* NecessaryDrawback: Flawless Strategy reduces her crit rate by 100%, making it effectively impossible for her to land critical hits and cripples her viability as a [=DPS=]. However, this is necessary for gameplay balance; as her talents and typical builds gravitate towards giving her as much max HP as possible, this gives her among the best healing output in the game, and her burst makes her attacks hit hard around the quadruple digits while active; had she been allowed to crit, she would have invalidated a huge bulk of the playable cast.

Deleted the Nice Guy example from Gorou's folder due to it not being a defining trait. Heroic doesn't always kind, even if both can co-exist.

* HeroicDog: Has beastly traits in his canine ears and tail, is a NiceGuy, and forms part of the Resistance, a group presented as heroic in contrast to the antagonistic Shogun's Army.

Divine Priestess of Watatsumi, scion to a distinguished clan of clergy who continue to propagate worship of Orobashi even centuries after its death, and leader and strategist of the Sangonomiya Resistance. She provides shelter to people who fear losing, or already lost, their Visions and people who chose to fight back against Inazuma's state of affairs, even as she struggles to take on so many responsibilities for a young lady of her age.\\
\\
As leader of Watatsumi, Her Excellency is capable of supporting her allies through healing and defensive support in exchange for a near-total inability to land critical hits, while her Catalyst abilities manifest in the form of summoning phantasmal fish that attacks enemies. Her Elemental Skill, Kurage's Oath, has her summon a "Bake-Kurage," a phantasmal jellyfish which periodically deals Hydro damage on surrounding enemies and heals surrounding allies. Her Elemental Burst, Nereid's Ascension, sees Kokomi don a "Ceremonial Garment," a raiment made of Hydro energy, which allows her normal and charged attacks to simultaneously heal her allies, enhance the damage potency of both, as well as of the Bake-Kurage, based on a fraction of her Max HP, increases her flinching resistance, and allows her to walk on water.\\
\\
As Kokomi continues to draw up strategies, Nereid's Ascension gains the ability to refresh the duration of the Bake-Kurage, and her normal and charged attacks enhanced by the Ceremonial Garment gain a further increase based on a fraction of her Healing Bonus. Once Kokomi has formulated her best winning strategy, the healing potencies of the Bake-Kurage and her normal and charged attacks enhanced with the Ceremonial Garment increase towards allies with less than half their HP, and the Ceremonial Garment gains the ability to add another phantasmal fish attack to the end of her normal attack combo, boost the speed of her normal attacks as well as allow them to restore some Energy, and confer upon her a temporary boost to her Hydro Damage Bonus whenever her attacks heal, or at least attempt to do so, allies with high enough HP.\\

Kokomi can only be obtained when the Drifting Luminescence Character Event Wish is active.

As a seasoned general of the Resistance, Gorou specializes in supporting his allies, with both his Elemental Talents having the ability to generate areas-of-effect which deal Geo damage as well as provide up to three buffs depending on the number of Geo-elemental allies in the party, wherein he can unleash, in increasing levels, either "Standing Firm," "Impregnable," and "Crunch," which respectively add boosts to Defense, interruption resistance, and Geo Damage Bonus. His Skill, Inuzaka All-Round Defense, has Gorou plant a "General's War Banner" on a fixed location (around Gorou in its tapped form, anywhere if held), while his Burst, Juuga: Forward Unto Victory, summons a "General's Glory" around the active character which, in addition, periodically deals wide-ranging Crystal Collapse attacks and draws in generated Crystallize shards in regular intervals.\\

As Gorou continues to sharpen his metaphorical fangs and hold true to his convictions, Juuga: Forward Unto Victory gains the ability to confer a temporary Defense boost to nearby allies, and both his Elemental Talents increase in damage potency based on a fraction of his Defense stat. Once he is prepared to give his all in the name of Watatsumi, Gorou's allies gain the ability to shave the cooldown time of Inuzaka All-Round Defense whenever they land Geo-elemental hits within either of his areas-of-effect; the General's Glory field sees an extension to its duration whenever the active character picks up Crystallize shards, as well as gains the ability to periodically heal allies within its area-of-effect if it is at least Impregnable-grade; and both his Elemental Talents can now confer a temporary increase to the Critical Damage of his allies' Geo-aligned attacks, with increasing potency depending on the grade of the subsequent field.\\

!!Orupeusu, Piramumon, Surepio, Ion, Risutaiosu, Isumenasu and Rikoru no Mikoto

Also known as the Phaethons. The Sunchildren were seven children selected by the corrupt nobles to be the official rulers of Byakuyakoku. They claimed that the Sunchildren were born directly from the Dainichi Mikoshi.

