Subverted because she eventually did get demoted for her… eccentricity.

* InterplayOfSexAndViolence: Not that she has anything against sex without violence, mind you, but her BloodKnight tendencies are sometimes taken to a… disturbing level. Like in the Special Short Story of volume 11, where she hugs Grabel and gives her a loving, intense look as she talks about ''how much she wants to have a death match with her''. The narration even notes that “Killing each other or an act of love, any of the two could possibly happen after this”.

* PsychoLesbian: Averted. While her extreme BloodKnight tendencies make her look totally psychotic sometimes, her love for Grabel is portrayed as a redeeming quality. In fact, it is the first sign the audience receives that this BloodKnight isn’t completely evil.

Her Magitech Armor 'Teros' has several different abilities to MindRape her foes. She can read minds, manipulate the senses of the target, create illusions and even mind control people into becoming her slaves.

The supervisor of Nayuta Lab and the person in charge of Ataraxia’s technology. She helps Reiri coordinate Amaterasu’s missions and oversees the construction of new equipment to help the HHG users.

* CantCatchUp: Her Hybrid Gear isn’t part of the "-ros" series, and thus lacks an Immoral Weapon. Naturally, after her introductory arc is over, [[OvershadowedByAwesome she never gets as many awesome moments as the members of Amaterasu do.]]

The names of the remaining 5 members are Sharon Cunningham, Brigit Arclight, Leila Howitt, Clementine Barrows and Henrietta Mackintosh.

* FlatCharacter: They all have exactly one personality trait. Their limited screen time really doesn’t allow them to develop further.
* ForgottenFallenFriend: Brigit is killed by Valdy at the end of volume 3. Volume 4 spends a couple of paragraphs to tell the reader how this affected her teammates. Volume 5 and onwards, nobody seems to remember her. * NoSell: After becoming a god, Nayuta has so much magic power that when Grace tries to use [[EnergyAbsorption Harvest]] on her, she reaches the limit of energy her body can take before Nayuta is even bothered by her attack. The same thing happens later with the [[spoiler: Deus ex Machina]].

A prominent member of Amaterasu. Aine is a mysterious girl who has no memory of her childhood. Her HHG is called 'Zeros' one of the 'Ros' series. It’s incredibly fast, but has no weapons, so Aine fights using her bare fists. Her Immoral Weapon is a very powerful particle cannon called “[[{{BFG}} Pulverizer]]".

* TheAce: All her experience fighting with her bare fists means that she is easily the best fighter in the series in terms of close-range combat. Awakening her Immoral Weapon means that now she also has a devastating weapon to use if she ever needs to fight at distance. And that’s assuming she won’t simply destroy everything in an instant with her [[StoryBreakerPower Forbidden Weapon]].

Aine tries her best to find a solution that would benefit both sides, but she can’t really decide which world she belongs to and the inner conflict stops her from making any real progress until Kizuna beats some sense into her again.
* CoolBigSis: [[spoiler: To her little sister Grace, at least when they were younger]]
* {{Deuteragonist}}: After Kizuna, she is the most important character in the story. Becomes even more obvious after she recovers her memories and goes back to Batlantis. For 2 whole volumes the narration keeps switching between following Kizuna’s adventure and telling the story of Aine’s identity crisis.

* GoodOldFisticuffs: Zeros has no weapons, so Aine fights using her fists. This leads to her being OvershadowedByAwesome, since she needs to defeat MechaMooks one by one, [[RealityEnsues while Hayuru and Yurishia can use their weapons to slaughter them en masse.]] It’s the main reason she wishes to get her Immoral Weapon as fast as possible.

* IJustWantToBeBadass: Since Aine doesn’t remember anything from before she was taken in by Dr. Nayuta, she feels that using a Hybrid Gear is the only thing she can do. As a result, she really hates how her teammates are always [[OvershadowedByAwesome overshadowing]] her, and is constantly pushing herself more than it’s healthy for her body. Kizuna helps her get over it.

* LineOfSightName: She was named Chidorigafuchi because that’s the place where she was found.

* NoSocialSkills: It’s hard to have those when as far as you remember you spend your whole life locked inside a lab. Before Kizuna arrived, most of Aine’s “social interactions” consisted of her either boasting her skills or snarking at people.

* PowerDyesYourHair: The hair of the members of Aine's royal family of the Batlantis Empire, including Aine, turns pink after they come in contact with large amounts of magic power. Since the amount of magic power in the air of Atlantis is much higher than in “Lemuria”, their hair permanently turns pink if they live there long enough.
* PuppetKing: A complicated example. Grace fully plans on giving Aine her title of empress and all the power that comes with it, but due to her insecurities and a bit of an identity crisis, Aine mostly just goes along with whatever Grace or Zelshione tells her to do, and overall doesn’t look like someone who actually has power.

* StoryBreakerPower: Zeros can use a Forbidden Weapon called Code Breaker that can deconstruct any type of {{Magitek}}, be it a Heart Hybrid Gear or one of the MechaMooks. If Aine had not lost all of her memories, there wouldn’t have been much of a plot.

