I watched all of Season 1 and Season 2. Although Charles Jr. said that there were difficulties with his father following his arrest, there is NOTHING (not even dialogue) that indicates there was abuse of any sort.

Bury Your Gays is not just "a gay character dies." While Sazz is a gay character who presumably gets buried, this is a murder mystery and deaths are expected, and she's nowhere near the most prominent gay character (Mabel being bisexual and Howard being gay, campy, and way more prominent than Sazz).

* BuryYourGays: She is shot dead at the end of Season 3 (possibly in a case of MurderByMistake).

* PlagiarismInFiction: ''Cobro'' was based on a comic that Ben conceived as a child -- or so the world thought until Mabel saw the original artwork and realized that the original author for "R. * VillainessesWantHeroes: She is still attracted to Charles and refuses to break up with him despite her effort to kill him and his close friends. She was also in love with Tim, who didn't seem to be a hero, but was in secret.

* AssholeVictim: In life, he was an abrasive and antisocial person who rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, including his former friend Mabel who was angry at him for not defending Oscar when he was accused of murdering Zoe. Despite this, Mabel argues that Tim didn't deserve to die just because he was unlikable, and it is ultimately revealed that before his death, Tim was gathering evidence to prove Oscar's innocence to atone for not helping him years ago.

Mabel, his oldest friend, can't decide whether or not she is sad over his passing.passing, though this is at least mostly because of him being responsible for putting Oscar in jail...which turns out to be something he did to help Mabel.

* TragicHero: Despite all evidence to the contrary, Tim is ultimately revealed to be one. He kept silent about Theo and let Oscar go to prison to protect Mabel from Teddy, which broke up their friendship. He was still looking for evidence that would implicate Theo in Zoe's death, which he finally achieved shortly before being murdered -- for the ring, because Jan totally misinterpreted it.
