* TranquilFury: [[spoiler:When Tess goes to try comfort her the day after after Ellie's elimination, Gabby ends up quietly telling her to shove it, getting into an argument over why eliminating Ellie was a bad idea and why she's angry about it. Given this Is Gabby we're talking about, it goes to show not only how badly Ellie's elimination affected her, but how well and truly pissed off she is at the rest of the Cyan Team for it.]]

* BerserkButton: Do not mistreat nature or animals in any way, shape, or form. Nick nearly dies because of it.

* OutOfFocus: In ''All-Stars'', she hasn't been given as much to do [[spoiler:throughout the first seven episodes]] compared to others.

* BetterServedCold: Since ''All-Stars'' started, Tom has made it no secret that he despises Ellie and wishes to get her eliminated, but Cyan Team's constant victories means that he was stuck with her for most of the first third of the season. [[spoiler:He eventually ends up getting revenge on Ellie when, in Cyan Team's second elimination ceremony, Tess votes with him and Aiden to get Ellie eliminated, with Tom even shouting "in your face Ellie!" with satisfaction when he realizes this.]]

* ButForMeItWasTuesday: When talking about how he decided to not help his son overcome his fear of sand, Alec talks about like he's discussing the weather.

* {{Hypocrite}}: As Ellie pointed out, [[spoiler:he reacts harshly to having been betrayed by Fiore when he himself betrayed his allies (Ellie and Grett) to stay in the competition. Furthermore, he leaves being angry when he's the one who told Jake to leave with his dignity intact after the latter's been mad about his elimination.]]

** He also genuinely comes to like Conner and even offers him helpful advice in regards to his "friendship" with Riya saying it isn't healthy for him to continue trying to persue her. [[spoiler: Even when Alec decided to vote of Conner from the show, he felt bad about doing so saying it wasn't anything personal.]]

* EvilBrit: She's cruel, manipulative, and talks in a British accent, though she's not as bad as Fiore.

* FatBitch: She's an overweight, manipulative schemer. The "Fat" part gets lampshaded in episodes [[spoiler:2 and 6]]. She lost a lot of weight sometime after the remake of season one, though.

* FormerlyFat: While she's overweight in the beta and its remake, by ''All-Stars'', she has lost quite a bit of weight. She seems to be lampshading it when she tells Alec she's "worked on herself, both inside and out".

* LackOfEmpathy: She has zero issue with manipulating others, [[spoiler:frames Drew to prevent herself from getting eliminated]], and implies she sabotaged other contestants in a beauty competition. Additionally, when Fiore seemingly gets voted off for being weak, Grett cruelly tells her that she voted her over Miriam because Miriam at least knows how to read. She also shows no empathy for Gabby when she reveals she was hurt due to [[spoiler:her teammates nearly voting her off]]. This gets subverted in ''All Stars'' where she becomes a little kinder and more vulnerable, and in "Slip & Sly" she even admits to Riya that back in Season 1 she played up her attitude in order to protect herself.
* ManipulativeBitch: One of her specialties is manipulating people.

* OfficialCouple: With Yul post-TimeSkip, much to the shock of everyone.

* AdaptationalJerkass: He is far more snobbish in this version than in the original where his {{Jerkass}} moments came out more of [[InnocentlyInsensitive ignorance]] than malice. He even [[spoiler:backstabs his own alliance twice by voting out Will and voting for Lill. His unpleasantness is part of the reason why he is the third boot according to Alec]].

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: While Aiden's speech during [[the Yellow-Cyan Team dual elimination ceremony]] didn't help matters, Tom's attempt to play off [[spoiler: Ellie's elimination]] as simple strategy leads to [[spoiler:Gabby effectively using the same reasoning to vote alongside the Villain Alliance in order to get Tess voted out]], something that Tom is far too late to catch on to.

* BetterTheDevilYouKnow: When the Cyan Team goes to their first elimination ceremony in ''All-Stars'' [[spoiler:Ellie reveals to Tom how Lake was trying to convince them to eliminate him instead of Aiden, while also painting her as the mastermind of the all girls alliance. Tom ends up voting to eliminate Lake instead of Ellie, but not because he fell for Ellie's bluffs. He knew Ellie only wanted to save him to help her own game and keep the team strong, but Lake was outright gunning for him]].

* OutOfFocus: In ''All-Stars'' [[spoiler:so far through the first 5 episodes she hasn't been given as much to do compared to others.]]

* OddCouple: Aside from both being one of the antagonists of their respective casts (and both [[spoiler:being eliminated first out of them]]), Grett and Yul have nothing in common and neither seems like the type to genuinely love someone. In spite of that, they became a couple in a TimeSkip before ''All-Stars''.

