!Askr, the Kingdom of Openness
[[quoteright:220:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/askr_insignia_feh.png]]
[[caption-width-right:220:The Shield of Askr]]

The main characters of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'' hail from the realm of Midgard, the realm of mortals, otherwise known as the World of Zenith. The realm is home of the Kingdom of Askr and the Emblian Empire. Both nations call upon Heroes from different ''Fire Emblem'' worlds to join in the fight.

The Kingdom of Askr is constantly invaded by many forces across the Nine Realms. The fate of the kingdom lies within the Summoner, as well as the Order of Heroes, a group of Heroes from other universes in the ''Fire Emblem'' franchise.

[[folder:Kingdom of Askr In General]]

* BalanceSpeedStrengthTrio: Sharena is the balance, Anna the speed, and Alfonse the strength. Curiously, the speed and strength roles are reversed from typical ''Fire Emblem'' weapon users.
* CantCatchUp: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. Alfonse, Sharena and Anna can be upgraded to 5* units, but you cannot merge them up to increase their stats, unlike the rest of the heroes in the game. However, they can use Trait Fruits and Ascended Florets to change their assets and flaws, and infantry Dragonflowers to help boost their stats as well. They can even inherit Seasonal Weapons and even Arcane Weapons from certain Rearmed Heroes. So while they can be made stronger, they ultimately can't surpass other units due to being denied the ability to be merged to gain extra stats, though they can be at least given extra stats and skills to make them marginally better. Subverted with their seasonal variants, which can be summoned and merged up like any other unit.
* CantDropTheHero:
** Downplayed by the main trio--while you're not forced to use them in your teams, it is not possible to remove them from the barracks. They cannot be sent home for feathers, used as fodder for skill inheritance, or turned into Combat Manuals, even if they do not have a favorite mark.
** Played straight by Kiran in Mjölnir's Strike, who must be a part of your team.
* ChromaticArrangement: The main trio by their hair colors. Anna is red, Alfonse is blue, Sharena is yellow. You meet them in that order also, despite Anna not being the main character overall.
* ConvenientlyAnOrphan: Averted; Alfonse and Sharena are the only ''Fire Emblem'' nobles to still have both living parents, as Sharena mentions writing letters home to their mother while their father Gustav is mentioned as leading the defense against Múspell; though they remain unseen until Book III. [[spoiler:And then Gustav is killed in Book III Chapter 4. Only time will tell if Henriette will bite the big one as well.]]
* DemotedToExtra: Only for the main trio in the Paralogues. For the first three years of the game's life, the trio had heavy involvement in a majority of these paralogues, but since Book IV, their roles in them are treated in the same way as every other special hero.
* DragonAncestry: All of the Askr royal family carry the blood of the Divine Dragon, Askr, in their veins.
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:The Askr of "Líf's" world united with Embla to put a stop to Hel's rampage by creating a "forbidden heart" to take her down. However, their efforts were all for naught as the "forbidden heart" consumed one life every pulse it made, eventually killing everything, including even animals.]]
* FashionableAsymmetry: All three of them rock asymmetrical shoulder pauldrons. According to Sharena's description of Resplendent Ryoma, they're designed to protect the wearer's neck.
* GoldAndWhiteAreDivine: Defining trait of Askr outfits.
* HeirClubForMen: It's implied that only a man can be Askr's sovereign, as Gustave tells Alfonse that if he dies Askr will have no heirs even though his sister Sharena is very much alive.
* MagikarpPower: Prior to the 2.5.0 update, Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna started off as 2-star heroes with weak weapons and limited skills, making them weaker than heroes you summon (who come at the minimum of 3 stars). But put enough time, badges, and feathers into them and they end up with decent personal weapons with useful effects, better skills, and much better stats. The 2.5.0 update upgraded their starting rarity to 4-star and gave players who started playing beforehand the resources to upgrade them.
* PutOnABus: In terms of paralogues, they mostly stopped appearing in seasonal paralogues altogether outside their own after "Renewed Spirits", instead focusing on the featured characters more.
* RestrainingBolt: The contract made upon being summoned prevents Heroes from killing each other no matter how powerful they are or how much they want to. This sometimes leads to amusing events in paralogues and Forging Bonds where a villainous hero discovers their attacks do nothing, then spend their time being mad about it.
* SingleLineOfDescent: Contrasting the Emblian BigScrewedUpFamily, there is no mention of either Alfonse or Sharena having living relatives beyond their parents, and Gustav acts much like [[HeirClubForMen Alfonse is the only possible heir to the Askran throne]].
* StartingUnits: The Askran trio are the first units that the player acquires.
* TwoGirlsAndAGuy: Alfonse, Sharena, and Anna fit this criteria.
* ThemeNaming:
** The personal weapons of the Askrans are usually named after Halls of the Gods in Myth/NorseMythology.
** Askr was the name of the first male human in Myth/NorseMythology.

->''"Yes. I'm sorry, Ash. You are right. It has been such a long time since I spoke with mortals, I forgot myself!"''

One of the two dragon gods of Midgard, Askr created the Kingdom of Openness, Askr. Born in the World-Tree Yggdrasill, he has the power to open the gateway to all worlds. In July 2022 he was released as a Mythic Hero of Light.

* ActionInitiative:
** His regular version's Illuminating Horn grants them a guaranteed follow-up attack if he either initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally. His Opened Domain also grants himself and all allies within 2 spaces of him the [Resonance: Shields] status effects if he is within 2 spaces of an ally from a different ''Fire Emblem'' title, where in addition to granting +4 Def/Res during combat prevent the foe from performing any follow-up attacks during the first battle the user participates in each player and enemy phase.
** New Year Duo Askr & Embla's Duality Vessel grants them a guaranteed follow-up attack if they are within 3 spaces of an ally.
* AdvertisedExtra: Unfortunately, despite being prominently featured in the Book VI midpoint opening video, he only appeared and had a major role in two chapters, [[spoiler:and in the second chapter where he shows up, he sacrifices himself]]. He still [[spoiler:shows up in Embla's memories in chapter 13]], but it's not a physical appearance.
* BigDamnHeroes:
** In the "Book VI - Destiny Closes In" movie, his arrival saves his retainer from Embla, as well as Alfonse from Embla's darkness.
** In Book IV Chapter 9, [[spoiler:he purges Embla's influence from Prince Bruno and rescues the Order of Heroes, though at the cost of some of his power, which was already lacking when he entered Embla's realm, but it was enough to stave off Embla for him, Prince Bruno, and the Order of Heroes to escape to the realm of Askr at the end of the chapter.]]
* BigGood: Of the Kingdom of Askr and the Order of Heroes, being their benevolent patron god.
* CooldownManipulation:
** His regular version's Illuminating Horn give him -1 maximum special cooldown. He also has Opened Domain, which allows him to give -1 special cooldown to himself and all allies within 2 spaces of him if he is within 2 spaces of an ally that is from a different ''Fire Emblem'' title than him and are at maximum special cooldown.
** New Year Duo Askr & Embla's Duality Vessel give them -1 maximum special cooldown and inflicts the Inverted variant on the foe where they inflict -1 special buildup per attack if they are within 3 spaces of an ally. Their Duo skill gives -1 special cooldown to themselves and all allies within 2 spaces of them, and can be activated again every third turn if they already activate it.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff:
** His regular version has Atk/Def Bulwark 3, which, in addition to limiting movement of melee foes from passing through space adjacent to him and ranged foes from spaces within 2 spaces of him and recovering 7 HP after combat, inflicts -4 Atk/Def on the foe during combat.
** New Year Duo Askr & Embla has Atk/Res Tempo 3, which inflicts -3 Atk/Res on the foe during combat.
* DamageReduction:
** His regular version's Illuminating Horn allows him to reduces damage taken from attacks equal to 20% of his Def during combat if he either initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally.
** New Year Duo Askr & Embla's Duality Vessel allows them to damage taken from attacks equal to 20% of their Def during combat and reduces damage taken from non-Røkkr AOE specials equal to 1.5x the difference between their Def and their foe's Def if they have higher Def if they are within 3 spaces of an ally.
* DragonsAreDivine: He's the dragon god of Askr, taking the form of a bull.
* {{Egopolis}}: The Kingdom of Askr is named after him.
* {{Foil}}: To Embla. Askr has the ability to open gates and portals to other realms, while Embla has the power to close off portals and to trap others in a void. This is reflected in their personalities; Askr is friendly, cheerful, optimistic and idealistic, willing to open up to others, while Embla is cruel, gloomy, pessimistic and cynical, preferring to close herself off. Additionally, while Askr understands that HumansAreFlawed, he chooses to believe in them until the very end; in contrast, Embla believes that HumansAreBastards and loses her faith in them.
* HealThyself: His regular version has Atk/Def Bulwark 3, which, in addition to limiting movement of melee foes from passing through space adjacent to him and ranged foes from spaces within 2 spaces of him and inflicts -4 Atk/Def on the foe during combat, allows him to recover 7 HP after combat.
* HornAttack: His regular version uses his Illuminating Horns to ram into his foes while he is transformed. Said horns gives him -1 maximum special cooldown, gives him +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat, allows him to perform a guaranteed follow-up attack, deals extra damage equal to 20% of his Def and reduces damage taken from foe's attacks equal to 20% of his Def, all which activates if he either initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, and the standard 6.0.0 Infantry Beast effect of transforming him if he either is not adjacent to any allies or is only adjacent to Dragon or Beast allies, and granting him +2 Atk, +7 damage when an attacking special triggers, and ignore skills that inflict -X special buildup on him and +X special buildup on his foes during combat if he is transformed.
* HornedHumanoid: Askr has two large bull horns on his head. Fittingly, he transforms into a giant bison.
* InformedAttribute: Despite being called the dragon of Askr, he is a counted as a Beast unit.
* {{Irony}}: The "God of Openness" has the skill Atk/Def Bulwark 3, which acts like a beefed-up Obstruct, meaning that he is pretty good at keeping enemies from approaching his allies.
* LifeDrain: New Year Duo Askr & Embla has Def/Res Finish 4, where it allows them to restore 7 HP per attack they perform if they are within 3 spaces of an ally.
* LightningBruiser: While his statline paints him as a MightyGlacier, his weapons grants him guaranteed follow-up attacks, his C skill can deny enemy follow-ups, and his regular version's B skill and New Year Duo variant's A skill heals off the damage he takes, making him a fearsome juggernaut.
* LightIsGood: Regular Askr is a Light Mythic Hero, and is the patron god of Askr and the Order of Heroes.
* LikeADaughterToMe: [[spoiler:He considers Ash to be his daughter, which she at first tries to deny but embraces it]] as he [[spoiler:is dying from performing the Rite of Opening.]]
* LittleBitBeastly: He has two large bull horns, bull ears, and a tail.
* MightyGlacier:
** His regular version has by default outstanding Atk and Def at 43 and average HP at 40 and Res at 31, but below average Spd at 26.
** New Year Duo Askr & Embla has by default fantastic Atk and Def at 42, great Res at 37, and average HP at 40, but poor Spd at 16.
* MyGreatestFailure: He seems to view his inability to help [[spoiler:Embla overcome her paranoia and distrust of mortals]] to be this. Not that this won't stop him from helping the heroes, but he does wish they could have settled things peacefully.
* NiceGuy: Despite being a god, he's compassionate, friendly and surprisingly down-to-earth.
* NoSell:
** His regular version's Illuminating Horns has the standard 6.0.0 Infantry Beast effect of ignoring skills that inflict -X special buildup on him and +X special buildup on his foes during combat if he is transformed.
** New Year Duo Askr & Embla has Atk/Res Tempo 3, which ignores skills that inflict -X special buildup on them and +X special buildup on their foes during combat.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: He's a dragon with bovine-like features.
* PoorCommunicationKills: He tried to explain to Embla why her people left her, but she refused to hear him out.
* PreMortemOneLiner:

