!Madoka Magica
[[folder:Homura Akemi]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tashomura.png]]

The protagonist of the game. While still a hardened veteran dedicated to saving Madoka above all else, she had been humbled by her repeated failures and decided to try a new strategy: making some friends.

ACupAngst: A running gag in the game is numerous other characters commenting on her flatness, causing her to feel self-conscious.
* [[Character/TryAnotherStorySupportingCharacters Supporting Characters]]
* [[Character/TryAnotherStoryEnemiesAndWitches Enemies
AntiHero: Since she's almost solely dedicated to saving Madoka, she commits or abets numerous villainous actions throughout the story, up to and Witches]]

including murder.
* CarFu: One of her more powerful attacks is "Category IV Hazardous Material", which has her driving a fuel truck into the enemy.
* DeadpanSnarker: Due to having more time to interact with her friends and classmates, this side of her is a lot more pronounced.
* DefrostingIceQueen: She slowly warms up to those around her throughout the course of the story.
* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler: She goes through this when Oriko and Kyubey reveal to her that every Madoka she failed to save was KilledOffForReal and that she was responsible for Madoka's massive potential as a magical girl.]]
* LifeOrLimbDecision: [[spoiler: During the battle against Walpurgisnacht, she was forced to cut off one of her legs to free herself from a large piece of debris. Fortunately, being a magical girl, she reattached it soon after without too much problem.]]
* MageMarksman: As always, Homura fights with an arsenal of modern weapons from her HyperspaceArsenal.
* SpectralWeaponCopy: Near the end of the story, Homura realizes her usual weapons might not be enough against Walpurgisnacht and goes through training with her allies to create magical weapons. This allows her to create and use the weapons used by the rest of the Holy Quintet. [[spoiler: This training later allows her to modify her shield and make it useful again after she lost her time stop magic.]]
* TimeMaster: Her signature ability is the {{time st|andsStill}}op, which can be used both in battle and during dungeon explorations to great effects. [[spoiler: During the Walpurgisnacht battle, she modifies her shield to be able to slow or accelerate time after losing her time stop power.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: What separates her from her canon counterpart is that she actually tried to befriend those around her, rather than seeing them as tools to be used. This is [[SlidingScaleOfGameplayAndStoryIntegration reflected in her skills as well]]: she starts with the skill "I Won't Rely On Anyone Else Anymore", which buffs her and debuffs the rest of the party. [[spoiler:During the battle with Walpurgisnacht, she learns the skill "My Best Friends", which buffs the entire party.]]
* WoundedGazelleGambit: [[spoiler: In the fight against the Dessert Witch, she weakens her magical defense and allows herself to be seriously wounded to scare Madoka away from contracting.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Madoka Kaname]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasmadoka.png]]
The main character of the show... but not this game. Since one of Homura's main objectives was preventing her from contracting, she only appears as a magical girl in a flashback sequence [[spoiler: and as a bonus character that can be unlocked in the BonusDungeon]].
----
* AbnormalAmmo: Her magical girl form has an attack where she throws ''a massive number of respawning Kyubeys'' at an enemy, limited only by her SG. Doubles as LethalJokeItem, since you can potentially one-shot powerful bosses like Walpurgisnacht with this attack due to the SG regeneration caused by each hit.
* ApocalypseMaiden: As in canon, if she ever makes a contract, she's doomed to become Kriemhild Gretchen, an immensely powerful witch that would destroy the world. [[spoiler: Because of this, Oriko (once again) wants her dead.]]
* BadassNormal: While tagging along with Mami and Homura, Homura gives Madoka an enchanted golf club for self-defense. She's surprisingly powerful in this state, able to send enemies flying off the screen with repeated blows from her golf club. Also, enemies won't attack her in this state, [[UnderestimatingBadassery presumably since they don't consider her a threat.]]
%%* EnergyBow: Her weapon of choice, which was later inherited by Homura thanks to SpectralWeaponCopy.
* TheHeart: While she's not an ActionGirl in the story of this game, and ends up spending less time with the rest of the Holy Quintet because of that, [[spoiler: she was ultimately the one who pulled Homura from the brink of despair as she was about to become a witch.]]
* MuggleBestFriend: She ends up becoming this after Sayaka contracts, which leaves her feeling that she's out of the loop. Fortunately, [[spoiler: Oriko and Kirika were there to keep her company.]]
* KarmicJackpot: [[spoiler: She befriends Oriko and Kirika after running into them in the street, unaware that they would later try to kill her. This not only saves her life, but also enlists two powerful allies for Homura that later prove vital in defeating Walpurgisnacht.]]
* NinjaLog: Her magical girl form has a magic where she uses a Kyubey as decoy, protecting her from one attack.
* ReforgedIntoAMinion: [[spoiler: After learning that she had magical girl potential, Yuuri turned her into an imitation witch with an Evil Nut, which looked like a simplified version of Kriemhild Gretchen (though thankfully wasn't nearly as powerful).]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sayaka Miki]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tassayaka.png]]
Madoka's childhood best friend and later the magical girl of justice. Unfortunately, in every timeline where she makes a contract, she ends up dying. Will her newly formed friendship with Homura finally change that?
----
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Due to circumstances, Sayaka ends up becoming much more friendly towards Homura during the course of the game, and Homura eventually comes to genuinely care about her as a friend.
* AxCrazy: As per canon, she starts going down this path when she realizes what becoming a magical girl did to her body, [[spoiler: but is ultimately saved by Kyoko's intervention.]]
* BadassNormal: While tagging along with Mami and Homura to learn about magical girls, Mami gives her an enchanted baseball bat, causing her to become a surprisingly good playable character with an extremely powerful group heal move and the ability to earn EP very quickly. Also, she apparently likes the bat so much that she keeps it even after becoming a magical girl, using it in one of her combination attacks.
* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: [[spoiler: Because of Sayaka's near-witch transformation, Oktavia von Seckendorff appears in the barrier of Walpurgisnacht, forcing Sayaka to confront and defeat her both physically and mentally.]]
* TheBerserker: One of her Magia, Rhapsody, buffs her attack at the cost of making her uncontrollable for five turns and causes [[HiddenEyes shadow to cover her eyes]]. If the battle doesn't end within those five turns, she unleashes a series of powerful slash attacks (with a SlasherSmile on her face) before immediately losing all SG and turning into a Half-Witch.
* BloodKnight: Like in canon, her fighting style starts to become more violent and reckless starting from the Elsa Maria fight. [[spoiler: Though she ultimately managed to snap out of it and channel it in a controlled manner.]]
* DamagerHealerTank: Interestingly, she's a mix of all three. Though she's primarily a tank, with high defense, a taunt ability, and many ways to heal herself, she can also deal plenty of damage and heal the entire group.
* DesperationAttack: While in Half-Witch mode, Sayaka unlocks two attacks that draw on the power of her witch form: one that summons a wave of Oktavia's wheels and another that brings down one of Oktavia's swords. While the attacks are powerful, Half-Witch has a large number of negative effects associated with it, so it most likely won't be worth it.
%%* FireForgedFriends: [[spoiler: With Kyoko]], after she saves the latter's life.
* PluckyComicRelief: She's the primary comic relief character of this game, almost always making jokes and references to old media.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mami Tomoe]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tasmami.png]]
A long-time magical girl and the primary protector of Mitakihara. Despite the increased number of magical girls in the city, she had yet to find any who were interested in protecting the city from witches and familiars alike... Until she was joined by Homura. Will her new friends save her from loneliness and despair?
----
* BoobBasedGag: Cole, the bull familiar that Yuuri summoned, was inexplicably friendly towards Mami, apparently because it thought she was one of its kind.
* BrokenAce: [[spoiler:It turns out being surrounded by friends didn't just fix her issues. It only allowed her to keep up the CoolBigSis facade longer, which finally came to a head when she learned about the origin of witches.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler: Like in canon, she nearly crosses this when she learns that magical girls are doomed to transform into witches. Homura has to convince her not to give up. If she fails, Mami commits suicide, leading to a NonStandardGameOver.]]
* GratuitousItalian: As in canon, most of her moves have Italian names.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Though she tried to convince herself that [[ChronicHeroSyndrome she's motivated by helping other people]], the fact that she gets no thanks from the people she saved and has no one to talk to about her fears and anxieties constantly ate at her. Ultimately, what supported her was not some lofty heroic ideal, but her precious friends. [[spoiler: This becomes important when you try to talk her down after she learns the truth about witches: you need to convince her that you need her, just like she needs you.]]
* MageMarksman: She fights with magically summoned muskets and cannons. One of her Magia, Bombardamento, has her summoning a ''railway cannon''.
* MasterOfThreads: In addition to her guns, she can use her ribbons to bind and restrict enemies.
* MidBattleTeaBreak: She has a magic that heals the entire party by offering everyone a glass of tea.
* SupremeChef: She is an amazing cook, to the point where [[spoiler: her desserts were one of the reasons Kyoko decided to stay in Mitakihara.]]
* TeamMom: She plays this role to Homura, Sayaka, [[spoiler: and later Kyoko]], and was mostly responsible for keeping the team together.
* TemptingFate: One of her Magia is named "I'm Not Afraid of Anything Anymore", which increases both the damage dealt and the damage taken. Coupled with her powerful offensive Magia, this turns her into a GlassCannon.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kyoko Sakura]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/taskyoko.png]]
A brash, selfish magical girl from Kazamino City, she came to Mitakihara to investigate the sudden appearance of a large number of magical girls. To her surprise, she learns from Kyubey that Mami has found new friends...
----
* AlwaysABiggerFish: Her first encounter with Sayaka has Sayaka fighting her as a [[TheBattleDidntCount canonically unbeatable]] DuelBoss. Later, [[spoiler: she fights Yuuri, another canonically unbeatable Duel Boss.]]
* HyperactiveMetabolism: One of her Magia has her provide a random boon to the entire party with a random food item.
%%* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: [[spoiler: She delivers one to Sayaka when the latter starts suffering SanitySlippage.]]
* TookALevelInIdealism: Or rather, she rediscovered her lost idealism. [[spoiler: After Mami opened up to her, Kyoko confessed that she never felt truly happy from acting selfishly, and it was ultimately all just a coping mechanism: she felt that if she only cared about herself, she'll never feel the pain of loss ever again.]]
* MasterOfIllusion: She originally had this power, but decided to stop using it after her family tragedy. [[spoiler: She ends up using it again in order to snap Sayaka out of her downward spiral and remind her what she truly wanted.]]
* SuicideAttack: The Flame of Purgation, as in canon, though fortunately it only knocks her out in this game. [[spoiler: During the Kyoko vs Sayaka fight, it doesn't even knock her out because [[ThePowerOfLove Kyoko is empowered by her feelings toward Sayaka.]]]]
%%* WhipSword: Her weapon of choice.
* YouRemindMeOfX: The reason she was hostile to Sayaka initially - she reminded her too much of her past self.

