* BlackAndWhiteInsanity: When her EmotionSuppression breaks near the end of Season 1, she acts as an AnthropomorphicPersonification of {{Revenge}} the Hell Correspondence was made for, forcibly asking Tsugumi to damn Hajime simply because his wife wouldn't have gotten into an accident if they didn't break up, trying to make him look as bad as possible while disregarding that Ayumi herself was responsible too. She's also projecting her hatred towards his ancestor Sentaro onto Hajime, missing that if Sentaro wouldn't submit to TheNeedsOfTheMany rule he could have got killed too. When Hajime switches from NeverMyFault to ItsAllMyFault and Tsugumi forgives him, Ai snaps back to her usual self.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: While it is appropriately seen and treated as very horrific, Ai razing her village could be considered this considering how depraved and cruel the populace was. And while it's a plot point that throughout the centuries her victims are not always bad, the vast majority of them seen in the show are completely despicable monsters.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Usually. The targets are usually an AssholeVictim, but occasionally they have to KickTheDog, including taking the clients to Hell. [[EvenEvilHasStandards Not that they like doing either though.]]

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Going both ways with plain dog kicking. In ''Futakomori'', she cures Kihachi Kusumi's innocent daughter of her coma after he's set to be imprisoned for mass murder, condemning both to fates worse than death.

Character reaction.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: [[ShipSinking Yamawaro leaves Kikuri's side for Michiru,]] but when one spends all their time bossing someone around, hurling insults, and even physically abusing them, it's understandable he would instead be enamored by Michiru's kind personality.

* SuperiorSuccessor: Despite being centuries behind Ai in experience, Michiru demonstrates a more compassionate outlook on being Hell Girl, making her start off as far more hopeful for the role and universe than Yuzuki.

Best demonstrated towards her [[DrivenToSuicide suicidally self-loathing]] would-be client Satoshi, as she not only refused his request to be sent to Hell but also kindly encouraged him to make the best of his life.
