* AdaptationalBadass: In ''Series/PowerRangersInSpace'', the Psychos were strong and quite a challenge for the Rangers but they would have more trouble when facing more than one ranger. This one however was challenge for the whole team, able to kill two members and ultimately only defeated through a HeroicSacrifice from a third. Though this is probably more due to fact that these rangers had just become a team less than an hour prior to this battle and were completely inexperienced.

** He seems to think Dr. K unintentionally unleashing Venjix, nearly leading to the annihilation of mankind is a good thing.
** [[spoiler:Ultimately, this leads to his defeat. His rejection of the Rangers' friendship is what causes him to be weaker compared to other Tommys.]]
* EvilOverlord: Drakkon is the masked ruler of a dimension where the Rangers have been brought low, a genuine threat, and one of the most monstrous villains in the history of ''Power Rangers''.
* EvilWearsBlack: Throughout ''Shattered Grid'', his Ranger outfit starts getting black parts to it, starting with black pants thanks to the Samurai Ranger powers, then black accents on the Zeo-based outfit. [[spoiler:By the end of the event, Drakkon's suit is almost entirely black, with gold armor and red trim on it.]]
* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: [[spoiler:The reason why he hates the other Tommy Olivers in the multiverse is because they serve as proof that Drakkon's evil and misery are by his own doing alone as the other Tommys faced just as much adversity and yet overcame it and thus got everything Drakkon envies for.]]
* FusionDance: An interesting case in while he himself isn't the fusion of two people. His Morphed form on the other hand, is the fusion of his two Ranger forms in [=MMPR=]. His Green Dragon Ranger and his White Tiger Ranger. Hilariously even one variant of [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/powerrangers/images/5/52/MMPR_30_Legends_and_Comics_variant_2.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20180811155739 Issue 30's cover]] references the namer of [[Manga/DragonBallZ the trope]].
* GodhoodSeeker: He wants to be a god. [[spoiler:In Shattered Grid #1, he achieves that goal.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: [[spoiler:Drakkon's fatal flaw and main motivation: looking into the Green Chaos Crystal, he saw all the other Tommy Olivers who led much happier lives than he did.]]
* HateSink: Appropriately applied since he’s an evil inversion of the franchises most beloved character. Every one of his actions seem to fall into one of two categories: further pissing off the people who already hate him or killing the few people that actually like him. His actions include killing the most beloved character of the franchise, who is a better version of himself at least TWICE, brainwashing one of the other most beloved member of the franchise into being his best killer (and possibly into a romantic relationship), capturing or killing many other characters across the Power Rangers franchise, and then destroying all of reality and rewriting it into a word where he's the opposite of this trope. ''Even then'', people begin to catch on that something isn't right. What makes this all worse is that this isn't a Tommy who never broke free of Rita's brainwashing, this is a Tommy who broke free and then CHOSE of his own free will to become a sadistic, murderous, treacherous, self serving despot.
* HannibalLecture: Tries to give this to Billy when the latter discovers he's being held prisoner by Promethea. [[ShutUpHannibal It doesn't work.]]
* HeroKiller: Jason Scott, Billy Cranston, Ninjor, Zordon, and Alpha 5 of his universe and [[spoiler:main universe Tommy Oliver as well as Zeo Tommy, along with Dr. Oliver off screen,]] are just a few on his long list of kills.
* HighCollarOfDoom: His Samurai-influenced outfit has a popped collar. It disappears with the next power upgrade.
* HorrifyingTheHorror: Him being the horror, whatever he experienced between the end of “Shattered Grid” and “Aftermath” clearly scared the crap out of him.
* HumansAreTheRealMonsters: He's one of two willfully evil human beings in the franchise (the other being [[Series/PowerRangersWildForce Master Org]]) whereas all others were BrainwashedAndCrazy humans, robotic psychopaths, malevolent aliens, or demons. Out of all of these, it's him who manages to rank up the highest kill count by wiping out the multiverse to replace it with something more to his liking. Thankfully this is undone, but still.
* IJustWantToBeLoved: [[spoiler:Drakkon secretly harbors a desire to have the life that all the other Tommy Olivers had, with the love, adoration, praise, and idolization that comes with it. He just doesn't want to put in any effort ''earning'' it.]]
* ItIsPronouncedTropay: Going by the spelling you would assume that it's said "Drake-on" but both Kyle Higgens and Jason David Frank have said that it's pronounced "Drac-en".
* KickTheDog: [[spoiler:Slowly crushes Alpha-6's head as an example to the In Space Rangers.]]
* LightIsNotGood: His original outfit is predominantly white, with some green and gold in the mix, and he's a crazed maniac with an army behind him. With further upgrades, the suit gets more black added on to it until all traces of green and white are gone.
* MegaManning: His mission in Shattered Grid. He seems to be collecting powers individuals from the Power Ranger teams he defeats in order to add to his own Power set. He gets Samurai powers in Issue #26 and by the end of the 2018 annual he at the very least has added Ninja Steel and Zeo to his collection. His end goal with this is to use all the powers he's acquired to enter the heart of the Morphin Grid itself.
* NeverMyFault: According to his creator Kyle Higgins, this trope is the driving force behind his actions. Higgins states that early in his time as a Ranger, the Chaos Crystal showed him a vast number of alternate worlds and that every single other Tommy Oliver was a good person as opposed to the selfish one he is and was also loved and adored as opposed to how he is worshiped out of fear. Higgins says Drakkon looked at these versions that were so different from him and said "I'm not the one who's wrong, it's everyone else (referring to the other versions of himself)! There's nothing wrong with me, I'm not the problem, they are!" This drove him to not only kill every version of himself that he could get his hands on, but also to rewrite reality where everyone adored him the way they did the other Tommy's without doing all that pesky personal growth or change.
* OtherMeAnnoysMe: To a seemingly extreme degree. During Shattered Grid [[spoiler:he goes after other versions of himself, killing both the main universe Tommy of the series as well as his Zeo counterpart, with his Dino Thunder self meeting a similar fate offscreen. It's revealed that this is because he can't stand that in every other universe Tommy Oliver is a much better person than him. That they met much of the same adversity that he did head on and he couldn’t use those as a FreudianExcuse.]]
* PetTheDog:
** [[spoiler:During Shattered Grid, Drakkon takes Zeo!Tommy's place during a celebration of Jason (thanks to a holographic disguise) and doesn't attack any of the Rangers to take their powers by force, instead sneaking Adam's Zeonizer away. He also has a heart to heart with Jason on top of the Power Chamber.]]
** In a twisted sort of way: [[spoiler:him having all the other Rangers who he fought against in his ideal world. Sure, they were there to idolize him, but he could've easily just let them die.]]
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: [[spoiler:His repowered form in ''Power Rangers'' has some of its parts in black with red cracks going over it.]]
* RedemptionRejection: [[spoiler: Tommy offers to help Drakkon just before his team departs but he rejects the offer.]]
* TheSociopath: Lack of empathy? Check. Consummate manipulator? Believe it. Pathological need for stimulation? Likes to kill who he can to make his existence worth while. Lack of reciprocity? It's all about him, so don't even try to work with him. And grandiose sense of self-worth? Sees himself as the only perfect Tommy. Pretty much whatever our universe's Tommy Oliver is, Drakkon is not.
* TokenEvilTeammate: To the Omega Rangers after they break him out of Zordon’s prison. He spends much of his time sneering at his teammates and their ideas of morality. [[spoiler:Then he betrays them.]]
* UnderestimatingBadassery: He assumed the other Rangers would be easy pickings. Some of them, such as the S.P.D. B-Squad, disabuse him of this one, and send him running.
* WeCanRuleTogether: [[spoiler:He asks Dr. K to join his forces, then makes it clear he wasn't asking. Having stomped on her traumas while he was trying to do so, she responds by trying to kill him.]]