-->''"Felicitations!"'' (''Gods Renewed'')
--->'''Embla:''' ''"I care not."'' (''Gods Renewed'')
* SacrificialLamb: In Book VI, Chapter 10, [[spoiler:he uses up his own life to create the Yggdrasill Key to give the Order of Heroes a chance to defeat Embla, though he hides his passing from them except Ash]].
* SecretArt: He has Opened Domain, which if he is within 2 spaces of an ally that is from a different ''Fire Emblem'' title than him at the start of his turn, he gives himself and all allies within 2 spaces of him the [Resonance: Blades] and [Resonance: Shields] status effects, as well as -1 special cooldown if they are at maximum special cooldown.
* SignificantNameOverlap: The Kingdom of Askr is named after Askr the God. Askr appreciates that the kingdom is still named after him, but notes the [[AvertedTrope aversion]] to OneSteveLimit can be confusing.
* SituationalDamageAttack: His regular version's Illuminating Horn allows him to deal damage equal to 20% of his Def during combat, so the more Def he has during combat the more true damage he will deal.
* StatusBuff:
** His regular version's Illuminating Horn grants him +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if he either initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally. He also has Atk/Def Ideal 4, which gives him +7 Atk/Def during combat if he either is at full HP at the start of combat or a [Bonus] is active on him during combat and an extra +2 Atk/Def during combat if both conditions are met, and Opened Domain allows him to grant the [Resonance: Blades] and [Resonance: Shields] status effects to himself and all allies within 2 spaces of him at the start of his turn if he is within 2 spaces of an ally that is from a different ''Fire Emblem'' title than him.
** With his regular version, as a Mythic Hero of Light, if an ally has an Light Blessing during Light season in Aether Raids, he gives them +5 HP/Def if they're on the battlefield, which can be stacked with other Mythic Heroes of Light, including copies of himself.
** New Year Duo Askr & Embla's Duality Vessel grants them +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if they are within 3 spaces of an ally. They also have Def/Res Finish 4, which grants them +7 Def/Res during combat if they are within 3 spaces of an ally, their Duo Skill grants themselves +6 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to themselves and all allies within 2 spaces of them, and they have the above Opened Domain.
* UnseenNoMore: Mentioned since Book I as the Kingdom's namesake, he finally appears in person in Book VI.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: [[spoiler:He makes his first appearance in Book VI, Chapter 9, only to die one chapter later. Downplayed however, in that he he does make appearances in Chapter 13 via flashbacks, and received a New Year variant along with Embla.]]
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: His regular version transforms into a giant bison to attack his foes, and so is counted as a Beast unit in gameplay.

My heart is nearly beating out of my chest... How can I expect to accomplish this mission alone? Nevertheless, I must not give in to my doubts... The retainer for the god Askr, who was sent by him to Midgard to aid the Order of Heroes. She is a Mythic Hero of Light.

----
* ActionInitiative:
** Her regular version's Horn of Opening, in addition to granting her +6 Atk and inflicting -6 Atk on the foe during combat, guarantees her a follow-up attack if there are 2 or more allies within 3 spaces of her, and denies any of her foe's follow-up attacks with at least 3 allies within that range.
** Her New Year variant's Heralding Horn allows her to attack twice in one round if there is at least one ally within 3 spaces of her and either she has Triangle Advantage over her foe or the foe initiates combat, and prevent the foe from making any follow-up attacks if there is at least 3 allies within 3 spaces of her, both which activates if the foe either initiates combat or is at 75% HP or above at the start of combat.
* AdvertisedExtra: Ash was advertised as Book VI's ArcHeroine, but her overal role in the plot is minimal, and the chapter is more focused on Veronica than Ash. By the time the Book VI midpoint was reached, she was replaced by Legendary Veronica on the app's icon, but Ash herself still appears in the startup screen until Book VII, despite her role in the story being severely reduced by chapter 8.
* AnArmAndALeg: Non-physical variation. [[spoiler:Though she can reverse Embla's dark voids, it strains her body so much that she temporarily loses the function of one leg, and theorizes that she can do it four more times before it completely shuts off, which makes her a SacrificialLamb of sorts.]]
* ArcHeroine: Subverted. She's presented as the central heroine of Book VI, but as the story progresses it quickly becomes apparent that this is Veronica and Bruno's story and she fades into the background. Still, she remains the recurrent fourth member of the party for new banner videos as usual.
* BewareMyStingerTail: In beast form, her tail can fire laser beams.
* CounterAttack: Her New Year variant has Distant Reversal, which, in addition to granting her +5 Def during combat if the foe initiates combat, allows her to counterattack ranged foes.
* CuteClumsyGirl: Her intro video has her falling down from the sky with no way to stop her fall, only to get caught by the Summoner. And when she attacks, she trips (Sumia style) but launches herself so high before using her cow bell scepter to call forth lightning.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff:
** Her regular version has Lull Atk/Def 3, which allows her to inflict -3 Atk/Def on the foe during combat, as well ignore any field stat buffs they have on those stats during combat.
** Her New Year variant has Atk/Def Bulwark 3, which, in addition to limiting movement of melee foes from passing through space adjacent to her and ranged foes from spaces within 2 spaces of her and recovering 7 HP after combat, inflicts -4 Atk/Def on the foe during combat.
* DamageReduction: Her New Year variant's Heralding Horn allows her to reduces damage taken from the foe's first attack by 40% if the foe either initiates combat or is at 75% HP or above at the start of combat and there are at least 2 allies within 3 spaces of her.
* DecoyProtagonist: She is presented as the focus heroine of Book VI, but her actual effect on the plot quickly fades away midway through.
* EnergyWeapon: She attacks in her cow form by firing a laser from her tail.
* {{Foil}}: To Elm. Ash is kind and very wordy, while Elm is rude and goes straight to the point. Additionally, Ash is clad in a white-and-blue outfit, while Elm is clad in a dark-and-red outfit.
* GoingCommando: Her model in cutscenes heavily implies she doesn't wear any underwear, since they aren't visible from behind despite her pants only starting partway down her butt to leave her tail unrestricted. This is probably because underwear would also get in the way of her tail.
* HealThyself: Her New Year variant has Atk/Def Bulwark, which, in addition to limiting movement of melee foes from passing through space adjacent to her and ranged foes from spaces within 2 spaces of her and inflicts -4 Atk/Def on the foe during combat, allows her to recover 7 HP after combat.
* HornedHumanoid: She has two short horns on her. Fittingly, she transforms into a giant cow to attack, which said horns are larger and more impressive.
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: In terms of her design. She is actually extremely meek, easily flustered, and not provocative at all. But her outfit clings quite tightly to her curvy body and concept art shows that her bare back is shown down to almost her hips to accommodate her tail. Given that her designer (Yusuke Kozaki) joked with the ''Fire Emblem'' developers once about notable MsFanservice Camilla's horns resembling a cow's, her design may have been intended to appear fanservicey through its bovine theme.
* LastOfHerKind: [[spoiler:Upon Askr's sacrifice for doing the Rite of Opening, she becomes the only known Askr deity still alive.]]
* LightIsGood: Ash is a Light Mythic Hero, and sides with the Order of Heroes during Book VI.
* MeaningfulName: Ash's name is a translation of "Askr" to English, which means "ash tree" in Old Norse.
* MightyGlacier:
** Her regular version has fantastic Def at 41 and Atk at 39, good Res at 34 and average HP at 41, but below average Spd at 27.
** Her New year variant has outstanding Atk and Def at 44, fantastic Res at 40, and average HP at 41, but low Spd at 19.
* NoSell: Her regular version's Horn of Opening and New Year version's Heralding Horns have the standard 6.0.0 Infantry Beast effect of ignoring skills that inflict -X special buildup on her and +X special buildup on her foes during combat if she is transformed.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: In Chapter 12 of Book VI, Ash observes how similar Elm is to her in their loyalty to their respective masters.
* OutOfFocus: Despite being TheHeroine of Book VI, Ash has very little in the way of actual importance. Most of the story of Book VI largely focused on Veronica, and despite being the poster character for it, she has almost no importance after her introduction save for very minor cameo like speaking roles. Tellingly, after the Mid-point update, Veronica replaces her as the games icon, and Ash basically ceases to have any story relevance.
* ThePowerOfFriendship:
** Her regular Horn of Opening grants her +6 Atk and inflicts -6 Atk on the foe during combat if there is an ally within 3 spaces of her, and allows her to perform a guaranteed follow-up attack if there is at least 2 allies within 3 spaces of her and deny any of the foe's follow-up attack with at least 3 allies within that range. She also has Atk/Def Unity, where if she is within 2 spaces of an ally, she gains +5 Atk/Def during combat, as well as effectively reversing any field stat debuffs on her Atk and Def, where for example if she has -4 Atk and -7 Def, she gains +8 Atk and +14 Def during combat, effectively gaining +4 Atk and +7 Def on top of the +5 Atk/Def, and Opening Retainer allows allies within 2 spaces of her to warp to a space within that range of her, grants +4 Atk to all allies within 2 spaces of her during combat, and grants her the same boost in combat when they do.
** Her New Year variant's Heralding Horn, in addition to granting her +6 Atk and inflicts -6 Atk on the foe during combat if the foe either initates combat or is at 75% HP or above at the start of combat, grants her additional effects under the same conditions if there are a certain amount of allies within 3 spaces of her, where at least 1 allows her to attack twice in one round if either she has Triangle Advantage over her foe or the foe initiates combat, at least 2 reduces damage taken from the foe's first attack by 40%, and at least 3 prevent the foe from making any follow-up attacks, as well as having the above Opening Retainer.

''"I remain at your side!"'' (''Gods Renewed'')\\
''"I-I do not offer much..."'' (''Gods Renewed'')\\
''"We ought to celebrate!"'' (''Gods Renewed'')
* SecretArt: She has Opening Retainer exclusive to her, which allows any allies within 2 spaces of her to warp to a space within 2 spaces of her, grants +4 Atk to all allies within 2 spaces of her during combat; she gets that too.
* ShipTease: Seems to have a slight bit with the Summoner in Book VI's opening movie where she blushes after she's caught by them.
* SpockSpeak: When she talks, she has a tendency to give out as much info about the situation as she knows. Furthermore she doesn't really like to mince her words, so her explanations end up being rather drawn-out where even other characters try to cut her off, such as her status screen line of her thanking the Order of Heroes having her fades out before she can fully finish her sentence.
* StatusBuff:
** Her regular version's Horn of Opening grants her +6 Atk during combat if she is within 3 spaces of an ally. She also has Atk/Def Unity, where if she is within 2 spaces of an ally, she gains +5 Atk/Def during combat, as well as effectively reversing any field stat debuffs on her Atk and Def, where for example if she has -4 Atk and -7 Def, she gains +8 Atk and +14 Def during combat, effectively gaining +4 Atk and +7 Def on top of the +5 Atk/Def, and Opening Retainer, which grants +4 Atk to all allies within 2 spaces of her during combat, and she gains +4 Atk during combat if she is within 2 spaces of an ally.
** With her regular version, as a Mythic Hero of Light, if an ally has an Light Blessing during Light season in Aether Raids, she gives them +5 HP and +3 Atk if they're on the battlefield, which can be stacked with other Mythic Heroes of Light, including copies of herself.
** Her New Year variant's Heralding Horn grants her +6 Atk during combat if the foe either initiates combat or is at 75% HP or above at the start of combat. She also has Distant Reversal, which gives her +5 Def during combat if the foe initiates combat, and the above Opening Retainer.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: She transforms into a giant cow to attack her foes, and so is counted as a Beast unit in gameplay.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Her fate at the conclusion of Book VI is largely glossed over. She appears briefly to comment on her status, then doesn't reappear in the final cutscene to suggest her fate, and nobody comments on her at all. However, she has made some appearances in Forging Bonds since then, confirming that she is fine and well.

The king of Askr, and Alfonse and Sharena's father. When Múspell invades Askr, he leads the knights of the realm in the kingdom's defense. After the conflict with Múspell, he personally calls Alfonse to discuss both the forces of Hel and how to be a good ruler to his people, noting that his time is limited.

