Trope was cut/disambiguated due to cleanup

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Xellos' beatdown and torture of him, since he's a villain. Conversely, Valgaav can be seen as delivering this once he turns the tables on Xellos, as Xellos himself has taken a lot of lives and even offered to brutally kill Lina himself if Valgaav were to join him.

* InformedDeformity: Lina has a bad reputation, mostly because of her prickly attitude and tendency to destroy everything around her. However, people regularly bring up her flat chest. There is a problem with this. Lina's breasts are hardly flat. In fact, she's typically drawn with what ranges between a B and C cup, and given her petite frame, they're actually very well proportioned. It makes sense that ''Lina herself'' might feel inadequate after traveling with Naga the Serpent's scantily clad DD-cups, but it doesn't make much sense for random strangers to think that way.

[[DependingOnTheArtist Averted in the OVA,]] where they really are pretty tiny.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: On one hand, his torture of Valgaav in ''TRY'' reminds the audience that he's a villain. On the other, Valgaav is out to destroy the world and is an angry, very destructive monster in his own right [[spoiler: and his WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds side wouldn't be revealed until much later]].

* ThePlan: It's impossible to tell what suptrope he's using. What he says is at odds with what he does, and what he seems to do is at odds with the final result, [[XanatosGambit but he never seems upset upon "losing"]]. Is it all part of ThePlan, or is he just making up as he goes along? [[spoiler:It's a secret.]]

* StoryBreakerPower: While Lina could possibly defeat him if she tried hard enough, he's definitely much stronger than she is normally, and most other characters for that matter. [[{{Jerkass}} He just never does anything]].

Bishonen is Definition-Only

* {{Bishonen}}: This show may actually beat out [[Anime/YuGiOh Yu-Gi-Oh!]] for the sheer amount of girly-looking men in it. If it weren't for his broad musculature Gourry would take the cake; with his thin face, prominent eyelashes, and flowing blonde hair longer than either of the two main girls.

* {{Bishonen}}: Despite being a chimera, Zelgadis is quite handsome.
