* ItsPersonal: Lekain accumulates personal vendettas the way some people collect stamps. By the end of the game it's hard to find a character who doesn't have a deeply personal stake in putting him in the ground and Lekain, as evidenced by his boss conversations, returns the sentiment in almost every instance. This goes double with Apostle Sanaki, whose entire life has been ruined by Lekain's manipulations.

Added DiffLines:

* StupidEvil: So stupid that he makes the other Senators look like geniuses by comparison. He needlessly orders soldiers into a volcanic cave without any care for their safety, ignores Crimea's neutrality and ransack their villages, which led to a skirmish with the Knights, then insult Elincia for intervening in the affair without even considering her opposing him for the transgression, ordering the unarmed Elincia killed for intervening and deescalating a battle between Begnion and the Alliance, which again would cause Crimea and the Alliance to spurn Begnion, and even ordering Zelgius's ''execution'' without trial for abandoning him, despite the fact that he is the main reason why Begnion hasn't lost the war.

* BullyingADragon: He is not intimidated by the Black Knight, even when the Black Knight can take on his entire ambush party alone. Justified, given that by that point in the story he is a dead man walking and has nothing left to lose anyway.

* VillainousValour: Stares Say what you will about Jarod - and there's a ''lot'' to say - but he's genuinely fearless. Even when he knows he's a dead man, he stares down the Black Knight and pulls a LastVillainStand with his weakened, badly outnumbered forces.

* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: Claims that Zelgius is his to kill in Part 4, despite being a frail magic user that [[OneManArmy Zelgius]] could rip apart with his bare hands.

* SuicidalOverconfidence: Par for the course for all Fire Emblem bosses, but he deserves special mention for genuinely believing that he can take the likes of [[OneManArmy Zelgius]] and [[LightningBruiser Tibarn]] head-on. In fact he's the only member of the corrupt Begnion senate that doesn't have a single line of battle dialogue showing fear.

Added DiffLines:

* MisanthropeSupreme: After all he's been through and the horrors he's seen, [[spoiler:up to and including the assassination of his descendant and ensuing near-genocide of his people]], he has come to the conclusion that beorc and laguz alike are monsters who don't deserve life. [[spoiler:To achieve the GoldenEnding, Ike can turn his view around on additional playthroughs.]]

* TokenGoodTeammate: [[DeconstructedCharacterArchetype Deconstructed]]. He may have his morals and remorse for all the crimes the Senate commits, but the actual good guys point out that his unwillingness to stand up to Lekain and actively profiting off their crimes make him a DirtyCoward in the end.

Added DiffLines:

* HateSink: He may be irrelevant to the greater plot involving Daein and Begnion, but in that time, Ludveck proves to be nearly as vile as Lekain himself, being horrendously ambitious, opportunistic, egotistical, and hypocritical on his alleged journey to make things better for Crimea. And by the time Elincia's arc ends, he proves to be every bit as cowardly as Lekain is.

* TheHeavy: While [[spoiler:Sephiran]] is the ultimate mastermind, Lekain's actions nonetheless drive the plot of both ''Tellius'' games; it was his murder of the previous apostle, his scheme to massacre the Serenes Herons, and his constant undermining of Sanaki and Sephiran's reforms that caused [[spoiler:Sephiran]] to go over the DespairEventHorizon and plot the extinction of all life on Tellius. [[spoiler:In addition his use of blood pacts drive the war in Part 3, forcing Daein to ally with Bengion and Kilvas to betray the Laguz alliance.]]
