** Lampshaded. When introduced, The Pack were fearsome mercenaries, pulling jobs for money and the thrill of the hunt, which set them against the gargoyles. Come "Upgrades", they're robbing banks just to stay solvent, and do a pretty bad job at it. Nobody's happy that they've been reduced to petty thieves, until Coyote comes back, whereupon they gain the titular upgrades and break out of their decay.

* AxCrazy: Following his FaceHeelTurn. When Vinnie expresses reluctance in the midst of Jon’s excessiveness, the latter immediately pounces on the former, trying to kill him on the spot and screaming that he is a “traitor”. This aspect of him is shown again when he aims to use lethal force on innocent civilians at a Halloween gathering simply because they dressed up as gargoyles.

* DirtyCoward: The Halloween comic story shows just how cowardly the Quarrymen really are as Castaway leads them to attack a peaceful Halloween party because the Gargoyles are there as guests and people who "dare to dress as Gargoyles". Fortunately, Nashville, Bronx, and Fu-Dog put a stop to their plans before they could try to attack the party. When the three Gargoyles attack, most of the Quarrymen ran, screaming out that "no one said they'd actually fight back".

Added DiffLines:

* FreudianExcuse: Most of Demona's problems are her own fault, but it all stems from the fact she was mistreated by the humans her clan protected at Castle Wyvern and was tired of watching her family and lover be abused by ungrateful bigots. She then lost her clan to the Vikings when they betrayed her, which instilled a lifelong mistrust of humans.

Added DiffLines:

* ItsAllAboutMe: A tragic example. Demona always puts her desires above other people even when she's not consciously trying to and stews in self-pity, resulting in her making numerous poor decisions that hurt the people around her. What Demona ultimately wants is a family and to no longer be alone, but she's too paranoid to actually accept it and too prideful to ever admit she was wrong, resulting in her sabotaging her own happiness repeatedly.

Added DiffLines:

* HypocriteHasAPoint: For as much as her hatred of humanity is borne out of [[NeverMyFault her refusal to take responsibility for her own actions]], even the Manhattan Clan acknowledge she makes some good points. As it stands, Demona is right that humanity has always treated gargoyles abysmally out of [[FantasticRacism bigotry]], regardless of how noble the gargoyles behave. The reason she's a villain is because she herself is equally bigoted against humanity, and views them all as inherently evil much like the bigots she criticizes.

Added example(s)

Added DiffLines:

* PsychologicalProjection: This is a subtle element of her personality, and one of her overriding flaws. Demona is easily convinced her allies are trying to betray her and prone to paranoia about it. Yet Demona repeatedly betrays the people close to her over and over again, even kickstarting her own misery by betraying her own clan for admittedly understandable albeit unjustifiable reasons. Her paranoia thus is a result of the fact that she ''would'' quickly leap to betrayal if it benefited her, and she thinks everyone else shares this trait.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: As a consequence of EvilCannotComprehendGood, Demona has a massive blind spot when it comes to how moral other people are. She believed that Macbeth would willingly betray her and her clan to the English (who were led by Macbeth's enemy the Hunter, and despite Macbeth having been a loyal ally of Demona's for decades), and at different points, believed that Goliath, Brooklyn, Coldstone, and Angela could all be brought around to her way of thinking about humanity. She also genuinely believed that Thailog (who had previously turned on and tried to kill his own creators) cared about her and could be trusted.

Added DiffLines:

* AllThereInTheScript: Before being separated and given the name Coldsteel, the scripts referred to him as [[Theatre/{{Othello}} Iago]]. Being a traditional gargoyles, this wasn't a name he ever had, just ease of reference for the scripts.
* CombatTentacles: Coldsteel's weapons in his new body are steel cords that emerge from his hands.
* DeadpanSnarker: Iago/Coldsteel is hardly short of dry quips.
* EnemyWithin: Iago/Coldsteel started as one of the three souls in the MindHive of Coldstone and would both manipulate Coldstone himself and take control of their body.
* EnemyWithout: Iago/Coldsteel becomes this after gaining his own body.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Coldsteel, especially by the high standards set by this show, is shallow. His VillainousCrush on Coldfire is mostly an afterthought; primarily, he's just an evil gargoyle who wants to betray and kill his clanmates for reasons never explained. This fits in somewhat with his basis in Shakespeare's Iago, whose stated motivations fluctuate from scene to scene.
* HargeHam: When he acquires his new robotic body, he really hams it up the scene.
* ManipulativeBastard: [[MeaningfulName Iago]] loves turning Coldstone against the rest of the clan. Go figure.
* MistakenForCheating: Some time in the past Desdemona was crying about something and Goliath comforted her. Iago uses this to manipulate Othello into thinking Goliath is trying to steal his beloved from him, and Othello/Coldstone naturally goes berserk.
* StalkerWithACrush: Iago/Coldsteel has a fixation on Desdemona/Coldfire, who thoroughly rejects his advances.