!Rebellion
[[folder:Nagisa Momoe]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nagisamomoe.png]]
A primary schooler magical girl who loves cheese. Surprisingly, she had yet to become a witch by the time Homura left the hospital. This time, will she be able to avoid the same dark fate that had befallen her so many times before?
----
* BubbleGun: Her weapon of choice. Its key feature is that while not powerful, it deals many hits. This, combined with her innate passive ability that increases EP gain, makes it extremely easy for her to rack up EP.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Though not seen in the game, it's implied that the events that led to her contracting were the same ones depicted in ''Magia Record'', meaning she was abandoned by her father and abused by her mother before the latter was unexpectedly killed.
* HyperactiveMetabolism: She has several skills that involve healing with desserts. Unlike Kyoko, though, it only works on herself, true to ''Rebellion'''s characterization that the nature of her magic is greed and self-assertion.
* LimitBreak: Her unique Large Orb unlocks a Magia that has her switching to her Bebe face, devouring a plate of cheese, and unleashing a massive barrage of bubbles on her enemies. It seems to be directly based on her Magia from ''Magia Record''.
* LittleMissSnarker: She is surprisingly sharp-tongued for a child of her age.
* ShoutOut: One of her Magia has her using bubbles as lenses to direct a beam of light at the enemy, referencing a technique used by Caesar Zeppeli from ''[[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureBattleTendency Battle Tendency]]''.
* VideoGameCaringPotential: [[spoiler: By interacting with her repeatedly, Homura can gradually help guide her through the darkness and start a new life without her mother.]]
* VideoGameCrueltyPotential: [[spoiler: If you ignore her events, she falls into despair and becomes Charlotte like in canon.]]
[[/folder]]

!Kazumi Magica

* TheCorrupter: In addition to turning people into monsters with Evil Nuts, she was the one who goaded Pia into going to Mitakihara to become a magical girl, sympathizing with her desire for revenge.

