* Apparently, he was the one to asked the humans to build cities over his massive body. Even when he occasionally emerges, all he does is stretch a little and take a nap on the surface, leaving his people unharmed. As it turns out though, he ''needed'' them to stay unharmed until the day he could finally be awakened fully, as many of the humans were in fact living seeds he cultivated with the intention of healing his body. He also couldn't move much even if he wanted to, as that was part of the condition of the sealing he put on his own body.
* It's then averted when he fully awakens, as he shows no obvious concern at the devastation caused to the towns once he starts moving around, and in fact the majority of the residents are ''happy'' by this since it will make it easier for them to remerge with Aldoron's body.

Whilst his main body remained seemingly silent, Aldoron can actually speak through God Seed Aldoron, the leader of the God Seeds, his servants and creations, and the most powerful of all. God Seed Aldoron is also the very brain of the Wood Dragon God Aldoron and can access all of his true self's power.

* AwakeningTheSleepingGiant: God Seed Aldoron notes that now that the White Mage has destroyed his {{Power Limiter}}s, Aldoron has fully awakened and no longer wishes to spend his days sleeping away. Now, he will unleash his power and conquer/destroy all of Guiltina for his God Seeds to inhabit, and possibly move on to the world.
* BadassArmfold: He introduces himself to Natsu with his arms crossed in this manner, and he doesn't drop it as he blows a hole in Natsu's shoulder.

* ButForMeItWasTuesday: Played with. When Natsu asks him how many humans he's killed, God Seed Aldoron admits by his own count there were about 300,000 humans living on his body for the past century who dedicated their lives to him as nutrients, but to him it would be rather pointless to keep track of every bit of "food" he ever consumed.
* CoolCrown: To emphasize his position as the leader of the God Seeds, and essentially the personification of Aldoron himself, he wears a massive crown on his head.

** God Seed Aldoron dishes a hard one to Natsu in the beginning of their fight. Whereas Natsu could actually beat down on and hurt Wolfen's copies while only worrying about his PowerCopying, Aldoron casually batters and draws Natsu's blood by doing nothing more than flaring and focusing his Magic Power onto Natsu's specific body parts without taking a step. Even when the defeat of the other Seeds successfully weakens him somewhat, he's still more than powerful enough to have the upper hand on Natsu before the latter finally activates [[SuperMode Dragon Force]], and even then he holds his own.

* LackOfEmpathy: When God Seed Aldoron is shocked that Fairy Tail managed to defeat his fellow God Seeds, Natsu asks if he's just another dragon that hates humans. Aldoron states he doesn't feel anything one way or another. He sees everyone (humans and his fellow Dragon Gods alike) as merely [[LifeDrinker "nutrients"]] for him to feed, and nothing more.

The majority of Draseal's residents are living "nutrient seeds" that he cultivated from his sealed power that masqueraded as humans for generations, their intended goal to fuse with him once he fully awakened to fully heal any remaining injuries he possessed. God Seed Aldoron goes so far to claim that Aldoron has power over life itself.

* LifeDrinker: God Seed Aldoron reveals that in addition to his human looking seeds, actual humans would live in his cities where he would absorb their energies over generations to add to his power. There's no mention if this was detrimental to the humans, or not. He also reveals this is basically his motivation with his awakening, and aims to feed on even his fellow Dragon Gods.
* MeaningfulName: God Seed Aldoron shares the name of the Wood Dragon God because, since he's Aldoron's very brain and will, he ''is'' him.

* {{Pride}}: God Seed Aldoron reveals that not only does Aldoron believe dragons are the pinnacle of nature and thus sharing the same PunyHumans mindset as most villainous dragons, he takes it a step further by viewing himself truly as a level above even other dragons as a proper god for whom even other dragons are just a source of [[LifeDrinker nourishment]] for.

* SuperToughness: God Seed Aldoron may have hit a new level of this. Natsu punches him in the back with Fire Dragon King's Demolition Fist, which can be viewed as almost a pillar of light shooting out of the town...and the most it does is make Aldoron pause for a second like he noticed a mosquito bite. The God Seed that shows up shortly afterwards "congratulates" Natsu by saying he dealt "one point of damage" to Aldoron, before adding that Aldoron's stamina is worth '''100,000,000''' points and that he ''might'' be able to defeat Aldoron if he can repeat that move another 99,999,999 times. In the end, it takes Natsu using [[SuperMode Dragon Force]] and drawing upon the power of every fire dragon's magical power he's eaten before (Igneel, Atlas Flame, and Ignia) to kill him, ''and'' that's with the caveat of attacking the much smaller but no less dangerous God Seed Aldoron who was weakened somewhat by his strength being halved from his dragon self's long sleep, the destruction of the other God Seeds and Gajeel's attack on his main dragon body.