----
* ActionInitiative:
** Enemy Gustav has Glitnir, which grants him a guaranteed follow-up attack if he initiates combat and the foe can counterattack.
** Valentine Gustav has Crafty Fighter, where he gains a guaranteed follow-up attack if the foe initiates combat and he has 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
** Fallen Gustav has Headsman Glitnir, which grants him a guaranteed follow-up attack if he is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat and the foe either initiates combat or can counterattack. He also has Atk Smoke 4, which grants him [Follow-Up Denial] status effect, which prevents the foe from performing a follow-up attack, after combat until the start of his next turn.
* AndIMustScream: [[spoiler:After being made into Hel's servant, he tells the Order of Heroes in Book III Chapter 5 that his body is moving against his will, and orders Alfonse not to hesitate in taking him down.]]
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:After getting killed ''twice'' in Book III, undead Gustav is summoned back in the land of the living by Kiran. So in other words the king of Askr is back... except he's a zombie now.]]
* BaritoneOfStrength: The tough king of Askr, with a very deep voice to match, courtesy of Creator/JojiNakata and Creator/EdwardBosco.
* CameBackWrong: [[spoiler:After killing him in Book Chapter 4, Hel brings him back as one of her zombie minions, albeit unwillingly in Book III Chapter 5.]]
* TheChainsOfCommanding: Gustav is very stern and stoic to his children because of his status as king, but make no mistake, he cares for them deeply. His rocky relationship with Alfonse is more of a [[HiddenHeartOfGold facade]] as he tries to drill the do's and don'ts of kingship into him and get him to think on a larger scale, before his recklessness causes a tragedy similar to his.
* CooldownManipulation:
** His Valentine variant has the Inverted version with Crafty Fighter, where in addition to giving him a guaranteed follow-up attack, he inflicts -1 special buildup on the foe per attack.
** His Fallen variant's Headsman Glitnir, in addition to granting -1 maximum special cooldown, allows him to gain +1 special buildup per attack during combat as well as inflict -1 special buildup per attack if he is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
* CynicismCatalyst: According to Henriette, he was once as recklessly heroic as Alfonse until a certain incident that she doesn't want to elaborate on. [[spoiler:Chapter 4 Book III reveals that his father was killed by Hel, putting responsibilities as a king suddenly on his shoulders.]]
* DamageIncreasingDebuff:
** Valentine Gustav has Loyalist Axe, which allows him to inflict -6 Atk/Def on the foe during combat if the foe either initiates combat or has 75% HP or above at the start of combat.
** Fallen Gustav has Headsman Glitnir, which allows him to inflict -5 Atk/Spd/Def on the foe during combat if he is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat. He also has A/D Near Trace, which allows him to inflict -3 Atk/Def on the foe during combat.
* DamageReduction: His Valentine variant's Loyalist Axe allows him to reduces damage taken from the foe's first attack by 75% if the foe can perform a follow up attack and the foe either initiates combat or has 75% HP or more at the start of combat.
* EveryScarHasAStory: He received that diagonal scar on his face around 20 years ago when he encountered Hel before her forces were seal off. Fortunately, he calls it just blind luck that he ''only'' received that scar and nothing else, considering that he just encountered death itself.
* FaceMonsterTurn: [[spoiler:After his death in Book III, he is turned into one of Hel's thralls against his will, with his mind unable to control his body.]]
* FallenHero: Fallen Gustav qualifies as one, as [[spoiler:he is a resurrected corpse that is controlled by Hel]]. He's also one of the few ''Heroes'' characters to receive a Fallen variant.
* FantasyForbiddingFather: He was the one who objected to Alfonse joining the Order of Heroes, and Alfonse notes that he won't see him yet because of that. It is very likely that Gustav wants his heir to be a great ruler first before becoming a great knight.
* FourIsDeath: [[spoiler:He dies at the end of Book III Chapter '''4'''.]]
* TheGhost: He is first mentioned in Book II Chapter 3, but doesn't appear onscreen until Book III.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: A benevolent ruler with a diagonal scar across his face. He reveals to Alfonse in Book III Chapter 3 that he received that scar 20 years ago after his encounter with Hel, but he considers it blind luck he only received that scar, [[spoiler:something that Alfonse isn't so lucky with when his turn comes to encounter Hel.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:At the end of Book III Chapter 4, he takes a fatal blow for his son after learning that the curse Hel inflicted upon him is related to blood, not the specific person itself. It is implied that Gustav's own father did this to him as well with the same curse.]]
* HitAndRunTactics: His Fallen variant has A/D Near Trace, which, in addition to allowing him to inflict -3 Atk/Def on the foe during combat, gives him [Canto (Rem. +1)], which allows him to move spaces equal to the remainder of the spaces he did not use yet plus one after taking an action once per turn.
* {{Irony}}: Gustav did not trust Heroes from other worlds and was against Alfonse and Sharena joining the Order of Heroes. [[spoiler:He is now a member of the Order of Heroes and a Hero himself]].
* JerkassHasAPoint: In Book III Chapter 2, while Alfonse's actions end up saving a town, Gustav harshly berates him for doing something so reckless that a single misstep would've meant death. He quickly backs up the admonishment however: while losing a town full of innocents would be a tragedy, it wouldn't be nearly as bad as Askr losing its crown prince while its king doesn't have many years left, which would throw the kingdom into mass panic.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While he chastises Alfonse for recklessly going out and fighting his own battles in other realms [[spoiler:and later accepted that Alfonse will die to Hel's curse with no way of preventing it in sight]], deep down he loves his son and would have it no other way. [[spoiler:It was after he figured out the nature of Hel's curse that he dies in Alfonse's place, stating that he was proud of him, hoping that Alfonse would be a great king.]]
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:His life ends at the hands of Hel, [[HeroicSacrifice saving his son from her scythe at the last minute]] at the end of Book III Chapter 4.]]
* LateArrivalSpoiler: His Fallen variant reveals that [[spoiler:he was revived by Hel and was ReforgedIntoAMinion]], where his Fallen variant was released around 3 years after the end of Book III.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: He used to be as passionate in saving people as Alfonse until an incident changed his worldview.
* ManlyFacialHair: He has a full beard, and he's tough enough to personally lead the knights of the realm.
* MightyGlacier:
** His enemy version packs very high Atk (helped by Glitnir's effective 19 Mt), good HP, decent Def, and has the 3-Space moment of a Cavalry unit to help him traverse large areas of the battlefield at a time. However, his Spd and Res are lacking. Fortunately for him, Glitnir's effect helps him all but negate his Spd deficit when engaging foes, which can turn Gustav into a deadly LightningBruiser.
** His Valentine version has outstanding Def at 46, fantastic Atk at 41, great HP at 49, and average Res at 31, but poor Spd at 18.
** His Fallen version has fantastic Atk at 41, great Def at 38, average HP at 40 and Res at 30, but below average Spd at 25.
* TheNeedsOfTheMany: His actions are based on how many people he can save, meaning he's willing to make sacrifices in the short term if more people will be saved in the long term. [[spoiler:It's this mindset that ultimately saves his son's life in Book III, at the cost of his own, stating that Alfonse is ready to be a king, despite all the mistakes he has made.]]
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Due to the fact that his Fallen version [[spoiler:reuses most of the assets he already had in Book III, Chapter 5]], he doesn't have any of the trademark Fallen Hero design aspects such as the sinister aura.
* PapaWolf: He may be stern at times, but he will ''not'' let harm befall his children, [[spoiler:given how he doesn't hesitate to sacrifice his own life for his son's sake in Book III.]]
* PlayingWithFire:
** His Valentine variant has Ignis by default, where it will boost his damage equal to 80% of his Def during combat when it activates.
** His Fallen variant has Bonfire by default, where it will boost his damage equal to 50% of his Def during combat when it activates.
* PreMortemOneLiner: Interestingly, the first voice lines are shared between his enemy and Valentine versions.
-->''"Out of my sight!"'' (''Love of a King'')\\
''"Know the strength of Askr!"'' (''Love of a King'')\\
''"For our people!"'' (''Love of a King'')\\
''"To open the way!"'' (''Love of a King'')\\
''"Strike me."'' (''Beyond Control'')\\
''"You must understand."'' (''Beyond Control'')\\
''"Not good enough, I'm afraid."'' (''Beyond Control'')\\
''"Give it your all!"'' (''Beyond Control'')
* PromotedToPlayable:
** He received a playable variant in the Valentine's Day 2021 event.
** His Fallen variant is of a sort a playable version of [[spoiler:his enemy variant's appearance as a boss in Book III.]]
* RecurringElement: He's the father of Alfonse and Sharena, is experienced on the battlefield, and is also the king of Askr. As expected of every ''Fire Emblem'' father figure, [[spoiler:he dies, this time by [[SacrificialLion shielding Alfonse from Hel's attack]] in Book III.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: [[spoiler:His eyes are originally blue, but he gains glowing red eyes after being made a servant of Hel in Book III.]]
* ReforgedIntoAMinion: [[spoiler:After Hel murders him in Book III, she makes him one of her generals, against his own will.]]
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: When Múspell invades the kingdom in Book II, he personally leads the Askran defense. Before that, he was the one who lead against the forces of Hel 20 years ago, finally sealing the gateway of Hel before it was weakened enough for Hel to invade again.
* SacrificialLamb: [[spoiler:Introduced as early as Book III Chapter 2, and is killed by Hel two chapters later to save Alfonse. After he's defeated once he was resurrected as a Hel general, Gustav disappears for the rest of the story, aside from a brief mentions.]]
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: Much more down-to-Earth and serious than his wife Henriette.
* SecretlyDying: [[spoiler:Henriette tells her children after Gustav died that he was ill and didn't have much time left, but was putting on a brave face and hid it in front of everyone. It was one of the reasons why he did not hesitate to sacrifice his own life in order to save his son in Book III Chapter 4.]]
* SomeoneHasToDie: [[spoiler:He figures out the nature of Hel's death curse, in that someone from the inflicted's bloodline has to die, rather than the person themselves. Gustav sacrificed his own life to Hel's curse rather than his son in Book III Chapter 4, considering his duty as a king and a father to protect his son and make him king in his place, implying that he has a few years left, compared to Alfonse's potential decades ahead of him.]]
* StatusBuff:
** His enemy variant has Glitnir, where it gives him +6 Atk during combat if he initiates combat and foe wields a melee weapon.
** His Valentine variant has Close Def 4, where he gains +8 Def/Res during combat and ignore any of the foe's field stat buffs if the foe initiates combat and wields a melee weapon. He also has D/R Near Save, where in addition to activaing Saivor, he gains +4 Def/Res during combat if he activates Savior.
** His Fallen variant has Atk/Def Catch 4, where it grants him +7 Atk/Def during combat if the foe either has a [Penalty] active on them or is at full HP at the start of combat, and an additional +2 Atk/Def during combat if both conditions are met. He also has Atk Smoke 4, where it grants him +6 Def/Res and the [Follow-Up Denial] status effect after combat.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: He resembles an aged version of Alfonse.
* TakeMeInstead: [[spoiler:At the end of Book III Chapter 4, he lets Hel take his life instead of Alfonse's one, as he figured out of the nature of Hel's curse in that the bloodline of the person it is inflicted on is needed, rather than the person itself. Given that he was ill and only had a short time left, he did not hesitate to have his life taken from him to save Alfonse.]]
* TakingTheBullet:
** [[spoiler:At the end of Book III Chapter 4, he shields a fatal blow for his son from Hel due to figuring out the nature of her curse.]]
** His Valentine variant has D/R Near Save, where if the foe initiates combat on an ally within 2 spaces of the user and the foe wields a melee weapon, he activates Savior, which allows him to take the place and space of that ally and gains +4 Def/Res during combat, and take any after combat effects from the foe's skills and returns to his original position, but does not activate if that ally is occupying an intraverable space for Valentine Gustav or if there is another ally equipped with a Near Save skill and meet the same conditions.
* ThemeNaming: Glitnir is the hall of Forseti, the Norse god of justice, which is symbolic of the importance discussion being used to resolve conflict, rather than violence.
* UndeathlyPallor: [[spoiler:His skin takes an unnaturally pale tone after he becomes one of Hel's thralls in Book III, and his color scheme in general becomes more muted. This follows suit with his Fallen variant.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: Many of the tropes here serve as a big indication on what happens to him and his son in Book III; namely, that [[spoiler:he sacrifices his life to save Alfonse from Hel's curse, and is later made into one of her minions]].
* YouKilledMyFather: [[spoiler:In Book III Chapter 4, it's revealed that his father was killed by Hel, and that his death resulted in him both becoming king and becoming wiser. It's implied he tried to go battle Hel, but later finds it futile to go against death itself.]]

