* MightyGlacier: Next to the Olympians, the Titans of both the First and Second Titanomachy are slow but fairly durable. Downplayed somewhat in that they're still very easily taken down by the gods due to a variety of factors listed under SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome.factors.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: The Olympians, by the time of III, have presumably grown much stronger since the events of the first Titanomachy. If not, the gods still present a huge threat to the Titans due to each of the gods having a winning SuperpowerLottery ticket against which the Titans simply can't measure up; the only reason Cronos maintained his rule for so long before Zeus' coming was because he ate all the gods at birth. Plus, the Titans were brought to the present timeline directly from the tail end of the first Titanomachy, and when sent to the present, they're essentially fighting against the same enemies that would've defeated them ages ago. Finally, they have to scale Mount Olympus, so all the Olympians have to do is make them lose their grip on the mountainside, then let gravity do the rest. In the end, Kratos' presence is largely the reason why the Titans have any chance whatsoever at toppling Olympus. spoiler:Gaia's decision to abandon Kratos to the Underworld in her mad dash to get to Zeus helps spiral the Titanomachy in the gods' favor, but even before then, all but two Titans (Gaia and Perses) are predictably seen getting swept off Olympus before they can even reach Zeus.

* OurTitansAreDifferent: While they share their mythologycal mythological counterparts' status as the gods before the gods, they're weaker than them and are absolutely huge (compared to the more human-sized Titans of Myth/GreekMythology). They're also a good deal less malevolent by comparison.

* VillainForgotToLevelGrind: Back during the Titanomachy, they were at least somewhat capable of battling the Olympians. However, by the time of God of War III the Titans have spent thousands of years stuck in Tartarus while the Olympians have had free reign to develop their powers; the result is that they're massively outclassed despite their imposing appearance with all but two being easily swept off Olympus' slopes in the opening battle. Even then, the remaining two don't fare so well - [[spoiler:Kratos casually one-shots Persus with the Blade of Olympus, while Gaia ends up being repeatedly dismembered then killed during the last battle of the game]].

* TooDumbToLive: Lets see, Gaia makes the decision to betray Kratos and let him fall off Olympus, when he's knocked off her shoulder and asking her for help. Helping him would've been impossible for her to do, however rather than explain that to him, she streets to invoke YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness, despite being well aware of just how dangerous Kratos is, and how vengeful he can be. Even worse, it's implied that the gods have grown to be far more powerful than the Titans, meaning Kratos was essential in their plan to overthrow the gods. Had Gaia been successful in getting Kratos killed, she would've just gotten absolutely destroyed by Zeus.

* TooDumbToLive: Gaia makes the decision to betray Kratos and let him fall off Olympus, telling him that he was only ever a means to an end. It gets even worse since, as stated multiple times, the Titans didn't stand a chance against the gods themselves, and they needed to have Kratos on their side. This is partially justified due to the fact that Gaia was scaling the walls of Olympus and was in a position where it was physically impossible for her to save Kratos without putting herself at grave risk, but the TooDumbToLive part comes back full force when, rather than simply tell Kratos that she can't rescue him, she decides to instead tell Kratos (who she knows is incredibly vengeful to those who betray/use him) he was nothing more than a pawn for her. This ends poorly for her.