* KeystoneArmy: [[spoiler:As it turns out, they're all this to God Seed Aldoron and by extension Aldoron himself. Should even one of them be defeated, it weakens the available magic power Aldoron has. This is mitigated, however, by the fact they will all eventually revive with time. * ResurrectiveImmortality: [[spoiler:God Seed Aldoron reveals since Aldoron has power over life, the God Seeds will revive eventually no matter how they died. [[folder:Wolfen]]
!!Wolfen
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_100yq_wolfen.jpg]]

The first line of defense among the God Seeds. He can spawn multiple copies of himself from Aldoron's body, and reads the minds of his foes to copy the form and powers of the strongest person they can think of.
----
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: His PowerCopying is incredibly dangerous, but it has several weaknesses. For one, he actually needs to see the person in his foe's memories to turn into them, and once he transforms into a person with that particular copy body he's stuck with it. Also, he copies ''all'' of the person's abilities, including ones that might be detrimental. [[spoiler:Natsu uses this against him twice, first by thinking of [[NonActionGuy Happy]] by complete accident as his "strongest person", leaving that copy helpless to actually hurt him, and then tricking another Wolfen into deliberately taking [[TheArchmage Zeref's]] form...and his [[PowerIncontinence uncontrollable curse of Ankhselam]], which responds to Wolfen's love for Aldoron to go wild. This last one in particular forces Wolfen to completely leave the battlefield]].
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: [[spoiler:Realizing how badly he screwed up fighting Natsu, Wolfen dispels all of his copies and retreats to let his fellow God Seeds destroy Fairy Tail, not wanting to risk more of them trying a similar trick against him.]]
* LeanAndMean: His default form has a noticeable thin and wiry build, and he's an antagonist out to kill anyone who might threaten Aldoron.
* PowerCopying: By virtue of his copying powers, he perfectly copies any abilities of the person he turns into. That includes the ''uncontrollable'' nature of Zeref's curse of Ankhselam.
* SelfDuplication: He can spawn multiple copies of himself to overwhelm the opposition with sheer numbers, and destroying one body doesn't affect him as he can simply take control of another grown from Aldoron.
* {{Telepathy}}: He reads minds by grabbing a person's head. Even if they destroy the limb, that initial contact is all he needs to find ''someone'' to turn into.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Metro]]
!!Metro
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_100yq_metro.jpg]]

A God Seed who commands an army of gargantuan tree creatures.
----
* AssimilationBackfire: Absorbing Juvia ''does'' give him a power boost, but when Juvia starts to literally boil due to her emotions getting the better of her, it starts to scald him from the inside. Then Gray freezes Juvia directly and moulds her ice form in order to hurt him further and pull her out of him, which sets him up for their finishing blow.
* TheAssimilator: He absorbs Juvia due to the properties of her water body and is able to make use of her [[MakingASplash spells]] while warding off Gray's attacks since [[IHaveYourWife he's reluctant to attack and hurt her too]]. However, this leads to AssimilationBackfire.
* BadassArmfold: He assumes this position while letting his constructs fight Fairy Tail.
* BloodKnight: It's heavily implied, as he expresses interest in fighting Fairy Tail, and it's noticeable he decides to confront nearly the entirety of the guild himself while Gears and Doom go after the isolated members and Aldoron faces Natsu directly.
* TheBrute: He's massively built compared to the other God Seeds, and summons forth a host of giant tree creatures to do battle with Fairy Tail. He also states that he'll destroy Fairy Tail with his brute strength rather than Wolfen's "tricks."
* ElementalRockPaperScissors: He pulls this on Juvia when she uses her Water Body to avoid his attacks, reminding her that wood absorbs water and proceeding to [[TheAssimilator absorb her directly]].
* {{Golem}}: His main shtick is [[TheMinionMaster controlling an army]] of giant wood constructs. Each one is powerful enough to tank multiple attacks from some of Fairy Tail's best, to the point he uses one to act as a shield against a combined attack from Juvia and Gray and NoSell it, and they previously had been able to tear through Wolfen's clones en masse on their own. Gajeel even notes in shock his iron can't pierce through it. It takes Lucy using her [[SuperStrength Taurus Dress]] to actually noticeably damage one, and then she needs to use Double Star Dress with Scorpio and Aquarius to take one out with one shot.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: He seals his own defeat when he absorbs Juvia, as she and Gray are able to hurt him from the inside before disorienting and weakening him enough to be hit dead on by their Unison Raid.
* IHaveYourWife: Pulls this on Gray when he absorbs Juvia, as attacking carelessly would hit her.
* KeystoneArmy: Once he's defeated, his {{Golem}}s fade away.
* OneManArmy: With his ability to summon and control an army of giant wood {{Golem}}s that individually can stand up to attacks from multiple Fairy Tail members at once, he definitely qualifies.
* PowersDoTheFighting: Noticeably only lets his constructs do the fighting against Fairy Tail while he stands back and watches, despite his general build, and he only moves once to summon a golem to shield him from attacks. Juvia openly wonders if this means he himself can't actually fight while the constructs are in play. He also settles for just using Juvia's water powers blast away at Gray when he absorbs her.