!Suzune Magica
[[folder:Suzune Amano]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/suzuneamano.png]]
The infamous Ripper Girl from Hohzuki City, Suzune came to Mitakihara to investigate after hearing about an abnormal growth in the number of magical girls. Though she initially lived in a hotel using magic, similar to Kyoko, Hinata quickly befriended her and invited her to live at her dorm.
----
* MasterOfIllusion: [[spoiler: In addition to Homura's time powers, Suzune also learns Kagari's memory manipulation after using the Power Copy item found in the bonus room.]]
* OddFriendship: With [[GenkiGirl Hinata]], who's possibly the first magical girl she met in the city. It is possible that their friendship was the reason Suzune didn't go full Ripper Girl on the magical girls of Mitakihara.
%%* PlayingWithFire: Her fighting style.
* PowerCopying: [[spoiler: The version of her in Itzli's barrier has a move where she one-shots Homura and copies her time powers. Later, there's a consumable item in the bonus room that grants the playable Suzune the same moves.]]
* SuperMode: One of her Magia is a powerful attack that also transforms her sword into the enhanced version from the final chapter of the manga. This grants her an even more powerful Magia.
* TimeMaster: [[spoiler: The Itzli copy of her can stop time or temporarily freeze enemies in time after copying Homura's powers. The real deal can also access these powers using an item found in the barrier.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: Zig-Zagged. While she does become friends with Hinata and potentially Homura and doesn't kill any magical girl during the main story, [[spoiler: dialogue with Hinata and Oriko in the post-game implies that after she returned to Hohzuki, she immediately went back to killing magical girls.]]
* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler: In the post-game, she goes back to Hohzuki to kill magical girls again. Considering what Kagari was up to in the meantime, she may actually end up ''worse'' in this game than she did in canon.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kagari Hinata]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kagarihinata.png]]
A magical girl from Hohzuki City. Not much is known about her, other than that she seems to be close friends with Suzune. Surely, she can't be hiding some ulterior agenda, right?
----
* AffablyEvil: Despite her nature, she was actually quite nice to Homura. [[spoiler: After the events of Past France, she finds Homura and gives her a few Grief Seeds to help her with fighting Walpurgisnacht. She even invites her to Hohzuki City and offers to help her forget everything if she loses.]]
* BackStab: Her Magia does this, which has the added effect of insta-killing Dazzled enemies.
* BestServedCold: It's implied that rather than making Suzune forget about her, as in canon, she pretended to be Suzune's friend and waited for the chance to stab her in the back and plunge her into despair.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Compared to the other villainous magical girls in [[spoiler: Past France]], who are all pretty obviously deranged, Kagari is much more subtle, to the point where you probably won't even know she's a villain unless you've read ''Suzune Magica''.
* FakeMemories: She has the power to manipulate memories and used it to turn Suzune into a serial killer.
* FalseFriend: She appears as Suzune's "friend" in [[spoiler: Past France]].
* MasterOfIllusion: An application of her memory manipulation magic. Gameplay-wise, this allows her to inflict Dazzle on enemies, setting them up for her Magia.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: After the events of [[spoiler: Past France]], everyone forgot about what happened in their dream, but she was able to rewrite the memories into her brain using her magic before she completely forgot, allowing her to remember most of what happened.

!Tart Magica
[[folder:Minou]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/minou1.png]]
[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote: Click here to see her unmasked appearance]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/minou2.png[[/labelnote]]]]
A masked magical girl who fights for the English army. She graciously provides shelter to temporally-displaced magical girls and offers to help them find a way home, in exchange for one simple task: find and kill the heretic Tart.
----
* DreamWeaver: [[spoiler: She was responsible for creating the Past France dream world, which was actually Tart's dream, in a plot to destroy Tart's spirit and prevent her from striking down Isabeau.]]
* IdenticalStranger: For unknown reasons, her face looks almost identical to Tart's, something that was present in the original manga but never addressed. This is likely a reference to a controversial claim by 19th century author Pierre Caze that Jeanne d'Arc was an illegitimate daughter of Isabeau.
* ManipulativeBastard: [[spoiler: She was responsible for luring in magical girls from the future and using them in her plot to break Tart's will.]]
* MorphWeapon: Her primary weapon is a cat o' nine tails, which can morph into a large sword.
* NotSoAboveItAll: After Homura pulls out a pair of cat ears from her shield, she becomes obsessed with them, puts them on Alina's head to see what she would look like, and later creates several copies using magic. This is notably her one humanizing moment in the story.
** [[spoiler: After her defeat by Tart, she admits that she actually had fun spending time with the future magical girls before fading away from the dream world and waking in the real world.]]
* OmnicidalManiac: [[spoiler: She plans to kill Tart to prevent the defeat of her mother, Isabeau, allowing Isabeau's witch barrier to expand and cover the world. This would effectively doom the human race, reducing all humans to mere fodders for Isabeau.]]
* {{Seers}}: [[spoiler: She learned how to look into the future on Isabeau's order and foresaw that Tart would eventually defeat Isabeau. She then orchestrated the events of Past France to try and prevent that future.]]
* UndyingLoyalty: She is absolutely loyal to her mother, Isabeau.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tart (Unmarked Spoilers!)]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tart_8.png]]
La Pucelle. The young maiden who came to be known as the savior of France. After she was branded as a heretic and imprisoned by the English army, she somehow escaped and returned to her hometown of Domrémy.
----
* AllLovingHero: She was shaken out of her despair by her desire to protect Team Homura and the future they came from, even she had only just met them and they were apparently her enemies.
* CoolSword: Her primary weapon is the Épée de Clovis, a magic sword once used by the founder of France. In her Final Form, the sword becomes a sword of light, and she gains the ability to create a copy of it out of shadow.
* ElementalFusion: Her Final Form combines her light magic with Riz's shadow magic, causing her element to change to Variable.
* HeroicResolve: After being driven to the edge of despair by Minou, she was able to get back up upon hearing that Minou's actions would destroy the future.
* HolyHandGrenade: Many of her attacks are light-based.
* ThePaladin: In addition to her powerful defenses and light-based powers, she can also heal and buff the entire group.
* TheSlowWalk: One of her Magia has her does this before unleashing her sword of light and sword of shadow on the enemies, taking cues from her Doppel in ''Magia Record''.
* TakeUpMySword: She has access to her Final Form in the dream world, which was entrusted to her by the deceased Riz Hawkwood.
* YouRemindMeOfX: She remarks that Homura's demeanor reminds her of Riz.

