[[header:The Khaos Brigade]]

Established by Ophis, the Khaos Brigade is headed by Katerea Leviathan, Creuserey Asmodeus, Shalba Beelzebub, and Rizevim Livan Lucifer, all of whom are descendants of the original Four Great Satans. The brigade intends to remove the Great Red, one of the most powerful Dragons in existence known as the True Dragon, from the Dimensional Gap. The brigade is also dissatisfied by the growing alliance of various mythological powers and seek to cause chaos in our world. Few people dared to challenge them, save for the current Four Great Satans and the alliance between the Angels, the Fallen Angels, and the Devils.

* DyingRace: As of the end of volume 11, Rizevim, Vali and [[spoiler:Ingvild]] are the only known remaining pure-blood descendants of the original Satans still alive and it would seem the species is on the verge of extinction. There's still continuation of the original Satans in Vali and [[spoiler:Ingvild]], but chances that any remaining pure-blooded descendants are going to be genetically thinned out later on. And with Rizevan having already passed away, Rizevim dying five months before the Azazel Cup ''and'' Vali considering fighting BetterThanSex, they're the only options available.

The descendant of the original Asmodeus who appears to challenge Azazel for causing Katerea's death in Volume 6.

* EvilWearsBlack: He's decked out in an all black uniform and serves as one of the Old Satan Faction's leaders.

* ObviouslyEvil: Shalba has a deep voice, black armor and has a sinister, manipulative personality.

However, he is now the Vanguard to Indra after Sun Wukong stepped down, and with Indra's [[WildCard nature]], it's hard to pin if he will remain an ally]]. He even notes the {{irony}} of it.

** SphereOfPower: The True Longinus' Balance Breaker, Polar Night Longinus Chakra Valdine has SEVEN of them, each with a different power and name.

* WorthyOpponent: He praises both Issei and Kiba for being able to at least match him and tells the both of them to get stronger. He also thinks of Vali as such as well because the last time they fought, it was exhilarating.

* ArtificialHuman: Made from different patterns of genetics of those who carried the blood of the original Siegfried to use Gram.

* WeCanRuleTogether: Offers Ajuka to fight against Sirzechs since he's the only one who could put up a fight with the latter. His answer? Wipe out ''all the devils'' that were present ''without even standing up''.

* DeadlyUpgrade: Injected herself with ''two'' Chaos Breaks when injecting with one was already deadly to begin with. She still gets curb stomped by Issei who at this point doesn't even have his Evil Pieces inside of him.

A boy who also has possession of the Longinus, Annihilation Maker and is also a descendant of Creator/LeonardoDaVinci.

* LuredIntoATrap: In Volume 19, she tries, once again, to interrupt a battle that was on the verge of concluding between team [=DxD=] and the rebel exorcists. Only this time, Rossweisse and Tobio Ikuse (Slash Dog) had prepared the proper counter behind-the-scenes for Walburga's infiltration by blocking off her means of escaping the battleground barrier. No longer able to teleport away, she is finally defeated through the combined efforts of Issei and Xenovia, and is later sent to Hell for interrogation.

* {{Abusive Parent|s}}: He happily admits brutalizing Vali's father, Rizevan, and ordering the guy to do the same to Vali. He then laughs while admitting that he killed his own son for being scared of Vali's retaliation. What's worse is that in Volume 21 and 22, it's revealed that Rizevim used Vali's mother as a hostage so that Vali would allow himself to be abused without resistance, and Vali's father would comply with the abuse. If either of them refused, she would be brutalized instead, and being a far more fragile ordinary human, the results are easy to imagine.

* CloudCuckoolander: He's kind of... off. It's hard to tell if he's [[ObfuscatingStupidity doing it on purpose or not,]] but either way he does a good job at [[{{Troll}} pissing people off]].

** This trope is pretty much his entire motivation for everything he does. He believes that Devils are [[AlwaysChaoticEvil supposed to cause trouble wherever they go]], and admits to setting out on his plans simply because he had nothing else to do with his long life. Each time he shows up, you can be sure that he's going to KickTheDog with a harder kick than the last time he did so. No act is off limits to him: turning the vampires who cooperated them into Evil Dragons and using them to ravage vampire society, ordering attacks in broad daylight, at a school, or even in the middle another battle, kidnapping Issei's parents and forcing him to transform into dragonic form in front of them, using his soul to unseal Trihexa, and setting up the potential for interdimensional war so that even if Trihexa is resealed, the good guys still have his mess to clean up.

