* AntiVillain: Yes, he is a BloodKnight and one of the Harbingers, but he's also very friendly towards the Traveler and Zhongli, and displays [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes a love for his family]]. It's even implied by Teucer that if he had a chance, he'd pull a HeelFaceTurn and join the Traveler instead.
* ArcNumber: Eleven. He's the eleventh of the Harbingers, he was released on November 11 (which can be abbreviated as 11/11), and his rerun banner was the eleventh character wish banner overall.

* BenevolentBoss: He's noted to be cordial and fair with his subordinates, and even during a mock battle with recruits, he makes sure to not go too far. This is in contrast with {{Bad Boss}}es like Scaramouche and Signora, who will verbally abuse and even kill their underlings at the drop of a hat.

* EnemyMine: A meta example; by successfully pulling Tartaglia in his banner, the player is recruiting a villain to fight for them.

* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The In-Between of the three bosses-turned-playable-characters. He's not vitriolic and contemptuous of others like Scaramouche/Wanderer, but he's ''far'' too much of a BloodKnight to be as nice as Ei.

* PowerStereotypeFlip: Tartaglia is a BloodKnight obsessed with fighting, who has to be specifically ordered not to employ violence as his first course of action, having little interest for subtler approaches and plotting. However, as a playable unit, he only uses his Hydro Vision, allowing him to manipulate water to fight.

* UnfortunateNames: While his English alias, "Childe," is an archaic word that refers to a young noble (and thus an accurate translation of the Chinese), the fact that it's pronounced exactly like "child" makes it rather difficult to take him seriously. * VagueAge: Played with. He is one of the few characters that has his official description give him an age range that he could be around as it says he is a teenager, but it does not specify his exact age. Appearance-wise, he looks like a young adolescent, but he could potentially be younger. [[note]]This only applies to the English translation, as the Chinese and Japanese versions of his bio say that he's a "Youth" ("Qīngnián/Seinen"), using a word that denotes a person in their late teens or early twenties.[[/note]] His talk about drinking (alcohol) in the "An Organization Known as Wangsheng" story confirms that he must be over 18. The localization team quietly corrected his bio in v1.2, changing it from "teenager" to "young adult."

* MadeofIron: In Part 1 of Arlecchino's story quest, he makes an appearance even though at this point [[spoiler: he should've been on his way back to Snezhnaya to recover after the events of the Fontaine Archon Quest.]]. According to Childe, he woke up, realized he was heading back to Snezhnaya, made contact with Arlecchino, then downed several of Heloir's potions to rejuvenate himself. He's still coughing and sore around the ribs, but given that he was [[spoiler: unconscious for several days/weeks after the events of the Archon Quest]], he probably shouldn't even be standing in front of them.