!Mobage
[[folder:Yuri Tsubaki]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yuritsubaki.png]]
A semi-original character based on the PlayerCharacter of the ''Madoka Magica Mobage'', who was a magical girl that, like Homura, had the power to rewind time. We didn't know much about her, other than that she had lost her memories and that she made the contract for "her" sake. Unfortunately, the game ended service before we learned about her past and who "her" is.\\\
Since said character was a FeaturelessProtagonist, her appearance and equipment in this game were based on [[https://twitter.com/kazekagenanaich/status/1465245438773104642 the author's character]] in ''Madoka Magica Online''.\\\
In this game, she serves as Suzuka's assistant and the ItemCrafting merchant. Strangely, she seems to recognize Homura, and Homura also feels a strange sense of déjà vu when looking at her, as if she had met her before in a dream...
----
* AllYourPowersCombined: She can use moves by all members of the Holy Quintet [[spoiler: due to having trained with them in previous timelines.]]
* BestFriend: Suzuka is her closest friend. [[spoiler:When Suzuka's hospital was destroyed by Walpurgisnacht, she made the contract to go back in time and save her, causing her to team up with Homura.]]
* CardsOfPower: She fights using a wide range of weapons that have been compressed into magical cards. According to her, she was inspired by [[Manga/CardcaptorSakura an old anime]] she watched as a kid.
* ConnectedAllAlong: It turns out that [[spoiler:Yuri made her contract at the same time as Homura, and the two travelled through the timelines together, fighting side by side in order to stop Walpurgisnacht.]] Unfortunately, [[spoiler: the Homura she knew turned into a witch, and in the current timeline, Homura no longer remembers her, implying that the Homura she knew was KilledOffForReal.]]
* DungeonShop: Like Suzuka, she often shows up in witch barriers to offer item fusion services.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She first appears when Homura meets Madoka in the streets.
* ForgottenFirstMeeting: Yuri first met Homura [[spoiler:when the latter first made the contract to save Madoka.]]
* LifesavingMisfortune: After losing her memories, [[spoiler: her goal shifted from saving Suzuka to saving Mitakihara, causing her accumulated karma to be dispersed to every girl in town, unknowingly sparing Suzuka [[ApocalypseMaiden the same fate as Madoka]].]]
* {{Nice G|uy}}irl: Despite all the horror she's been through, she didn't let them change her. She is friendly and supportive to Homura and promises that she would be there to support her no matter how she changes.
* ShaggyDogStory: A happy variant, [[spoiler: after realizing that the Homura she knew was no more, Yuri ran into Suzuka in the hospital, now healthy again due to making a contract with Kyubey. This caused her to [[RegainedMemoriesSequence remember why she contracted in the first place]]. Having already accomplished what she set out to do, she's now focused on helping Homura achieve her goal as well.]]
* TraumaInducedAmnesia: She lost her memories after [[spoiler: being ambushed by Kriemhild Gretchen in one timeline.]]

[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/komachi_8.png]]
[[caption-width-right:544:Komachi]]

A team of four magical girls introduced in the ''Mobage'' event "The Hollow Little Mermaid". They were essentially four {{DecompositeCharacter}}s based on Kyoko (since Kyoko was an ally in the ''Mobage''), and play a very similar role in the event to Kyoko's role in the anime.\\\
The four show up in Mitakihara one day, attempting to take over the city from the Holy Quintet and believing that familiars should be left alone until they mature into witches. After repeated confrontations with the Holy Quintet, Sayaka transforms into a witch, but Elise, moved by how Sayaka's actions reminded her of her little sister, used her innate magic to turn into a witch in her stead, sacrificing herself to save Sayaka.\\\
In this game, they no longer wish to take over the city, and can potentially become Homura's allies. The team functions as a single playable character, with one character on the field and the others off-screen. The on-field character switches based on what magical attack is used, causing the character element to change.
----
* AdaptationExpansion: In the mobage, Elise's teammates have barely any screen time and very little personality other than that they all love Elise. Here, they all get their individual sub-events, making them actually feel like characters in their own rights.
* AdaptationOriginConnection: They first appear in Yuri's backstory, trying to take over Mitakihara in one of the past timelines. Homura thought to herself that this was the first time she encountered them, implying that they were able to become magical girls due to [[spoiler:the accumulated karma from Yuri.]]
** Komachi, a naginata user, is established to be a Ryuushinryuu student who trained with [[VideoGame/MagiaRecordPuellaMagiMadokaMagicaSideStory Asuka Tatsuki]].
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: A strange case. In the ''Mobage'' event, Elise and her team were complete {{Jerkass}}es until Elise's HeroicSacrifice, and even then it only felt like she fixed a mess she made. However, their character profiles all described them as nice and friendly people. Their portrayals in this game were much closer to the character profiles.
* BigSisterInstinct: Elise, who lost her little sister, was extremely protective of her teammates [[spoiler: and later Asumi]]. [[spoiler: Her mirror version [[{{Flanderization}} exaggerates this to a hilarious degree]], wanting to force Homura to become her little sister and changing the name of Magic Pile to "Call Me Big Sister!".]]
* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Elise suffers from this, often dragging the rest of the team along. [[spoiler: This allows Asumi to take advantage of her kindness many times in a roll, hurting her and her team in the process.]]
* CombinedEnergyAttack: Elise's Magia, Magic Pile, has the entire team combine their powers to form a large energy sphere before sending it towards the enemy.
* FourGirlEnsemble: Elise is TheLeader, Claire is TheStoic, Hiyori is TheHeart and Komachi is the GenkiGirl.
* GenkiGirl: Komachi, who enjoys exercising in her spare time due to spending a lot of time bedridden with illness in the past.
* HealingFactor: Komachi can heal very fast, since her wish was to cure herself of a deadly illness.
* MagicMusic: Hiyori can heal and buff the team or damage the enemies with her magical harp.
* NaginatasAreFeminine: Komachi, like Asuka, is a water element naginata user.
* ShockAndAwe: Claire fights by summoning lightning with her staff.
* SummonMagic: Elise fights by summoning strange, fanged creatures. She notably has no magical weapon at all.
* YouRemindMeOfX: Elise towards [[spoiler: Asumi]], who reminded her of her deceased younger sister.