* HumiliationConga: Volume 20 is just one long string of events for things to finally catch up to him, in addition to him suffering a RasputinianDeath. In order: Issei finally defeats him with his shiny power up, Lilith pulls off a HeelFaceTurn after both Vali and Azazel convince her to come with them for her to meet up with Issei, Ophis and Great Red, Vali finally gets to cut off his arm because Rizevim's too weakened to nullify his Sacred Gear, Apophis and Aži Dahāka pretty much tell him that he sucks, and finally Fafnir crushes his legs before he is EatenAlive for good. He ''still'' manages to get the last laugh after all that, because his soul was used to awake Trihexa.

* ObviouslyEvil: The intimidating presence, his devil powers and EvilLaugh indicate that he is definitely not a good guy.

* VillainousBreakdown: Between Fafnir haunting his dreams, his attempt to break Issei in front of his parents going nowhere, trying and failing to kill them as well when they ''still show affection for their son'', and Issei severely injuring him with a new power up, Rizevim loses it when he's cornered by Issei and Vali.
* VillainsWantMercy: Spent the entirety of his appearance in Volume 20 bouncing back and forth between begging for his life and screaming profanity at the protagonists when it looked like they wouldn't oblige, when he wasn't too busy being smug about brutalizing the friends and family of the protagonists and threatening them.

* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: In Volume 11, he attempts to take revenge on Issei and the devils for defeating him by manipulate Leonardo into using his Balance Breaker. Then, he kidnaps Ophis and despite being killed by Issei. In the end, Shalba ''does'' succeed in getting revenge on Issei at the same time he is killed off.

* WouldHurtAChild: In Volume 11, he declares his intent to kill everyone in the Underworld for rejecting his ideology, including children. This doesn't sit well with [[FriendToAllChildren Issei]], who is a superhero to those children as "Oppai Dragon."

* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: While Shalba's one of the main antagonists, it was his defeat at Issei's hands that caused him to become an insane wreck to the point that he's willing to force Leonardo to use his Balance Breaker and kidnap Ophis to destroy the Underworld and all devils.
* WouldHurtAChild: He has no discomfort putting a child's life in danger should they disagree with his ideologies.

* SoulPoweredEngine: The sub-species Balance Breaker of Incinerate Anthem, Incinerate Antiphona Calvario used half of Yamata-no-Orochi's soul to recreate, out of purple flames, the evil dragon tied to a large cross.]

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Their "heroic acts" are the very reason Qlippoth exists and why the events of volume 20 take place.

* AnArmAndALeg: Vali chops off Rizevim's arm after Issei defeats him.

If you are strong enough to be a threat, he will either send minions at you, or show up himself, cause as much damage, pain, and suffering as he can, and then run away laughing to somewhere you can't reach just so he can savor your impotent rage.

* OffingTheOffspring: He killed Vali's father for being scared of his grandson's retaliation.

* ProperlyParanoid: Rizevim was scared of Vali retaliating against him, so he killed Vali's father. His fear ultimately turns out to be proven right when Vali chased after him and cut his arm off.

* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Azazel runs her through with a light spear at the end of volume 4, causing her to disintegrate into dust. She's the first of the Old Satan Faction leaders to die.

Cruel, but since Diodora had been established as a {{sadist}}ic HopeCrusher to nuns, and openly gloated about his plan to rape and murder Asia to Issei's face, he gets absolutely NoSympathy in-universe and out.

* KickTheDog: Insults Sona while Heracles was stomping on her because Sona couldn't use her full power due to her faction protecting ''children.'' [[TheDogBitesBack This ends up being bad idea]].

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: He attempts to escape at the end of Volume 11, but it doesn't work out and he gets vaporized by Issei's attack.

* FamousLastWords: "How can the real [Satan] lose to a fake!?" as he's easily vaporized by Sirzechs.
