* {{Otaku}}: One of Marcellus's few hobbies include anime and manga.
* {{Kuudere}}: Type 1. Marcellus is an emotionally repressed individual but does have his moments of kindness.
* PositiveDiscrimination: One of the most intelligent, sane, and down-to-earth characters happens to be black. Though, this is downplayed because Marcellus has his own flaws and negative traits like every other character.
* TheStrategist: Marcellus is the one who gives Tsuji his sniper cues because he is not smart enough to weaponize math like real-world snipers are supposed to.
* SweetTooth: ''Never'' seen without a lollipop in his mouth. Heck, he's got a bag of them in his jacket.
** GeniusSweetTooth
* TheyreCalledPersonalIssuesForAReason: Just like Caius pre-Character Development, Marcellus tends to not speak up about his true, internal feelings. Most of the time he really believes his issues will go away by simply ignoring them.
* TokenMinority: Of the main OCs introduced, Marcellus is the only African-American. Subverted when you consider Kilik's AscendedExtra role for the story as a whole.

!!Nayumi
Ardsen

* [[spoiler: ParentalNeglect]]: [[spoiler: Her parents were more concerned about their heists and making sure Nayumi could help them out rather than her actual wellbeing.]]

* [[spoiler: TheRunaway]]: [[spoiler: By the time she meets Marcellus, Nayumi has already crossed the Canada-America border, escaping her criminal parents and possibly police.]]

* SwissArmyWeapon: Like Marcellus, Nayumi's got Mode Change. Her Forms include her default, standard sledgehammer, a morning star, a broadax, and a meteor hammer. Though, unlike Marcellus and Tsuji, Nayumi and Rowena need to conduct a Soul Resonance.
** ThemeNaming: All of her Mode Change Forms are named after crushing or blunt weapons.

** Superego: Autumn. She’s TheSpock for acting rationally and preferring to do things that sound worthwhile.
** Id: Damon. He’s TheMcCoy for being someone who tends to act on emotion and good will.
* HiddenAgendaVillain: They’re not villains ([[WildMassGuessing we think]]), but it’s clear they’re up to something that doesn’t involve the goals of the Academy in mind.
* HollywoodGenetics: They’re triplets, but they have different hair and eye colors. The eye color part no longer applies when Chapter 23 reveals that they wear color contacts and all of them have red eyes.
* MadeOfIron: They got ran over by a van going at high speeds. Other than some minor dizziness, a headache, and a small flesh wound in Vincent’s case, they got right back up to help complete the mission.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween
** Nice: Damon, optimistic and respectful
** Mean: Autumn, realistic and calmly aggressive
** In-Between: Vincent, who is more than willing to take action but is a nice guy overall
* PowerTrio
* SiblingTeam: Vincent is the Meister while Autumn and Damon are the Demon Weapons. That said, they’ve yet to do the meister-weapon combination and seem to function better as individuals working together.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: They apparently wear color contacts to hide these for some reason.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: In Chapter 12, the Vanderbilts team up with [[SoulEaterNot Tsugumi, Anya, and Meme]]. This trope doesn’t apply to the Damon, Tsugumi, and Meme. It does to Vincent, Autumn, and Anya (the first two especially) who aren’t keen to the idea of doing a dog-catching mission.
* TwoGuysAndAGirl

!!Vincent Vanderbilt
17-year-old NOT student. He’s the Meister.

* BloodKnight: He expresses the desire to experience the DWMA’s chaotic and over-the-top adventures. So, he can be considered one because this means he loves the thrill of danger and combat. Heck, he bursts out into a SlasherSmile when he finds out their targets in Chapter 12 ran him over and have to turn back.
* ChekhovsGunman: He actually appeared in Chapter 9 as the waiter serving Maka, Soul, Caius, and Claudia in Deathbucks Café.
* CovertPervert:

* NotInTheFace: A damn RunningGag. Vincent gives hit in the face a lot
-->'''Vincent''': OW, MY FACE!
* PurpleEyes: Wisteria, but he has on color contacts so this trope is averted.

!!Autumn Vanderbilt
17-year-old NOT student. She’s a currently unknown Demon Weapon and the sister of Damon and Vincent.

