* KickTheDog: In the manga when the Generation of Miracles obliterated the team of Kuroko's childhood friend he coldly dismisses it afterwards by stating that Meiko was too weak anyways. Not to mention, he is the one who suggested to allow Meiko to score 11 points for them to defeat with a 100-point difference.]]

* BaritoneOfStrength: As the ace of the Generation of Miracles, Aomine is a terrifyingly talented and skilled player, and that skill, as well as his rowdy attitude, are matched by a fittingly deep voice.

Formerly the shooting guard (and vice-captain) of the Teikou Middle School Basketball Team, he is the [[ImprobableAimingSkills best]] [[ArcherArchetype shooter]] in the Generation of Miracles. He was the second member of the GOM to appear.

* MeaningfulName: The second kanji in his surname (瀬 = shoal) reflects his shallow personality. It is really easy to guess his personality and what is he thinking about. He admits it himself that he is no adult and doesn’t want to think about the hard things. Also, a shoal often connects two lands. He connects Kagami and the whole Seirin into the idea of how powerful the Generation of Miracles is.

** His style of basketball revolves around doing things that should not be possible, but are crazy cool.

** Not so affectionately: [[JustForPun Ahomine]].

The protagonist of the manga - [[CharacterTitle pretty obvious given his name is in the title]] - though not an official member, he was the [[SixthRanger Phantom Sixth Player]] of the Generation of Miracles. Together with Kagami and the team of Seirin, he now aims to bring all of them down to make them enjoy playing basketball again.

* CharacterTitle: The manga is about him and his basketball style.

** His team also uses this against him to drag him into watching a preliminary game, by using a magazine as bait to catch him in a trap. They later threaten to burn one of his magazines to make him show up to practice.

* FinalExam: Serves as one to Seirin High thanks to his Perfect Copy, mimicking and combining the abilities of all the other Miracles, putting everything that Seirin learned from facing them throughout the series to the test.

* SlasherSmile: He's rather fond of these, especially when he finally finds a WorthyOpponent.

* AffectionateNickname: Aomine calls him "Tetsu" and Momoi calls him "Tetsu-kun". Kise calls him "Kurokocchi".

** The only time we seem him truly angry and not just mildly annoyed or disappointed is when [[spoiler:Momoi has him pulled off the team in the Summer cup semifinals where he would've otherwise played against Rakuzan, and by extension Akashi]], who would've finally been the WorthyOpponent he was looking for.

* BadassBaritone: The most formidable shooter of the Generation of Miracles, he's portrayed with a fittingly deep voice thanks to Creator/DaisukeOno.

* BadassBaritone: Has immense skills and ability, along with a deep voice to back it up. The English dub also [[spoiler: has the voice of Akashi's SplitPersonality a notch deeper than his original self.]]

* BigEater: He's almost always seen with some sort of snack in hand. It's shown when eating regular food that his portions are huge, though it makes sense for an athlete of his size.

** Brings this trope to an insane extreme with his ability to hit ''objects in motion''— while in middle school, he shot a box of popsicle sticks at a purse-snatcher who was ''riding away on a scooter''.

* FemininityFailure: Like Riko, she makes honey-soaked lemons to give to her team during the break of the match against Seirin. However, instead of slicing the lemons, which would allow for them to thoroughly soak in the honey, ''she leaves the lemons whole''. She is outdone by a male member on her team.

** The anime depicts him as being capable of ''gymnastic flips on a ladder'' on a normal day.

* PintSizedPowerhouse: He's only 2 inches taller than Kuroko, but he can still dunk like a champ.
