!!Kai Watari aka "Major Gray Enfield"
A 20 year old human or "Marebito" summoned from Earth to aid Princess Sakra. When summoned he was given the ability to utilize the ambrosia within her and select young women to turn into a "Cursed-God". He later assumes Major Gray Enfield's identity to rescue her and is roped into the larger conflict of the world, including leading an army unit and recruiting more young women to utilize their ambrosia whether he likes it or not.

* AccidentalPervert: It happens on occasion to Kai. The reaction depends on the girl in question.
* BedmateReveal: While not in a bed, when Kai wakes up in the Labyrinth, he finds a naked Shiera laying next to him.
* BlindingBangs: His hair is constantly covering his eyes, although after taking Gray's identity, they're seen more often.
* CoolMask: He now wears one to hide that he is not Gray.
* CursedWithAwesome: Kai is specifically called a God-cursed, and taking the power of the Ambrosia gives him great power at the temporary cost of his sanity.
* DeadPersonImpersonation: After Gray dies, Kai pretends to be him in order to make use of a military company that is planning to assault the castle where Sakra is being held for unrelated reasons. He mostly gets by on luck, judicious application of dynamite, and some half-remembered sales lessons. After, the prince decides that his punishment should be that he must continue pretending to be Gray.
* ElementalPowers: Utilizing the Ambrosia, Kai can enter Cursed-God mode and use an elemental power depending on the form.
** BlowYouAway: Nordri's Ambrosia gives him power over wind, capable of creating huge tornados capable of tearing down a zeppelin like it's tissue paper.
** MakingASplash: Oceanos Ambrosia gives control over the water with enough pressure it can cut through reinforced steel.
** PlayingWithFire: Efrit Ambrosia gives Kai control over fire and magma.
** ShockAndAwe: Indra Ambrosia gives Kai the power to control lightning and electricity.
* JackOfAllTrades: Kai has worked at basically every job in Japan, from salesman to miner. Due to his habit of reading up on the background of every job he had, he knows enough about modern technology to teach the basics to the locals. For example, they already had nitroglycerine, but couldn't figure out how to stabilize it. He taught them how to turn it into dynamite.
* KissOfLife: [[spoiler:Kai feeds Shiera the true Blood of the Mermaid through the mouth so she can recover from the wounds given by the land-shark, and later she gives Kai this underwater, right as her newly awakened Ambrosia manifests]]
* MagicVersusScience: Averted in that, Kai uses magic to channel his knowledge of science showing his fighting style to be a harmonious blend of the two.
* MajorlyAwesome: Grey was a major in the Lemurian company and Kai inherits the position. And he becomes skilled enough to earn it.
* MolotovCocktail: Basically introduces the concept by using one to distract some Dhala guards from the entrance of a plant.
* MundaneUtility: Kai often uses the magic he gains form the Cursed-God Mode to channel scientific uses. Shakuntala herself can't tell whether this annoys her or amazes her. In example, Kai used Indra's Lightning to create Sonic-Welding and Arc-Welding.
* NewTransferStudent: Under orders from Prince Luca, he transfers to Arlen Royal Academy under the guise of a Yashimano to investigate the rise in drug use involving Mermaid's Blood.
* OneManArmy: In God-Cursed mode, he can easily decimate an army, and he instinctively knows how to use its powers to deadly effect.
* PowerAtAPrice: The Ambrosia can turn any human into a nigh-unstoppable elemental killing machine, but they will be in a berserk rage for the duration of the transformation. It's even called "the blessing of the gods' curse."
* RealityEnsues: Kai's been okay with the Ambrosia due to all the wielders being young women; upon realizing Lady Suzuri had the appearance of a child, he instantly realized how ''bad'' that would look.
* RedBaron: Eventually Kai gets called "Grey the WarGod" by both the kingdom of Albion and the Dhala Empire.
* ScienceHero: Kai alternates between using scientific knowledge from his previous works to best his enemies, and the godly power granted to him by the Ambrosia.
* ShownTheirWork: The knowledge Kai has from his previous jobs are all well researched, among them that sharks can hunt using the ampule of Lorenzini, which allows them to sense the electric impulses of their prey, even in total darkness.
* StormingTheCastle: Kai, along with the Lemurian Company, storm Duke Gazuro's fortress to save Sakra.
* TokenHuman: Kai is specifically the only true human in this world.
* UnwantedHarem: Kai gets a princess of a fallen kingdom, a pure-blood werecat, an army captain, an alchemist, and a princess of a prospering kingdom all lusting after him. Kai is well aware that the situation makes his life much more complicated... but can't help but privately admit that it has its perks.