[[folder:Gears]]
!!Gears
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_100yq_gears.jpg]]

The tactician of the God Seeds who often comments on the "gears" of his enemies, with his power specifically being able to brand his foes with magic circles in the shape of gears that restrict their bodies and minds into helplessness.
----
* BadassCape: He wears a very fancy one, and he's one of the most powerful servants of the Wood Dragon God.
* GeniusBruiser: He's the tactician of the God Seeds and strong enough to fight Jellal evenly one-on-one.
* GeometricMagic: He marks his opponents with gear-shaped magic circles that restrict and manipulate their body movement and thoughts. It's not InstantRunes, as he had to fight Jellal at least for a little bit before he could make the magic take effect.
* KungFuWizard: Once his magic takes effect, he prefers just beating the life out of his foes with his bare hands.
* MasterOfIllusion: As part of the MindRape aspect of his magic, he can make himself appear as a loved one to the affected that leaves them confused and reluctant to fight back on top of their already slowed movements, as shown when he makes himself appear like Erza to Jellal's eyes.
* MindRape: Due to how his magic affects his foes' thoughts, Jellal is left unable to cast magic and his reflexes become dulled, letting him get absolutely pummeled without remorse. It's only due to an intervention on the part of Ultear's AstralProjection that he realizes what's happening and manages to turn the tables on Gears.
* OhCrap: He barely has time to freak out when Jellal manages to use his [[AstralProjection Thought Projection]] magic to create a body double to bear the gear marks in his stead before Jellal nukes him with [[DeathFromAbove Grand Chariot]].
* TheStrategist: Described as the tactician of the God Seeds.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Doom]]
!!Doom
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_100yq_doom.jpg]]

A childlike God Seed who brings death to those who defy Aldoron with deadly paralyzing spores.
----
* BewareTheSillyOnes: He noticeably looks more goofy than the other God Seeds and talks like a eager kid, but he also introduces himself as a killer. He proves it when he catches Carla's kick and covers her in fuzzy spores that will kill her with enough time.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: His name is literally "Doom", after all.
* OhCrap: Gets a progressively bigger one as the minor Fairy Tail members powered up on Wendy's Enchantment keep landing hits, but his biggest is definitely when Max brings down his finishing move [[{{BFS}} Raml Sayf]].
* PsychopathicManchild: His attitude, especially when he's losing, brings this to mind.
* TouchOfDeath: By grabbing someone, he can smother them with spores that paralyzes them and sprouts a flower with petals on their head. When all the petals fall off, that person dies. He outright says this isn't some status effect that Wendy can just use a AntiDebuff on, but rather the "fate of death."
* VillainousBreakdown: He's left in utter disbelief that a bunch of PunyHumans are actually capable of overwhelming him, and with each successive blow he gets more and more unhinged.

!!Aldoron
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aldoron.png]]

