* NeverMyFault: He blames the kids for compromising his escape and beats Orga to a pulp despite making a false promise to help them with Gjallarhorn when it attacks when he (Haeda) and the rest of the first corps tried to leave the third division to die. This serves to make him more despicable that by the time he (Haeda) gets shot dead, Orga and his surviving comrades had enough of this crap.

Replacing with explanation for the inhuman abomination part.

* MechanicalAbomination: [=McGillis=] warns Tekkadan that this thing and others like it were responsible for the Calamity War 300 years earlier which wiped out at least a quarter of humanity. The mobile armor that was found on Mars was deactivated, but Iok unwittingly turns it on when he approaches the site too closely with his mobile suit, and his suit's Ahab reactor ends up turning Hashmal back on.

* ShelteredAristocrat: While this was enforced by her rich parents who tried to raise her in a bubble isolated from the injustice experienced by the lower classes, Kudelia herself has long tried to defy her sheltered upbringing. From a young age, she cared about the poor and oppressed, constantly asking Fumitan to help her find out more about how they lived. At the same time, learning second hand about the cruelty of the social order can't prepare her for how shocking it is in person to visit the slums of Mars, or learn how the [[ChildSoldier Child Soldiers]] of CGS undergo horrific surgery to implant the Alaya-Vijnana system in their bodies. Her CharacterDevelopment has her go from well-meaning but sheltered in the beginning, to more experienced and determined by the end of Season 1.

* SuperReflexes: Part of what makes it so dangerous is it's able to react far faster than human reflexes such even the best BadassNormal pilots are unable to land a meaningful blow on it and are quickly trounced. Only by using the superhuman abilities granted by the Alaya-Vijnana [[HeroicRROD with the safety limiters disengaged]] can it be fought against evenly.

Amusingly, despite looking incredibly flashy, [[WeaksauceWeakness it's virtually useless against anything with Nano-Laminate Armor.]] Less amusingly, it can wipe out a civilian settlement in a single shot.

* MythicalMotifs: Hashmal's bodily structure is somewhat avian, but also resembles two-legged depictions of dragon. Mobile Armors are also voracious, destructive monsters that were slayed by the "knights" (i.e. mobile suits) of Gjallarhorn.

Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
It is explained in Hashmal's gunpla manual. Basically, they were like MD from Gundam W, automate weapins used by wealthy people to wage war against each other. They originally had some sort of control, but the pursuits of making them better at wiping out humans eventually lets them overcome it.

* PointlessDoomsdayDevice: It's not given any explanation who or why anyone would make self-sustaining, autonomous machines that try to kill as many people as possible without in-build way to stop.

* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Due to the unique circumstances of his relationship with his many "wives", he's got no issue with the idea of any of them leaving his harem should they find another man they've fallen in love with. Seeing as for a number of them, the "marriage" is in name only, and only the ones who seek a further relationship beyond that with him are the ones whom he reciprocates. Which is why he doesn't have a problem when he catches wind that [[spoiler:Lafter has feelings for Akihiro.]]

Correction: it's more like "wealthy people" instead of nations (with the MA being symbol of richness). But otherwise I stand correct, they were popular war tools in pre-Calamity War era.
Is there an issue? Send a MessageReason:
We have. It's outright state so in Hashmal's gunpla manual that they were made by various nations to wage war in pre-Calamity War era. Nothing special, just like the MD in W.

* PointlessDoomsdayDevice: We're given no clue who made it or the other Mobile Armors, nor why there were designed to wipe out humanity.