* ApologeticAttacker: One of her critical quotes is her apologizing to her victim.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Her Valentine variant has Unity Blooms+, where she inflicts -5 Atk/Res during combat to the target if she is within 2 spaces of an ally.
* DamselInDistress: Very briefly becomes this in Book V, Chapter 8, when Fafnir attacks her, but Alfonse intervenes just in time before any actual damage can be done.
* DotingParent: Unlike Gustav, Henriette likes to dote both Sharena and Alfonse, to the point that she would care for Alfonse's wounds, despite him being an experienced fighter and adult.
* TheGhost: She was mentioned by her children, but did not have a name or appearance until Book III.
* HartmanHips: Her Valentine variant has her wear a dress that accentuate her curves.
* HiddenDepths: She is clearly hiding something powerful within her, if her critical quotes are anything to go by.
* TheHighQueen: Henriette is the benevolent and kind queen of Askr who cares about her people just as much as her husband Gustav does.
* AnIcePerson: Her Valentine variant has Iceberg, where it will boost her damage equal to 50% of her Res during combat when it activates.
* LifeDrain: Her Valentine variant has Unity Blooms+ allows her to recover 4 HP per attack she performs if she is within 2 spaces of an ally.
* MamaBear: She will ''not'' let any harm befall her children even if something happens to her, as a quote from her Valentine variant shows.
-->''"It doesn't matter what happens to me... as long as my children are safe."''
* MightyGlacier: Her Valentine variant has fantastic Atk and Res at 40, good Def at 35, and above average HP at 42, but poor Spd at 18.
* NoSell: Her Valentine variant has Slick Fighter, where in addition to granting her a guaranteed follow-up attack, allows her to ignore any penalties inflicted on her during combat if the foe initiates combat and she is at 25% HP or above at the start of combat.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Her Valentine variant wields Unity Bloom+, where she inflicts -5 Atk/Res on the foe during combat, as well as allowing her to recover 4 HP per attacks she performs if she is within 2 spaces of an ally.
* PreMortemOneLiner:

''"That power... Never again."''\\
''"I '''am''' holding back."''\\
''"I apologize."''
* PromotedToPlayable: She received a playable variant in the Valentine's Day 2021 event.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: Much more upbeat and cheerful than her husband Gustav.
* SpellBook: She carries a tome in her art, but currently, she is not shown using it.
* StatuesqueStunner: She's 180cm tall, the same height as her son, and she's quite the beautiful woman.
* StatusBuff: Her Valentine variant has Distant Def 4, where she gains +8 Def/Res during combat and ignore any of the foe's field stat buffs if the foe initiates combat and wields a ranged weapon. She also has A/R Far Save, where in addition to activaing Saivor, she gains +4 Atk/Res during combat if ahe activates Saivor.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: She looks like an older Sharena, and even has a similar cheerful personality. This gets lampshaded in the "Shared Purpose" Forging Bonds, when Henriette impersonates her daughter Sharena. Ronan and Tanya point out that the two bear a striking resemblance.
* TakingTheBullet: Her Valentine variant has A/R Far Save, where if the foe initiates combat on an ally within 2 spaces of the user and the foe wields a ranged weapon, she activates Savior, which allows her to take the place and space of that ally and gains +4 Atk/Res during combat, and take any after combat effects from the foe's skills and returns to her original position, but does not activate if that ally is occupying an intraverable space for Valentine Henriette or if there is another ally equipped with a Far Save skill and meet the same conditions.
* WillfullyWeak: Her Valentine variant has her telling her opponent in her critical quotes that she is holding back and is fearing that she's losing control, meaning that she is hiding her true power, despite in her castle quotes that she says she is not a good warrior and in the "Shared Purpose" Forging Bonds that she states that she cannot take to the battlefield like the Order of Heroes.

The PlayerCharacter who Anna summons from another world, brought to the world of Zenith to fight against the Emblian Empire. They discover that they can use the gun-shaped artifact called Breidablik to summon and command Heroes.
->'''Artist:''' Yusuke Kozaki (normal), Tsukkii (ツッキー) / INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS ("Near and Dear" version)
->'''Class:''' Red/Blue/Green/Colorless Mage, Sword/Lance/Axe Fighter (''Heroes'', normal), Sword Fighter (''Heroes'', "Near and Dear" version), Summoner (''[[TabletopGame/FireEmblemCipher Cipher]]'')
----
* AbnormalAmmo: The Summoner uses a gun-like object called "Breidablik" that fires portals from which Heroes emerge. They later have access to four versions of the ranged Breidablik, all of which fires a giant ball of lightning.
* AllLovingHero: Implied by several Lvl. 40 conversations that talk about the summoner as being kind to everyone in the army.
* AllYourPowersCombined: The Summoner may freely select the skills of any Hero in their barracks for use in battle.
* AmbiguousGender: Unlike the previous player character tacticians, ''Fire Emblem Heroes'' doesn't allow you to select your character's gender, and the game [[GenderInclusiveWriting writes all of the dialogue and interactions with the player as gender neutral]]. Averted in localizations that [[PronounTrouble can't get away with that]], where the game will prompt the player to select their gender alongside their name. [[PurelyAestheticGender Not that it changes anything]]. Updates later on allows the player to choose one of nine Summoner portraits: 4 are male, 4 are female, and one remains ambiguous, though it still has no effect on the dialogue.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: The Summoner can have dark skin, but no defined race.
* BoyishShortHair: Appearance 5 depicts a female Summoner with short, light brown hair.
* CanonName: The Summoner's default name is Kiran if you don't [[HelloInsertNameHere choose to come up with a name for them]].
* CharacterCustomization:
** In localizations that rely on gender for pronouns, you can choose your summoner's gender.
** Updates lets you pick one of nine portraits.
* ChickMagnet: The Summoner gets a lot of ShipTease with various Heroes of both genders. During their special 5* conversations, many Heroes talk about sensitive topics you'd expect to only happen between very close friends/lovers, or they confess their desire to stay with the Summoner. A couple Heroes, such as Genny, Bride Cordelia, and Plumeria, also talk in terms that can easily be taken as roundabout confessions. Fjorm is very notably shown to be attracted to the Summoner, based on both Chibi Playhouse and her song, and Gullveig is the first character who outright says that she loves the Summoner.
* TheChosenOne: Discussed in Pent's S-Support in the Bond of Trust Forging Bonds event, where he says the Summoner was likely summoned to Askr to defeat a powerful foe, almost that of a god. Given how the story unfolded as of now, it seems likely that this god in question is Alfaðör.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: All the Breidabliks inflict -4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat to all foes within 2 spaces of the user.
* DecapitatedArmy:
** The Summoner is the source of almost all of the Order of Heroes' army, so taking them out of the equation is an easy way to defeat the Order. [[spoiler:This is actually done by Hel in the alternate Askr, with an added bonus: it turns out that Angrboða's Heart--an artifact that can kill immortals, and thus, Hel's one weakness--was a ''Breidablik upgrade'', which meant only the Summoner could use it correctly... which is why Eir was tasked with killing them. With no more Heroes and no one able to properly wield the Heart ("Líf"/Alfonse's desperate attempt to make it work just made things ''worse''), Hel crushes the alternate Askr with no competition.]]
** Subverted in Book V. The Summoner ends up kidnapped for several chapters, but the Order of Heroes is capable of mounting a rescue effort all on their own without the Summoner's help.
* DittoFighter: In Mjölnir's Strike, they can copy inheritable weapons, assist, special, and skills of any heroes in the player's barracks that are not {{Secret Art}}s, such as Death Blow 3 from Regular Alfonse, Drive Atk 2 from Regular Fjorm, and the Firesweep Sword+ from Soleil, with the limitations placed due to the Summoner being an Infantry unit that can wield a Tome, Sword, Lance, or Axe, such as being unable to equip Deadeye, Bold Fighter, and the Rein skills.
* DistressedDude: Or DamselInDistress if the Summoner is female. [[spoiler:In Book V, Chapter 5, the Summoner gets kidnapped by Nótt, and is willingly given to Ótr along with the sword Gramr, as he requests them both for his plans.]]
* TheFaceless: The few times the Summoner is ever seen, such as during the opening cutscene and Summoner Support scenes, their face is obscured. The February 2021 update onwards allows you to give them a face, though, with one option invoking this with the Summoner keeping the hood up.
* FeaturelessProtagonist: About all you can tell from their trailer model and support sprites is that they have fair skin. The later updates gave the player eight options for the summoner's appearance, four male, and four female, with one of each having darker skin than was visible on the sprite.
* FinalBoss: In the "Lost to Love" Fourth Anniversary Tempest Trials+ event, they ([[spoiler:or rather, their Alfonse-based dream clone from Book IV]]) appear as the final boss.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: Anna summoned the Summoner from a modern day world into the medieval-esque ''Fire Emblem'' universe against their will. Some characters ask them about their homeworld, and find the concepts of "buildings that scrape the sky" and "metallic non-horse-drawn wagons" to be fascinating.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: The reveal that [[spoiler:the "Summoner" you see in Book IV is actually Alfonse]] is slightly hinted at, but crosses into FiveSecondForeshadowing when it is heavily hinted a few times in the same chapter part just before TheReveal was made:
** [[spoiler:The Summoner's Idle art show them with a neutral pose, fair skin (which is before CharacterCustomization was added), and an expressionless lip, the same as Alfonse's Idle art.]]
** [[spoiler:The Summoner and Alfonse's attack poses are nearly identical.]]
** [[spoiler:The Summoner is an Infantry Sword unit with a MightyGlacier statline, like Alfonse.]]
** [[spoiler:The Summoner has an unrefined Fólkvangr, Sol, Death Blow 3, and Spur Atk 3, all of which are the default skills for Alfonse at 5*.]]
* GirlOfMyDreams: The "Sworn Oath" Forging Bond events features the Summoner meeting with the Nifl royals in their dreams, with the [[ChickMagnet expected]] ShipTease.
* HelloInsertNameHere: You decide what to name the Summoner when you start the game. However, their default name is "[[CanonName Kiran]]" when you start up the game for the first time.
* HeroicMime: The Summoner is never shown talking. That said, they ''do'' talk, as Alfonse and co. clearly react to them in a manner indicating that they are giving their opinion on certain topics.
* InTheHood: Like Robin in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'', they wear a face-concealing hood. Dialogue from Soleil and Bernadetta suggests the Summoner ''always'' has it up. CharacterCustomization however can have players have the Summoner remove their hood in most of the options, with one more option to keep the hood on.
* JackOfAllStats: The Summoner in Mjölnir's Strike has an all average statline, with the melee version having 43 HP, 36 Atk and Spd, and 31 Def and Res, and the ranged version at 41 HP, 35 Atk and Spd, and 28 Def and Res.
* JackOfAllTrades: In Mjölnir's Strike, specific stats of the Summoner's can be boosted by the different "role" unit slots. This, on top of being able to [[PowerCopying copy any applicable Inheritable Weapons and Skills that their allies have]], all their Breidablik's simultaneous StatusBuff and DamageIncreasingDebuff effects, and status as an Infantry unit allows them to be customized to competently perform any specific duties that the team might need. They can be tweaked to be anything from a Res-focused MageKiller, a buff-supplying SupportPartyMember, a Close/Distant Counter tank, a Player Phase attacker, and much more.
* KidWithTheLeash: They can give orders to some particularly nasty folks such as [[EvilSorcerer Gharnef]], [[AxCrazy Valter]], or [[TinTyrant Surtr]].
* MagicallyBindingContract: This is the primary function of their Breidablik. Using Orbs as ammunition, their Breidablik is able to summon Heroes from any point in space/time in any of the ''Franchise/FireEmblem [[TheMultiverse worlds]]'', regardless if the said Hero is ''living, dying, or already dead'', forming a contract with them in the process.
* MeaningfulName: "Kiran" means "ray of light", while Eclat means "shine", thematically tying them to Baldr, god of light, joy and the summer sun.
* TheMentor: Becomes this to both Regular [[Characters/FireEmblemAwakeningSecondGeneration Morgans]] in their level 40 conversations, who exclaim that the Summoner is in the same league as Robin and believes them to be the key to surpassing their parent. Considering just how highly they look up to their parent, it speaks leagues of how much they look up to the Summoner as well.
* MissingMainCharacter: When the Order of Heroes ends up in the Realm of Dreams, Alfonse notices that the Summoner is missing. [[spoiler:This is because "Alfonse" ''is'' the Summoner, dreaming that they are Alfonse.]]
* MoreThanMindControl:
** The Summoner never explicitly controls summoned heroes, but it's implied that the act of summoning them makes heroes much more trusting of the Summoner than they would be if they met them another way. This is useful in earning the cooperation of some of the more troublesome characters like, say, [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Grima]] or [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones Fomortiis]].
** Several Heroes in their level 40 speech assure the Summoner that they would be emotionally important to them "even if they didn't have a Summoner-Hero relationship." This [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial ironically points out]] that there ''is'' a "Summoner-Hero relationship".
* MyNameIsQuestionMarks: Though everyone else in dialogue refers to the Summoner by [[HelloInsertNameHere the name you give them]], in Book IV, their name is rendered as "???" in their portrait's text boxes. This also applies when [[spoiler:their cognitive copy fights them as a boss, even having their profile description being only "???". When they regain their memories while transformed as Alfonse, their name is instead censored as "――".]]
* NonActionGuy: In the main story, like [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade Mark]] and unlike [[VideoGame/FireEmblemMysteryOfTheEmblem Kris]], [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Robin]], [[VideoGame/FireEmblemFates Corrin]], and [[VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses Byleth]], the Summoner commands from the back lines. One of Lilina's quotes imply they have some skill with magic, but she may just be talking about their summoning powers. The February 2021 update promotes the summoner to [[PromotedToPlayable playable]] in Mjölnir's Strike, and later that year, Heroes Journey.
* NonActionProtagonist: Kiran from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'' is another example of this like [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade Mark]], being another FeaturelessProtagonist that summons legendary heroes from past ''Fire Emblem'' games to aid them in battle. However, they are playable as a combatant in Mjölnir's Strike mode, but they are not playable otherwise and generally their ability to fight in that mode is a case of GameplayAndStorySegregation.
* NonEntityGeneral: Outside of the intro cutscene, you never see the Summoner in the game until the introduction of the Summoner Support system and in Mjölnir's Strike in update 5.2.0. Although, the Summoner is sometimes referred to in the story.
** At the end of Book I Ch 10, [[spoiler:Veronica tries to kill them, so just because they're unseen doesn't mean they're ''safe'']].
** At the end of Book IV Ch 12, a figure resembling the Summoner appears as the boss, wielding Alfonse's weapon and possessing his base skills. [[spoiler:It turns out that ''is'' Alfonse, or rather, a dreamt up concept of him, and the "Alfonse" that appeared in the story throughout that volume up to that point was actually the Summoner.]]
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: The Summoner has a habit of poking people to get their attention, judging by how many characters have a quote where they act surprised when you tap them. Ursula, Michalis, and Berkut in particular call out the Summoner for touching them. This is lampshaded by Eir.
-->'''Eir:''' I've noticed that you're overly familiar with everyone.
* OutOfCharacterAlert: In Book IV Chapter 3, both Alfonse and Sharena know that something is wrong with the summoner, noting that if it was really them, the first thing they would do is approach the both of them, instead of looking at them afar while keeping a distance.
* OutsideContextProblem: Thórr's Lv.40 Confessional reveals that the Summoner and their ability to summon and command heroes is outside of Alfaðör's design, and as such can be seen as a potential threat to challenge the gods and even Alfaðör himself, given that the Summoner has the potential to summon the same gods they can potentially threaten, as evident with the Summoner's ability to summon Loki and Thórr, where Thórr confesses that Alfaðör would likely order her to eliminate the Summoner if they did, but hesitates to give a straight answer if she can follow through with that order.
* PromotedToPlayable: Starting from the February 2021 update, they can take the front lines in Mjölnir's Strike, and there are quests to go along with it. The summoner is also playable in the Heroes Journey mode.
* RecurringCharacter: Some of the comments from other characters seem to make them believe you are possibly related to all of the previous Avatars. Sharena once comments that you and Robin from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' have a similar aura. Both male and female Robin remark on the "strange kinship" they feel like they have with you. Bridal Lyn comments that you remind her of Mark from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade'', and Katarina comes to an outright conclusion that you ''are'' Kris from ''New Mystery of the Emblem'', though she admits that she might be wrong on that.
* RiddleForTheAges: What picture did they draw for Anna to sell for desperate profits in "A Sketchy Summer"? Anna's reaction is that of utter surprise, but then the chapter ends right before she can comment any further. Was it amazing? Was it horrible? Was it completely unrelated to the summer characters? We may never know.
* ShoutOut: The Breidablik functions just like how [[Series/KamenRiderDecade Kamen Rider Diend summons other Riders with his Diendriver]]. Though here it works more like [[Series/KamenRiderWizard Kamen Rider Wizard's Legend Rider Rings]]. All that is missing is the electronic voice for Breidablik that shouts the name of heroes that the Summoner summons.
* StatusBuff: Breidablik in all forms give +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat to all allies within 2 spaces of the user.
* TheStrategist: The other characters rely on the Summoner for strategy during battle. Many characters also speak highly of their strategic abilities, to the point where some claim that their skills rival that of other legendary ''Fire Emblem'' tacticians, such as Saias and Robin.
* SuddenlySpeaking: The Summoner normally never talks, but [[spoiler:in Book IV when they are dreaming that they are Alfonse they are just as chatty as everyone else]].
* SummonEverymanHero: The Summoner is a seemingly average person from a modern day world, and they were summoned by Anna to, in turn, summon more heroes.
* ThemeNaming: "Breidablik", in Myth/NorseMythology, was the home of Baldr, the best part of Heaven, also known as Ásgarðr.
* ThisLoserIsYou: In ''Webcomic/FireEmblemHeroesADayInTheLife'', the Summoner is depicted to be quite TheDitz, and their [[GeneralFailure inability to be a good tactician]] is a frequent RunningGag.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: When wielding the Sword/Lance/Axe Breidablik, the summoner telekenitally throws it at the enemy, with it looping around for another hit in consecutive hits.
* TookALevelInBadass:
** The trailer for Book II has them going toe-to-toe with Veronica.
** At the end of Book III, it turns out [[spoiler:that the Heart of Angrboða is an upgrade to Breiðablik, giving it the ability to kill those who are unkillable. With it, the Summoner is actually the one who nails the coffin for Hel, killing the ruler of the dead.]]
** In Book IV, [[spoiler:they spend almost the entire story in Alfonse's body, and become just as capable of fighting as the real deal. You can even sic them on BigBad Freyja herself, and thanks to [[TacticalRockPaperScissors the color advantage]], quite possibly be the one to finish her off!]]
* VagueAge: The only hint as to how old the Summoner might be is that they're probably older than Larcei who's roughly in her mid-teens, as they correct her when she talks about being an older sister figure to them in their Level 40 conversation. The options for the Summoner's appearance put them in their late teens to early 20s, the typical age range for a ''Fire Emblem'' protagonist.
* VisibleSilence: [[spoiler:In Book IV, once they regain their memories while transformed as Alfonse, they're literally rendered speechless and only speak through ellipses and their facial expressions.]]
* WeCanRuleTogether: Some of the more villainous ''Fire Emblem'' characters offer Kiran a place at their side while espousing plans to rule the world after reaching Level 40.
* {{Workaholic}}: Implied--several of the summoned Heroes express concern that the Summoner is working too hard. Sothe claims that he can tell they're exhausted just by looking at them.