* AloofAlly: Autumn’s general temperament and demeanor gives her vibes of this.
* CatchPhrase: Quite fond of saying “Pointless.”
* TheComicallySerious: She swatted a fly buzzing around with a straight face. This happened after the topic of flies being on the walls hearing their conversation was brought up. Such was her justification.
* {{Foil}}: To Damon. They’re brother and sister but represent the ends of the SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism.
* GirlishPigtails: Nowhere near girly in personality though.
* GreenEyes: Averted. Her natural eyes are red. She has on color contacts.
* HairDecorations: Black bows to keep her pigtails in place.
* HardHead: Her head got slammed into a rearview mirror, breaking the entire thing off as well as completely shattering the glass. She’s back in the game after a few seconds of rest.
* ModestyShorts: Stated that she wears these [[GenreSavvy to prevent wardrobe malfunctions with her skirt]].
* PeekABangs
* ThePessimist: YES.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Not evil (maybe), but Autumn has the least pleasant disposition, is more prone to speaking her mind, is more serious, and more apt to declarations of murderous intent.

16-year-old Lance Meister and one of the many students in the Academy.

* BerserkButton: [[spoiler: The sight and mention of Cancer is one in and of itself.]]
* BlueIsHeroic: Typically wears blue, his hair is a shade of blue, and his Soul Blaze is either blue or purplish-blue. Very much a protagonist.
* CharacterDevelopment: An early example. He goes from an antisocial loner to a more open person.
* CombatPragmatist: Not afraid to attack someone from behind or hit below the belt (despite understanding no one wants to be hit there). He actually adopted combat pragmatism during his time as a Half Moon Class student.
* CombinationAttack: His Joint Resonances with Maka, Mala Venator[[note]]Evil Hunter[[/note]] and Dorum Dei.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: See LastOfHisKind
* GentlemanSnarker / DeadpanSnarker: Can either go the refined route or the classic, sarcastic route.
* GloriousMotherRussia: Born in Russia in the fictional city of Rozniak.
* GoodIsNotSoft: NiceGuy Caius is, he's pretty fierce, and almost condescending, in combat. His battles with the MonsterOfTheWeek in Chapter 1 (Scorpio) and in Chapter 6 (the Ogres) best illustrate this trope.
* HandicappedBadass: Has astigmatism. [[BlindWithoutEm He really does need those glasses]].
* HeartbrokenBadass: His past has left him with a ton of emotional baggage. Still a competent fighter.
* LastOfHisKind: [[spoiler: The Vladingham Family was killed off two years prior to the beginning of the story by Cancer Lucrenian. He's the sole survivor (although barely if that little flashback at the end of the prologue is anything to go by). His moniker is even "The Last Vladingham"]].
** In Chapter 22, Caius reveals that [[spoiler: not all deaths were confirmed; there were a few missing and/or unidentified bodies.]] Whether this has significance is yet to be known.
* LonerTurnedFriend: Part of his CharacterDevelopment.
* NewTransferStudent: Subverted. Caius has been attending the Academy for two years. Almost all people thinks he's this because they didn't notice he existed before the beginning events of the story. That's just what he wanted. However, he ''did'' transfer from Class Half Moon to Class Crescent Moon five weeks prior to the prologue.
* NiceGuy: A gentlemanly and empathetic person.
* PlayingWithFire: Soul Blaze.
* {{Revenge}}: Caius has sworn to get [[spoiler: Cancer]] back for the Vladingham Family Massacre. Sadly, this trope is the whole reason why he even decided to become a Meister in the first place.
* SharpDressedMan: Caius seems to prefer going around doing ''everything'' with a suit or something similar on.

* BookDumb: According to Claudia, no matter how hard she studies, she eventually gets text anxiety and she consequently does bad on tests. Overall, she's not very strong academically. Time will tell if that test-tasking skills class will help or not.
**DumbBlonde
* ClingyJealousGirl: Did ''not'' react well to seeing Blair advancing on Soul in Chapter 13.
* DeadpanSnarker:
-->'''Blackstar''': Oh yeah? Not if Tsubaki and I have anything to say about it.\\
'''Claudia''': Please don't because your breath stinks.
* EpicFail: Claudia apparently doesn't know her social security number. She also got a test grade worst than ''Blackstar''.
* TheFashionista: Loves shopping and changes her clothes quite frequently.
* HiddenDepths: Claudia may be haughty, but she is actually a nice person. After all, she was the one who (kinda) got through Caius at his most emotionally broken. In addition, [[spoiler: she had to stomach throwing away her initial hopes and dreams all because of a freak accident.]] Couldn't figure that one out at a first glance.
* HopelessSuitor: Raise your hand if you truly believe Claudia has a chance with Soul. We didn't think so either.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: To Caius.
* OlderThanSheLooks: Quite a few people didn't initially believe Claudia is 14. In Caius's case, he didn't think she was 12. Her shortness and style of clothing don't help.
*TheOjou: The Moncharmins aren't royalty or anything, but they're a well-known, high-class family, especially in their home country of France. So Claudia has shades of this trope.
* ProperLady: When she's not being a brat or a SmittenTeenageGirl, Claudia acts composed and dignified like you would expect a girl of her class to be.
* SophisticatedAsHell: She's supposed to be high-class, but Claudia has used the words 'prick, 'bull crap,' and 'whore'.
*SmittenTeenageGirl: Only 14 and has a big-time crush on Soul.
* SmugSnake: Loved to hype up herself and Caius as future elites. Also, she believed that she and Caius could handle the Gemini without Maka's and Soul's help. [[CharacterizationMarchesOn She's no longer this as it seems.]]
* SpoiledBrat: Must be. She didn't know to clean a kitchen, cook proper cookies, and didn't even know her social security number.
* TokenMiniMoe: Her and Nayumi. Their physical descriptions fit the bill.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Maka.