A beautiful young woman who was once the Ace of the American team of HHG users, 'Masters' before shifting to Ataraxia and becoming part of Amaterasu. Her HHG is called 'Cross' another of the 'Ros' series. Yurishia is a specialist at long range combat, but ironically her Immoral Weapon “[[{{BFG}} Cross Head]]” has a range of only one meter despite its devastating power.

* BeamSpam: Yurishia's Hybrid Gear can deliver these by firing her particle cannons and the “Differential Frames” on her shoulders at the same time. And boy, does she loves delivering those.

* BoobsOfSteel: Has the biggest bust among the members of Amaterasu, and her title of [[TheAce America’s Ace]] is definitely not just for show.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Twice. First she is brainwashed by Zelshione and made to attack Kizuna (though that was AdaptedOut of the Anime). Several volumes later, [[spoiler: she gets brainwashed by Osiris into believing she is her daughter.]]
* BrokenPedestal: For Scarlett. The girl used to idolize her. Until that one mission where Yurishia send her and the other Masters into a battle against an A-class enemy while she took care of an army of small fries. And then she showed up right on time to finish the weakened A-class and received all the glory. The fact that she refused to explain her actions didn’t help.
** RebuiltPedestal: Turns out that the A-class enemy showing up in the place Yurishia sent the Masters to was just a sad coincidence. She was worried that Scarlett’s missiles would hit the city if she missed her shots, so she lied by saying that the enemies had changed direction to ensure that Scarlett wouldn’t have to take part of this battle. When she discovered that an A-class enemy really appeared there, she disobeyed orders to go rescue her teammates even though she was exhausted from taking an entire squad by herself. Scarlett can barely hold back her tears when she discovers this.

* IdenticalStranger: [[spoiler: She looks just like Osiris’s long dead daughter, Isis. This causes problems.]]
* KissingUnderTheInfluence: Not kissing, but something to the same effect. [[spoiler: During the climax of volume 7 Yurishia and Hayuru are seen [[LesYay intensely groping each other]] thanks to the aphrodisiac effect of Kizuna’s Connective Hybrid with Aine and Grace. There isn’t any other scene in the series that implies they are anything but straight.]]

* ProperLady : PlayedForDrama, a flashback in Volume 9 revealed that Yurishia’s parents raised her to become one, ignoring what she actually wanted for herself and leaving her pretty dissatisfied with her life.

A member of both Amaterasu and the morals committee, Hayuru has a very harsh and strict personality. Her HHG is called 'Neros', another of the 'Ros' series. Her weapons are a Katana and 8 AttackDrones shaped like blades. Her Immoral Weapon is a huge double bladed sword called “[[{{BFS}} Gladius]]”.

* AbsurdlySharpBlade: Her Immoral Weapon named Gladius. The narration of the novels implies that it doesn’t cut the enemy, the blade cuts ''space itself'' to bisect the target into two.

* KissingUnderTheInfluence: Not kissing, but something to the same effect. Nayuta planned to install Eros’s Core in Reiri, but since her daughter didn’t show any aptitude for it, she presumed Reiri didn’t have any compatibility with Hybrid Gears Cores at all. In reality, the process failed because Eros is a Core exclusive for men. Alas, by the time Reiri discovers that she does have aptitude, there isn’t any Core left in Ataraxia.]]

* ParentalNeglect: Nayuta didn’t flat-out abandon her like she did with Kizuna (as far as we know), but that doesn’t mean Reiri had a better relationship with her mother.
* ParentalSubstitute: The closest thing to a parental figure Kizuna had after his mother kicked him out of her life. It’s the main reason behind his [[BigBrotherWorship Big Sister Worship]].
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Reiri refuses to allow personal feelings to get in the way of her mission, but she is never too harsh with her brother or his companions. She won’t cut him any slack just because they are siblings, but she also will never give him a cruel order.

* AdaptationalWimp: Zigzagged in the last episode of the anime adaptation. On one hand, the anime removed Kizuna’s fight with a BrainwashedAndCrazy Yurishia, where Kizuna took the SuperSpeed he got by copying Aine’s Zeros and elevated it to a level where he is basically moving ''at the speed of light''. It also didn’t show him getting a good hit on Zelshione with nothing but his {{Determinator}} credentials. But on the other hand, the anime also gave him the ability to draw on the power of the girls without Climax Hybrid by sheer PowerOfLove, something he never did in the light novel.
* AllLovingHero: Becomes this in the later volumes of the light novel after getting a chance to see the conflict from the other side and discovering his foes aren’t as vile as he thought they were.

* BarrierWarrior: Heart Hybrid Gears can only show their true potential when they are installed in females. However, because males can’t use them to their full strength, their Hybrid Count is consumed slower, so they can keep their barriers up for longer. So whenever Kizuna is not fighting with his PowerCopying ability, he is usually acting as a living shield for his teammates. In the light novel Kizuna really struggled during their BeamOWar, and he was only able to deliver the final blow with Hayuru’s help. In the anime Kizuna wins by himself with Hayuru showing up only after Grabel was already defeated.
