In terms of work, Ganyu has an important post with the Qixing that often sees her working overtime, while Shenhe is a waitress at Wanmin Restaurant that always gets off the clock on time. Ganyu's meticulousness that see' her do well at work also tends to make her overthink things, especially when interacting with people, while Shenhe's sheltered upbringing has made her more blunt while giving her an air of confidence. Even {{fanservice}}-wise their choice of clothing draws attention in opposite directions, with Shenhe's drawing attention to [[HartmanHips her hips]] and legs, and Ganyu's to [[SensualSpandex her breasts]] and [[SexyBacklessOutfit back]].

Her chest isn't exactly that well-hidden, with her wearing a skintight bodysuit with only a flap-like shirt over them, but compared to her HartmanHips and long legs, which have no such thing covering and even have windows on each side to expose some skin, they're unlikely to get as much attention.

* MurderIsTheBestSolution: Between not growing up in human society and her curse which amplifies her aggressive urges, she's remarkably quick to suggest violent solutions to even the most mundane problems. For instance, when she learns that the Traveler is participating in a material foraging competition for the building of a new Jade Chamber, Shenhe's first thought is to ''murder their competitors''.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: He is a fan of ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dim_sum dim sum]]'' dishes, an assortment of bite-sized Cantonese dishes, with a majority of his voice lines mentioning dim sum or tea in some capacity. In particular, he is fond of ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Char_siu char siu]]'', or barbecued pork, with his specialty dish being a pair of char siu baos shaped like his Wushou head.

* VitriolicBestBuds: It is heavily implied that he, Xingqiu, and Hu Tao hang out regularly, especially since the other two share an interest in poetry and they often ask Chongyun to act as referee for their poetry battles. In Hu Tao's character stories, the three of them fill the street with laughs.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: While Gaming might think otherwise, in his conversation with Zhongli Yip Tak makes it clear his sole reason for disapproving of Gaming's dream is because he worries for his son's future, that while Gaming is able to get by now that won't always be the case and as he gets older his options become limited. It's obvious his worries at least come from a place of genuine love and aren't even that misplaced as even Gaming admits he can't actually live off Wushou dancing.

* VocalDissonance: When she appears in Zhongli's second Story Quest, [[spoiler: she speaks in a deep masculine voice. JustifiedTrope, as her actual identity is (at least heavily implied to be) essentially an AnthropomorphicPersonification of of Azdaha's wrath and hatred, so it's actually ''Azdaha's'' voice]].

* FantasyForbiddingFather: He always preferred that Gaming join the family business instead of wasting his time performing Wushou dancing, which prompted Gaming to run away from home. The two have had a rather strained relationship ever since.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Heavily {{downplayed|trope}}, since Gaming has the flashy appearance of a playable character while his father Yip Tak uses an [=NPC=] model, but they do share the same shade of dark brown hair[[note]]The dark red part of Gaming's hair is dyed[[/note]].

* {{Foil}}: He is the complete opposite of Shenhe in pretty much every conceivable way possible from their looks to personalities and even the way they fight, Shenhe is a Cryo character who is best used as a support for others while Gaming is a Pyro character who works best after getting buffed. Their family situation is also completely the opposite of each other, Shenhe's father cast her aside while Gaming's father wants to hold onto to his son for as long as possible. Shenhe really values the bonds of family she has made a sees them as keeping her grounded while Gaming sees his family bonds as more of a burden that prevent him from flying free.

* GoombaSpringboard: His Skill normally has him dash forward; if he hits an enemy, he will be launched upward, faciliating his unique plunging attack.