!Online
[[folder:Suzuka Ando]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/suzukaando.png]]
A [[https://www.onlinegamer.jp/news/201206130042/ publicity character]] for ''Madoka Magica Online'' that appeared on the (now-defunct) developer's blog, she did not actually appear in the game. Because of her association with the game's management, she was often the target of ire for players. Her magical girl design in this game was based on the winning entry of a [[http://info.nicovideo.jp/seiga/madoka-magicaonline/ magical girl design contest]] for the game, whose weapon, clothes, and accessories were later implemented into the game.\\\
The best friend of Yuri Tsubaki, Suzuka was originally bedridden because of her illness until she made a contract with Kyubey. The daughter of grocery store owners, she decided to start a business directed at magical girls, and wished for the ability to make a booming business.\\\
In the game, she appears as the mysterious, somewhat shady owner of "[=SUZUKANdou=]", a shop that sells various magical items and weapons to the magical girls of Mitakihara, while trying to remain neutral in their conflicts. She is assisted by Yuri, whose ability to fuse items complements Suzuka's ability to enchant them.
----
* BagOfHolding: One of the magical powers she had was a magical warehouse that allowed her to store her entire inventory. This explains why she can set up shop even in witch barriers.
* ContinuityNod: Her idea to start a shop for magical girls was inspired by rumors of a magical girl in some faraway town collecting Grief Seeds this way, likely a reference to Mitama Yakumo from ''Magia Record''.
* DelicateAndSickly: Before she made her contract, she was left weak and bedridden by an unspecified illness. When Yuri told her that magical girls will eventually become witches, she didn't even mind because if it weren't for the contract, she wouldn't have lived past 20 anyway.
* DifficultButAwesome: She has a unique Magia called Continuity Sword, which allows her to execute a number of sword attacks based on how many combo sequences you input before a timer runs out. If you are good enough, she can unleash [[BladeSpam dozens of hits]] and cause massive damage.
* DungeonShop: She and Yuri often set up shop in various witch barriers, providing supplies for any magical girl who enters the barrier. When she joins you, you can access her shop directly from the party menu.
* PolitenessJudo: Initially, if you ask her to join, she'll politely decline due to wanting to remain neutral. However, after Yuri starts helping her with running the store, she'll accept simply because Yuri likes you.
* MagicEnhancement: One of the magical powers she got after making her wish was to enchant ordinary items into magical weapons. She demonstrates this by turning a baseball bat into a magical [[SavageSpikedWeapons nail bat]] (an actual weapon from ''Madoka Online'').

[[folder:Alina Gray]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alinagray.png]]
In another world, Alina Gray may end up as the leader of an army of magical girl zealots... But in this one, she's just a somewhat deranged artist-slash-magical-girl. She was one of the many magical girls who tried out the red and blue candles that supposedly improve sleep quality.
----
* TheCameo: In the post-game, she comes to Mitakihara for an art exhibit. She can be found on a street corner, remarking that Mitakihara is a boring city that's not much different from Kamihama.
* CompositeCharacter: Some of her moves are based on abilities used by Holy Alina, the most notable was Blast De cay, based on Holy Alina's Magia, Endless De cay.
* FamedInStory: Multiple characters mention that she's a renowned artist, in and out of the main story.
* GratuitousEnglish: As always, her speech is peppered with random English words.
* HyperSpaceArsenal: Throughout the events of [[spoiler: Past France]], she captures and stores numerous defeated witches with her cube after Sasa takes control of them, releasing them onto the enemies later. The end result looks a lot like [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Poké Balls]].
* NightmareFetishist: As with her ''Magia Record'' counterpart, she's excited by the designs of witches and familiars and wants to capture them to use in her art.
* SpeedSmartsAndStrength: As a reference to the combat system in ''Magia Record'', three of her offensive magics are Accele Shooter (a multi-hit attack), Charge Shot (an attack that buffs her attack power), and Blast De cay (an all-target attack).

A magical girl from another world. [[spoiler: Mirror copies of her appear as Itzli's minions.]]
----
* AssistCharacter: Her playable version can summon Kuroe and Sana for some of her attacks.
* EnergyBow: Her weapon of choice is an energy crossbow.
* LastChanceHitPoint: Her Magia, Strada Futuro, grants the Survive status effect to the entire party, allowing them to revive with a small amount of HP after being defeated. This makes the already difficult fight against her group even worse, as she can do this indefinitely as long as she's still standing.
* {{Superboss}}: The version of her in the bonus room leads a team of ''Magia Record'' girls, each with incredibly powerful attacks and abilities, including the ability to completely nullify Homura's Clock Up Full Force.

!Null Magical Girl
[[folder:Kosane Kiriha]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kosane.png]]
The main character of ''Null Magical Girl''. Kosane is a 24-year-old postgraduate student who's jobless and stuck at home because of the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic. When she was 14, she was approached by Kyubey, but failed to become a magical girl when Kyubey found out that she was soulless.\\\
By the time her story started, her mental state was a complete and utter mess. Since the story was [[UnreliableNarrator written entirely from her perspective]], it's not clear if she's a {{Tragic Hero}}ine who was chosen by the universe itself to fight a HopelessWar for its survival or a LoserProtagonist who had nothing to live for and committed suicide.\\\
As of 1.1.1, she is only in the game as the SoundTest piano player in the BonusDungeon secret room, though a still-unfinished playable version of her was available in the same room, as a sneak peak for future versions.
----
* AssistCharacter: Since she's not a magical girl herself, most of her attacks has her summon Rika Ayano and Ren Isuzu from ''Magia Record'' to do the fighting for her. The author implied that how they met will be explained in a future version of the game.
* TheChosenOne: She has a passive called "Will of the Universe" that buffs her at the start of each battle, which was described as the immune system of the universe itself empowering her to fight magical girls and prevent the rise of the Homo Magica.
* CutenessOverload: She undergoes this when Rika and Ren use Holy Spiral. Apparently, their combined cuteness is enough to go through her Incubator Perception Filter.
* DrowningMySorrows: One of her magic has her [[HealthFood drinking a glass of tequila]] to heal and remove status ailments. This is the ''only'' magic used by her boss version.
* EarthShatteringKaboom: Before running away from her boss fight, she uses an attack called Supernova, which involves teleporting the four gas giants of the solar system near the sun, causing a solar storm that collapses the sun and obliterates Earth.
* {{Escapism}}: Being a main character, she appears in the main characters boss fight in the secret room. However, true to her canon characterization, all she does is drink tequila and run away when her EP is filled (but not before unleashing an unexpected attack, see above).
* PerceptionFilter: She is immune to Charm-based status ailments, likely a reference to how Kyubey altered her perceptions to protect her from the overwhelming cuteness of the Homo Magica.
* TimeRewindMechanic: One of her magic causes Eruna, her sister (and ImaginaryFriend, and ArchEnemy) to appear and offer to rewind the battle to when it first began, referencing when Eruna undid every one of her attempts to wipe out the magical girls in her story.