The Wood Dragon God who resides in Draseal... or more accurately, whose body is the foundation on which the city of Draseal, split into five separate towns, is built upon.
----
[[folder:Tropes A-M]]
* ArcVillain: He takes this role after Faris is captured successfully, wishing to destroy Guiltina and unleash his wrath on the rest of the world.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: As the leader of the God Seeds, God Seed Aldoron is also fittingly the strongest of them all.
* BadassArmfold: He introduces himself to Natsu with his arms crossed in this manner, and he doesn't drop it as he blows a hole in Natsu's shoulder.
* BadassCape: Wears a massive one seemingly made out of a giant leaf.
* CurbStompBattle:
** Once he fully awakens, a fleet of flying magic warships from Guiltina's Magic Council arrive and move in to intercept, having apparently been watching and waiting for the day he might finally go on a rampage. The ships proceed to blast him in the face with a barrage of Uranus cannons--which the heroes note seem to be even stronger than the [[WaveMotionGun Jupiter cannons]] they're used to--only for him to emerge [[NoSell with no injuries]] and proceed to casually destroy the entire fleet by summoning multiple giant trees that dwarf the hills and mountains around him and pierce clean through the ships.
* DeathByAThousandCuts: His Thicket of Arms spell unleashes a self-proclaimed never-ending barrage of wooden spikes that will impale his targets until they're nothing but a HumanPincushion. Noticeably, even the main dragon body can launch a similar barrage from its body down on everything around it, and can control the size of the spikes.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: He calls Igneel a fool for believing that humans were worthy of standing on the same level as and coexisting with dragons.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: The fact that Aldoron's "brain" takes an utterly inhuman wooden TinTyrant appearance compared to Mercphobia, Ignia, and Selene's flesh-and-blood human guises makes sense with the reveal of his PunyHumans and AGodAmI mindset.
* HiveQueen: As Aldoron's brain, who is the source of all the other God Seeds, God Seed Aldoron effectively serves as this. And when he dies, Aldoron himself follows suit.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: On the receiving end from Natsu at the climax of their fight, followed by taking an explosion of flame from Natsu's FinishingMove through the chest and out the back that blows him away.
* EvilAllAlong: Throughout the first half of the arc, the characters aren't entirely sure whether he's good or evil, since he allows people to live on his back, and just sleeps most of the time. When he wakes up, though, its suddenly made very clear that Aldoron's only ever cared about the people on his back in so far as he saw them as sources of sustenance, and he fully intends on either destroying, or subjugating the rest of the world. Natsu admits that he's relieved by that, as he doesn't have to deal with the issues he did with Mercuphobia.
* GentleGiant: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. Apparently, he was the one to asked the humans to build cities over his massive body. It's then averted when he fully awakens, as he shows no obvious concern at the devastation caused to the towns once he starts moving around, and in fact the majority of the residents are ''happy'' by this since it will make it easier for them to remerge with Aldoron's body.
* GiantEqualsInvincible: Aldoron is so huge that most attacks are effectively mosquito bites on him, and he treats them accordingly. It takes Brandish growing Gajeel to comparable size before someone can actually land a hit that makes him do more than pause and actually knock him around.
* GreenThumb: He can control plant life.
* JerkassGods: The people of Draseal revere him as a deity, even willing to sacrifice themselves to him. Aldoron only ever viewed them as [[LifeDrinker nourishment]] to grow stronger.
* MakeMeWannaShout: Once he fully awakens, he unleashes a massive roar that sends everyone who hears it to covering their ears.
* MookMaker: He can spawn "[[PlantMooks God Seeds]]" from his body, which are effectively humanoid tree seedlings that serve the purpose of fighting smaller human targets on his body he can't be bothered or be practical to face himself.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tropes N-Z]]
* MeaningfulName: God Seed Aldoron shares the name of the Wood Dragon God because, since he's Aldoron's very brain and will, he ''is'' him.
* MrExposition: Since he's taking his sweet time "[[CurbStompBattle fighting]]" Natsu, he decides to indulge in telling him a bit about Aldoron's history and his current motives.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: As he dies after God Seed Aldoron is destroyed and his body is wrecked from the inside out by Natsu's [[KillItWithFire Purgatory Dragon Fire]], Aldoron's giant body collapses and crumbles in on itself.
* NoSell: Once again reminding the audience that only Dragon Slayer Magic has any real hope of harming a dragon, Aldoron [[spoiler:gets shot in the face by over a dozen [[WaveMotionGun Uranus Magical Convergence Cannons]] (essentially an upgraded version of the army-destroying Jupiter cannon) and isn't even phased before destroying the entire flying fleet of ships attacking him. Chapter 58 also has Brandish explain that he's too powerful for her to use her Sizeshifter magic on.]]
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll: Once he awakens, he fights the magical military and easily decimates them in seconds and indeed his God Seeds would kill any normal human that went against him. But Fairy Tail turns out to be more formidable and intuitive then he realizes and one by one his defenses are taken out, which weakens him severely before Natsu finally gives the finishing blow.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: He resembles a {{Kaiju}} dragon made of wood, or even a massive plant in the shape of a dragon complete with a giant tree growing out of his back. And that's to say nothing of his ability to [[LifeDrinker drain the life force of anything that stays on him long enough]], nor his death scene where his body crumbles apart like he really was nothing but a giant wood construct.
