She's emotionally unstable, she's rude to the others, and in chapter 4 Monobear even makes Yukiko wear red-and-white-and-black, the colors of a traditional Dangan Ronpa mastermind, complete with a friggin' ''Monobear eyepatch'' just to complete the "duality" look...nice try, because as Naoto found out the hard way when pushing for a vote, Yukiko is actually ''not'' the Mastermind.]]

Takara is a somewhat lazy person who would prefer to only do things he absolutely needs to. He's a bit abrasive and full of himself to people he doesn't know or trust, and doesn't work well in groups. However, when someone manages to get past that, they find that Takara is a very good person to work with, though he is still prone to being lazy.

Yukari's younger brother constantly upstages her in everything ''except engineering'', which is why she has dedicated her life to engineering and mechanics. [[spoiler:She murders Etsuko in chapter 7, but since Hiroshi received more votes than her and Hiroshi was pinned as the "culprit" of King's murder, Yukari may still be granted "immunity".]]

A highly driven young woman. In her first two years of high school alone, she penned numerous exposes for both local and national newspapers, breaking news on various scandals. Though very intelligent and curious, she's also stubborn and arrogant, believing that she's always right.

Yukiko's manga career started after winning a contest in a popular magazine. Her family then reluctantly agreed to allow her to write manga, provided that she used an alias. Antisocial and stone-faced, Yukiko comes off much harsher than she actually is. [[spoiler:Following Jun's blinding/punishment, Yukiko has cut out one of her own eyes. She later murders Kazuya Hirayama and is correctly pinned as the culprit during the seventh trial.]]

Mostly doing {{Role playing Game}}s and Visual Novels, Jun excels in storytelling more than technical gameplay, though he does create games for all genres. Despite being gifted with words, he often comes across as shy and not very talkative. [[spoiler:After the second trial ends with a mistrial over a mistaken suicide, Monobear declares he'll act out the motive and randomly cripple one of the students for life. Jun's the one chosen, and has his eyes gouged out.]]

He's working towards inventing a vaccine for people too poor to afford vitamin supplements (and has already brought the Kagami name to fame for the next best thing, inventing a vaccine for people who can't absorb vitamins normally), and to invent a chemical compound that in general will make living on Earth a lot easier. [[spoiler:Attempted to prevent Yamato's suicide attempt. When that failed, tried to frame Takeo, but confessed during the trial and successfully convinced the others of his innocence.]]
