* MyGreatestFailure: Failed to stop Ash Ketchum from being brainwashed by Elton, and thus failed the contract he was on. Apparently the first time he has ever lost in his life. On the plus side, he did manage to save Misty, Darren, and a bunch of other prisoners.
** Has another in the form of his childhood friend Emre, who almost died to a pack of Mightyena and then died several years later when the two were mugged.
* TookALevelInBadass: As shown by a flashback, nine-year-old Sang was not the strongest kid on the block.

!!Kane
A man who appeared underneath Opelucid some time after the Ancients' defeat and was subsequently freed by Feral.

* FrameUp: His most recent act, attempting to make it seem as if several members of Team Liberty are attacking Opelucid's residents. It did not go as expected.
* MindControl: Effectively brainwashed the entire populace of Opelucid, turning them into his slaves.
* ObviouslyEvil: Subverted. At a glance, he appears fairly normal. His choice of companions, however? Not so much.

!!Carl Sandrock
The head of Soil Colossus, Inc. Formerly a Team Rocket scientist, Sandrock worked on a mind control machine for much of his time in the organization, until it was forcibly shut down by Shadow Admin Sleight, losing his original Pokémon team in the process. In retaliation, he devised a plan to get back at them.

A group of eight trainers who took over the Celadon Department Store. At the moment, not much is known about them, but they seem to have some sort of interest in Rayquaza.

* BlowYouAway: The main theme of their team is the Flying-Type, as evidenced by their name and their interest in Rayquaza. Certain members did not get the memo.
* BoxedCrook: Ethan convinced the police to give them this opportunity. Only Skye and Skylark took up the offer.

* {{Expy}}: 3/8 of the team have been based around this.
** Skyler heavily invokes [[{{Franchise/ScoobyDoo}} Shaggy Rogers]], and his Pokémon team consists of [[JustForPun punny]] references to the rest of the Mystery Inc. gang.
** Skylark is obsessed with music, has a brother named Chip, and is part of a band with said brother called the [[{{WesternAnimation/TheFairlyoddparents}} Chipped Skylarks]].
** Skye is not a reference to anyone in particular; however, in her introduction she is revealed to be a comic book nerd who idolizes such heroes as [[{{Franchise/Batman}} Crobatman]], [[{{Franchise/GreenLantern}} Green Lanturn]], [[{{Franchise/SpiderMan}} Spinarak-Man]], [[{{ComicBook/FantasticFour}} The Human Torchic]], and [[{{ComicBook/Hawkeye}} Hawlucha-Eye]]. Coincidentally, she also shares a name with [[Series/AgentsOfSHIELD another superhero-related group member named Skye.]]
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Windy attempted to use a mysterious green orb to summon and control Rayquaza, and when it did not work she began to mishandle it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a Transfer Orb, which ended up merging her with her Pidgeot.
* MeaningfulName: All of Team Zephyr's members' names evoke the sky or the wind in some form or another. Yet, even so...
* OddNameOut: Team Zephyr consists of Skylon, Skyle, Skylark, Skyler, Skya, Skylah, Skye, and their leader... Windy.

!!Esen Windred
A lone Trainer who appeared in Cianwood City in order to help against the brainwashed Rocket Elites, Esen soon revealed herself to be none other than the daughter of the late Shadow Admin Ace.

* MamaBear: The overall impression she gives off to Sang in a very brief encounter.

!!Levi Alaric
Sleight's son, who disappeared under unknown circumstances shortly after the six month time skip. Later revealed to have been abducted and recruited by the Hojohsin League as the Eighth Child.

* AscendedExtra: First appeared as an off-hand mention in the time skip post (as well as having been briefly mentioned by [=McKlellen=] during Team Rocket's assault on Soil Colossus), and was later kidnapped under mysterious circumstances.
* ChildSoldier: Virtually all of Ford's apprentices are this to some extent, given their early recruitment, but Calvin in particular is implied to be somewhere around the age of nine or ten.
* CodeName: Calvin Truman, the Eighth Child.
* CoveredWithScars: According to his mother, courtesy of an accident that occurred shortly before the beginning of the story.
* MindRape: Implied to be enduring this in his introductory post.
* MommasBoy: Described as much closer to his mother than his father.

A legendary bird Pokémon.

!!Raikou/Shekou/Sheik
A female Raikou from Orre who later joined Team Liberty.

* AscendedExtra: Started out as a random Raikou in Orre; by now she has turned into virtually a full-fledged Team Liberty agent.

