* Hypocrite: As Aelita points out, it's pretty low of Neved to invoke his duties as a father as a justification for his actions when he tortured someone's daughter for reasons he wouldn't even explain to her. Melia later accuses him of this in Teila Resort after he tries to argue that she has an obligation to surrender to them to spare innocent lives from Team Xen, when Neved himself is actively working with the people threatening said lives.

of his fights, which you can catch, purify dream self's personality. He's heavily based on the real Zetta and then add those around him's memories of him, a person who was shown to your team.
* RecurringBoss:
harbor doubts about Team Xen moments before his humanity was stripped away from him. While "boss" is he wasn't free to indulge in his more playful side as a stretch, SEC has shown up multiple times throughout Team Xen admin very much, he fully embraces it as a dream construct, suggesting he'd of been a much more easy going person were circumstances different.]]
* HeelFaceDoorSlam: His dialogue during
the game, fight against him on Valor Mountain implies that he's getting cold feet about being part of Team Xen. [[spoiler:Sadly, Crescent turns him back into a Solosis and probably will captures him before he can do so anything. His dream self encountered in the future as well.
various Nightmare realms is a lot more civil and sympathetic.]]
* SelfServingMemory: More "You-Deprecating" than "Self-Serving", but SEC tends LossOfIdentity: [[spoiler:He effectively dies when Crescent returns him to mock you his Solosis self, losing his sapience and identity in the process.]]
* LukeYouAreMyFather: [[spoiler: He was originally a Solosis before being injected
with BlatantLies whenever Melia's DNA, making him technically her brother - or son, depending on how you beat it.
look at it.]]
* StuffBlowingUp: Blows itself up whenever OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Normally he's something of a LargeHam, but when you beat it.
find him in Amethyst Cave, he's got nothing but pure hatred towards you for causing Melia's [[spoiler:apparent]] death. [[spoiler:Since he's a clone of Melia, it makes sense that he'd be pretty shook up by the death of his "sister".]]
* PosthumousCharacter: [[spoiler:The Puppet Master employs a sort of dream clone of him that's comprised of the memories of people who knew him, including the protagonist. His dream self seems to be self aware and capable of recalling things from the real Zetta, but makes a point of distinguishing himself from the real thing.]]
* RealityWarper: It's stated that he's the only member of Team Xen that can create Dimensional Rifts.
* SignatureMon: Zepto, his shiny Type: Null, later a Silvally. [[spoiler:After the events of Valor Mountain, Ren [[HeartwarmingMoments adopts Zepto]] into his own party.]]
* StarterVillain: Is the first Xen Executive you fight.
* UpliftedAnimal: [[spoiler:Turns out he's a Solosis that was injected with Melia's DNA, giving him the power to take a human form and control Dimensional Rifts. Crescent undoes this at the end of Chapter 8.]]

One of
the snark, CLARA serves as a custodian higher ranking members of sorts Team Xen. Known for Madelis's base.being exceptionally narcissistic and cruel.

* HeelFaceTurn: Helps you and Aelita destroy the generator/Rift Volcanion. CLARA's reasoning?
--> "I have come to the conclusion that I hate this place and everyone in it."
* NoodleIncident: Makes it extremely clear that ''NO PARTIES WILL BE TOLERATED'' while you are in Madelis's base, before saying "not again..."

to:

* BadLiar: When Isha asks her how she sustained a bad wound, she lies that she fell on a knife. He doesn't buy it.
* CharacterDevelopment: After being forced to work for Cassandra, Madelis realises that Team Xen's actions are both morally wrong and incredibly dangerous, and tries to talk Cassandra out of going through with her plans.
* TheChewToy: After she's [[spoiler:demoted and made Cassandra's slave, Cassandra continually puts her through hell for no reason besides ForTheEvulz.]]
* {{Egopolis}}: Downplayed, but the last part of the base in Carotos Mountain is referred to as "Madelis's Palace", and is filled with statues of her. So the downplaying might just be that it's not a whole city, just a base...
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:Helps Melia fight Amanda at Ignis Ironworks, during which you play as the former.]]
* ForTheEvulz: Tries to destroy Sheridan Village just because it's the home of the traitor Keta, and does so in a way guaranteed to cause as much harm to those involved as possible. [[spoiler:Later subverted - it's revealed that Team Xen's plans require people dying, for some yet-unrevealed reason]].
* GirlishPigtails : Which emphasize her childish behavior.
* HeelFaceTurn: Helps you [[spoiler:She pulled one in between Chapters 14 and Aelita destroy the generator/Rift Volcanion. CLARA's reasoning?
--> "I have come to the conclusion
15, after visiting Franchesca and realizing that I hate this place and everyone in it."
* NoodleIncident: Makes it extremely clear that ''NO PARTIES WILL BE TOLERATED''
while she and Neved both joined Team Xen to help a loved one, they wound up doing horrible things that are not what those loved ones would want.]]
* HiddenDepths: [[spoiler:Is a huge fan of Tesla, so much that this completely derails her operation in Terajuma. She also has a sister, Lisbeth, who is associated with painful memories- later chapters imply that Lisbeth was ill and died some time ago. Lisbeth's name is one of the two she combined to create her own assumed name.]]
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: [[spoiler:Is demoted by Madame X for the Amber fuckup and made Cassandra's bitch.]]
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler: Realizes she was one of these as part of her HeelFaceTurn - she did horrible things, and told herself it was for the sake of the people she loved - but realized, in the end, that this isn't what her loved ones would want and everything she did has done nothing to save them]].
* [[SignatureMove Signature Mon]]: Appears to be her Houndoom.
* TooDumbToLive: She's given one simple task during the Terajuma Arc: join Zetta and Geara and help them with their plan. Instead she goes with her own plan to abduct Amber so she can get to talk to Tesla (and she could have easily captured Melia, but chose not to). After being released from Kyogre she just vanishes, letting Zetta and Geara deal with the plan alone. Madame X is not pleased, especially since Madelis' fuckup directly leads to Team Xen losing Zetta and the Dimensional Rifts.
** Also she goes to her meeting with [[spoiler: Cassandra, (who call her on this)]] in her Xen outfit, out in the open. How she wasn't arrested is anyone's guess. Granted, considering her relationship with Cassandra, for all we know, she ''wanted'' this to happen...
* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler:She was last seen in the Den of Souls when the angry ghosts attacked, but they didn't throw her off the bridge, Nim didn't save her and no trace of her was found afterwards. She doesn't appear in .Karma Files, and what happened to her is anyone's guess.]]
* WorthyOpponent: She compliments your efforts if
you are in Madelis's base, before saying "not again..."

Added DiffLines:

* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: She notably shares this color scheme with her Yveltal, as well as [[spoiler: Vitus, who is later revealed to be the host of Yveltal, further showing their connection.]]

Added DiffLines:

* VillainRespect: While she's utterly lacking in compassion or empathy, she does consistently show respect for resolve, such as when she meets the player in Blacksteeple and later on when Neved insists that Madelis be spared.

Added DiffLines:

* AbusiveParents: Flora's father recruited her to become his successor, and based on the mental states of his two children, it's implied that the way he raised them was pretty damaging and toxic, even if he didn't overtly abuse them.

Added DiffLines:

* AffablyEvil: He's a maniacal scientist and helps run a terrorist organization, but he's also pretty friendly.

Added DiffLines:

* BunnyEarsLawyer: For all his... eccentricities, he's a very competent scientist and terrorist planner.
