* EvilPlan: His ultimate plan is to blow up Earth, so he can create a giant road for aliens to travel the Milky Way on, while removing any and all speed limits so criminals across the universe can cause as many accidents as they wish on the road. Earth is in the way of it, so he wants it destroyed.

* OnlySaneMan: He's not without his own quirks but compared to the Carrangers he is definitely the most well-adjusted and sane person in the room for most of the series, which is also why he's their mentor.
* SignificantWardrobeShift: After being shot by OO Oopa's [[TheNudifier Nuninuni Beam Gun]], Dappu is forced to wear Earth clothes for the rest of the series.

* {{Deconstruction}}: Of ''Series/MetalHeroes'' characters, as a natural result of parodying them. Being sent alone to "Earf" means he is eventually forced to leave Earth temporarily because he has a family back on Planet Polis that he misses, and his hands are often tied because he's a ''traffic'' cop who can't take active measures against the Bowzock until they start breaking laws. He is also unique in the franchise for being an alien/non-human hero who doesn't transform or enlarge (by choice -- Imocho's Imo-youkan presumably works on him), and this limits his effectiveness in a series running on Carmagic (though he does have Sirender to help even the playing field when the monsters grow).
** {{Reconstruction}}: He is also shown to be ''very'' effective at his job; he's sent to Earth alone ''because'' he's able to physically arrest violent drivers by himself. Even when the show's parodic nature is actively working against him, being a professional means he's largely had the IdiotHero trained out of him. (The costume is also designed along traditional ''Series/MetalHeroes'' lines, and ''all'' of those signals on his body light up. He's the coolest-lookin' bike cop ever put to media.)

* RunningGag: His is his recurring way of referring to the Carrangers' untransformed identities as "unremarkable civilians" while treating them much more nicely than their alter-egos.

* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Of a sort. When he's ''not'' acting in his capacity as a law-abiding police officer, we see that he's fully capable of beating down the Carrangers on his own.

* ArchEnemy: Of Signalman. However, it's one-sided. Ritchihiker was arrested by him for a minor charge, but Ritchihiker despises him all the same.

* RightForTheWrongReasons: In episode 21 he makes up a story about the Bowzock being haunted by an "Evil Space God" that brings bad luck to them to cover up his failures at defeating the Carranger. [[spoiler:However he turned out to be unintentionally right about the existence of an evil entity overlooking the Bowzock: Emperor Exhaus (albeit the latter was hoping they'd succeeded for his own ends).]]

* LuredIntoATrap: Ritchihiker's first order of business is to pose both himself and JJ Jetton as a teacher and student of the "Bowzock rehab" school respectively to trick the Carrangers into drinking poisoned wine. Thanks to Signalman's prior history with Ritchihiker, the plan backfired.

* CrazyPrepared: OO Oopa is smart enough to wear swimming trunks under his bathrobe in case he gets hit by a Nuninuni Beam Gun shot.

* ImprobableWeaponUser: His preferred weapons are baseballs. After receiving a kiss from Zonnette, HH Deo can also use baseball-shaped energy sphere attacks.

* FatBastard: By the virtue of working for Bowzock. Otherwise, he anything but a bastard.

* BigEater: In episode 4 he eats 4 plates of Takoyaki, Fried Chicken, Inarizushi and Imocho's Imo-Youkan all in quick succession. Ichitaro and his mother are both fascinated by his great appetite.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: He's the complete opposite of {{Jerkass}} DirtyCoward [[Series/KousokuSentaiTurboranger Zulten]].

* EvilGenius: Provides Bowzock with weapons such as the [[PopGoesTheHuman "Fattening Spray"]], [[{{Brainwashed}} "Forgetfulness Water Gun"]], [[TheNudifier "Nuninuni Beam Gun"]] and [[PsychoSerum "Gekibaka"]]. However, while he's a great inventor, he can sometimes succeed in being a buffoon.

* ThePigPen: He openly admitted to the giant MM Mogu, that he never bothered to clean himself (his navel in particular) for ''ten years'' as a means of cheering him up about his insecurities regarding his own dirt navel.

* AllForNothing: QQ Kyutan's searching attempts was all for naught when Zonnette revealed to Gynamo that she was actually looking for the Rainbow Bridge and not a necklace as Gynamo expected.

