Ken does tend to forgive his enemies only after [[RedemptionEqualsDeath fatally wounding them first]], unlike a lot of other example of this trope.

to:

* EasilyForgiven: Has the tendency to be on the forgiving end of this trope, as mocked [[http://www.baka-raptor.com/2009/02/14/love-conquers-all/ here]]. Note, though, that Ken does tend to forgive his enemies only after [[RedemptionEqualsDeath fatally wounding them first]], unlike a lot of other example of this trope.

Original summary is flat out incorrect. Shin never ordered the torching of Southern Cross, it was caused by a riot. And that wasn\'t part of the manga-canon, which this wiki should be adhering to, Kenshiro & Shin were not \'best friends\' in the manga either, that was an anime invention.

Overtime, Yuria becomes more miserable of Shin's tyranny and misguidedness that she commits suicide when he orders the burning of Southern Cross in order to earn her love. [[spoiler:However, Yuria survives her suicide attempt from a rescue by the ''Nanto Goshasei'' ("South Dipper Five Chariot Stars"), her sworn guardians charged to protect her as the Last General of ''Nanto''. Shin is forced to relinquish Yuria as Raoh and his army are marching towards Southern Cross]]. He awaits for a revitalized Kenshiro in his palace and is defeated. However, rather than die by Kenshiro's hand, Shin throws himself off his palace to his death, a final spite against his former best friend.

* EasilyForgiven: One of the flaws that Kenshiro gets called upon by fans is his ease and ''frequency'' with which he applies this trope towards the most vile, undeserving villains in their final moments, whilst butchering their armies without a second's hesitation. The worst case is likely Kaioh, since Kenshiro, at least with his other opponents, defeated them first.
** It generally depends on the FreudianExcuse the villain had: Shin did everything out of his love for Yuria (and was prodded heavily by Jagi, although Kenshiro didn't know that at the time), and Souther did everything [[spoiler:out of devotion for his fallen master (however misguided)]]. Jagi, on the other hand, had no such excuses, and as a result is given one of the most agonizing deaths that Kenshiro ever dishes out.
** In fairness though, Ken does tend to forgive his enemies only after [[RedemptionEqualsDeath fatally wounding them first]], unlike a lot of other example of this trope.

** InsufferableGenius: Claims he can master any martial art style in the shortest amount of timetime, and there's a certain amount of truth to that.

* FatalFlaw: Amiba's undoing is his egotism. He is very smart and very good, and when he teaches his new techniques to trained Hokuto Shinken fighters like Jagi and Raoh, they make good use of them. But, because he neglects the basics, and because his skill plummets when he's emotional, he starts screwing up during his fight with Ken.

* TragicVillain: In some continuities, Amiba started out as an earnest, decent guy who genuinely wanted Toki to teach him Hokuto Shinken so he could heal and help people. But tradition dictated that Toki not speak of the style to anyone else, or even tell Amiba where he ''could'' go to be taught by the rightful successor, and, as he got more and more bitter over the constant rejections, one last bit of humiliation broke the camel's back.
