This here is a list of characters that appear in ''VideoGame/OgreBattleTheMarchOfTheBlackQueen''. Expect spoilers.

!!Destin Faroda
->'''Class:''' Lord

The hero of ''March of the Black Queen''. Originally just a warrior that Warren chooses to lead the rebellion to free the land of Xenobia from the clutches of TheEmpire. He gathered many allies and liberated the land, and in the {{Canon}} ending, surrendered the throne to the rightful heir, Prince Tristan. He then left to Palatinus, in order to investigate the activities of Lodis. There, he helped out Magnus Gallant and his own Revolution, and later left to Nirdam to liberate it from Lodis.

Tropes associated with Destin:
* CanonName: Unnamed in his own game, but given his canonical name in ''Person of Lordly Caliber''.
* TheChosenOne
* TheHero
* KnightErrant: The sequel paint Destin as this, a hero wandering the lands, looking for Tyrannies to topple.
* LaResistance
* MagicKnight
* MeaningfulName: Destin is french for Destiny.
* PreviousPlayerCharacterCameo: In ''Person of Lordly Caliber''.
* PurelyAestheticGender: The only effect that gender has on the game is that it causes a couple of good endings to go differently; the most important such difference is that the male Destin can marry Rauny (Hierophant ending) and the female Earwind can marry Tristan (Priestess ending) to unite the kingdom.
* RedHeadedHero
* TheCape: In ''Person of Lordly Caliber'', he's shown to canonically be an unwavering paragon of justice.

!!Lans(elot) Hamilton
->'''Class:''' Knight

A Knight from Xenobia, and a good friend of Warren. He is the first ally Destin recruits, and backs the [[LaResistance Liberation Army]] to the very end.

When the Holy Sword Brynhildr is stolen, Lanselot is sent by King Tristan to the land of Valeria in order to retrieve it from the Dark Knights, under the guise that they're exiled. He meets up with Denam, becoming his first mentor, and enlists in the Walister Resistance. Unfortunately, during the attack at Rhime, he is captured by the Dark Knights, and tortured to the point of insanity, leaving him unable to walk or speak. The Kingdom of Xenobia lists him as "MIA" due to this.

Tropes associated with Lanselot:
* {{BFS}}: His Xenobia Sword is at least as tall as him, and is one of the more powerful swords you can get in Tactics Ogre: LUCT.

Warren accompanies Lanselot on his mission to retrieve the Holy Sword, Brynhildr. Warren escapes the attack on Rhime, but becomes ill soon after, bedridden for the remainder of the game. He also later returns in one of the bad ends of Tactics Ogre, whereas he informs Tristan about the upcoming invasion of Lodis to Valeria.

* BigBad: [[spoiler: On paper, but is really more of a DiscOneFinalBoss]]
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen
* FaceHeelTurn: Once, was a benevolent ruler. Until the other kingdoms invaded and Rashidi came knocking...

!!Rashidi
->'''Class:''' Wiseman

One of "The Five Heroes" who helped form the kingdoms of Xytengia, Rashidi soon fell to evil after that, and lusts for the "Black Diamond", an artifact of extreme power.

* TheAntichrist: Some divine characters like Danika point out that Rashidi is the one destined to bring about the Second Ogre Battle.
* AGodAmI: Reborn in the body of a demi-god.
* BigBad
* TheCorrupter: Brought the once fair Queen Endora and her son Gares into evil, and was responsible for Mizal's fall by manipulating her love for him.
* EvilSorceror
* FallenHero
* TheManBehindTheMan: To Endora.
* HijackedByGanon: He goes unmentioned throughout all of ''Person of Lordly Caliber''. The last cutscene implies he was behind everything.

''[[folder:March of the Black Queen]]''

[[/folder]]

''[[folder:Let Us Cling Together]]''
!!Denim Powell [[spoiler: Mown]] / Denam Pavel [[spoiler: Morne]]

The main character of the game. Denam grew up in the port city of Golyat with his father Prancet and sister Catiua and childhood friend Vyce. He joined the Walister Resistance and tried to bring peace for the Walister, and was soon confronted with some harsh realities that his side is a bit loony. He could continue to follow orders or refuse, which affects his alignment. Regardless, he found out that he's not really Walister, but Bakram, thus he had ended up leading the battalion to free Valeria from the grasp of Abuna Brantyn [[spoiler:(his uncle)]] as well as saving Catiua.