!Original/Semi-Original
[[folder:Yuki Kagura]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yukikagura.png]]
An original character. Yuki is a second year student from Ryoshu Middle School and a member of the volunteer club. In primary school, she became best friends with classmate Yuna Sumi, who taught her to be more assertive.\\\

Their friendship continued into middle school, but one night, Yuna went missing. Yuki eventually found her in a park, heavily wounded and with a nearly black Soul Gem. Using the last of her magic, Yuna defeated the witch that wounded her and shattered her own Soul Gem to protect her friend.\\\

One year later, Yuki gained the ability to see and talk to Kyubey for unknown reasons. No longer wanting to lose anyone else, she wished for the strength to protect everyone's smiles, just as Yuna once protected her. She then became magical girl teammates with fellow volunteer club members Kyo and Charolles.
----
* ChronicHeroSyndrome: She is absolutely dedicated to helping everyone around her, both as a volunteer and as a magical girl.
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler: If you fail to save Ruki from the Giraffe Witch, Yuki is heartbroken that she failed to save her friend once again and runs off. She eventually comes back... as the Divine Tree Witch.]]
%%* {{Expy}}: Of Yuna Yuki from ''Anime/YukiYunaIsAHero''.
* ExtremeDoormat: She originally suffered from this, willing to be pushed around by her classmates for the sake of making friends. Yuna snapped her out of it.
* GenkiGirl: She is athletic and always filled with energy.
* LastChanceHitPoint: She has a passive skill that allows her to survive a fatal attack with one HP, which can be used indefinitely once she's been healed, which synergizes well with her self-healing Magia.
* MotivatedByFear: Because of Yuna's death, she's driven by the fear of losing anyone else close to her.
* TakeUpMySword: She wished for the strength to protect everyone, like Yuna once did with her bow. As a result, she inherited Yuna's flame bow.
* TragicBromance: With Yuna. Yuna's death was the reason she became a magical girl.

[[folder:Satsuki Asami]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/satsukiasami.png]]
An original character. Satsuki was a kind girl who loved singing and cared deeply for her family. When her younger brother, Mutsuki, was killed in a car accident, Satsuki made a wish to bring him back to life. However, this seemingly innocent wish would turn her life into living hell and set her down a bloody path of no return...\\\
Since her karmic potential wasn't enough for a perfect resurrection, she had to sustain Mutsuki's resurrected body with her magic, meaning she required twice as many Grief Seeds. Unable to get enough from witches, Satsuki resorted to taking them from other magical girls. Knowing that alive targets will seek retribution and magical girls turn into witches, she decided to kill her targets, justifying to herself that any magical girl she kills would eventually witch out anyway. As news of teenage girl killings spread in her city, she turned to Mitakihara for fresh pickings.
----
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Mutsuki was back from the dead, but his life [[CameBackWrong had to be sustained by her magic]], forcing her to commit horrible deeds to keep him alive.
* DeathByIrony: [[spoiler: If you encourage her to keep doing what she does, you eventually find her sitting in an alleyway with a cracking Soul Gem, apparently damaged by one of her targets. She then witches out, either from despair or magic exhaustion, exactly like her first victim did in her backstory.]]
* {{Expy}}: Of Chihaya Kisaragi from ''VideoGame/TheIdolMaster'', who also had a deceased younger brother. Her HP at max level is "7272", a reference to a fandom meme about Chihaya's ACupAngst.
* LaserBlade: Her weapons are a pair of double-bladed swords of magical flames... In other words, lightsabers. Strangely enough, all of her attacks are water element.
* SerialKiller: Since witches don't always drop Grief Seeds, she began killing magical girls and stealing their Grief Seeds. By the time we see her, she was already responsible for a string of magical girl killings in a nearby town.
* TragicVillain: To save her brother, she was forced to give up more and more of her life, including her love for singing, and eventually resort to murder. Ultimately, she was just another victim of the magical girl system.

[[folder:Leo Cattlezia]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leocattlezia.png]]
An original character. Leo is a rare example of a young boy who had enough emotional potential to make a contract with Kyubey. The young master of a wealthy family. His daily life consisted of little more than studying and preparing to inherit the family business, making him feel that something was missing. His only solace was chatting with the family maid, Maria, the only one he could confide in.\\\
One day, he returned home to find his parents and the family maids - Maria among them - lying dead in a pool of blood. The perpetrator, a maid he was unfamiliar with, stood in front of them with a dazed smile on her face. Angered, he swore revenge on the maid and ran off. Afterward, he was contacted by Kyubey, who told him that the maid was a magical girl that he created. Kyubey told him that since his magical potential was low, he needed to wish for a specific way to enhance his combat ability if he wanted to revenge. After wishing for the ability to greatly enhance his powers for short periods of time, Leo set out to find his enemy.
----
* AwesomeButImpractical: Leo has two Magia, Dark Bringer (all-target) and Demon Spear (single-target). He can use Spirits Blast to supercharge both, but doing so uses up ''40% of his HP'', preventing it from being used frequently.
* CastFromHitPoints: Leo has a unique mechanism called Spirits Blast, which adds a follow-up attack to all of his magics and Magia if you hold the Z button, at the cost of some of his HP. This is a direct reference to the Blast Caliber mechanism from ''VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny''.
* {{Expy}}: Of Leon Magnus from ''VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny''. Many of his magics are GratuitousEnglish versions of Leon's Artes (Kuushuuken -> Air Raid, Kogahazan -> Tiger Fang, etc.) Also, Leon was close to a maid named Marian.
* KnightlySwordAndShield: His weapons of choice.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Leo's primary goal was to find and kill [[spoiler:Tyrtir]] for murdering her parents and Maria.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: [[spoiler: If Homura helps Tyrtir, he'll agree to let her live until after they defeat Walpurgisnacht. After that, he won't complain even if you have them both in the party.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tyrtir Sphingray]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tyrtir.png]]
A semi-original character. She was based on Tyrfing, a character from the game ''VideoGame/PhantomOfTheKill'', which once ran a crossover collaboration event with ''Madoka Magica''. She was reimagined as a native resident of Madoka's world in this game.\\\
After losing her family in an accident, Tyrtir was taken in by the old master of a rich family and became a maid at his family mansion. Unfortunately, the mansion was attacked by a witch one day, who killed many of the maids. Tyrtir managed to escape and was approached by Kyubey. Seeing that she did not have the courage to fight, Kyubey suggested that she wish to be braver. Convinced, Tyrtir wished to have the fighting spirit to overcome fear.\\\
Unfortunately, after defeating the witch, Tyrtir turned on the humans, slaughtering her fellow maids, the old master, and his wife. Just then, the young master returned home and saw the gruesome scene. Before Tyrtir could explain, he swore revenge on her and ran off. Kyubey appeared and explained that she may have had a secret urge to kill all along, previously buried by her cowardice but now set free because of her wish. He then bluntly reminded her to be careful of her murderous urges when she transforms before leaving, leaving her alone and helpless
----
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: According to Kyubey, rather than giving her a new personality from scratch, her wish took the path of least resistance and just unshackled the murderous urge that's always been inside of her, causing her to become uncontrollably violent when transformed.
* TheBerserker: According to Kyubey, once she starts fighting, she will not stop until everything around her is dead. Whenever her health becomes critically low, she activates a passive skill called Berserk, which buffs her but causes her to act automatically.
* HighOnHomicide: She greatly enjoys killing when transformed.
* JekyllAndHyde: Normally a timid and nice girl, she becomes a murderous BloodKnight whenever she transforms.
* MeaningfulName: She is (obviously) named after the cursed sword Tyrfing, which would result in someone's death every time it was drawn.
* VideoGameCaringPotential: [[spoiler: After defeating her and learning about her problem, Homura has the option to send her to [[VideoGame/MagiaRecordPuellaMagiMadokaMagicaSideStory a Coordinator in Kamihama]] to get her Soul Gem tuned, which greatly limits her berserker tendencies.]]