!Tsuji Ricardsen
The 15-year-old son of Noel Ricardsen who is a new student to the Academy. He is a Bow Meister.

* ArcherArchetype: Tsuji is a Bow Meister, meaning he specializes in archery. Well, this may be long-range weaponry in general seeing as he can use a javelin quite well too. [[FriendlySniper And he can play the role of sniper.]]
** ImprobableAimingSkills
** {{Multishot}}
* BadAss: He apparently defeated [[ActionGirl Rowena]] in a full-on sparring match prior to beginning of the story.
* BerserkButton: Don't insult his aim.
* BewareTheSillyOnes
* BoomHeadshot: ''Loves'' this trope.
* CombinationAttack: St. Elmo's Fire[[note]]via Joint Resonance[[/note]] with Kim. He's implied to have one with Rowena too.
* {{Fanboy}}: Of Spongebob Squarepants and Sonic the Hedgehog.
* LongRangeFighter
* MultiMeleeMaster: Tsuji is skilled with every one of Marcellus's Mode Change Forms.
* TheNicknamer: Not to the extent of Ragnarok, but Tsuji (along with his sister) don't consistently refer to select individuals by their name or title. For example, Doc[[note]]Stein[[/note]], Old Man[[note]]Noel[[/note]], and Big LD[[note]]Lord Death[[/note]].
* PopCulturedBadass: He and his sister love video games and music. They're usually up-to-date in various fictional series and fandoms.
* RainOfArrows: Ultima Arrow.
* RunningGag: The Ricardsen Twin's habit of speaking in unison.
-->'''Tsuji and Rowena''': We ''just'' got in. Like, literally today. Doc and Dad just expect us to be able to score well a test on stuff covered weeks in advance! Yeah, we got a packet and junk, but that didn't really prepare us for ''half'' the shit on the test!\\
'''Liz''': [[LampshadeHanging Am I the only who finds it odd they’re speaking in unison?]]
* ShipTease: With Jacqueline.
* UnfortunateName: He is an American with a decidedly un-American forename.
** NonIndicativeName: According to his character biography, the name 'Tsuji' refers to Masunobu Tsuji, a tactician of the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second World War. Tsuji is not the strategic, or even the smart, type; that role belongs to his partner, Marcellus.
* WouldHitAGirl

!Marcellus Ardsen
A 17-year-old Demon Bow who acts as Tsuji's partner. He comes from Chicago, Illinois.

* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Able to make accurate deductions by just taking a step back and watching carefully. His role as a Demon Weapon helps this role immensely.
* [[spoiler: Despair Event Horizon]]: According to Soul Eater: Saeculum, [[spoiler: Marcellus was very close to passing this. He hated being apart of the Chicago Gang but was utterly hopeless and too afraid to do anything about it.]]
* BrilliantButLazy: Marcellus lives and breathes this trope. He's WiseBeyondHisYears, combines both book smarts and StreetSmarts, and acts the OnlySaneMan. But, he'd rather sleep, be lazy, and do other things.
* [[spoiler: TheRunaway]]: [[spoiler: Convinced by Nayumi, Marcellus abandons the Chicago Gang and his parents, Portis and Morgan. He is now living in Death City with the Ricardsens. Of course, this does not come without its own set of problems.]]
* SwissArmyWeapon: Sure, he's a Demon Bow, but what makes him special is his ability of Mode Change. Marcellus has the ability to convert the appearance of his weapon form into a related state, known as a "Form." These include a regular bow (his default form), a longbow, a javelin, and a crossbow.

