* SuperSpeed: When Ozpin does finally decide to move or fight, he is capable of extremely fast movements that make him extremely difficult to keep track of. This allows him to move fast, strike multiple times a second, and [[https://45.media.tumblr.com/0d1f7364a122411baf013fc24ffb288b/tumblr_o2hy2fy6Ux1tjtzvlo6_400.gif dodge multiple attacks]] with incredible reflexes.

* SpiritualSuccessor: To the original Kosh from Babylon Five. He spends the vast majority of his on-screen existence dropping extremely obscure hints that the main characters have to figure out on their own, if he does anything at all. he plays his cards so close to his chest that even he has trouble seeing them most of the time. When he does finally take direct action, it seemingly gets him killed, only for his "soul" to wind up hiding in some other host, and the new host is not happy about it.

* BerserkButton: Coco was initially friendly with Emerald as their doubles' match started, stating she liked her for her BadassBoast. During the fight, Emerald's attack on Coco caused her to break her CoolShades, at which point she took back her previous statement and decided she ''didn't'' like Emerald.

* YouGotGuts: Before the doubles' round against Mercury and Emerald, Coco and Emerald trade banter. After Emerald claims she won't be bleeding during the match, Coco admits she likes Emerald's attitude.

* AsLethalAsItNeedsToBe: In Volume 2's finale, Coco's bullets literally shredded armored opponents and massive enemies such as Nevermores, and reduced the surroundings to chaos. This in large part is why CFVY qualifies for DestructiveSavior. However, during her match with Mercury and Emerald, her bullets did little more than mow down grass. When shot into the field full of not-very-big trees, her gatling gun failed to destroy any of them, and otherwise would have been a decent way to remove Emerald from her cover - apparently she was using different, weaker rounds for the tournament.

* TheFashionista: Fashion seems to be a quirk of hers, given she dresses stylishly, beats the crap out of Grimm that destroyed her favourite clothing store, and compliments Emerald's gunslinger getup before they fight. The fans cheering in the stands for her are also all wearing the same NiceHat, implying that's her style's what she's known for.

* TheLeader: Coco commands the actions of her team mates. She decides what they do and don't do in battle and their actions and decisions are arranged around what she herself does. During the Volume 2 finale, she forbids Velvet from using her weapon, knowing that the rest of the team can handle the Grimm that have invaded the city. During the Volume 3 finale, Velvet does not touch her weapon even though everyone is struggling against the Atlesian Robots until Coco gives her the order to act. Velvet indicates to Ruby that the team has enormous respect for Coco when she mentions that if even Coco can experience stress-induced hallucinations in battle, then no-one is immune.

* UtilityBelt: Both her belt and the strap on her carrying case are adorned with bullets. Pretty powerful ones too, able to tear through armored foes like the Death Stalker and Nevermore, which teams JNPR + RWBY couldn't pierce with traditional rounds, respectively..

* {{Adorkable}}: She's really enthusiastic about her photography and at one point apologises, embarrassed, to Ruby after snapping a photo of her when she wasn't expecting it. And when Coco ''finally'' gives her permission to use her PowerCopying, she immediately gets excited.

* CameraFiend: Velvet will take photos at any opportunity, even when on the battlefield. Her photographs don't look very good to the people around her; when she shows Ruby a photograph she has taken of Sun, the photograph only captures Sun's abs and weapon, completely cutting off his head. Ruby politely mentions it's much better than previous photos. The camera is her weapon; by photographing weapons, she gains the ability to create one-off HardLight copies. In combination with her Semblance, which allows her to perfectly mimic anyone's fighting styles, she can fight in any style, and with any weapon, she chooses. However, once she runs out of photographs, she has take new ones to "reload". As a result, she [[TooAwesomeToUse doesn't use her weapon unless she absolutely has to.]]
* DittoFighter: Her weapon can produce copies of other people's weapons, apparently by taking photographs of them, and then use those weapons with similar skill to the original users thanks to her Semblance.
* HardLight: Her replicated weapons have the appearance of blue wire frames, projected from her camera box. According to the design notes in the credits, the weapons and all associated extras are ''literally'' hard light.

* TooAwesomeToUse: She carries her weapon in a box that is attached to her waist. When she goes to use it against the Grimm that are overrunning the city, Coco tells her not to bother because it would be a waste to use it at that moment. In ''Destiny'' it's revealed she keeps her camera in there and she's practising her apparently lousy photography skills. "Heroes and Monsters" reveals that her camera ''is'' her weapon. She takes pictures of people to use for her power-mimic style. The reason it falls under this is because she can only use each weapon/style for a few seconds, and she won't be able to use it again until she takes another picture.

* BadassTeacher: In the finale of Volume 3, Cinder is impossibly powerful even by the standards of a well-developed Semblance, yet Ozpin is able to fight that enormous power with just his Semblance even when directly hit by the full force of her power. They also fight in pitch darkness that is only occasionally broken by brief moments of light from their powers. Only Faunus are suppposed to be capable of seeing in the dark, but it doesn't even slow these two down. By the time the scene cuts out, Ozpin is easily pushing back Cinder's power and appears to be winning, making his subsequent disappearance very mysterious.

* SomethingOnlyTheyWouldSay: Ozpin and Qrow have a very close relationship. Qrow is loyal to Ozpin to the point of picking fights in public with Winter just because she's the subordinate of the man who went behind Ozpin's back to take away Ozpin's responsibility for Vytal Festival security. Ruby comments that Ozpin and Qrow even sound alike. [[spoiler:Ozpin's disappearance after the fall of Beacon results in Qrow carrying Ozpin's cane with him as he follows Ruby through Anima. When Ozpin's soul and Aura merge with Oscar, he prompts Oscar to travel to Mistral in search of Qrow whom he knows has gone there with his cane. When Oscar finds Qrow, Ozpin prompts Oscar to say "I'd like my cane back, please". Qrow instantly recognises the situation for what it is and gives Oscar the cane without hesitation, saying "It's good to see you again, Oz".]]
