* AudienceColoringAdaptation: ''Pico vs Convict'' featured a completely AxCrazy and [[PsychoKnifeNut psychotic]] Nene, traits which were happily adopted into other shorts featuring Nene and rolled into her personality along with her [[ReallyGetsAround promiscuity]] and DeathSeeker traits.

* ParentalNeglect: The earliest prototype of ''Pico's School 2'' has Pico remark that his dad loved his car more than him if the player clicked on his car. Surely enough, said dad is nowhere to be seen.

* TeamMom: In ''Love Conquers All'', where she genuinely cares about her fellow Goth Punks. Pico remarks that Alucard at least has taken her up as a ParentalSubstitute for his abusive father.

* SlasherSmile: [[spoiler: Gives a rather ''terrifying'' one as she's about to kill Convict during the climax of ''Pico vs Convict''... that is, until [[DownerEnding Pico mistakingly shoots her in the head]].]]
* SuicideAsComedy: Her near-constant search for that sweet release is ''always'' {{played for|Laughs}} BlackComedy, with one of her official renders even showing her flashing a peace sign at the viewer as she tries to hang herself. Notable exceptions include the original ''Pico's School'' (where she's genuinely traumatized by the school shooting) and [[spoiler:''Newgrounds Rumble'' (where she feels lost and confused after becoming the ruler of the Portal, especially since she just had Pico turn against her, leaving her no other option but to kill him)]].

* InterruptedSuicide: [[spoiler:At the beginning of ''Pico Sim Date 2'', he prepares to cut his wrist due to his defeat from Pico in the previous game, until a mysterious voice interupts him to give a special charm that would help him get the revenge.]]
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: He wears swastikas on his shoes. Though according to WordOfGod, he does it to be edgy and not out of anti-Semitic beliefs.

* SuperpoweredEvilSide: In ''Pico Sim Date 2'' he gets his hands on a charm, created by Dipuc the Hate Demon, which he uses to get the revenge on Pico and have Nene, alongside 4 other girls, to hate him. What Cyclops isn't aware of, is that said charm is an ArtifactOfDoom, that slowly consumes his soul. As a side-effect, he changes his appearance and becomes even stronger than he was in the first game. Once he is fully consumed by it, Dipuc will be set free and destroy all of the "[=NGverse=]", so Pico sets on another TimedMission to befriend aformentioned girls, who can give him some information on Cyclops and Nene's whereabouts.

* InformedAttribute: There are some members of the group that aren't goth or punk at all. The original ''Pico's School'' included what looks like a {{beatnik}} as a RedShirt, while mainstay Hanzo dresses like a {{ninja}} rather than either of the main subcultures. The goth kids that would have been their protoges in ''Pico 2'' carry on the tradition through their inclusion of Durst, a Nu-Metal fan who couldn't fit anywhere else.

* YouWillBeSpared: Played with. Despite her massive hatred of Pico, he's the only classmate that survives Cassandra's initial attack. Cyclops speculates that it's because of a crush, but it's left ambiguous as to whether this is true or she simply forgot him in the chaos.

* EyepatchOfPower: Inverted. While Alucard, Hanzo and Casandra have their own boss battles, Cyclops is a very minor obstacle, which barely serves any real threat to Pico. Even worse, ''Love Conquers All'' reveals that the reason why he sides with Cassandra in first place is that the other kids were making fun of him because he wears an eyepatch. Played straight in ''Pico Sim Date'', however, where he TookALevelInBadass.

* HumanDisguise: Casandra displays this ability, and it's assumed that other Penilians can do so as well.

** Because his classmates threw a birthday party for Pico and completely forgot about him, he decides to ''kill everyone in his class'' (sans Pico, who was abscent during his attack, and possibly Nene, who is implied to escape from the house before he was able to shoot her) and turns Pico's house into a hangout for other nerds and geeks like him.

* AdaptationalJerkass: In ''Darnell Has a Crush'' she refuses to date Darnell because he's black. Darnell responds by [[KickTheSonOfABitch filling her locker with explosives.]] And if the ending is anything to go by, it's implied that she ends up killing Darnell after giving him a smooch while smiling.

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her name is either spelled with one "s" or two. This is a common in-joke among fans who would spell her name either way, sometimes interchangeably, even after [[WordOfGod Tom Fulp]] [[https://pico.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page?file=TomFulp+Pico+Questions.jpg confirmed]] that the correct spelling is "Cassandra".[[invoked]]

What WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse is to Creator/{{Disney}} and Franchise/{{Mario}} is to Creator/{{Nintendo}}, VideoGame/{{Pico}} is to Website/{{Newgrounds}} (before WebAnimation/{{Tankmen}} came along, at least).

Main protagonist of the series and one of the [[SeriesMascot official mascots]] for {{Website/Newgrounds}}. A ProfessionalKiller armed with guns, always ready to take an action, if the situation calls for it.

* ImageSong: Gained one in ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'': "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cp8VZY3mq_o Pico]]". It makes use of the drum and bass that's heard in many of his flashes, and even includes a {{Leitmotif}} of "[[https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1683 Endless Handbag]]", which was the background music of the Website/{{Newgrounds}} front page in the late 90's and early 2000's.