[[spoiler:If Catiua dies, then he becomes king through nothing but his military reputation, and is either assassinated or is the target of a second intervention by Lodis. Should he succeed, however, he'll leave the country to Catiua and decided to travel to Xenobia.]]
* TheAtoner: In the Law route
* TheHero
* EasilyForgiven: In the Neutral route, he is willing to forgive everything that Leonar did to him as a result of the Balmamusa Massacre and its subsequent cover-up
* FailOSuckyname: The old name is named after... a type of ''jeans''. Seriously...
* [[spoiler:WalkingTheEarth -- In the ending where Catiua becomes the queen of Valeria, he goes to Xenobia, where Lanselot came from.]]

!!Kachua Powell[[spoiler: (Bersalia Overis)]]/Catiua Pavel[[spoiler: (Versalia Oberyth)]]

The main female character of the game, Catiua is a priestess of Golyat. As Denam’s older sister, she seems completely insecure about her disposition after losing their father. As such, she’s doing everything she can to stand by her brother. But halfway through, she storms off after thinking that he chose the war over their own welfare.

[[spoiler:In truth, she is in fact the illegitimate daughter of the late Dynast-King Dorgalua. Thus, she is the only person with a sufficiently-strong claim to the throne. Though Denam has to rescue Catiua from the grip of the Dark Knights, her survival depends on how he responds to her accusations against him.]]

* [[AnnoyingYoungerSibling Annoying Older Sibling]]
* [[spoiler:BadassPrincess]]
* BeautyEqualsGoodness: Partially subverted by Catiua who doesn’t seem to care much about anything other than Denam and herself.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Vyce chastises her for sweet-talking the Xenobians into helping them out.
* [[BlackMagic Black Mage]]: Catiua’s Princess class allows her to make full use of every elemental magic available (including the powerful draconic spells).
* DespairEventHorizon: Once she thinks that Denam has abandoned her in favor of pursuing revolution, she becomes desperate and ends up joining the Dark Knights.
* [[spoiler:DrivenToSuicide: Not everyone can handle the burden of being an important character in a YasumiMatsuno game]]
* EvilMakeover: During her time with the Dark Knights, she dons a new black outfit along with an evil version of her original class.
* FauxActionGirl: Some of the promo artworks depict Catiua holding a sword, but her in-game class forces her to wield staves and cudgels instead.
* GuideDangIt: How to [[spoiler:stop her from committing suicide, as well as keeping her out of the preceding battle against Lanselot Tartaros in Barnicia Castle.]]
* [[spoiler:TheHighQueen: If she manages to survive the events of the game, then she becomes this.]]
* HolyHandGrenade: In the PSP version of the game, Catiua’s the only playable healer who can cast offensive holy magic in battle.
* IHaveNothingToSayToThat: Invoked in the remake’s chaotic route when Vyce accuses Catiua for standing by Denam regardless of his decision at Balmamusa.
* IncestSubtext: Heavily implied in the first version of the game, ''slightly'' toned down in the PSP version. In general, her motivation for [[spoiler: doing all that crazy stuff like betraying Denam and joining the Dark Knights]] is linked to her wanting to be with him.
** [[spoiler: NotBloodSiblings]]
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: If she joins you.
* TheMedic: This is her primary role at first.
* TechnicalPacifist
* Wangst
* WhiteMage
** WhiteMagicianGirl

!!Vice Bozeg / Vyce Bozeck
A very aggressive dude, and the childhood friend of Denam and Catiua. He's had a rough childhood with a father who used to beat him up. But he's still good friends with those two and is a staunch supporter of the Walister Resistance. The actions of Denam, however, would affect Vyce's actions and personality. If Denam refuses to burn Balmamusa, Vyce gets over the top in aggressiveness and becomes Denam's worst enemy, and furthers his loyalty to the Walister Resistance. If Denam chooses to rejoin the Walister Resistance in the end of 2nd chapter, Vyce storms off from there and works on his own, eventually assassinating Duke Ronwey and dies from guards. Otherwise, Vyce contacts the Dark Knights and Brantyn, assassinates Duke Ronwey, attempts to assassinate Lanselot Tartaros, fails, and gets executed on Brantyn's order. [[spoiler:And in the PSP version, gets to return as a zombie knight by Nybeth.]]