After initially realizing she failed to summon a warrior like she'd hoped and got Kai instead, she has made due and the two have united her the Kingdom of Albion to retake her home. She has a mysterious split personality in Shakuntala.

* MacGuffinSuperPerson: Sakra has the Ambrosia, one of the last pieces of magic left in the world. It can be used to give any human temporary superpowers, but there are implied to be other uses, which is why TheEmpire wants it.
* ShockAndAwe: She can bestow said powers of Lightning through her Ambrosia of Indra
* SplitPersonality: Sakra's Ambrosia has its own personality, which calls itself Shakuntala. She acts far older and wiser than Sakra, as well as with more cruelty, but seems to have Sakra's best interests at heart.

A young Leopard Celienthrope girl who Sakra freed from a slave caravan after she claimed to be a maid in the Adarl High Court. This was a lie, but Sakra's kindness caused her to help Kai rescue her and devote herself to the princess as an actual hand miad to give herself a better life and make up for her lie. As a rare pure-blooded Celienthrope, she has the rare ability to completely morph into a leopard.

A newly promoted officer in the Lemurian Company and 2nd in Command of Kai/"Major Gray's" Unit, Ligia is striving to prove herself to her unit but her rookie status and good looks gave her mixed results. By luck, Kai (posing as Major Gray Enfield) took command of her unit and lead them to victory. Now she happily continues to serve her Commanding Officer and unit, but sadly circumstances force her to use her looks more than she'd like.

Now teamed up with the Lemurian Company, Dorornea is experiencing the world for the first time with hilarious results.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: He may have threatened to kill anyone who came near his sister, but that's because he knows everyone knows about the Ambrosia she possess and thus immediately (and wisely) suspects no outsider has her best interests at heart. Once he looks past that, he's a stand up guy.

A low born man who has ascended high due to his focus on science and technology during the current Industrial Revolution. Though most of his history is a mystery, he has great hatred for the dying magic and wishes to bring the Industrial Revolution to the world.

* DoesNotLikeMagic: And how! Bred considers magic to be finicky, unstable, and too unpredictable in comparison to science and technology.
* FantasticDrug: Mermaid's Blood he had created is made by synthesizing black pearls, and is so strong the addicts are capable of tearing each other apart to get more.
* FreudianExcuse: He was born a commoner in an Empire that is pretty class conscience and it's clear Imperial Nobels view him as an upstart. It's obvious his upbringing and what he must have done to earn his promotions to his high positions are due to this harsh history.
* FrickinLaserBeams: Bred Regan pulls out a futuristic LASER GUN out of nowhere to everyone's shock, in-universe characters and audience alike and defeating a Cursed-God Mode Kai which was, up until that point, thought to be unbeatable.
* GoodSmokingEvilSmoking: He always has a cigar, and is a ruthless man who wants to destroy all magic.
* HeroKiller: He orders the assassination of his long time enemy Gray Enfield.
* TheMagicGoesAway: He would certainly like this to happen and is actively helping to extinguish it. In his defense, he believes, much like the Dwarves, the world will be a better place for it.
* MagicVersusScience: Bred Regan also believes all magic is unfair or too limited, and wants all of it to be destroyed, even when his superiors would prefer to capture the Ambrosia wielders alive.