[[folder:Pia Undo]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/piaundo.png]]
A semi-original character. She was originally Wind Pier, a character from the game ''VideoGame/DivineGate''. When the game ran a Madoka collaboration event, she made a contract with Kyubey and became the magical girl Pia Undo. For this game, she was reimagined as a native resident of Madoka's world.\\\
A young girl who lost her parents to Matasaburo before being saved by Yachiyo Nanami, she then moved to Asunaro City to live with her grandparents. Just as she was about to convince herself that she had imagined the witch, she was attacked by Hungrige Pumpe, but saved by Yuuri Asuka, who told her about witches, magical girls, and the contract with Kyubey. However, she was saddened that she could not see Kyubey, wanting to take revenge on witches for the sake of her parents.\\\
After witnessing Yuuri's confrontation with Kyoko, Pia was angered that there were magical girls who would sacrifice ordinary people to familiars. Later, she witnesses Yuuri's transformation into a witch and subsequent death at the hands of the Pleiades Saints, leaving her confused and scared. Days later, she encountered Yuuri again and approached her, unaware that [[DeadPersonImpersonation she's not the Yuuri she knew]]. Sensing a fellow avenger, Yuuri told her about the connection between magical girls and witches and directed her to Mitakihara, where she finally managed to see Kyubey. After making a wish for the ability to steal magical power, she vowed to destroy all witches, familiars, and magical girls she encountered.
----
* BackStab: When she first appears, [[spoiler: she disguises herself as Hitomi and helps Homura with clearing a witch barrier. If you defeat the witch when she's still active, she'll insta-kill Homura with a stab in the back, causing a NonStandardGameOver.]]
* BlowYouAway / RazorWind: She primarily attacks using wind-based magic. [[spoiler:She can also reflect light using wind to change her appearance.]]
* EnergyAbsorption: Due to her desire to wipe out both witches and magical girls, she wished for the ability to steal magical power from both, allowing her to quickly corrupt an enemy's Soul Gem.
* HolographicDisguise: In her first appearance, [[spoiler: she uses her wind magic to disguise herself as Hitomi, in order to gain Homura's trust. This can be toggled on and off once she joins, presumably as fan service for people who want to see magical girl Hitomi.]]
* KnightTemplar: After losing her parents and seeing the evil that magical girls were capable of, she was radicalized by Yuuri and became a violent magical girl killer.
* PositiveFriendInfluence: [[spoiler: If you recruited Asumi beforehand, she'll convince Pia to take a less violent path. This is the only way to recruit her.]]
* ReimaginingTheArtifact: Originally, the mask on Pia's outfit represented the gas mask she wore to hide her face due to her [[ShrinkingViolet social anxiety]]. Here, she has a much more headstrong personality, and the mask instead represents [[spoiler: [[MasterOfDisguise her disguise ability]].]]

[[folder:Asumi Kanna]]
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/asumi_kanna_5.png]]
One of the more unusual characters in this game, Asumi Kanna was a magical girl created for a 2channel hoax thread before the release of ''Rebellion'', as a magical girl who would supposedly appear in the movie. The hoax was so successful that Creator/GenUrobuchi himself clarified on Twitter that she's not real, [[ApprovalOfGod even though he liked the character concept]].\\\
A primary schooler raised by an overworked single mother, Asumi woke up one day to find that her mother had died in her sleep. She was taken in by her relatives, but they had no love for her and only adopted her to save face. Abused at home, bullied at school, and rejected by her father, Asumi was approached by Kyubey and wished to bring misfortune to everyone around her.
----
* BullyingADragon: She attempts to ambush Homura and steal her Grief Seeds. Homura sensed her presence long before she struck and easily dodged it, but offered to let her go after seeing that she was just a kid. Instead of leaving, she decides to fight Homura head-on, with predictable results.
%%* DeliberatelyCuteChild: She often uses this to get what she wants.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She first appears as a nameless NPC girl on a park bench, though the fact that she has a mugshot should tell you that she's important.
* EpicFlail: Her weapon of choice is a morning star.
* TheFarmerAndTheViper: After failing to ambush Homura, she is saved by Elise because of her resemblance to Elise's deceased younger sister. [[spoiler: She "thanks" her by wounding her and later Komachi in order to steal their Grief Seeds.]]
* FreudianExcuse: Being used and abused by everyone in her life caused her to develop her ChronicBackstabbingDisorder and sadistic tendencies.
* HeelFaceTurn / HeelFaceDoorSlam: [[spoiler: After being saved from Homura by Elise for the second time, she begins to have second thoughts about her actions and telepathically asks Homura to arrange a meeting with Elise. Homura can either agree, in which case Elise redeems her... Or she can lure her away and kill her.]]
* MasterOfIllusion: The power she gained from her wish. Notably, this is the only form of magical attack she knows.
* {{Sadist}}: [[spoiler: After betraying Elise for the second time, she brutally beats an already immobilized Komachi while laughing at Elise for trusting her again. She also states that she plans on killing Komachi for no reason other than to watch Elise suffer. Fortunately, Homura stops her.]]
* StartOfDarkness: The first thing she did with her new powers was to murder her father by making him walk into a speeding car. It's implied that she then murdered her abusive uncle and aunt and her school bullies.