If Denam chooses to accept at Balmamusa, Vyce suddenly gets heroic and refuses to burn Balmamusa, and later forms the New Walister Resistance. After eventually coming to blows with Denam and Bakram attacks, Vyce calls out a truce, helps Denam and eventually becomes one of his greatest allies.

* CameBackWrong: [[spoiler: This is Vyce’s final fate if you decide to follow the chaotic route all the way through in the PSP remake of Tactics Ogre. Watch 3:52 of this video for proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61pLmPf-lR4]]
* DualWielding: His class when joining, Ranger, allows him to dual wield two swords.
* EasilyForgiven: In the Law route, he doesn't seem to have much of a reason to submit himself to Denam's command besides that the good of Valeria demands it
* EvilMakeover: In the Chaos route, in addition to getting a sadistic look on his face, his hair also inexplicably becomes more evil. He is often referred to as "Sadistic Vyce" in this form. In the PSP version, he looks ''very'' different from his original self.
* FreudianExcuse / GreenEyedMonster: He brought this up in Chaos Route when he fought Denam.
* OffWithHisHead: In the Chaos route
* RivalTurnedEvil: In the Chaos & Neutral routes
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: In the Law route

!!Ravness Loxaerion
A new character for the PSP remake, knight under Duke Ronwey. A [[spoiler:half Galgastani]] lady warrior who has a strong sense of justice. This caused her to oppose Ronwey's decision to burn down Balmamusa (as opposed to Leonar). If Denam refused to burn as well, [[spoiler:Vyce instead shot her and she succumbed to her wounds and died.]]

If Denam agreed to burn Balmamusa, Ravness attacked Denam and left, showing up time to time fighting Denam, until she later is convinced that Denam has matured, regretted his decision and joined back to him.

* CutsceneIncompetence: [[spoiler: Despite her prowess in battle, Ravness is fatally wounded by Vyce during the start of the chaotic route.]]
* Expy: She’s Tactics Ogre’s answer to Agrias Oaks of Final Fantasy Tactics fame in almost every way.
* NobleFugitive: Ravness becomes a fine example of this trope in later chapters (provided if she’s still alive in each hostile encounter).
* TheReveal: [[spoiler: Leonar will reveal Ravness’ half-Galgastan roots once you make a decision in Balmamusa]]
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: This is her dilemma in the lawful route.
* ZettaiRyouiki

!!Mildain/Mirdyn Walhorn

A Holy Knight from Xenobia who assists Lanselot in the search of Brynhildr. He trains the Walister Resistance soldiers, and would always survive the attack on Rhime and joins Denam's battalion afterwards. He's usually described as calm, and a man of few words, but still attracts ladies.

* ChickMagnet
* RedOniBlueOni: The Blue Oni for Gildas.
* TheStoic

!!Guildus Vinzalf Burn / Gildas W. Byrne
Another Holy Knight from Xenobia (precisely, Highlands), who sticks around with him. Likes drinking and women. He usually survives the attack on Rhime and joins Denam's battalion... [[spoiler:Except in the Neutral route where he's killed and zombified by Nybeth Obilord, forcing Denam to kill him]]

* BoisterousBruiser
* [[spoiler:CameBackWrong]].
* RedOniBlueOni: The Red Oni for Mirdyn.

!!Donald/Donnalto Presance
Exorcist with a unique portrait. Used to run an orphanage in Golyat until it was burned down, he now seeks justice. He does have a couple scenes in the PSP remake.

!!Aloser Danya / Arycelle Dania
Leonar's ex-girlfriend from Balmamusa, pissed off at the massacre. At first she opposes Denam greatly. In the Law route, she is a complete bitch and gets killed for it when she and Vyce attacks Denam in Rhime [[spoiler:although not so much in the PSP version where she can avoid getting killed, sees the truth with Vyce and joins Denam's batallion along with him and the Holy Knights]]. In Chaos route, she mellows down and eventually learns the truth, now directing her anger to the right side.

* TheArcher: DUH.
* FailOSuckyName: The old name. I mean, ''A'''loser'''''? Seriously?
** It's a typo - it was meant to be Alocer, after one of the Goetia demons. Besides, saying 'You got killed by ALOSER' to a normally hard boss that she makes short work of with her arrows could quite qualify for AwesomeMcCoolname for some...
* RedBaron: The PSP remake gives her the title 'Thunder Maiden', and she's usually hailed as Walister's best archer ever.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: She is nonplussed about the Balmamusa Massacre

!!Zapan Illudus / Xapan Illudas

A mercenary who'd kill his own mother for the right price. In the Law route, his employers got killed and he's about to get killed by pirates, until Denam rescues him. He can be recruited right off bat, or not, in which he gets recruited by Brantyn and attacks Denam... but Denam can recruit him again. In the Chaos route, he got hired by Duke Ronwey and goes as far as kidnapping Catiua... but then Vyce backstabs and killed him.