!Rowena Ricardsen
The 15-year-old daughter of Noel Ricardsen who is a new student to the Academy. She is a Sledgehammer Meister.

* ActionGirl: UpToEleven
* BadAss
* BerserkButton: Don't hurt her friends or family.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Sometimes a class clown, but still fun to be around, but if you're an enemy and/or you hurt her friends or family… well, there is reason why Ragnarok prefers to call her "The Incredible Hulk" rather than her actual name.
* BoisterousBruiser
* BookDumb / DumbMuscle: Outstanding physical abilities (speed and reflexes could be better though), but Rowena has no appreciation for studying for long amounts of time.
*CloseRangeCombatant: Her options are limited even with Nayumi's Mode Change and weapon form size. She fares better than her dad though.
* FastballSpecial: In the battle against [[spoiler: Gladiolus]], Rowena launches Tsuji and Blackstar higher up the monster with a swing of her sledgehammer.
* GamerGirl: By the way, she's a fangirl of the Mario series.
* TheNicknamer: Not to the extent of Ragnarok, but Rowena (along with her brother) don't consistently refer to select individuals by their name or title. For example, Doc[[note]]Stein[[/note]], Old Man[[note]]Noel[[/note]], and Big LD[[note]]Lord Death[[/note]].
* PopCulturedBadass: She and her brother love video games and music. They're usually up-to-date in various fictional series and fandoms.
* PrimAndProperBun: Subverted. You would think Rowena would have a TomboyishPonytail but she doesn't. Her hair's in a bun.
** TomboyishSidetails: Her chin-length hair gives this effect.
* {{Pride}}: Has quite a bit of pride in her family, the Academy itself, and her SuperStrength. Attacking her pride is one way to rile her up.
* SuperStrength: Good God, this girl is strong. Her physical strength is what makes her stand out as a fighter.
** LamarckWasRight: Her dad's got it too.
** MightyGlacier: Rowena isn't slow per se, but many other character (even Demon Weapons that don't fight) are usually more mobile and faster than her. That said, Noel and super-strong monsters are the only ones capable of matching or exceeding her physical strength.
** BareFistedMonk: When fighting weaponless.
* UnkemptBeauty: What her messy hairdo implies.
* WhoWearsShortShorts

!Nayumi Ardsen
A cheerful 14-year-old partnered with Rowena. She is a Demon Sledgehammer who immigrated from Canada.

*{{Adorkable}}: Loves arts and crafts and origami… as well as "Franchise/Pokémon" and "WesterAnimation/InvaderZim".
* BadassAdorable
* CanadaEh: Her country of birth. She's even from Quebec. The revelation in Chapter 22 leads to this amusing exchange.
-->'''Patty''': If you're a Canadian, why don't you say 'eh' at the end of your sentences?\\
'''Nayumi''': (''jokingly'') That's a stereotype, eh.
* DropTheHammer: A sledgehammer.
** AwesomeButImpractical: …that weights about 300 pounds and is around Rowena's height even though it looks as light as Soul's weapon form. Even if you can match wavelengths with her, good luck ''picking it up''.
** DifficultButAwesome: When Rowena uses Nayumi's weapon form, it's this. A large, unconventional weapon that helps her hit harder and gives her a bit of range.
* EverythingsBetterWithMonkey: Her favorite animal.
* GirlishPigtails: Ahem, hair ''loops''.
* HairDecorations
* HiddenDepths: Nayumi is a bubbly and excitable little girl, which is how she, Patty, and the Pot Twins become fast friends. [[spoiler: She was forced to be a jewel thief with JadeColoredGlasses.]]
* MeaningfulName: Her surname. [[spoiler: Because Marcellus is African-American and Nayumi is Canadian, that's an easy way to let you know they're not related by blood. And they aren't. Marcellus courteously offered his last name to Nayumi because she ''hates her parents'' and doesn't want to be associated with them.]]
* PetitePride: According to her character biography, Nayumi is not at all insecure about her underdeveloped physique, stating it means "less work for her."
* [[spoiler: TheRunaway]]: [[spoiler: By the time she meets Marcellus, Nayumi has already crossed the Canada-America border, escaping her criminal parents and possibly police.]]
* TookALevelInCheerfulness: And thank God…
* TokenMiniMoe
*[[spoiler: TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior]]: [[spoiler: In ''Soul Eater: Saeculum,'' Nayumi is a StrawNihilist CreepyChild… at the age of '''twelve'''. Marcellus lampshades this to himself before realizing he's NotSoDifferent.]]
* [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair You Gotta Have Purple Hair]]
