Both groups are invaders from space who reside in a far-off planetoid who attack Earth due to it being directly in a line of planets they conquered/destroyed. However, the Baranoia were dead-serious for the most part (even after ''Ohranger''[='=]s abandonment of its darker themes) and were led by a royal family, with a major leadership shakeup in the endgame that led to the faction getting much deadlier until they had a temporary win. The Bowzock are instead little more than a gang of bikers led by a self-made leader and whose leadership shakeup lasts only a few episodes (discounting Exhaus' manipulations) and ultimately become lamer and more easily beatable villains who only see success when Exhaus aids them. Finally, the Baranoia were for the most part destroyed and only four members, Acha, Kocha, Buldont Jr. and Bara Mobile survived the finale (and even then Bara Mobile was eventually killed in ''Carranger vs. Ohranger'') while the majority of Bowzock's core and recurring members survive (outside of JJ Jetton).
