* AdaptationalJerkass: Book Paul never has to intimidate the entirety of the Fremen leadership into following him and letting Stilgar live. In the book he makes the same argument that killing their best leaders is stupid, and just points out that Fremen culture has already had to change when they accepted him and his mother, and this is one more change, and that as Duke of Arrakis, he'll need local sietch rulers to rule for him. Meanwhile the book Fremen are all pretty keen to follow Paul after he starts his wildly successful campaign against the Harkonnen and trains them with Bene Gesserit fighting techniques.