* BoisterousBruiser: In the Law route
* PsychoForHire: In the Chaos route

!!Forcas Lida Rhende / Folcurt Reeda Lynde
A knight member of the Valeria Liberation Front, and the lover of Cistina. He got caught by the Walister in Krizar while on a recon mission, rescued by Denam and offers him a passage to Rhime through the base at Fort Bodo. But he eventually came to blows with the decisions of the leader, Cerya and joins Denam instead.

In Chaos route ending, he accompanies Arycelle to rebuild Balmamusa.

* DoggedNiceGuy: Most of his attraction to Cistina are mostly on [[AnguishedDeclarationOfLove his death quote]].
* HonorBeforeReason: His honor as a Knight would make him try to take Denam to Fort Bodo, rather than rescuing Cistina.

!!Byan Rozen Ohwn / Bayin Rosen Orne
A magician of the Valeria Liberation Front, former scholar of Bakram, who got expelled due to complaining for Brantyn's rule too much. He's first found surrounded by pirates about to be killed, but rescued by Folcurt and Denam's forces. If he lives, however, he'll ask Denam to rescue the captured Cistina before going to their business. Regardless, Bayin also shares disagreement with Cerya's decision and ends up joining Denam's battalion.

In Chaos route ending, he decides to open up a school in Balmamusa once Arycelle and Folcurt finish fixing things.

* CoolOldGuy

!!Jenounes Apatizer / Jeunan Avertif
Former member of Balbatos' extermination squads, who was once tricked into massacring a village of innocent people claimed to be a group of cultists. When he asks why, he's instead imprisoned, only to be freed by Denam and joined him to atone for his sins.

However, in the 4th chapter, a girl from that one sin came back to hunt him for revenge...

* TheAtoner: Has this in common with Denam, which would be a large part of why he joins the group.

!!Orias Obderhode / Oelias Obdilord
A daughter of Nybeth, complete opposite of what Nybeth stood for: Oelias is priestly and a devoted servant of God. She is accompanied with her zombified brother Dievold. She appears in the Neutral route, attacked by zombies led by a [[spoiler:zombified Gildas]], only to be saved by Denam. She joins up with him and goes with him to defeat Nybeth. Provided she lives, she will pay a visit to a monk that used to be her teacher to care further for Dievold.

[[spoiler:In the PSP Chaotic route, however... when she was trying to purify the dead in Balmamusa, she became surrounded and wounded. Denam saved her from dying there, but she ended up succumbing to her wounds and died.]]

* IHateYouVampireDad
* MadScientistsBeautifulDaughter

!!Debordes Obderhode / Dievold Obdilord
Son of Nybeth and was a member of Balbatos' protestants, and executed for it. Rather than respecting his soul, Nybeth attempted necromancy on him, turning him into a soulless zombie. With only Oelias to care for him, Dievold wanders the world just for her protection. Like Oelias, he appears and can be recruited in the Neutral route.

[[spoiler:In the PSP Chaotic route, however, Dievold is completely into Nybeth' control, forgetting Oelias and planning to attack Almorica through Qadriga fortress. Denam stopped and killed him.]]

!!Cressida [[spoiler: Obdilord]]
One of the new characters of the PSP remake, Cressida is an apprentice necromancer working for Death Master Nybeth. But in truth, [[spoiler: she’s actually his daughter from another woman. This makes her half-siblings with Oelias and Dievold.]]

* CousinOliver
* IHateYouVampireDad: [[spoiler: In the chaotic route, Cressida grows to resent her father for turning his back on their family.]]
* ItsPersonal: [[spoiler: What Nybeth did to Cressida in the chaotic route is more than enough to turn her against him.]]
* MadScientistsBeautifulDaughter
* MythologyGag: Her first name is the same as that of a minor boss in ''Knight of Lodis'', whose motivation for fighting you was revenge for the death of her parents.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Subverted in the chaotic route not once, not even twice, but a total of three times.
* UndyingLoyalty: Unlike Nybeth, Cressida is completely loyal to the Galgastan Kingdom. In fact, she’ll only join Denam if his standing with the Galgastans is high enough.
* [[YouKilledMyFather You Killed My Mother/Sister]]: This is Cressida’s reason for hating Denam and the Resistance.

