* AmbiguouslyHuman: Well, Ambiguously AnimateInanimateObject in this case. While the TV might at first seem just a normal TV (beyond the fact he's alive, but that's far from weird for this game), the fact he can [[spoiler:shoot a laser]] and the fact that [[spoiler:destroying him doesn't see, to count as an actual death to him]] seem to hint that he might be more than just a living TV.

[[folder:Oscar the Trashcan/[[spoiler:Keeper of Shadows]]]]
The house's trashcan.
----
* AffablyEvil: He's pretty friendly towards Pierre and [[spoiler:will let him enter and exit Purgatory any time. This changes in the Bad and Secret Endings however...]]
* AmbiguouslyEvil: While Oscar [[spoiler:definitely enjoys trapping others in Purgatory]], it's hard to tell whether he's really malicious or not, [[spoiler:especially considering his intervention in the Bad Ending.]]
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Oscar's morality is weird, to say the least. He'll gladly [[spoiler:trap others in Purgatory but will let Pierre exit it any time. However, he will trap Pierre for all eternity if he attempts to enter the basement without having finished chores first and will do the same in the Bad Ending, having Pierre face the furniture he killed.]]
* EldritchAbomination: Oscar might seem like a normal trashcan at first, [[spoiler:but he's actually a shapeshifting, nighly-omnipresent entity that controls Purgatory.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler:In the Bad Ending, he'll punish Pierre for his crimes by dragging him in Purgatory and having him judged by his victims.]]

* BreakableWeapon: Well, not really a weapon, but Stooly can be used only for a limited amount of times before he inevitably breaks.

* AnimateInanimateObject: Literally every character in the game plays this trope, [[spoiler:including Pierre and his family.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Pierre]]
The game's main protagonist, who was left home by his mother to house sit.
----
* TheReveal: The three main endings reveal that [[spoiler:Pierre himself is a living object. A chair, to be exact.]]
* TheVoiceless: Throughout the entire game, Pierre is never seen speaking.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Stooly]]
The house's stool.
----
* BestFriend: [[spoiler:The "Bad Ending" reveals him to be this to Pierre, which makes killing him even worse.]]
* BreakableWeapon: Well, not really a weapon, but Stooly can be used only for a limited amount of times before he inevitably breaks.
* {{Deuteragonist}}: Technically can be considered this since he more likely than not will end up being the most used tool by the player due to him allowing to reach zones you normally couldn't reach.
* SuddenlySpeaking: While Stooly usually only makes noises of exclamation when being stepped on by Pierre, [[spoiler:he properly speaks in the "Bsd Ending".]]

[[folder:TV]]
The house's TV.

* AmbiguousSituation: [[spoiler:When the TV destroys himself after Pierre completed job, is he really dead since he acts as if this wasn't him killing himself but merely going away? By proxy, if Pierre falls onto the TV after returning from the Moon, he has really killed him?]]
* BigBad: The closest thing the game has to one, being the direct reason of the "Bad Ending" route since he's the one who tells Pierre to kill the other furniture.
* FauxAffablyEvil: The TV acts friendly towards Pierre, but it's clear he knows what he's making him do is wrong and is manipulating him.
* ForTheEvulz: There seemingly is no reason for the TV asking Pierre to destroy the other furniture. Sure, it's possible that he's trying to get him in troubles with his mother or [[spoiler:knew Pierre'd end up Purgatory]], but even then there doesn't seem to be any real reason for this beyond him being an evil bastard.
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:Ultimately counts as this since his it's ambiguous whether he actually dies or not and, unlike Pierre, he doesn't end up in Purgatory.]]
