* GracefulLoser: [[spoiler:She takes her loss to Nishinotouin (due to Kirari's interference) and subsequent demotion to "house pet" scarily well, telling Suzui how amazing Kirari was for apparently ''custom building the entire wing of the school'' she played in, and now she badly wants a match with her. Conversely, she also believes in being a humble victor, even encouraging Sumeragi to not talk down to Manyuuda after they won against him ([[KickThemWhileTheyAreDown and he was being taken away in an ambulance]].]]

A NewTransferStudent at Hyakkaou Private Academy who quickly throws the established order into chaos with her compulsive gambling. Gambling is SeriousBusiness to Yumeko, but not in the way one might expect - she's truly unpredictable, not caring whether she wins or loses, only wanting to lose herself in the insanity of putting everything on the line. Her current goal is having a match with Kirari Momobami, though of course she isn't going to turn down challenges from the rest of the Student Council along the way...

* AnimalMotifs: Her schoolmates compare her to a snake, and is even drawn with the sideways pupils seen on multiple varieties of snakes when she's going especially nuts for gambling. Further the 蛇 / "Ja" character in 蛇喰 / "Jabami" can be read as "snake".
* BatmanGambit: She regularly analyzes other players' habits and schemes, and sets them up to lose if they continue through with their normal actions. However, if they abandon their schemes, they can have a shot at actually defeating her, which to the latter only adds to the excitement of the game.

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Jabami's entire morality system seems to be based around gambling, with greater risk equated to good and lesser to bad. While she can replicate "normal" behavior and morality as needed, they have seemingly no actual meaning to her. She also doesn't mind cheaters so long as they are discreet; otherwise, she'll call them out not so much because it is bad as it was predictable (and thus boring). For example, she appreciated her match with Saotome on her first day enough to let slide the latter's ¥8.8 million debt to her, and even gives Suzui, whom the latter used as her lynchpin for her gambit, a ¥5 million tip. Conversely, she found Sumeragi boring after the latter refused a third round with all her nails as wager, and dislikes Ikishima for [[spoiler:rigging her game so sate her DeathSeeker tendencies]].

* ManicPixieDreamGirl: {{Deconstructed|Trope}}. Her transfer is what helped save Suzui from his debts to Saotome, and even helps him reconcile to Saotome after they become a clique. That said, Jabami loves gambling ''much more'', and both Suzui and Saotome cannot help but get sucked into her mad gambits.

* MoneyIsNotPower: In the debt recollection day, [[spoiler:she willingly foregoes the chance to clear her debt to Nishinotouin just to see a fellow "house pet" stand for herself, and realizes money is more or less meaningless to her]].

* PhotographicMemory: Shown to have a phenomenal memory, being able to memorize the minor sets of defects on the back of 52 out of 104 different playing cards and their corresponding faces in a few minutes.