!!Nybbas Obderhode / Nybeth Obdilord
Necromancer who wants to overcome death at any cost.
* ItsAllAboutMe
* MadScientist
* [[ForScience For Necromancy!]]

!!Haborym Von Rams / Hobyrim Vandam [[spoiler: V. Rahms]]
A blind swordmaster that Denam encounters. He always offers to join Denam. [[spoiler:Turns out he is the younger brother of Balxephon of the Dark Knights, framed for killing their father and sought revenge]].

* {{Badass}}
** HandicappedBadass
* DisabilitySuperpower: He's currently blind, yet is still as effective as any [[strike:Jedi]]Swordmaster
** And he has the highest dexterity stat in the game.
* YouKilledMyFather

!!Sisteena Foriner / Cistina Phoraena

Vice-leader of the Valeria Liberation Front and seems to have a knack for trouble. She is first encountered in Rhime being attacked by Galgastan, in which Denam rescues her... and then is never heard again in the Law route.

In the Chaos route, on the other hand, she gets kidnapped by pirates and had to be rescued (providing that Denam got the Wizard Bayin on his battalion). She ends up confronting her sister Cerya about her plan to assassinate the leaders of the factions, opposes it and joins Denam's battalion instead.

She's also one of the daughters of Mreuva, the 3rd daughter and she's associated with the Wind Elemental.

* BlowYouAway
* BreastPlate: Her PSP remake portrait seems to have her wear one along with her normal yellow clothes.
* HollywoodPudgy: That sprite of hers make her look fat, thus she's the subject of various fat jokes.
* TheMario: She starts out as an Amazon, thus she's the most customizable between her sisters.
* VideoGameCrueltyPotential: She may look fine and normal, but you could go out of your way to make her miserable, which includes getting Folcurt killed before he could rescue her, or taking the Neutral route and let her see Cerya die. Or not recruiting Sherri and kill her...
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Is not heard of again in the Law Route. [[spoiler:Not even during the scene when Cerya gets killed by the Dark Knights.]]
* WideEyedIdealist: Unlike Cerya, she doesn't like staining her hands with blood to achieve her goal.

!!Selye Foriner / Cerya Phoraena
Leader of the Valeria Liberation Front. Used to be a priestess, but got fed up with the politics and once her mother died, she left the Philaha Order and formed Valeria Liberation Front, with Cistina as the vice-leader, to oppose Brantyn. Tough and a realist, she's more than willing to use bloodshed as a means to reach her goal.

In the Law route, she ends up having her front completely obliterated by the Dark Knights and is slain. In the Chaos route, she attempts to assassinate Ronwey to make an opening to assassinate Brantyn in the ensuing war, this will cause Cistina (and Folcurt and Bayin, if they live) to oppose her idea and joins Denam instead. Later on, the Dark Knights wiped out her Front, but she managed to survive. In Chaos route, she joined Denam right off bat, but in the Neutral route, she went to rejoin the Front's survivor and went under the guise of pirates, until Denam finds her and recruits her.

The eldest daughter of Mreuva with the affinity of fire element.

* BigDamnHeroes: In the past, she did one, when both Olivya and Denam were about to drown.
* BladeOnAStick: Defaults on Valkyrie class, and if recruited at Neutral route, comes with a fire-elemental spear
* JerkassFacade: She's actually gentle-hearted, but had to put up a tough bitch persona as the leader of the Liberation Front (she actually asked Denam to take care of Cistina after the latter stormed off in disagreement). And when confronting Sherri, she's the only one who has nothing but rough words.
* PlayingWithFire
* WellIntentionedExtremist: She's more than willing to stain her hand to achieve her goals.

!!Olivia Foriner / Olivya Phoraena
Last daughter of Mreuva Phoraena, and stuck with him in the Philaha Order. [[spoiler:She used to be Denam's childhood friend and grew up together. Later, she took over Brigantys Castle to protect Denam's father Prancet, but failed to save him.]] She ends up leading Denam to Mreuva.

Her elemental affinity is Water.

