* CryCute: Bursts into tears of gratitude after Doras helped him heal his shoulder and therefore his entire baseball career.

* NotSoStoic: Shiro seems to be based on the cool-and-cold rival archetype as opposition to the protagonist's HotBlooded (which Kuro is), and most of the time he really lives up to the image. But then he can still cry and enrage as any other characters.

* LightIsNotGood: Their color is white, but they were condescending towards Doras, especially Shiroemon. Of course, they grew out of this quite quickly.

* TrueCompanion: It’s late and subtle, but still visible.

* AllForNothing: He used a new pitch recklessly at Drump’s suggestion in a desperate attempt to defeat Doras and ended up almost losing his entire career because of the strain that injured his shoulder, but Doras found a way to counter it anyway.

* CryCute: Bursts into tears of gratitude after Doras helped him heal his shoulder and therefore his entire baseball career.

* HonorBeforeReason: He will hand off using his signature pitch if Kuroemon wants him to preserve it for their match, at the cost of losing against Flyers. And then he realizes someone imposted Kuro.
* ItsAllAboutMe: In his first few appearances, he saw his teammates as nothing but steppingstones to victory and was a Jerkass towards them in the name of "strictness". He grew out of this after being called out.

* ThePerfectionist: He hates failures and only strives for the perfect victory without regard to his teammates. While still having some shades of this, he significantly mellows out.

* MoralityPet: Doesn’t look like it, but he’s this to Shiro as the latter snaps out of his Jerkass way after he realizes he has hurt Hirai in process.
* OnlyFriend: To Shiro in Whiters at first, since other members feared Shiro and disliked his selfishness and insufferable attitude.

* GrewASpine: At first, he’s absolutely terrified of and pushed around by Shiroemon. After he TookALevelInBadass, while still respectable of Shiro, he isn’t above delivering him some snarks.

Added DiffLines:

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Delivered this to Shiro after having enough of the latter’s shit once he saw Hirai being injured by trying to catch up with Shiro’s whims.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Doesn’t give up his stoic, contemptuous, proud attitude and the habit of calling Kuro a "dumb robot" after his CharacterDevelopment. Still a nice, honorable guy from the bottom of his heart.

The catcher of Whiters, a player with good physique, making him one of the team's best batter. He is really close to Shiroemon and intimately calls him "Shiro-kun" while other teammates mostly use "Shiro-san", indicating the inseparable closeness between them.

* PointlessBandAid: Has a band-aid on his nose all the time, but seems to be only for aesthetic purposes.

* UndyingLoyalty: To Shiro. When other members criticize Shiro, he’s the only one that stands by his side, and never tells Shiro about how he’s injured by catching his new pitches which he hasn’t got used to yet as he doesn’t want to slow Shiro down.

* NerdGlasses: Wears round glasses.
* TookALevelInBadass: He used to be a bad player and got scolded severely by Shiro in some of the first chapters, but thanks to the hard training he made a great progress. So great that he is chosen to represent Japan in the WABC.

* SituationalHandSwitch: When his left shoulder got injured (Shiro is left-handed), he tried to use his right hand instead. It didn’t work, or rather, it didn’t have the chance to work, as Shiro was healed some moments later.

The main rival team of Edogawa Doras, Arakawa Whiter mostly consists of elite athletes and is rather popular, one of the reasons because there’s Shiroemon.
Despite having no sub-team or coach, they always win on every tournament they take part in. They get even more solid after battling Edogawa Doras on the 43rd Big Dome Cup.
----
* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: As their name indicates, their color is white.
* EyesAlwaysShut: 3 of the team members.
* TheRival: Towards Edogawa Doras. The strain relationship gradually becomes FriendlyRival later on after each's leader seeing the other as WorthyOpponent.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: They looked down and ridiculed Doras in the first few chapters, not knowing Doras will be their greatest opponent later on.

The team's captain and only pitcher, he also takes the role of shadow coach. He used to be Kuroemon's schoolmate but after a heated argument, they broke up. By now, he and Kuro are each other's greatest rival.

His jacket number is 1.

In Shin Dorabase, he, just like Kuroemon, has become professional players and is one of the Chiba Marines's top players.
----
* TheAce: The top-tier pitcher with the unbeatable, signature White Ball and its variations (until Kuro steps in), and the literal ace for the national team, he can only be rivaled by other top-tier players.
* CharacterDevelopment: Shifts from being a selfish Jerkass "villain" to sympathetic rival. Especially after Kuro, who he often looked down at and considers a "dumb robot", manages to hit his White Ball, he develops respect for him and even acknowledges him as a WorthyOpponent.
* Determinator: His loves and dedication to baseball was even moreso than Kuroemon, which led to their friends-turn-rivals relationship.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Doesn’t give up his stoic, contemptuous, proud attitude and the habit of calling Kuro a "dumb robot" after his CharacterDevelopment. Still a nice guy from the bottom of his heart.
* HeroicRROD:
* HiddenDepths: Besides baseball, he’s also good at golf and fishing.
* NotSoStoic: Shiro seems to be based on the cool-and-cold rival archetype as opposition to the protagonist's HotBlooded (which Kuro is), and he really lives up to the image.
* TokenNonHuman: Opposite to Doras, he is the only cat robot in the team.
* SignatureMove: The White Ball and its variations. His newest technique is called World Ball.

* TheBigGuy
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Similar to Shiro, Hirai was not much of a nice guy at first glance.

The team's second baseman. He was not much a good baseball player and is still not when facing strong opponents, but if he gets fired up he could play as well as Shiroemon.