[[folder:Masked Sayaka]]
[[quoteright:202:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/maskedsayaka.png]]

A version of Sayaka who wears a strange mask and uses a gun for some reason... Or rather, Lord Humungus from ''Film/MadMax2TheRoadWarrior'', who inexplicably appeared in place of Sayaka when [[spoiler:Homura was trapped in the witch of dreams' barrier]]. He was included in this game due to his similarly inexplicable appearance in the [[https://wiki.puella-magi.net/File:EC02.jpg end card]] of Madoka Episode 2, while the name "Masked Sayaka" likely came from Sayaka's appearance in the Concept Movie Trailer.\\\
Funnily enough, his element is water, just like the real Sayaka.
----
* BadassNormal: He has absolutely no magics or magia, and his only attack is shooting a gun, which he does automatically.
* LethalJokeCharacter: Despite being obviously a joke character, his gun actually deals pretty good damage, though since he's only available in the post-game and even then only in [[spoiler: Dream France]], you most likely won't need him by then.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Played for laughs. In [[spoiler: Homura's dream]], everyone treats the fact that Sayaka is a muscular masked man as completely normal.

!Walking Spoiler
[[folder:??? (Unmarked Spoilers!)]]
!!Devil Homura
[[quoteright:544:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/devilhomura.png]]
The devil herself, or at least one of her avatars. After the events of ''Rebellion'', she was sent to investigate the TAS world due to the Law of Cycles' inability to interfere with it and the continued existence of witches.\\\
To prevent interfering with the world too much, she stays in Itzli's barrier, which causes everyone to forget what they see there when they exit. Unfortunately, this allowed Itzli to read her memories and use them to create many powerful minions.
----
* BoringInsult: If Sayaka and Mami use Total Heal during the fight with her, she finds them boring and fully restores her own health.
* DartboardOfHate: Presumably, she was the one who stabbed a knife into every picture of Kyubey in the barrier.
* DimensionalTraveler: She came here from the ''Rebellion'' universe, and had previously been to the ''Magia Record'' universe, explaining why there were copies of Iroha and pals in Itzli's barrier.
* DungeonShop: After you beat her, she decides to help you by selling and fusing items to save you the time of leaving for resupply and coming back.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She can be seen observing Homura when she first enters Itzli's barrier, if the presence of the roughed-up Kyubey didn't tip you off yet.
* EvilCounterpart: Having sealed the power of the Law of Cycles into her Dark Orb, she has dark versions of many of Ultimate Madoka's skills.
* FigureItOutYourself: When Homura asks her for help with Itzli, she refuses, saying that the problems of this universe must be solved by its residents. Though she does join the fight when Itzli transforms into Fake Law of Cycles in a last-ditch effort to survive, simply because [[ThisIsUnforgivable she cannot tolerate it mimicking Madoka.]]
* TheGadfly: It seems that becoming the devil has given her shades of this. She often has a mocking smirk on her face. After defeating her, if you talk to her and then quit without selecting any option, she teases Homura by asking if she came here just to see her face, even though they have the same face.
* IShallTauntYou: In the fight with her, she sometimes taunts you. If you attack her after she does it, she'll deliver a powerful counterattack. Her playable version can do this as well, with the added effect of forcing enemies to target her.
* MageMarksman: Though her primary weapons are the Dark Orb and a darkened version of Madoka's bow (a weapon from ''Madoka Online''), she still keeps her guns and explosives and uses them in some attacks.
* MagicKiss: Her boss version has an attack where she drains EP from a party member with a kiss.
* NobleDemon: She's still (a portion of) the same Devil Homura who usurped and imprisoned Ultimate Madoka, but her role in this game is almost entirely helpful.
* OneHitKill: Her boss version has an attack that insta-kills anyone who's stunned. The playable version reworked it into a passive skill that makes single-target attacks insta-kill enemies with less than 20% HP, making her invaluable against [[DamageSpongeBoss bosses with tons of HP]].
* OneWingedAngel: During her boss fight, when she loses 50% of her HP, she unfurls her wings. At this point, the ground turns purple and the screen starts shaking as she starts charging up a powerful attack.
* PhysicalGod: She's a portion of Devil Homura's power taken form. Even when holding back, she's still one of the most powerful characters in the entire game.
* PowerGivesYouWings: Her ultimate attack is Black Wings of Divine Corrosion, an even more powerful version of Homura's Black Wings of Corrosion that inflicts serious debuffs and the Curse ailment.
* SeenItAll: After everything she's been through, she's completely unphased by H.N. Elly's trauma playback and provides Homura with hints on multiple witches. Though even she admitted she's never seen anything like this before when faced with the talking Anthony in the secret mustache room.
* TakeUpMySword: Of a sort. After Itzli was defeated for good, she acknowledged that Homura managed to accomplish something she never could: successfully protecting Madoka and overcoming Walpurgisnacht, and asked her to keep on protecting her Madoka.
* TakingTheBullet: In the bonus room fight against her and Ultimate Madoka, as long as she's standing, she'll shield Madoka from any normal and magic attack with her own body.
* TeleportSpam: Her version of Head Shot starts the same as Homura's: sending an enemy flying into the air before following with a point-blank pistol shot. However, she then repeatedly teleports up to the enemy and fires more point-blank shots at them.
* TimeMaster: She has all of Homura's time powers, including {{Time St|andsStill}}op, Clock Up, Clock Down, and Clock Up Full Force. The last one is especially useful since her all-target variable attack allows her to very quickly build up EP, allowing her to keep attacking indefinitely in ideal circumstances.
* WillfullyWeak: Halfway through Itzli's barrier, she challenges Homura to a fight to see if she's strong enough for what's beyond. She promises to keep her powers down to magical girl levels, though her fight is still anything but easy.