* MakingASplash
* OddNameOut: She's the only one of her sisters whose name doesn't begin with an S... Sort of averted in the remake due to the changes of Selye and Sisteena
** Only difference in the remake is that her name is the only one that doesn't begin with a C... or S.
* ShesGotLegs
* [[spoiler:VictoriousChildhoodFriend]]

!!Shelley Foriner / Sherri Phoraena
Second daughter of Mreuva. She was really pissed off at how Mreuva failed to protect her mother and as a payback, she sought power by joining Brantyn. She managed to capture Mreuva in Balhamusa Temple, tried asking him about Forbidden Power, but was interrupted and beaten by Denam. Depending on the routes taken, she can be found in Balhamusa, hiding and blaming everything she lost to Denam, but both Olivya and Denam made her realize her faults and she tearfully joined with her sisters and Denam.

Her elemental affinity is Earth.

* AbsoluteCleavage (More apparent in the remake though)
* DishingOutDirt
* GuideDangIt: ''HOW'' did anyone recruit her without consulting a guide?!

!!Moruba Foriner / Mreuva Phoraena
Priest who used to be involved in Valerian politics, decided to look for "forbidden power" after that unpleasant experience. He later becomes Denam's political advisor.

!!Oxyones Lavin
A girl from the Village of Dragon God... the same village mistakenly massacred by Jeunan's squadron under Balbatos. She sought revenge and attempted to kill him when they meet. However, Denam can convince her not to do it and told her to stick with Jeunan just so she had a better chance to kill him, or see how much Jeunan has changed. She stuck with the second.

!!Ganb Backstein / Ganpp Vochstein
* FluffyTamer
* RecurringBoss: You fight him ''numerous'' times. He almost seems like a joke character
* OptionalPartyMember: highly recommended if you have a gunner because he has a rifle.
* WhipItGood

!!Father Plancy Powell [[spoiler:Mown]] / Abuna Prancet Pavel [[spoiler:Morne]]
Local priest of Golyat village, captured by Lodis during a violent razing. [[spoiler:He was captured because he knows a few things about the late King Dorgalua...]]

!!Duke Judah Ronway/[[strike:Wrongway]] / Juda Ronwey
Ruler of Walister, starts the game imprisoned by Galgastan forces but liberated within three missions.
* UnwittingPawn: He does not have what it takes to survive a game written by YasumiMatsuno in any of the routes.

!!Leonard Leci Limon / Leonar Reci Rimon
Duke Ronwey's right-hand man who is willing to do whatever it takes.
* [[spoiler:CameBackWrong on the lawful and chaotic routes in the hell gate]].
* DoomedByCanon: Although you would imagine that he'd be recruitable in the Neutral route...sadly he's never recruitable.
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: He will never admit that the Balmamusa Massacre might not have been the best thing to do.
* TheStarscream: Especially in the Law route
* Neutral Leonar actually becomes a sensible leader, loyal knight who cares about the land after Ronwey's death. Many fans have been clamoring that he should've been recruitable in that route, but alas, he's [[DoomedByCanon destined to be killed by Catiua with a stab of knife.]]

!!Cardinal Rayunder Barbatos / Hierophant Leundar Balbatos
Ruler of Galgastan, has the most native power on Valeria.
* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: In the Law route
* OffWithHisHead: In the Chaos route

!!Zaebos / Xaebos Ronsenbach
Right-hand-man of Hierophant Balbatos.
* [[spoiler: CameBackWrong in Hell Gate]].
* DragonTheirFeet -- In every route, he refuses to quit even after Balbatos is killed.

!!Cardinal Branta Mown / Abuna Brantyn Morne
Ruler of Bakram, backed by Lodis. [[spoiler:Once Lodis stops backing him, he doesn't fare any better than Ronwey did.]]

!!Lans Tartare / Lanselot Tartaros
Lead representative of Lodis in Valeria. [[spoiler:Actually just trying to secure access to Eden, where lies an ancient power. He is not picky about how this is accomplished. He's also actually Alphonse from the GaidenGame]]
* ContinuityNod: Look at the weapon he wields...look familiar? Yep - it's Anbicion...he got it from [[spoiler:Shaher]].
* EyepatchOfPower
* HannibalLecture - To captured Lanselot Hamilton
* ManipulativeBastard

!!Balzepho Von Rams / Balxephon V. Rahms
Second-in-command of the Lodis forces on Valeria. Also the elder brother of [[spoiler:Hobyrim]]. [[spoiler:The only other guy, besides Lanselot Tartaros, who knows Lodis' true objective in the region...]]
* [[spoiler:SelfMadeOrphan: He murdered his own parents and imprisoned his own brother Hobyrim.]]
* TheUnfought: You'd think you'd fight him but nope.
** He is fought in the PSP remake however.