* AboveTheInfluence: Alfonse is completely immune to Plumeria's lust inducing nectar for some reason.
* ActionInitiative:
** New Year Duo Alfonse & Sharena's Imbued Koma allows them to deny any of the foe's follow-up attacks if they have their special ready at the start of combat.
** Valentine Alfonse has Bold Fighter, where if he initiates combat, he gains a guaranteed follow-up attack.
* AmbiguouslyBi: He cares deeply for the Summoner, [[PurelyAestheticGender who can be any gender]]. In Book V, after the Summoner is kidnapped, Dagr wonders if there's something particular to their relationship, which Sharena denies but does say that the two share a "special bond". After the Summoner is rescued, Alfonse is clearly relieved, before noticing Sharena is giggling to the side.
-->'''Alfonse:''' I'm so glad you're safe, Kiran. Without you, I don't know how I could live on... What's so funny, Sharena?
* ApologeticAttacker: In one of his critical quotes.
* ArmorPiercingAttack: His Valentine variant has Moonbow by default, where when it activates it ignores 30% of the foe's defenses during combat.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Alfonse proves to be an intelligent individual with excellent critical thinking skills.
** He's able to work out [[spoiler:the loophole in Hel's death curse and Líf's identity]] with scarce hints and sheer intuition, and the former actually manages to [[spoiler:shock the Goddess of Death herself, forcing her to flee.]]
** Later in Book VI, Chapter 12 [[spoiler:after he recovers from his HeroicBSOD, he manages to figure out Bruno's secret plan even after his death, and it pays off by successfully freeing Veronica from Embla's curse.]]
* BadassBoast: He's delivered two to some main story villains.
** Gets one in Book III, Chapter 6. [[spoiler:Hel attempts to once again place her death curse on him -- the same one that led to Gustav's death two chapters prior. However, Alfonse shows no fear, as he realizes that the curse's duration [[AwesomenessByAnalysis means he will not die until the time comes]] and is determined to use that time to find a weakness in her.]] He tops it off with this boast:
--->'''Alfonse:''' [[spoiler:[[BringIt So lay your curse upon me,]] Hel, ruler of the dead. I will accept it -- happily. [[DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu Because it means that it is your life that will end in nine days' time.]]]]
** Delivers a chilling one in Book VI, Chapter 5. [[spoiler:Director Letizia appears in the Order of Heroes way once again, and she has Veronica as hostage. Alfonse suggests to have a talk with Letizia, and callously tells her that he not only killed his own father Gustav to ascend the throne, but that Letizia is next, and that Alfonse ''will'' kill her. This behaviour is just a front to try and get under Letizia's skin, but Alfonse says it all with a [[DissonantSerenity smile on his face]]. Sharena is unsurprisingly ''terrified as hell'' when she hears him.]]
--->'''Alfonse:''' [[spoiler:I'm going to kill you too. You're in my way, so this is how it will have to be. No matter what it takes, my decision's been made. No hostage will save you. You cannot stop what's coming for you. Do you understand now?]]
* BalanceBuff:
** His regular version's Fólkvangr originally gave him a Defiant Atk buff once below 50% HP, which was rendered obsolete by better buffing skills, especially the Brazen skills. It later got a refine which actually gave it said Brazen skill, namely Brazen Atk/Def, which grants +7 Atk and Def during combat if he's below 80% HP. He can stack it three times with the skill in his A slot and Seal slot, giving him a total of +21 Atk and Def, making him pretty sturdy.
** New Year Duo Alfonse & Sharena's Imbued Koma in update 7.4.0 has the refined version now also reduces damage taken equal to 20% of their Def during combat, and the unique refine grants them an additional +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat, inflicts -1 special buildup per attack on the foe during combat, halves the effects of [Deep Wounds] and boost their damage equal to 15% of their Def during combat when they trigger their special, all which activates if they are within 3 spaces of an ally.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: As part of his BadassBoast in Book VI, Chapter 5, he [[spoiler:convinces Letitzia that he has a cruel streak hidden under his friendly exterior]]. While [[spoiler:him bragging about killing his father is a half-truth]], he gets [[WhatTheHellHero called out on it]] by Sharena after the battle.
* BrotherSisterTeam: He's part of the Order of Heroes alongside his sister, Sharena. The help screen for unit supports uses this pairing in the example image. Their NY Duo version has them actually team up together as one.
* TheComicallySerious: More often than not, Alfonse gets caught in the other Heroes' shenanigans, leading to hilarity. Highlights include his reaction after nearly being shot by Setsuna, being convinced to wear Winter Chrom's Santa outfit, and his dismay at Anna's money-making schemes.
* CooldownManipulation:
** New Year Duo Alfonse & Sharena's Duo Skill allows them and all Infantry allies within 3 row and 3 columns of them -2 special cooldown. They also have Special Spiral, where if they activated their special before or during combat, they gain -2 special cooldown after combat.
** Valentine Alfonse has Bold Fighter, where in addition to him gaining a guaranteed follow-up attack, allows him to gain +1 special buildup for every attack he performs during combat.
* CoolSword: Swords are his weapons of choice. His 5-star weapon, Fólkvangr, is particularly cool; its edges are coated in gold, it has a blue, glowing crystal, and the blade glows when Alfonse uses his special attacks. It only granted him a +5 Atk buff if he's at 50% HP or less, but it can be refined to give him +7 Atk/Def instead during combat at a more lenient HP threshold requirement of 80% HP or less instead. It can also be given the Triangle Adept skill, which amplifies weapon triangle advantage and disadvantage.
* CripplingOverspecialization: He's solely focused on Atk and Def, having decent stats in both, and his Fólkvangr can be refined to grant him Brazen Atk/Def, which grants him an extra +7 Atk and Def during combat if he's at 80% HP or below. His Spd and Res are lacking however, meaning he won't do well against any faster or magical threats. To further emphasize his [[CripplingOverspecialization focused playstyle]], his sword can also be given Triangle Adept to ensure that he can do great damage against green foes, but basically crumble against blue foes.
* CriticalStatusBuff: Fólkvangr gives Alfonse +5 Atk when he starts a turn with his HP at 50% or lower. When refined, it instead gives Alfonse +7 Atk/Def during combat if he's at 80% HP or lower at the start of combat.
* CurseEscapeClause: [[spoiler:Double subverted. After eating a death curse from Hel, the heroes figure they can end it by killing her. However, their attempts to find her fail miserably, and when she comes for Alfonse's head, their attacks have no effect. Gustav ''does'' manage to save him from the curse... [[HeroicSacrifice at the cost of his own life]].]]
* DamageIncreasingDebuff:
** His Spring variant has Def Smoke, where he inflicts -7 Def to all foes within 2 space of the target after combat.
** His Valentine variant has Amity Blooms+ allows him to inflict -5 Atk/Res to the foe during combat if there is an ally within 2 spaces of him.
* DeadAllAlong: [[spoiler:The big twist of Book IV is that Alfonse was killed by Alfaðör as punishment for killing Hel. Ultimately subverted, though, as Freyja was lying this whole time as a chance to revive her brother.]]
* DeathGlare: He gives one to Dagr at the end of Book V Chapter 4, after the latter tried to ''kill'' him, the Order of Heroes, and Reginn, just to prove to her mother that she is stronger than her sister Nótt, while also ignoring her country's tradition of pacifism.
* DefrostingIceKing:
** Or Prince, rather. Alfonse is introduced as a polite but detached member of the Order of Heroes, caring greatly for his country but refusing to befriend Heroes from other worlds, including the Summoner, a sharp contrast to his sister [[AllLovingHero who's all too eager to offer friendship to people she's just met]]. It's initially said by Anna that he was heartbroken when a Hero had to return to their world, but it's eventually revealed to be due to Zacharias' sudden disappearance prior to Book I, which caused him to hold everyone at a distance so he would NeverBeHurtAgain. However, between finding out the truth about what happened to Zacharias and bonding with the Summoner over the course of Book I, he comes to understand ThePowerOfFriendship.
*** This plot is adapted and expanded upon in his Adventurer Story in the ''VideoGame/DragaliaLost'' crossover, where he initially tells the AllLovingHero Prince Euden that while he appreciates his allies, they're not his friends. After hearing how highly and familiarly Euden's friends speak of him, Alfonse explains how hurt he felt to have lost Zacharias and how he'd rather avoid forming friendships he knows will end in separation. However, after Euden risks his life to save him during a battle, he comes to realize he's wrong.
--->'''Alfonse:''' Parting will be sad, of course, but I will always treasure our time together. Thank you for blessing me with a bond I can believe in so strongly, my friend.
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler:Seemingly judged and killed by Alfaðör, but it turns out to just be a lie by Freyja]].
* {{Expy}}: Borrows characterizations from Joshua (as a royal who went away from the hubbub of living in the royal castle to be closer to the masses and have a feel for their needs), Innes (as a strategist and a royal who would conjure up brilliant tactics while in the thick of battle), and Chrom (leads a detachment of warriors separate but directly under the throne, almost like a royal guard but not quite). He is neither as flippant as Joshua or as harsh as Innes, though he does have his moments. Chrom is the closest to Alfonse as a character, though Alfonse is more brooding and distant especially towards heroes.
* FatalFlaw: Gustav brings it up in Book III; being too compassionate and not thinking in the long term. Alfonse's heart is in the right place, but he takes needless risks that potentially have far-reaching consequences--if his attempt to divert Hel's army had failed, he'd be dead and Askr would have [[HeirClubForMen no heir left]]. [[spoiler:It later bites him in the back in Book III Chapter 3, as he ignores his father's warnings about never engaging Hel at all. He gets a death curse that will kill him in nine days' time for his trouble. His father has to sacrifice himself to spare Alfonse's life, an event which finally spurs him into fixing this flaw.]]
* FutileHandReach: [[spoiler:He and Sharena attempt this towards each other right before Hel kills her with her scythe]] in the Book III intro. [[spoiler:That is, the Alfonse who would later name himself "Líf".]]
* GeniusBruiser: Outside of his combat prowess, he has linguistic ability, is knowledgeable on Askr prophecy, is generally interested in history, and is even shown to be a good artist in "A Sketchy Summer". Book II in particular shows he's also a pretty quick thinker, e.g. when he tricked Surtr into believing he was deliberating [[HopelessBossFight staying behind]] to defend an Askran village that Surtr threatened to raze, when in actuality he'd been buying the villagers time to evacuate after warning them in advance via smoke signal.
* GuestFighter: Appears as a light sword adventurer in ''VideoGame/DragaliaLost''.
* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler:He suffers a ''massive'' one when he is forced to kill Bruno in Book VI, Chapter 11, lasting a good way through Chapter 12, before Sharena snaps him out of it and allows him to realize that it was all part of Bruno's plan.]]
* HolidayMode: His Spring variant wears bunny ears and a white and blue suit while wielding a giant spoon and egg. His New Year's variant has him wear a festive kimono along with his sister.
* IKnowYourTrueName: [[spoiler:At the end of Book III Chapter 8, he figures out and reveals to everyone who "Líf" really is: that "Líf's" true name is Alfonse.]]
* INeverSaidItWasPoison: In Book IV Chapter 6, [[spoiler:Alfonse reunites with Prince Bruno, and Veronica tells Bruno to meet with their friend Peony to explain the current crisis, with Bruno agreeing to meet her. However, Alfonse calls him an imposter, stating that both Veronica and Alfonse only said "friend" and did not specify that their friend is a "She", revealing that "Bruno" is the Nightmare version of him that Alfonse met back at the beginning of Book IV.]]
* JustThinkOfThePotential: Loki comments that Alfonse has the power to open gateways to other realms, but she laments how he is inexperienced with his power and ominously says those who can't understand such power are destined to be crushed by it. It doesn't stop her from trying to tempt him to use it for her gain before leaving.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: The end of Book IV Chapter 6 reveals that [[spoiler:he cannot recall memories of his past with Zacharias, even though the both of them were close in the past. This worries both Alfonse and Veronica as the cause might not be related to the "Waking Dream" crisis that Askr is experiencing.]] Their question is answered in Book IV Chapter 12, where it's revealed that [[spoiler:the "Alfonse" that has been with them all this time is really the Summoner--who has never been around Zacharias prior meeting them as Bruno--dreaming as being Alfonse, while the real Alfonse was presumed dead.]]
* LifeDrain:
** His regular variant learns Sol by default, which heals him for 50% of the damage he deals once it activates.
** His Spring variant learns Noontime by default, which heals him for 30% of the damage he deals once it activates.
** His New Year variant learns Open the Future, which, in addition to boosting his damage by 50% of his Def during combat, heals him for 25% of the damage he deals once it activates.
** His Valentine variant has Amity Blooms+, where in addition to inflicting -5 Atk/Res on the foe during combat, allows him to recover 4 HP per attack he performs.
* LightningBruiser: His Spring variant makes him much faster than his regular variant, thanks to being a cavalry unit with a direct upgrade to his Spd stat. However, he does end up trading good Spd for average Def and awful Res.
* MightyGlacier:
** His regular version's stats, growths, and weapon all lean towards Atk and Def. He's stronger and bulkier than Sharena, but far slower than both her and Anna.
** His New Year's version is optimized with high Atk and Def, good HP for a mage, and good Res, but with very low Spd. However, his weapon can grant him even more stats and it can prevent the opponent from following up and taking advantage of his low Spd if he has his special ready.
** His Valentine version has great HP, Atk, and Def, and average Res, but low Spd.
* MistakenForGay: Dagr asks Sharena if Alfonse and the Summoner are in a relationship with each other, to which Sharena quickly denies. This is especially relevant if the Summoner is male.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: He acts very aloof towards the Heroes that the player summons, considering them only allies and not friends. This is because he was close friends to a particular Hero, and became heartbroken when [[ButNowIMustGo they had to leave]]. He doesn't want to make any connections that he knows that will inevitably break.
* NiceGuy: While less sociable than Sharena, he's described as a kind and honest young man.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: [[spoiler:He was seemingly judged by Alfaðör and sentenced to death for stopping Hel, even though Hel was about to wipe out all life. Though this turned out to be a MotivationalLie from Freyja.]]
* OnlySaneMan: During the seasonal paralogues, he's always the most reluctant to get dragged into Anna and Sharena's antics.
* PreMortemOneLiner:

* ThePowerOfFriendship: His Valentine variant has Amity Blooms+, where it inflicts -5 Atk/Res on the foe during combat and he recovers 4 HP per attack he performs if he is within 2 spaces of an ally. He also has Def/Res Form, where he gains 1 + 2 Def/Res during combat for every ally within 2 spaces of him during combat, up to +7 Def/Res during combat.
* SecretArt: New Year Duo Alfonse & Sharena has the exclusive skill Open the Future, where they boost their damage equal to 50% of their Def during combat, and recover HP equal to 25% of the damage dealt. They share this skill with Líf, the founder of Askr who the two descend from. [[spoiler:In actuality, Líf and Alfonse are one and the same.]]
* SiblingTeam: Alfonse is in the Order of Heroes with his sister Sharena. His New Year variant has him be a Duo Hero with Sharena as one unit.
* SiblingYinYang: Alfonse is more serious and focused compared to his friendly and upbeat sister.
* StatusBuff:
** Regular Alfonse has Death Blow 3, where he gains +6 Atk during combat if he initiates combat. He also has Spur Atk 3, which gives +4 Atk during combat to any ally adjacent to him.
** Spring Alfonse has Sturdy Blow 2, where he gains +4 Atk/Def during combat if he initiates combat.
** New Year Duo Alfonse & Sharena has Imbued Koma, where the user gains +5 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if they have their special ready at the start of combat, and the unique refine grants an additional +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat if they are within 3 spaces of an ally. They also have Def/Res Oath 3, where they gain +5 Def/Res if they start their turn adjacent to an ally.
** Valentine Alfonse has Def/Res Form 3, where he gains 1 + 2 Def/Res during combat for every ally within 2 spaces of him, up to +7 Def/Res during combat.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Askr in Book VI tells Alfonse that he resembles his ancestor Líf. [[spoiler:And not just his AlternateSelf "Líf".]]
* ThemeNaming: [[https://norse-mythology.org/folkvang Fólkvangr]] was the lesser known hall of Freya, another WarriorHeaven like Valhalla.
* TurnsRed: His Fólkvangr gives him +5 Atk for the turn should he start it at 50% HP or less. When refined, it gains an improved effect where he gets +7 Atk and Def during combat if he has 80% HP or less at the start of combat. This effect is Brazen Atk/Def, and he's one of two units (the other being regular Celica) who can run three Brazen type skills at once, one being built into a weapon, one equipped as the A skill, and one equipped as the Seal. Alfonse can potentially reach +21 Atk and Def with three Brazen Atk/Def skills active at once, or he could mix up the other Brazens to give him a more balanced stat boost.
* WarriorPrince: He's a swordsman as well as the prince of Askr. At one point, he remarks that some members of the kingdom dislike the fact that he's a member of the Order of Heroes, but he pays them little heed.
* WellDoneSonGuy: He's implied to desire his father Gustav's approval.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Paralogue 39 reveals he's afraid of ghosts. While he logically deduces that a "ghost" was just a shadow, his comment to the summoner suggests yes, he was indeed afraid of it being an actual ghost.
* YourDaysAreNumbered: [[spoiler:After initially thinking that the Order of Heroes has defeated Hel at the end of Book III Chapter 3, she surprise attacks him with a curse, leaving Alfonse with 9 days left to live. At the appointed time of his death, however, his father takes the fall for him, dying in his place.]]
* YoureInsane: [[spoiler:Book III Chapter 9, as well as in the "Cohort of the Dead" cinematic, after "Líf" tells his plan of killing everyone in Askr and sending it to ruin in order to save his version of Askr, serving Hel in the process, Alfonse asks him if he's lost his mind.]]

