A pair of brothers from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Originally both were in contention to drive the [=N700S=], but Shimakaze, the elder brother, opted to drop out and leave the new unit to his younger brother Nagara on grounds that the latter's compatibility rating was higher (if only slightly). However, Ryuji added the Dual Grampus System to the [=N700S=], which allows both brothers to control it at once. Still, Nagara has been known to operate the [=N700S=] by himself at times.