!!Volac Winzalf / Volaq Windsalf
A Loslorien commander. Little is known about him, besides that he is a loyal soldier.
* TheUnfought: You'd think you'd fight him, but nope. In fact, Volac didn't even have any battle sprites!
** Averted in the remake.

!!Barbas Dud Goose / Dahd Geuse
* BloodKnight: Disobeys orders just so that he can fight Lanselot Hamilton
* DropTheHammer: Although he replaces this.
* GunsAreWorthless: In ''his'' hands. He attempts to take out a gun to shoot you with...except shoots one of his own men by mistake and says it's dangerous, so he hands it to a templar who doesn't use it.

!!Martym Noumous
* {{Jerkass}}
* SmugSnake: In the PSP version, just look at the expression he has on his face all the time

!!Oz & Ozma Gracious / Moh Glacius
* AxeCrazy: Oz.
* AnAxeToGrind: Oz's WeaponOfChoice.
* DuelBoss: In the law route, the fight with Oz starts off this way...and then reinforcements arrive. This sounds quite familiar to ''FinalFantasyTactics''...although this fight is [[ThatOneBoss MUCH easier]] than the equivalent there.
* DualBoss: In one route, you have to fight Oz ''and'' Ozma.
* [[spoiler:HeelFaceTurn ([[HighHeelFaceTurn Ozma]] can survive and join you in the PSP version, Law route)]]
* MagicKnight (both of them are good with both weapons and magic)
* WhipItGood: Ozma's WeaponOfChoice.

!!Andoras Gaffryn
* [[FallenPrincess FallenPrince]]: His kingdom is conquered by Lodis, but he is forced to fight for Lodis because many of his people are held as hostages. This is only revealed if you have the right characters in the battle, where he is identified as a Bolmarkian...and specifically a member of the Nildahme royal family.
* PowerFist: It's mentioned he prefers to fight with his fists rather than swords. Although he doesn't fight bare-handed.
* TokenMinority: The only black character. Thankfully he doesn't appear stereotypical in ''any'' way. He appears to be from the game world's equivalent of Mid-to-South Africa.

!!King Dolgare Overis/Dorgalua Oberyth Valeria
* [[spoiler:AGodAmI]]
* [[spoiler:FinalBoss]]
* [[spoiler:LoveMakesYouCrazy: He renounced his faith and sought the power of dark gods in order [[{{Necromantic}} to revive his wife and son]].]]
* [[spoiler:MirrorBoss: At the beginning of the battle, he summons the exact replica of deployed party members.]]
* [[spoiler:OneWingedAngel: In the PSP version]]

!!Manafloa / Mannaflora Befonda
* [[spoiler:PosthumousCharacter]]
* [[spoiler:TheReveal: She is Catiua's mother and King Dorgalua is Catiua's father, making Catiua the only character with legitimate claim to Valeria's throne after Dorgalua's disappearance.]]
[[/folder]]

''[[folder:Person of Lordly Caliber]]''
!!Magnus Gallant

Protagonist of ''Person of Lordly Caliber''. The son of the former general of the Palatian army, Magnus enters the military academy to get away from his father. He is the childhood friend of Prince Yumil, whom his father was assigned to guard. On his request, he is sent to the Southern region upon graduation. There he serves under General Godeslas and witnesses the start of the Palatian revolution. Regardless of the choices made, he defects to the revolutionary army, where he goes from untrusted rookie to flagbearer of the movement in two years.

Tropes associated with Magnus:
* {{Bishonen}}
* CallingTheOldManOut: Does this to his father, Ankiseth.
* HoYay: With Yumil.
* MagicKnight: After his class change.
* TheHero
* VisibleSilence: Though he just as often doesn't know when [[OpenMouthInsertFoot to shut up]].
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair

!!Diomedes Rangue/Dio
A southerner assigned to the same training group as Magnus. When the latter is assigned command in the first training mission, he grows jealous and challenges him to a fight. Depending on Magnus' answer to his challenge, and the answer to a later question, Dio may leave the party. Otherwise, he stays with Magnus, following him when the latter defects, eventually becoming a trusted friend.
