** Played straight when Mars rejects her, fueling the rage that ultimately destroys Team Galactic.
* BlowYouAway: Her elemental motif, appearing and disappearing in gusts of wind.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Prior to her corruption, Envy was dirt poor and lived on the streets of Oreburgh, where she was often looked upon with disdain. This ultimately left her vulnerable to corruption.

* FamousLastWords: "Take heed, Ryan Sanders, for you may very well end up on that path again in the future. But know that the spotlight will not be so easily obtained again. Nothing can stop the future from consuming us all..."
* GreenThumb: His elemental motif.

* MeaningfulName:
** "Albero" is Italian for "Tree."
** Subverted with "[=DeLargo=]," which was originally supposed to be "[=DeLarge=]," serving as a reference to Alex [=DeLarge=] of [[Literature/AClockworkOrange A Clockwork Orange]]--creating a triple reference due to the two characters' shared initials, as well as the fact that orange is both a fruit (Albero's elemental motif) and the color of Albero's Aura. However, it was changed to "[=DeLargo=]" by Alku before the character officially appeared, which--being the term for a slow tempo--fits with the idea of Albero taking longer than his fellows to become fully corrupted.
* NiceGuy: Tried to be this before his corruption fully took over.
* Invoked/TheOtherDarrin: Very much zig-zagged. Parugi wrote for Gluttony during his very first appearance and for the post in which Albero [=DeLargo=]'s last semblances of humanity were devoured, as well as some small posts beforehand leading up to that event. He was supposed to take over permanently after that point, until Alku decided to keep control of the character at the last minute.

* DoNotTauntCthulhu: Aria responds to his questions regarding their methods by shattering his glass of wine. It is heavily implied as he leaves that he could have easily killed her for the transgression then and there in he had felt like it.
* FairyTaleMotifs: Draws some parallels to Disney/{{Pinocchio}}.
* FamousLastWords: "Love, friendship, humility... Who could have foreseen these, of all things, from such proud individuals? Then again, I ''did'' pick you all for a reason... so who's the ''real'' winner here, I wonder? I have nothing more to say to you. Good-bye, dear puppets. May you enjoy the freedom of severed strings for many days to come."
* FantasticRacism: His HannibalLecture regarding Aria's pride--as well as those of her allies--almost makes it seem as if he will challenge her... until he notes that she is nothing but a Pokémon meant to serve others and promptly exits.

Gluttony started out with a full focus on combating his target in a physical manner, and only began to shift to a more mental arena when he finally lost the struggle against his corruption and fully became his Sin. Pride fell almost immediately to his corruption and has so far not thrown a single punch at his three targets, instead choosing to pick them apart verbally. Gluttony revealed his entire team almost as soon as he first appeared, whereas Pride has only shown one of his. Where Gluttony, in either of his states, appears to have full control over his emotions, Pride is prone to sudden shifts in mood. And then, of course, there's the fact that Gluttony appeared in a location naturally full of his element, while Pride warped his location of choice into a frozen wasteland in the middle of summer.
* HannibalLecture: Delivers one to Dack, Hannah, and Aspen. ''[[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech Especially]]'' [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech Hannah]].
* HumanoidAbomination: As demonstrated when Aria attempted to read his aura. Suffice to say that what she saw made no sense whatsoever.
* IncrediblyLamePun: Pride controls ice. In other words, he gives people the cold shoulder.

** "Stolz," likewise, is the German word for "Pride."
* MoodSwinger: His confrontation with Dack, Hannah, and Aspen shows that he does not have the best handle on his emotions.
* NonActionBigBad: So far the only Sin to be defeated without a real, physical battle. Considering his Rapidash [[NoSell no selled]] everything thrown at it and barely retaliated until he was overcome, the brief skirmish against it hardly counts.
* OneWingedAngel: Slowly began to transform into a monstrous puppet when it seemed as if his targets were going to fail to overcome him.

Named Déoza members introduced so far have included Dragan Argall and Naum Rhodes, during the Havoc Arc; and Commander Rida Damon. Their leader is known to be David Castle, though he has yet to make an appearance.

* CyanidePill: Déoza agents tend to utilize some variation of this. For the Train Arc, it was personal self-destruct devices.

They were eventually freed and sought to enshroud the world in darkness again, but were finally and definitively defeated through the combined efforts of Team Rocket, Team Liberty, and the three Heroes of the Origin Trio.
