Plot happens.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Since Jimmy spent his life with privilege afforded to him by his father and never taking anything seriously, he's horribly out of his element when he tries to play tough in front of others. Jimmy tries selling a yacht for drug money, the thieves just steal the boat instead with him inside it. When he tries to act tough in front of Franklin, Michael, and Trevor, all three are cringing at his [[PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy attempts to be cool]]. In ''The Diamond Casino Heist'', he does follow through with his promise to sort his life out even if he has trouble adjusting to the life of working his way up rather than using Michael's wealth to get a leg up on the competition.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: He doesn't accompany Franklin and Lamar that much in ''The Contract'', owing to his advanced age.

Funnily enough, it takes her and Michael exchanging a ''series'' of these during a therapy session to help her work through her own issues with Michael and realizing he just wants him to stop lying to her and not endangering the kids.

At the very least, Lester doesn't seem to be in contact anymore. Considering Michael has been MIA since ''Online'''s launch, Franklin and Lamar are running their own business in ''The Contract'' update, and Trevor has supposedly "gone Vinewood" and abandoned most of his criminal enterprises, this might very well be true. However he is willing to get Jimmy a job at the Protagonist's arcade and describes him as a "family friend", implying there may still be some love with Michael at the very least.