!!The Shiny Beasts
A shiny Entei, Raikou and Suicune who originate from a different dimension. After sensing the powerful disturbances in the dimensional fabric, they appeared in the main dimension to rectify the problem.

* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Dimension Jumping, allowing the user to fast travel at the expense of a large amount of energy.

!!The Creation Trio
A group of Legendary Dragons consisting of Palkia, Dialga and Giratina.

!!Deoxys (Xalpha/Ariadne, Odin, Vili, and Vé)
Ariadne is a Deoxys recruited by Team Rocket member Robert Hawkins. She assisted in defending Paradise from Team Liberty's attacks. It was later revealed that she was formerly the queen of the Deoxys race on their home planet; after seeing their actions on Earth, she relinquished her position in disgust.

Odin, Vili, and Vé are a trio of lower-power Deoxys revived by Ariadne and a group of Latios and Latias. Each is confined to a single, specialized form, coinciding with the colors of the gems in their chests, and all three serve as Ariadne's honor guard.

Archie was imprisoned along with Maxie following the conclusion of the Hoenn saga; unlike Maxie, he did not reform, and has been imprisoned in Lilycove City for some time now. He was recently released following the return of Team Aqua, though following intervention by Team Rocket, he was killed via telekinetic neck snap by Sabrina.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Applies to certain Sages more than others, but Gorm is the best example.
* WhatTheHellHero: Deliver one to Evan following Hayes' defeat, as he forfeited an opportunity to bring her in.
** They later deliver another one to the main player group after Palkia and Black-Kyurem destroy a large chunk of Unova.

!!Jupiter
One of Team Galactic's admins, and the last surviving member of the group following their encounter with Envy.

!!Elijah Alaric/Sleight
Team Rocket's highest ranked member, and the head of the Shadow Admins, Sleight acts as the main leader of the organization, personally overseeing the region of Kanto. Cold, precise, and cunning, Sleight has yet to find an opponent that he could not personally defeat in battle.

** His last name, "Alaric," can be translated to "ruler of all." Again, fitting for someone who pretty much ruled over four regions.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: When Kyle and Ray brought Jupiter to warn him about what had happened to Team Galactic, Sleight appeared so distracted by [[AdultFear Levi's disappearance]]--a sharp contrast to his typical self--that the effectiveness of the warning was justifiably brought into question.
* PlayingWithFire: Sleight's specialty.

* StoryBreakerPower: Presented this way toward the beginning of the story along with many of the other important [=NPCs=], like Joker and Ford. This was primarily justified given that the vast majority of characters were just starting out, and has slowly faded away as time goes on. The Ancient Darkrai were a group of Ten Darkrai who, in the beginning of the world, were entrusted with power over time and space in order to help keep those elements in balance. Their leader, Sombra, soon led them to rebel against Arceus, resulting in them being sealed away. They were eventually freed and sought to enshroud the world in darkness again, but were finally and definitively defeated through the combined efforts of Team Rocket, Team Liberty, and the three Heroes of the Origin Trio.

He was eventually defeated and sealed away, though reappeared due to the weakening powers of the Creation Trio, managing to cover the regions in darkness and escape from imprisonment before being defeated again.

And then, of course, there's the fact that Gluttony appeared in a location naturally full of his element, while Pride warped his location of choice into a frozen wasteland in the middle of summer.

The Ancient Darkrai were a group of Ten Darkrai who, in the beginning of the world, were entrusted with power over time and space in order to help keep those elements in balance. Their leader, Sombra, soon led them to rebel against Arceus, resulting in them being sealed away. They were eventually freed and sought to enshroud the world in darkness again, but were finally and definitively defeated through the combined efforts of Team Rocket, Team Liberty, and the three Heroes of the Origin Trio.

He was eventually defeated and sealed away, though reappeared due to the weakening powers of the Creation Trio, managing to cover the regions in darkness and escape from imprisonment before being defeated again.

Where Gluttony, in either of his states, appears to have full control over his emotions, Pride is prone to sudden shifts in mood. And then, of course, there's the fact that Gluttony appeared in a location naturally full of his element, while Pride warped his location of choice into a frozen wasteland in the middle of summer.

Odin, Vili, and Vé are a trio of lower-power Deoxys revived by Ariadne and a group of Latios and Latias. Each is confined to a single, specialized form, coinciding with the colors of the gems in their chests, and all three serve as Ariadne's honor guard.