* FallenHero: Originally a famous race car champion and Dappu's childhood hero, Max was apparently killed in a car crash, but later revealed to have survived and ended up in a planet occupied by the Bowzock. He was then found by Zelmoda and Grotch, with the latter turning him into KK Esu.

A cockroach monster who grew from eating Imo-youkan and became Bowzock's best dancer.

* ShoutOut: The Sentai equivalent of [[Franchise/{{Godzilla}} Mechagodzilla]] and its roar is taken from various Toho {{Kaiju}}. Its Rebuilt upgrade closely resembles Gigan.

* MsFanservice: Doubles as EvilIsSexy, even if she isn't really evil. Just rebellious, immature and selfish.

* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:At the end of the series he does not get together with Zonnette as he'd wished, but regardless she comes to truly respect him and gives him a thankful kiss for saving the Carrangers, then befriends all the heroes and makes peace with them, getting to live a happy peaceful life on Earth. He then disbands the Bowzock gets to be a successful chef with the help of his closest friends, with ''Megaranger vs. Carranger'' even showing that his business has thrived.]]

* {{Keigo}}: A very polite and gentlemanly one at that.

* KansaiRegionalAccent: As with most Osakan characters, Minoru has this accent. This also extends to his special attack, the "Naniwa Kick".

* BladeOnAStick: Land Zuzoon wields a spear.

* BuxomBeautyStandard: Her profile is described as this: a "buxom]]" member of the Bowzocks who [[TheVamp uses her feminine wiles]], and Gynamo's crush on her, for her own selfish pleasures.

* PutOnABus: Leaves at the end of episode 28 to spend some time with his family. (Story-wise, this gets him out of the way so the VRV Master Arc can happen.)

* SwissArmyWeapon: Signizer, with three modes:

** {{Handguns}}: Gun Mode. Has three modes of fire: Cold Beam, Smash Beam, and Heat Beam - blue, yellow, and red respectively. Smash Beam, despite its name, is a "stun" shot that Signalman uses most to shoot kneecaps. Heat Beam is also non-indicative, as it seems to just be a full-power shot.
** ImprobableWeaponUser: Recording Device mode, which comes in handy on the rare occasion he needs to take a deposition or something.
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: {{Downplayed}} as he is a force of unambiguous good the whole time but in regards to his relationship with the Carrangers he deals with this dilemma as the series progresses, gripping with whether or not to keep their enmity up over his dislike of their reckless attitude or stop doing so and join their fight despite them being vigilantes; he chooses the latter.

* HumongousMecha: Provided the Carrangers with the VRV Machines, which can combine into VRV Robo. VRV Master himself briefly commandeers the Victrailer, which carries the VRV Machines, until he has to leave the planet for a while.

* EvilPlan: His ultimate plan is to blow up Earth, so he can create a giant road for aliens to travel the Milky Way on, while removing any and all speed limits so criminals across the universe can causeas many accidents ast they wish on the road. * WhipItGood: He has an [[TheBeastmaster animal tamer gimmick]] and appropriately wields a LightningLash as their weapon. It was tasked with retrieving and taming the Beager beast that was under the protection of the rangers.

* EvilPlan: Exhaus' plan is actually a variant of BB Donpa's "flying cars" scheme, as he had SS Sutatanzo use three special gas tanks to make cars fly to the Baribarian so the Bowzock could turn them into demolition cars.
* SpannerInTheWorks: He unintentionally managed to send [=OhRed=] to the Baribarian by pouring Bowzock's special gasoline on his Red Jetter, forcing the Carrangers to rescue him after recieving TrainingFromHell from Chief Miura.

* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: His treatment of the Beagle is extremel rough and cruel.
* EyeBeams: CC Patchoone's monocole can shoot beams.

* WhipItGood: His main weapon.

* ThePrankster: He's the best prankster of Bowzock, able to decieve the Carrangers into thinking he's gone rogue.

* ToBeLawfulOrBeGood: {{Downplayed}} as he is a force of unambiguous good but in regards to his relationship with the Carrangers he deals with this dilemma as the series progresses, gripping with whether or not to keep their enmity up over his dislike of their reckless attitude or stop doing so and join their fight despite them being vigilantes; he chooses the latter.