* PlantMooks: The "God Seeds" are effectively this, humanoid tree creatures spawned from his body and power that he uses to fight humans and other similarly small creatures on his body. [[spoiler:They also have the ability to masquerade as humans and with enough time can collect energy to give it back to him by remerging with his body.]]
* PowerLimiter: Contrary to what the White Mage was led to believe by Selene, the five orbs within the towns on Aldoron's body don't contain his power, but rather are ''seals'' on his power he himself set up, in order to control the power he stored up in his effort to heal the injuries inflicted on him by Acnologia centuries before. Once all are shattered, he awakens in full.
* {{Pride}}: God Seed Aldoron reveals that [[spoiler:not only does Aldoron believe dragons are the pinnacle of nature and thus sharing the same PunyHumans mindset as most villainous dragons, he takes it a step further by viewing himself truly as a level above even other dragons as a proper god for whom even other dragons are just a source of [[LifeDrinker nourishment]] for.
* RentAZilla: Mercphobia states that Aldoron is the largest of the Dragon Gods. Considering Mercphobia himself was one of the largest dragons shown, Aldoron is the largest dragon ''period''. To put a size perspective on it, one of the towns that make up the city of Draseal can fit on the back of one of his ''hands'', with four more scattered on his upper body. God Seed Aldoron reveals Aldoron wasn't always this large, originally only large enough to carry a single town on his back, but as he drew in power over the centuries to heal his injuries from Acnologia he grew larger and larger into the colossus that towers over mountains by the present-day.
* StrongerWithAge: Aldoron was originally much smaller, only able to fit a single town on his backside, but 400+ years of storing power by siphoning off the inhabitants of the town allowed him to grow into a colossus that towers over mountains and could fit ''five'' towns on his upper body to siphon nutrients from.
* {{Treants}}: He resembles the dragon equivalent, being what looks like massive (even by the standards of dragons) living tree in the form of a dragon with scales like bark, and he's an ancient being who doesn't mind the fact humans have made cities on parts of his body.
* UnwittingPawn: Revealed posthumorously to be one for Selene. She honestly could have cared less if he tried to take on the world and the other Dragon Gods, only that he provide decent entertainment before either emerging victorious or getting himself killed, even if she didn't really believe the latter would happen. She doesn't hesitate to call him "weak" after the fact regardless.]]
* WorfHadTheFlu: Even discounting the fact that Aldoron's other God Seeds are tied to his power and defeating them weakened him enough for [[SuperMode Dragon Force]] Natsu to finish him off, Mercphobia reveals that Aldoron was "only" at half power even at his peak during that fight since he just woke up and didn't have time to fully bring his power to bear.
* WreathedInFlames: When he awakens in full, the wooden horns on his head ignite with flames.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: When Natsu calls him out on his LifeDrinker tendencies, Aldoron attempts to make the argument that it's no different from humans killing animals to eat. Natsu fires back that humans do that to ''survive'', not to [[spoiler:parasitically grow stronger, and they definitely have more respect for their "prey" than Aldoron does for humans.]]
* OhCrap: God Seed Aldoron has one when he realizes that Doom has fallen, and Natsu notices his magic power seems to have suddenly dropped a bit. They continue as the other Seeds fall and he weakens more, but he notes and shows he's still more than powerful enough to overwhelm Natsu on his own...and then he's taken off-guard by something (giant-sized Gajeel) attacking Aldoron's main body himself.
* PretenderDiss: When their battle hits its peak, Aldoron angrily declares Natsu is nothing but a mere human using a dragon's power, and that humans are nothing but prey to dragons and ''especially'' to gods. [[TemptingFate He ends up eating those words when Natsu gets serious and beats him in combat]].
* ScissorsCutsRock: God Seed Aldoron's "Leaf Tempest" creates a tornado of leaves that Natsu tries to burn away, only to be shocked when the leaves emerge from the inferno unharmed and pelt him. As Aldoron states, there are leaves in the world that don't burn. It's only when Natsu [[spoiler:goes [[SuperMode Dragon Force]] can he start to burn them again.]]
* TinTyrant: God Seed Aldoron visually resembles one despite being made of wood rather than metal, being a massive being with a body fashioned in the form of armor complete with SpikesOfVillainy. His face also visually resembles a knight's helmet with the visor down.
* VillainousBreakdown: He hits this during his final battle with Natsu as the latter gives him a ShutUpHannibal speech and he realizes to his horror that Natsu is managing to channel the flames of Igneel, Atlas Flame, ''and'' Ignia together in [[SuperMode Dragon Force]] with enough power to destroy him.
* WorthyOpponent: Zig-Zagged when he brings Natsu to him. He acknowledges that Natsu has proven himself a threat with the clever way he managed to deal with Wolfen, which is the very reason he's taking the fight to him personally, but Aldoron also expresses no worry of himself losing the fight and punctuates this statement with his first attack drawing Natsu's blood while not moving from the spot. It's his refusal to take Natsu sufficiently seriously in time that gets him killed once his God Seeds die to weaken his power and Natsu unleashes his [[SuperMode Dragon Force]].