----
* AllLovingHero: Sharena is extremely quick to befriend Heroes, even if she's only just met them. However, her blind belief in the best of people opens her up to betrayal from Katarina in Paralogue 7, though it is through her unwavering trust that causes Katarina to warn her of the trap she set.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: {{Discussed}} in Book IV. Sharena mentions having dreams of herself swapping clothes and places with a girl from her dreams who looked just like her. Anna mentions she might be a Changeling as a joke since it was believed that fairies switched places with human children the way she described. [[spoiler:The same chapter though reveals that many of the elves encountered were once human but drinking a certain nectar turned them into elves. The story leaves said chapter hanging with a potential implication that Sharena could actually be a elf since she does seem to believe she drank some kind of nectar when she was younger. But, it turns out that Sharena did not drink the dream nectar at all and subsequently left the Realm of Dreams.]]
* AmbiguousSituation: Book IV presents us with an idea that [[spoiler:"Sharena" we know is not the ''original'' Sharena and that Peony might be the real Sharena, with the two [[PrinceAndPauper switching around who is who]] before "Peony" became an álfr.]] At the end of Book IV, [[spoiler:Peony says that it doesn't matter who is actually who as the two were so in-synch with each other in heart and soul that they were practically the same person, leaving the matter at that without proper conclusion.]]
* ArmorPiercingAttack: Refining Fensalir replaces its offense-lowering abilities with the ability to ignore a target's active buffs.
* BalanceBuff: Fensalir originally had a Threaten Atk 2 effect built into her it, which while a useful skill, didn't do much for her long term. Her weapon refinement gave her instead a built in Dull All effect, alongside Spd/Def Bond 3. This made her more viable thanks to it, since she can NoSell buffs and be more tanky thanks to the buff to her defense if next to an ally.
* BigBrotherWorship: She certainly admires Alfonse, even getting into a competition with Laevatein in the latter's ''Webcomic/FireEmblemHeroesADayInTheLife'' comic over whose older sibling is more amazing, and despite being very familiar and casual with her brother (as well as just about everyone she meets), [[ExpositoryPronoun she actually addresses Alfonse]] with the rather formal and respectful ''onii-sama'' (お兄様).
* BookDumb: She appears to be less academically inclined than her brother, lacking knowledge of certain languages or prophecies that Alfonse can recite by heart.
* BreakTheCutie: She begins to fall into this during Book IV, as she finds more and more about the realm of dreams and begins to remember [[spoiler:she and another girl swapped places as young children, leading her to believe she may have replaced the real princess of Askr.]]
* BrickJoke: During the Spring Festival event, Camilla implores Sharena to join her in wearing a bunny outfit for the festival. In the Hares at the Fair event, Sharena and her brother both end up in bunny costumes, both very embarrassed.
* BrotherSisterTeam: With Alfonse. The help screen for unit supports uses this pairing in the example image. Alfonse even has a NY Duo variant where he and Sharena team up together.
* CleavageWindow: Her Spring 2018 outfit has one.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Her Spring variant's Muninn's Egg allows her to inflict -5 Atk/Res to the foe with the lowest Spd on their team if she is at 50% HP or more at the start of her turn. When refined, it instead inflicts -7 Atk or Res to the foe with the highest Atk or Res on their team at the start of her turn.
* ADayInTheLimelight: In ''Bridal Bloom'', she and Anna take center stage, with Alfonse not appearing once.
* DemotedToExtra: Sharena gets hit ''hard'' with this after Book I.
** Books II, III, V and VI don't see her contributing much as part of the core characters. III is especially egregious as [[spoiler:an alternate version of her dying is a key part of Lif's motivations, but the living Sharena doesn't get much of a word in regarding the topic]]. Her highest prominence as a character is Book IV, and even then [[spoiler:the subplot with her and Peony doesn't get a solid resolution, and gets upstaged by Alfonse and his DisneyDeath at the climax]]. The below mentioned scene from Book III implies the trope is intentional.
** Sharena's last leading alt as of early Book VI was her Spring variant during Book II in 2018. Worse, during the 2021 Valentine's banner, which had the Askran family as its theme, Sharena was absent from it in favor of Lif. However, she still appears in the third part of said banner's associated paralogue.
** Dialogue in Chapter 2 of Book III seems to imply the lack of focus is a part of her character InUniverse. It's shown that ''her own parents'' view her as an unfavorite; Henriette kindly but firmly tells her to quiet down before they meet up with Gustav, and Gustav ''completely ignores her'' except to reprimand her, which Sharena takes in with silent acceptance.
* DependingOnTheArtist: The direction in which her bangs sweep towards varies constantly, even within the same unit by the same artist. Her original artist and character designer, Yusuke Kozaki, drew her base neutral and attack art with her hair sweeping to the left of the viewer, as does her Spring alt, her appearance in the Book III key art, and in the ''VideoGame/DragaliaLost'' event. However, her base damage art, the key art for Book II (by Shigeki Maeshima) and IV (by Yoshiku) and the 3D model in cinematics, all sweep to the right. Argon draws her hair going left for her attack art and right elsewhere in her Duo alt with Alfonse. Her chibi sprites, however, are always consistently sweeping to the right, likely because [[AmbidextrousSprite it's meant to be flipped]] to be opposite Alfonse, which may be where this entire confusion originated.
* DiscardAndDraw: Upon Fensalir's refinement, it trades inflicting -4 Atk on foes within two spaces, for ignoring Sharena's foe's field stat buffs during combat.
* {{Foil}}: To Veronica. Sharena really likes making friends with Heroes when she can, but Veronica likes to force them into being her friends by binding them to a contract of servitude.
* ForgottenFirstMeeting: With Peony when Sharena was a kid. Justified, as children eventually forget about the realm of dreams as they grow older.
* FutileHandReach: [[spoiler:She and Alfonse attempt this towards each other in Book III's ending cinematic, echoing what happened to her alternate self, though this time she's saved by Eir.]]
* GenkiGirl: She is energetic and upbeat.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: A non-physical example occurs in Book VI, Chapter 12, [[spoiler:where she desperately begs Alfonse to snap out of his HeroicBSOD, asking him what Bruno/Zacharias would have done in the situation. Thankfully, it works.]]
* GradualRegeneration: The unique refine for Spring Sharena's Muninn's Egg allows her to recover 7 HP to herself and all allies within 2 spaces of her at the start of her turn.
* GuestFighter: Appears as a light lance adventurer in ''VideoGame/DragaliaLost''.
* HeirClubForMen: Gustav doesn't even consider her a potential heir if Alfonse dies. Additionally, even her mom tells her to be quiet while her brother and father discuss politics, implying her own parents don't take her seriously as a political figure. Sharena's quiet acceptance further suggests it's the norm in their family.
* HeroWorshipper: Sharena enjoys making friends with the Heroes that the player summons, looking up to the Summoner and considering herself their number one fan. However, the player is the main target for that attention, being a Hero in his/her own right.
* HiddenBuxom: Two of Yusuke Kozaki's drawings of Sharena show that she has a decent bosom underneath her [[http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/fireemblem/images/3/3b/FE_Heroes_Sharena_Kozaki.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1040?cb=20170202100212 gilded]] [[http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/fireemblem/images/1/1b/Kozaki_Sharena_iPad_drawing.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1112?cb=20170207052035 Lorica squamata.]] Her [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fireemblem/images/7/7a/Sharena_%28Hares_at_the_Fair%29_Fight.png/revision/latest?cb=20180322125708 Spring 2018 outfit]] has her show a bit more of her chest, showing herself to be decently endowed under her armor.
* HolidayMode: Her Spring variant wears bunny ears and a white and pink dress while wielding a giant egg.
* IfWeGetThroughThis: Asks Bruno([[spoiler:a.k.a. Zacharias]]) for lance training if they survive the battle with Embla. [[spoiler:He dies by the end of Book VI, Chapter 11]].
* JackOfAllStats: Sharena is the most balanced out of the Askran trio. She is faster than Alfonse and more durable than Anna, and conversely, slower than Anna and squishier than Alfonse.
* JerkassToOne: Sharena is very kind and upbeat, and always wants to befriend others. To ''Veronica'' on the other hand, she is much more belligerent and irritable. [[spoiler:Less so following Veronica's HeelFaceTurn to FriendlyEnemy status at the end of Book II, after which Sharena is generally polite and respectful toward her and tries to help her, even when Veronica's bad attitude would probably warrant more hostility.]]
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: The Light Feminine to Veronica's Dark Feminine, wearing bright clothing and even having blonde hair.
* LightningBruiser: Fensalir's exclusive refinement gives her +5 Spd and Def when she enters combat while next to an ally. This combined with her already flexible stats, which includes her solid attack, makes her almost as durable as her brother and almost as fast as Anna.
* KillTheCutie: Sharena is seen being killed by Hel in the Book III Opening Movie. [[spoiler:Subverted as it was not the Sharena we know, but Líf's Sharena from an alternate Askr.]]
* ModestyShorts: She wears shorts under her skirt, which are visible in her attack portrait.
* NiceGirl: So long as your name isn't Veronica, Sharena will try and befriend you if possible. [[spoiler:And even Veronica ultimately gets the olive branch from her.]]
* NoSell: Any refinement on her Fensalir allows her to ignore any buffs her foe has during combat.
* ObliviousToLove: According to Veronica in her Bestowed Love form, Sharena has no perception of romantic love, just friendship.
* PetTheDog: Inspires this in ''[[CreepyGood Tharja]]'', of all people.
-->'''Tharja:''' Princess Sharena started chatting with me while I was in the middle of my "[[HaveYouTriedNotBeingAMonster normal practice]]." She grew quite fond of me in that time, so now I'm not sure when I can stop acting like that...
* PluckyGirl: Optimistic and brave.

''"There's my opening!"'' (regular)\\
''"Found your weak spot!"'' (regular)\\
''"Ladies first."'' (regular)\\

''"Spring, spring, spring!"'' (''Hares at the Fair'')\\
''"Here comes the sunshine!"'' (''Hares at the Fair'')\\
''"I'm hopping your way!"'' (''Hares at the Fair'')
* RecurringElement: The perky, plucky younger sister of a more serious hero. The main difference between Sharena and your typical ''Fire Emblem'' LittleSisterHeroine is that Sharena doesn't start as a healer.
* RiddleForTheAges: ''Who'' was that Hero friend she wanted to get the second wedding's bouquet for? Anna wants to know, but Sharena convinces her not to look into it as her identity is meant to stay secret.
* SiblingTeam: Sharena is in the Order of Heroes with her brother Alfonse. Alfonse's New Year variant has him be a Duo Hero with Sharena as one unit.
* SiblingYinYang: Sharena is quite a deal friendlier and more open than her reserved brother, especially when it comes to Summon Heroes: Sharena wants to get to know them better while Alfonse is afraid of growing close to them.
* SquishyWizard: Her Spring variant is this, trading good Resistance in exchange for awful Defense.
* StatusBuff:
** Her Regular variant has Rally Attack, which allows her to give +4 Atk to a target ally. She also has Fortify Def 3, which gives +4 Def to all adjacent allies at the start of her turn. The unique refine for her Fensalir allows her to gain +5 Spd/Def during combat if she is adjacent to an ally.
** Her Spring variant has Rally Atk/Spd, which allows her to give +3 Atk/Spd to a target ally. She also has Swift Stance 2, where she gains +4 Spd/Res during combat if her foe initiates combat, and Res Tactics, which allows her to give +6 Res to all allies within 2 spaces of her at the start of her turn if that ally does not share more than 1 of the same movement type on their team, including Spring Sharena herself. Her refined Muninn's Egg allows her to gain +4 Atk/Spd/Res during combat if her foe is at 75% HP or above at the start of combat, and the unique refine for Muninn's Egg allows her to gain an additional +4 Atk/Spd/Res if she either initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally.
* TerribleArtist: In "A Sketchy Summer", while drawing to create hand sketches of heroes to make money for the Order, she is said to be a terrible artist, as Anna notes that a child could have drawn better. Subverted later on, however, as Sharena draws all the portraits for the "Meet The Heroes" pages, and her style is simplistic but cute.
* ThemeNaming: [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fensalir Fensalir]] was the name of the hall in which the goddess Frigg wept for Baldr's death.
* WarriorPrincess: Easily kicks just as much ass as her brother does, to the point she's considered one of the better ones among the Askran trio. In fact their parents seem to be more okay with her fighting compared to her brother who should be preparing to inherit the throne.
* WhamShot: The Book III ending opens with [[spoiler:Hel having Sharena at scythe-point, in an exact repetition of the opening movie, when "Líf's" Sharena was murdered. Doubly so since it never happens in the actual story.]]
* WistfulAmnesia: Its implied in Book IV that she used to play with Peony when she was younger, but due to it being in her dreams, she cannot recall meeting her. Despite this, she remembers someone like her, and over the course of the story, she begins to remember feeling like she had a connection to the fairies somehow.