* LackOfEmpathy: She has zero issue with manipulating others, [[spoiler:frames Drew to prevent herself from getting eliminated]], and implies she sabotaged other contestants in a beauty competition. Additionally, when Fiore seemingly gets voted off for being weak, Grett cruelly tells her that she voted her over Miriam because Miriam at least knows how to read. She also shows no empathy for Gabby when she reveals she was hurt due to [[spoiler:her teammates nearly voting her off]].

* MomentKiller: Type IV. In the opening, she intentionally interrupts a kiss between Gabby and Eli because she doesn't want them to be a couple. In the original version of the first season, she does the same but with Tom and Jake instead.

* PragmaticVillainy: In the second episode of ''All-Stars'', Alec seems concerned for Connor and offers to talk to him when he realizes he's having relationship issues with Riya. He also later tries to give him advice regarding his relationship with her. However, he eventually suggests he originally only came to him because he wanted an alliance rather than [[PetTheDog kindness]]. Granted, he did genuinely grow fond of him.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Gabby is a weirdo with a history of violence, but even without that in mind, she can be quite brutal when she wants to be, like when she threatens Tom after he pulls down a log during the first challenge or when she [[spoiler:betrays Grett and gets her voted out after she grows sick of her attitude. In ''All-Stars'', she considers becoming a villainess]].

* {{Revenge}}: While often friendly, she can be vindictive as she views [[spoiler:eliminating Ashley as revenge because she, as part of the Purple Team, voted her off in the first episode alongside Will, Lill and Nick. In Episode 6, she [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal gets even with Grett for using and mistreating her via thwarting her plan to win immunity]]. She even works with Miriam and Dan to vote her off. In ''All-Stars'', she seems to become vengeful towards her teammates for voting her girlfriend Ellie off]].

* BaitAndSwitch: The first episode would make you think that she might be the main villain of the series, or at least close to it. However, the end of the episode shows true BigBad turns out to be Fiore.

* OlderHeroVersusYoungerVillain: [[spoiler:Following Ellie's elimination in the remake's finale, Miriam, a seventy-two year old woman, is up against Fiore, a six year old girl, for the million-dollar prize money, with Fiore being the villain of the season. Miriam manages to defeat Fiore and win the million dollars]].

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Gabby is a weirdo with a history of violence, but even without that in mind, she can be quite brutal when she wants to be, like when she threatens Tom after he pulls down a log during the first challenge or when she [[spoiler:betrays Grett and gets her voted out after she grows sick of her attitude. In ''All-Stars'', she even becomes a villainess]].

* AffablyEvil: Downplayed in the sense that he does not go out of his way to befriend people but he has a chill demeanour and Alec *the person* can be friendly. He does grow friendships with Fiore, Ellie and Grett in Season 1 (even if in the case of Ellie and Fiore they do not last the entire season) and Connor in All Stars. It is telling [[spoiler:that Alec feels more remorseful about voting out Connor than Riya is]].

* AntiVillain: Alec does some pretty questionable things in order to get the million dollars, but he's doing it in the name of saving his failing marriage. Which makes it rather tragic when [[spoiler:his marriage ends up falling apart anyway near the end of the season, and he ends up being booted off at the hands of Fiore, his closest ally at that moment]].

** He makes an alliance with several disliked contestants, all of which (including him) are notorious for causing conflict[[note]][[ManipulativeBitch Grett]], [[{{Jerkass}} Yul]], [[UngratefulBastard Riya]], [[EnfantTerrible Fiore]], and [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Ellie]][[/note]]. Not only does this give him a safety net if he were up for elimination (which is partly because several of its members are on the same team as him), he convinces them to have the other contestants fight one another so they can stay under the radar.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: Gabby is a weirdo with a history of violence, but even without that in mind, she can be quite brutal when she wants to be, like when she threatens Tom after he pulls down a log during the first challenge or when she [[spoiler:betrays Grett and gets her voted out after she grows sick of her attitude]].

* InformedFlaw: The first few episodes of ''All-Stars'', in particular the premiere, make a couple mentions of Miriam's health not being as good as it was back in Season 1, with even Jake expressing concern about her choosing to compete again. In theory, this could be a source of drama by having Miriam's health impact her gameplay, if not [[NonGameplayElimination cause her elimination altogether]]. In practice, Miriam hardly seems to have any health issues, either in gameplay or in general, and [[spoiler: she's eliminated by getting voted out instead of suffering a medical evacuation]].

* EverybodyHasStandards: In Episode 1 of All Stars, Even she thinks Ellie went too far about what she said behind everyone's back.

* OddFriendship: Out of all the contestants in Season 1, Ashley's most surprising friendship is with Lill, the middle aged scout leader, whom she forms an alliance with.

A mad woman with schizophrenia or a totally normal girl? No one knows. All we know is that she has a soft spot for natural products and for [[Characters/DisventureCampEllie a certain girl]]...

* EvenEvilHasStandards: AntiVillain he may be, Alec is absolutely disgusted by Yul's emotional abuse of Grett, and takes some schadenfreude in indirectly punishing him for it in Episode 9.
