* TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler:In Chapter 192, she appears in Midoriya's dream, along with the previous One For All users. This is also the first time in the manga that Nana's face isn't obscured by BlindingBangs. She is later seen doing a blessing gesture towards Midoriya, along with the other users.]]
* CheapCostume: Her "hero costume", if you can call it that, consists of a cape, gloves, a sleeveless bodysuit and boots.
* ComboPlatterPowers: Nana was born with a Quirk, giving her another ability on top of One For All's SuperStrength. [[YouDidntAsk No one has bothered to mention what it was yet]].
* DreamingOfTimesGoneBy: [[spoiler:Nana had a weird dream where the silhouette of one of the predecessors gave her a cryptic message. * AFatherToHisMen: Well, one man that we know of. Supportive, encouraging, if somewhat aloof, it's not a stretch to say she was to All Might, what All Might is to Midoriya.
* GreaterScopeParagon: She was one of All Might's mentors and instilled in him the "fearless smile" philosophy. He still looks up to her, years after her death.
* HiddenEyes: In the manga, her eyes are always hidden, or seen closed when viewed directly. This is averted in the anime and Chapter 192.
* HistoryRepeats: In a retroactive example, "Volume 0", which was released with ''Anime/MyHeroAcademiaTheTwoHeroes'', reveals that she fought All For One with the last embers of One For All to defend her pupil, just as All Might would do for Midoriya years later. The difference is that Nana died, whereas All Might won, albeit he lost his powers in the process.
* LegacyCharacter: She is the seventh wielder of One For All, so naturally she obtained her powers from someone else.
* LikeASonToMe: Inverted. She and Toshinori were so close that he considered her to be like a mother to him and he grieves her death to the present day.
* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler:She is Tomura Shigaraki's grandmother]], though TheReveal is not done between the family members themselves, but rather the two people closely related to them, All Might and All For One. The latter gets bonus points for being a DarthVaderClone.
* MeaningfulName: Much in the same vein of Izuku and Toshinori, her name contains the number she represents in the One For All lineage, being that Nana means "Seven".
* TheMentor: One toward All Might, at least before her death. [[spoiler:She becomes one for Midoriya, giving him encouragement from inside his mind with the other seven deceased wielders of One For All]].
* MentorOccupationalHazard: She perishes at the hands of All For One prior to the events of the story, back when All Might was 18.
* NotQuiteDead: Like other previous users, part of her consciousness is embedded in One For All. Nana first theorized this and had explained it to a teenage All Might. She believes it to be romantic that even after her death, she would be able to meet other users of One For All. [[spoiler:This seems to be true when Midoriya was able to access the previous users of One For All, nor did she predict that the previous users literally keep living inside the Quirk.]]
* ParentalSubstitute: It's revealed that All Might thought of her as his own mother.
* PoorCommunicationKills: She never bothered to mention to All Might that [[spoiler:the vestiges were talking to her and saying cryptic things. As a result, All Might is completely unprepared when they start reaching out to Midoriya and causing his Quirk to go haywire]].
* PosthumousCharacter: She dies long before the start of the story. [[spoiler:She does appear in Midoriya's dream and seems to be aware of him being the current One For All bearer. If the other two users' interactions seen so far with Midoriya are any indication, [[NotQuiteDead she's able to keep on living within Midoriya's mind]].]]
* PrecursorHero: She was the previous user of One For All, and was All Might's mentor.
* PurpleIsPowerful: When powering up One For All, Nana's streak is purple, to All Might's yellow and Midoriya's green. It can also be assumed that like them, she had purple lightning when she powered herself up.
* RightForTheWrongReasons: Nana believed that the previous users live on through One For All, but as a guiding willpower through the vestiges. [[spoiler:She and Toshinori never realized that the "living on" part it was literally true.]]
* SamusIsAGirl: Midoriya even referred to her as a "he" when asking Gran Torino about All Might's predecessor. This clued Gran Torino in that All Might was telling Midoriya almost nothing about his past and Quirk.
* SevenIsNana: Naturally, the seventh user of One For All is named Nana.
* SleevesAreForWimps: Her hero costume notably lacks sleeves.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Considering the silhouettes shown, it's likely she is the only woman to have ever held One For All.
* StepfordSmiler: A {{subver|tedTrope}}sion. Nana believes that a hero should smile at all time to give hope to those who they are saving and must always say that everything is ok. This is something All Might took to heart, thanks to her.
* UndignifiedDeath: All For One claims that her death at his hand was utterly shameful, but All Might shuts him up before he can elaborate. Given [[EvilCannotComprehendGood his way of thinking]] though, it's probable that he alone would hold that opinion.
* WhamLine: Posthumonusly, repeated by Gran Torino. [[spoiler:Right as One For All starts spewing black energy/gunk from Midoriya's arm:]]
