* BornUnlucky: His cutie mark is an upside-down horseshoe (which is considered unlucky since it is believed that the luck would drain out if a horseshoe is held that way). so he believed for a long time that bad luck was his lot in life.
* TheGiant: He's probably one of the biggest ponies in the show. Clydesdale-sized.
* GentleGiant: While he was mistaken for a criminal by nearly everyone else. He's actually a really nice guy once you get to know him.

* NonStandardCharacterDesign: He is by far the largest pony character on the show, twice as tall as most mares/stallions and would give Big Mac a run for money. His features are designed off a [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clydesdale_horse Clydesdale horse]], including the facial markings, coloring, and fetlocks, which itself leads to his name being [[MeaningfulName meaningful]].

* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Her name is a reference to designer CocoChanel.

* ChekhovsGunman: The four pictured to the side in particular; Double Diamond is at first TheDragon to Starlight, while the other three are ordinary townsfolk, albeit ones who secretly want their marks again. All four of them play pivotal roles in getting the mane six's cutie marks back and getting rid of Starlight.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He would have been well within his rights to demand payment from Fluttershy, had he not included the "100%satisfied or you pay nothing" guarantee.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: If he didn't include the 100% satisfaction or your money back guarantee, he would have been within his rights to demand payment.

* HeroicSacrifice: When Starlight learns of ponies telling the Mane Six about the cutie mark vault, Party Favor steps up to protect his two friends from being "reconditioned".

A Silver pony who was TheShill in Flim and Flam's Medicine Show. His part was to pretend to be ill and then be "cured" due to the Tonic. After Applejack comes clean, he decides to mend his ways.

* ClusterFBomb: Lets one off when the others don't seem to want to leave Fluttershy's cottage.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Downplayed. While trying to impress Applejack, he mostly talks about himself and what he's done, but he does try to get Applejack to talk about herself; it's just that when she's unreceptive to conversation, Trenderhoof tends to default to himself.

* ItsAllAboutMe: While trying to impress Applejack, he seems to just talk about himself and what he's done, making himself seem like a total bore.

** Her human counterpart makes numerous non-speaking appearances in ''WesternAnimation/EquestriaGirls'' as a student. Like her pony version, she has an interest in photography, shown setting up a camera in the gym during preparation for the dance, then later later taking photos during the dance itself. In the sequel, she gains a speaking role with the same voice and accent as her pony counterpart

Diamond Tiara's father and one of the richest ponies in Ponyville. Every time a Zap Harvest comes around, he collects the first 100 jars of Granny Smith's signature Zap Apple Jam to sell at his store Barnyard Bargins.

* ScrewTheMoneyIHaveRules: Unlike his spoiled daughter, he is quite amicable and respectful, and he doesn't approve of her rude behavior towards the Apple family. [[spoiler:(Granny Smith played a key role in launching both the Rich family business and the entire town.)]]

* TuxedoAndMartini: In Pinkie's ImagineSpot in "MMMystery on the Friendship Express", he is a James Bond-style secret agent with the tux and the gadets and the beautiful mares clinging to his legs.

* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Iron Will appears to be an Expy of motivational speaker Tony Robbins. Also Creator/MrT, Wrestling/HulkHogan, Randy "Macho Man" Savage and [[Wrestling/DwayneJohnson Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson]] and the inspirational style of [[ImageMacro Courage Wolf]].