----
* ActionInitiative: One of her skills is Vantage, which allows her to attack first during the enemy's turn if her health is low enough.
* AdaptationalBadass: In almost all previous ''Fire Emblem'' games, Anna was usually portrayed as a shopkeeper, though her ''Awakening'', ''Fates'', ''Three Houses'', and ''Engage'' incarnations [[TookALevelInBadass were able to fight]]. Here, she's an experienced warrior ''right from the start''.
* AscendedExtra: Most Annas are either non-playable characters, optional side characters, or paid DLC. This one is a main storyline character.
* BalanceBuff: Nóatún originally had a built in Escape Route effect, a useful but not very offensively good built-in effect, which is also combined with her severely lacking attack. The special refinement she received to it gave it a Guidance effect that helps her better escape a tricky situation. That's about it though.
* BigGood: She's the leader of the Order of Heroes, and happens to be the person that summoned the player in the first place.
* ButtMonkey: During the {{Breather Episode}}s, her constant attempts to get rich are doomed to comedic failure.
* CelibateHeroine: Anna rarely chimes in on the subject of romance, money is her only love. [[spoiler:To the point where she can resist Plumeria's powers as she makes the rest of the females in the party attracted to Alfonse, including his sister]].
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Dark red hair and eyes.
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Her New Year variant wields Fortune Bow+, where if the foe has 3 Res or less than her and they are adjactent to any of their allies, she inflicts -5 Def/Res at the start of her turn. She also has Sabotage Atk, where it has the same activation requirement, except it inflicts -7 Atk at the start of her turn.
* DemotedToExtra: Like Sharena, her role is greatly reduced in Book II to make Fjorm the leading heroine alongside Alfonse. She doesn't even appear in the cinematic trailers for any of the books!
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Anna mentions to Alfonse in Book IV Chapter 11 that she had a dream that she was a squirrel and it felt quite normal to her. [[spoiler:The following chapter reveals the Summoner has literally dreamed that they are Alfonse himself.]]
* FragileSpeedster: Out of the three Askran starters, Anna has the highest Speed and Resistance, but also the lowest Defense.
* FrontlineGeneral: She is the commander of Alfonse and Sharena, and carries an axe to boot.
* HolidayMode: Her New Year's variant wears a kimono and wields a bow with a lucky cat attached to it.
* IntrepidMerchant: She ''is'' an Anna, after all. She hatches many money-making schemes, especially during the Paralogue chapters, although they tend not to work out well and she frequently gets outwitted by Annas from other worlds. Perhaps leading the Order of Heroes has dulled her skills as a merchant...
* ItsAllMyFault: As Zacharias' commanding officer, she blames herself for his disappearance.
* {{Irony}}: Despite multiple Annas being playable characters across four other games in the series[[labelnote:*]]''Awakening'', ''Fates'', ''Warriors'', and ''Three Houses''[[/labelnote]], until the release of the Renewed Spirit banner in the first day of 2020, she was the only Anna available in ''Heroes'' while her Askran colleagues received alternates before her. It is especially ironic considering she is one of the few characters who has alts in canon.
* LegacyCharacter: One of many Annas in the series, and is the third incarnation to be a playable character.
-->"Think I have a familiar face? Hmm, how curious."
* LimitBreak: She learns Astra, which grants her a sizable 150% damage boost once it activates.
* LovesOnlyGold: She's always looking for a way to make some coin, true to the Anna character established from ''Awakening'' onwards.
* MeaningfulName: Nóatún was the hall of the lesser known Norse God Njǫrd, God of Seafaring, Hunting, and Wealth Bestowal.
* ModestyShorts: Her sprites depict her wearing shorts under her skirt, similar to Sharena. However, her portraits, especially the action and injured portraits, don't show them, suggesting she wears something skimpier or nothing at all.
* MoneyFetish: {{Downplayed|Trope}}--while this incarnation of Anna is interested in making money, this aspect of her character is not nearly as prevalent as it is in her ''Awakening'' and ''Fates'' incarnations. She's more focused on her job as the commander of the Order of Heroes, and only makes offhand comments about some potential moneymakers. However, when playing Paralogue chapters, her MoneyFetish attitude comes out in full force and she completely drops the air of professionalism she has in the main story chapters. Both Alfonse and Sharena have commented she is crazy when she gets like this, with Alfonse saying her laughs then are ''not'' good ones. When Anna tries to force herself not to think about making a profit during Paralogue 35, the strain becomes so great it actually causes her to catch a fever and pass out. [[ChekhovsSkill This comes to help her in Book IV Chapter 8]], [[spoiler:when Plumeria uses her powers to make the almost entirely female party attracted to Alfonse, she is capable of resisting then by focusing on her desire for money and telling Alfonse to stay away.]]
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: In Paralogue 6, Anna only participates in the bridal contest so she can sell off the prize to the highest bidder. [[spoiler:Too bad its magic only affects the person who won the contest, not simply whoever possesses the physical object.]]
* OutGambitted:
** The ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Awakening]]'' Anna gets one over on her at the end of Paralogue 8 by [[spoiler:demanding an exorbitant amount of royalties for permission to use any sexy photos she takes]].
** ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemFates Fates]]'' Anna pulls this too after ''Heroes'' Anna strikes a deal with her for sexy photos, but uses a new tome that records video instead of simply pictures. [[spoiler:Her charges for that are even more exorbitant than the previous Anna's.]]
* ThePerfectionist: Anna refuses to mass-produce merchandise unless every detail is absolutely perfect, as seen when Selkie points out that a pillow prototype based on Kaden's tail is off slightly.
* PreMortemOneLiner:
-->''"We will triumph!"'' (regular)\\
''"Onward to victory!"'' (regular)\\
''"More than you bargained for?"'' (regular)\\
''"This one's on the house!"'' (regular)\\
''"Happy New Year!"'' (''Renewed Spirit'')\\
''"To another year!"'' (''Renewed Spirit'')\\
''"Time to collect!"'' (''Renewed Spirit'')\\
''"Let's go crazy!"'' (''Renewed Spirit'')
* RunningBothSides: In the Enduring Legacy Forging Bonds event, it's revealed that she is running two rival axe-wielding organizations called '''C'''ommunity of '''H'''atchet-'''O'''perating '''P'''ersons and '''H'''atchet '''A'''spirational '''C'''ommittee of '''K'''nowledge and playing them against each other to raise axe sales.
* ShipperOnDeck: In the Bridal Bloom Paralogue, she assumes that Sharena wants to marry the Summoner.
* SirNotAppearingInThisTrailer: Despite being the first hero you meet in the game, the commander of the Order of Heroes, the series mascot and overall pretty darn important to the story, Anna did not appear in the first CG movie released with the game's announcement. Even weirder, she didn't appear in the CG movies that introduced Book II and III, even though the game had been out for over a year and a half and it was well-established that Anna was one of the main heroes. And as of the 2.5.0 update, she's the only Askran unit to be replaced on the downloading screen. It took her until 2021's "Fjorm Sings 'Flower of Ice'" to appear in a CGI animation.
* StatusBuff:
** One of her natural Skills is Spur Resistance, which boosts an ally's Resistance when they fight next to her.
** Her New Year variant has Rally Def/Res+, where she gives an ally +6 Def/Res. She also has Atk/Spd Gap, where she gives any ally with the highest sum of their Atk and Spd +5 Atk/Spd at the start of her turn.
* TerribleArtist: In desperation to make money for the Order, in "A Sketchy Summer" she forces herself to learn how to draw to create hand sketches of heroes at the beach. However, it doesn't pay off in the end.
* ThemeNaming: Her legendary axe, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nóatún_(mythology) Nóatún]], is named after the abode of the Norse god Njörðr.
* ThrowTheDogABone: Her moneymaking schemes in the seasonal paralogues are usually doomed to comical last-minute failure, but she finally succeeds at winning a valuable prize in the Winter Festival.

The messenger owl for the Order of Heroes. She brings the player their daily gifts and makes announcements about the game on her Feh Channel.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: Her gender wasn't clear within the game itself or her announcements during the game's launch, only being confirmed by Nintendo's Twitter. The Forging Bonds event "The Orb Case" marks the first time that the characters actually mention Feh's name and gender in-universe.
* BlowYouAway: She is repeatedly shown being able to send out Rexcalibur-like gusts of wind, albeit she only uses it to rip off flyers from the bulletin board.
* BreakoutCharacter: Feh's popularity ended up trumping many of the other original characters, causing her to become the mascot of the game.
* CoolCrown: When the Summoner earns an Arena Crown by promoting to the highest Arena tier, she will wear it until the Summoner demotes. The golden crown is so shiny it actually radiates light.
* CuteOwl: A cute, cuddly puffball of an owl with huge eyes.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: In the 10/3/2019 Feh Channel, she mentions she's not a fan of foie gras.
* {{Fangirl}}: Her obsession with Xander is a minor RunningGag in Feh Channel; she freaks out over his Grand Hero Battle reruns and alts, uses all of her Grails on merges for him, and even occasionally mutters his name in her sleep.
* FunWithAcronyms: '''F'''ire '''E'''mblem '''H'''eroes. What does that spell?
* GeneralFailure: She is a terrible tactician, rarely takes the weapon triangle into account when doing battle, and often gets her troops killed.
* HasAType: She has a habit of fawning over Camus-type heroes with a lot of specific attention put toward Xander.
* PromotedToPlayable: Parodied and subverted at the same time during an April Fool's 2019 video. In it, Feh was PurposelyOverpowered, and at the end of the video, it said that there are no plans to make Feh playable.
* RunningGag: The English version of the Feh Channels play up Feh's obsession with Xander, ranging from her commenting on the return of Xander's Grand Hero Battle to being overjoyed that Xander can be summoned with Heroic Grails.
* SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud: She often utters "flap flap" when flying around and "tap" when touching the screen.
* SeriesMascot: She's the symbol of the developer's Twitter account and the one used to represent them in announcements.
* ShipperOnDeck: Ships [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBindingBlade Roy and Lilina]] while explaining the Pair Up mechanic in the Apr. 4, 2019 Feh Channel.
* SignificantBirthDate: In the Feh Channel foe the first anniversary, she mentions her birthday is January 18th, the same day ''Fire Emblem Heroes'' was first announced.
* {{Sleepyhead}}: Unless she's doing a Feh Channel update or delivering daily items to the Summoner, Feh can almost always be found sleeping on her perch.
* TalkingAnimal: She's a talking owl, though she can only be heard talking during Feh Channel announcements.
* TeamPet: She's the adorable animal support to the Order of Heroes.
* ThrowTheDogABone: She got to eat her cake during the presentation of her second birthday, unlike the first one where she didn't even get a bite.
* VerbalTic: She utters her own name between sentences, particularly when she gets excited and between snores while she sleeps.
* YankTheDogsChain: During the Feh Channel presentation that celebrated her first birthday and outlined details on the game's one-year anniversary events, the Order ate all of her birthday cake before she could get any.