* DealWithTheDevil: Makes a deal with the Empyreals [[spoiler:to betray the Omega Rangers, in exchange for getting his Ranger powers back.]]
* EvilCounterpart: An alternate version of Tommy Oliver who rejected the Rangers and stayed with Rita after he was freed from her spell.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes:
** In Issue #26, it's revealed that he is quite close with his universe's Finster (known as Finster 5) possibly viewing him as a ParentalSubstitute. This doesn't stop him from [[spoiler:killing the cyborg in Issue #30 when he attempts to prevent Drakkon from tapping into morphers from power sets he's already connected to]].
** In the 2017 annual, Rita also seems to be someone else Drakkon is close with. Similar to Finster 5, she might be a ParentalSubstitute as well. [[spoiler:Subverted in this instance, since he ultimately killed her.]]
** Another candidate seems to be [[spoiler:Coinless!Kim/Ranger Slayer. He tried to convince her into joining him, saying that they're very similar and that in another world, the two of them could be something more.]]
* EvilCannotComprehendGood:
** He's utterly baffled by the idea of the Zeo Rangers being TrueCompanions, and especially their love for Tommy, refusing to see anything good or laudable about him.
* PetTheDog:

[[caption-width-right:340:]][[caption-width-right:340: No, I am not Rita. I'm not some cackling old fool, crippled by sentiment and plagued by unrelenting ego.]]

A putty duplicate of Rita Repulsa made by Finister to be the leader of the new Dark Rangers, making her not as strong as the original, but far more loyal.
----
* CloningBlues: [[AvertedTrope Averted.]] She's well aware that she's not the real Rita, but believes herself superior to her. As she [[BadassBoast tells the White Ranger]] as she's beating him down.
--> Putty Rita: You think because I look like Rita, I am her? Perhaps I am something far worse. Because I was crafted for a single purpose...to rip your lives apart, piece by piece, starting today.
* EvilKnockoff: Is chosen by Lord Zedd to become the new Red Dark Ranger, and later wields the Red Terrorzord, a demonic parody of the Red Ranger's Thunderzord.
* HealingFactor: Has one as a result of being made of magic putty, as seen when she's fine seconds after being stabbed by Lord Zedd's spear, and when Tommy stabs her through the hand with Saba.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Once the Dark Rangers lose their powers, she's last seen slinking down an alleyway. injured.
* SuperiorSuccessor: [[ZigZaggingTrope Zig-Zagged.]] While Zedd notes that she's not as strong as the original, both Zedd and Putty Rita state what makes her superior is that she was made with all of her experience sans her flaws.
* UndyingLoyalty: The other thing that makes her different to the original Rita is that she's completely loyal to Lord Zedd.