----
* AwfulTruth: Ion could tell fortunes, but when he predicted tragedy, he would tell the opposite so that people would be happy.
* BrokenPedestal: Abrax was Rikoru's idol, however, he was manipulated by the nobles to believe that Abrax wanted to kill the Sunchild to take power for himself. This caused Rikoru to imprison Abrax and claim that he would build a tower taller than the Dainichi Mikoshi.
* DeadlyEuphemism: When they reached a certain age, the Sunchildren would all go through the Rite of Solar Return, which was in reality execution: the Sunchild would be incinerated by the Dainichi Mikoshi. The nobles knew that if a Sunchild grew old enough, he could no longer be manipulated.
* PuppetKing: The Sunchildren were manipulated by the nobles to do their bidding and had no real power, being ignorant children.
* ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming:
** The Sunchildren are each named after a son of Apollo, the Greek god of the sun. Most of their namesakes have a connection with the temple of Delphi:
*** Ion: Ion, who was raised by a priestess of the Delphic Oracle.
*** Isumenasu: Ismenus, brother of the seer Tenerus, and an alternate eponym of River Ismenus, which is said to have previously been known as Ladon.
*** Orupesu: Orpheus, legendary poet, musician and prophet.
*** Piramumon: Philammon, composer of the hymns to Artemis and Apollo that were sung at Delphi.
*** Rikoru: Lycorus. The city Lycoreia was named in his honor, and it was later renamed Delphi in honor of his great-grandson Delphus.
*** Risutaiosu: Aristaeus, who travelled to Ceos because of a Delphic prophecy.
*** Surepio: Asclepius, who was born in the Temple of Apollo at Delphi.
** Phaethon was the son of Helios, the Greek personification of the sun. He is most known for his disastrous failure to drive his father's sun chariot. This mirrors how the Sunchildren failed to govern Byakuyakoku, which resulted in a corrupt reign that drew the hatred of the people of Enkanomiya.
* RoyalBrat: All of them ruled over Enkanomiya tyrannically, although they were manipulated into doing so and could never truly have learned better.

Moving to Genshin Impact

* ShipTease: A few of her voice-overs show Kokomi may have a thing for the Traveler, such as offering them a walk when the sun is out, inviting them to read books with her and lamenting the Traveler would sleep on the floor, and preparing a schedule of the activities they could do in the Traveler's birthday — the latter of which, in fact, sounds more like a date.

* ShipTease: One of the routes of his Hangout Event has the Traveler offer to teach him to overcome his fear of people like Yae Miko by imitating them. Some of the dialogue options here, are incredibly flirty, as if the Traveler is having fun taking on the role of an aggressive tease (one bit of dialogue has the Traveler using lines spoken by Fatui Electro Cicin Mages like "Are you here to play with me?"). On the other hand, Miko's counterplan to Gorou attempting to confront her directly in another route is to suggest that the Traveler and Gorou are there to divine their future as a couple. Gorou is as defensive as ever, but Miko notes that his tail is swishing. Given that part of the advice that was given to him was that one of the ways to get a one up on someone like her in a situation like this is to compromise somehow, it's likely he was considering taking her up on that offer before deciding against it.

* WeaponSpecialization: Kokomi's Wish banner runs concurrent with the Everlasting Moonglow (5★). Its Ascension substat is Max HP (10.8–49.6%), while its "Byakuya Kougetsu" passive increases its wielder's Healing Bonus by 10–20%, as well as the damage potency of their Normal Attacks equivalent to 1–3% of their Max HP, as well as allowing their Normal Attacks to restore 0.6 Energy, triggered at least every 0.1 second, within twelve seconds after triggering their Elemental Burst. Apart from improving her healing potency, this allows Kokomi to quickly charge up Nereid's Ascension and thus give her more opportunities to heal her party while attacking.

* RevengeMyopia: One reason he and his cohorts conspire to keep the war going is due to an inability to forgive the Shogunate for the deaths of their comrades incurred during it. While the Shogunate is the main instigator due to imposing the Vision Hunt Decree in the first place, this ignores how Watatsumi chose to rebel and fight back against the Shogunate in an armed conflict would clearly lead to casualties, and that the soldiers their fighting are just rank-and-file soldiers with families back home, just like them.

* DubNameChange: In DubPronunciationChange: Kokomi's family and personal names (hiragana さんごのみや ここみ) are, respectively, the Chinese dub, per AlternateCharacterReading, her name kan-on and kun'yomi, or Han Chinese-derived and native Japanese, readings of 珊瑚宮心海 (except 宮, which uses kun'yomi, while の is Shānhúgōng Xīnhǎi.added between 瑚 and 宮), which are read as "Shānhúgōng Xīnhǎi" in Chinese, while the Korean dub opts for a localization, also as "Sangonomiya Kokomi" (hangul 산고노미야 코코미; the characters could also be read via hanja as "Sanhogung Simhae"/산호궁 심해).

** Kokomi is a coral-themed Hydro Vision holder, and an alternate reading of her name, Sango no Miya Kokomi or Sango-no-Miya-kokoro-umi, roughly translates to "coral's palace heart-ocean", a reference to the handful of stories from Myth/JapaneseMythology that describe water deities as living in palaces made of coral.

** ゴ (go) is homophonous with the go-on (derived from Wu Chinese [i.e., from the Yangtze Plain of eastern China]) reading of 護 (护 in simplified, hù in pinyin; the character is also used in traditional Chinese), which can also be read in kun (native Japanese) as "mamo" in mamoru. In both languages, the character means "protection," befitting Gorou's role in protecting Watatsumi.
** The name "Gorou" is also an antique Japanese name that literally means "fifth son," alluding to this Gorou's birth order in his family, albeit traditionally rendered in kanji as 五郎, as it is in Chinese subtitles, instead of the katakana used for his name (ゴロー).

* AmbiguouslyHuman: Kokomi loves diving to unwind, and while this might seems normal at first, a Serenitea Pot conversation with her at Friendship Level 7 implies that she can breathe underwater (she came up with a solution to the Traveler not being able to breathe underwater on the spot, implying she doesn't need to), making it likely that she (or even the entire Sangonomiya Clan) is not fully human. There is also a belief in-universe that the Priestesses of Watatsumi Island are descended from Vishaps. However, in the v3.8 event Secret Summer Paradise, she assures Klee that she's just normal human after being asked if she's a mermaid.
