* {{Adorkable}}: Lawrence. See Linda's quote just above.
* AdultsAreUseless: Averted for the most part. They are shown to be fairly competent for the most part in the series, in spite of not knowing of Phineas and Ferb's exploits. However, they spend the movie [[FilmWithinAFilm watching a movie]]. Candace's GenreSavvy plan to ensure victory for the heroes does involve Linda's participation, but that's more "making use of" adults than adults actively being useful.

* GenreSavvy: While Linda may be the only person in the show to be mostly unaware of Phineas and Ferb's projects, as far as her own daily experiences go she has become quite savvy, to the point where she got suspicious in the ''second episode'' when she didn't receive any phone calls from Candace.

* NiceGuy: Both are quite nice. It's clear where Phineas and Ferb get it from.

* SleazyPolitician: He cares more for his popularity than the lives of others, and even makes his brother the fall guy in "The Beak".

** However, Linda's approval of Phineas and Ferb's project in "What'd I Miss?" is likely a sign that she would be more supportive of their innovations than what was previously let on.

* ParentalObliviousness: Justified, as [[ContrivedCoincidence contrived coincidences]] always serve to remove all evidence of the Phineas and Ferb' outlandish creations before Linda can actually see it(or in some cases, just the evidence that they were the ones responsible). Lawrence, though, seems to be oblivious to most things going on around him. In one episode the carpet in the room most of the characters are in is turned into a flying carpet, carrying the room's furniture and other contents with it. Lawrence is watching TV and notices nothing.