* ItsPersonal: The pollution on Planet Polis affected his son, and Signalman himself attacks the Carrangers under this.

* LukeYouAreMyFather: [[spoiler:She's Zonnette's younger sister.]]
* MagicalGirl: She hits all the notes. Even her transformation is through magic.

* TheChick: She has a very girly personality, ranging from reading fortune-telling magazine articles to having dreams of being an IdolSinger and marrying a rich husband.

* EvilPlan: His ultimate plan is to blow up Earth, so he can create a giant road for aliens to travel the Milky Way on. Earth is in the way of it, so he wants it destroyed.

** Is almost killed in his normal state when the Carrangers fling back the Baribairian at him, as he'd previously tried to use it to blow up Earth.

A 23-year-old test driver for Pegasus Auto Garage.

* [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Why Did It Have to Be Bugs?]]: The only reason she was the first to pass the first leg of the big test in ''vs. Ohranger'' was because one bug frightened her.

* BlessedWithSuck: Upon [[spoiler: arriving on Earth a second time]], her titular car can become a HumongousMecha... for one minute.

* SixthRanger: Although she's technically not a Carranger. Just a big fan.

* ArmyOfThievesAndWhores: They have no regard for traffic safety, ransacked planets they invaded, and blow them up like fireworks. [[spoiler:Exhaus is to blame for all of this.]]
* BadGuyBar: The Baribarian's BB Saloon is where the Bowzock would usually hang out.
* UsefulNotes/{{Bosozoku}}: As their name suggests, the Bowzock is this, though only Zelmoda and Elekinta have motrcycles: the rest of them drive pimped-out cars instead (or in LL Onene's case, a bicycle).
* BreakingTheFellowship: [[spoiler:After Exhaus is killed off, the Bowzock formally disbands, not wanting to associate with him any further.]]

* LaughablyEvil: Villainous as they may be, but the Bowzock are just as dumb and funny as the Carrangers. The only exception to this trope is Exhaus, who is not a direct member himself.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: They were never harmless to begin with (since they ''did'' blow up planets before), but most of the Bowzock's members are just a bunch of adorable losers who wanted to blow up Earth but never came up with a practical plan. [[spoiler:Then they TookALevelInBadass the moment Exhaus showed up.]]
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:In the grand scheme of things, the Bowzock are just expendables in Exhaus' [[EvilPlan Greatest Evil Space Highway Plan]].]]

* DeathByIrony: Is defeated and killed by the Carrangers after being fed with outdated imo-youkan.

* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Pulled this on the Bowzock after sealing away the Carrangers' Carmagic Power and having them trash their base.

* TheBeastmaster: He's themed after an animal trainer. Exhaus hired him to caprture the Beagle and train it into destroying roads and highways by eating concrete.

* BigBad: The true main antagonist of the series.
* EvilPlan: His ultimate plan is to blow up Earth, so he can create a giant road for aliens to travel the milky way on. Earth is in the way of it, so he wants it destroyed.

* TeamDad: In contrast to Dappu who acts as the Carrangers little brother, he takes a more fatherly role towards them in his brief time as the mentor, guiding him directly to victory. This is especially pronounced since [[spoiler:Dappu is his son]].

* BadassInDistress: Gets briefly kidnapped by Ritchiritchihiker in episode 30, forcing the Carrangers to save him.

** While Dappu is hibernating in episode 30, VRV Master looks over him affectionately with his helmet taken off and puts it back when the Carrangers enter the room.

* BigBadWannabe: [[spoiler:Believed that he's the one behind the Bowzock's plan to destroy Earth, while being the UnwittingPawn of Exhaus. For his defense, everyone genuinely believed that he was the one behind the Bowzock's plot to destroy the planet before they learned of Exhaus' manipulations.]].

* TheDragon: The "deputy leader" of Bowzock and Gynamo's right-hand man. He commands the Combatant Wumpers, which he keeps in a floating jar.

* BigBadWannabe: Tries to take control of the Bowzock and succeeds. However, Gynamo is still around. [[spoiler:Plus the true BigBad is Exhaus]].

* DragonWithAnAgenda: While he ''was'' loyal to Gynamo at first, he tries to overthrow him after his SanitySlippage. It works... [[spoiler:[[BigBadWannabe temporarily]]]].
