* AmbiguouslyEvil: The ''VII'' cast save for Sephiroth and the Turks don't remember who he is, but they have a bad feeling about him due to his resemblance to Sephiroth and latent memories of ''Advent Children'', so they don't trust him. On his end, Kadaj claims that his only interest is killing Sephiroth to prove himself to "Mother", and as far as he's concerned Cloud is his brother and they should be allies against Sephiroth. Beyond that, Kadaj is still an unpleasant person and generally shady, but he has yet to act in a way that could be perceived as directly antagonistic to the heroes.

* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Has a unique overhead called "Dreams and Honor" which increases in value as Angeal uses his skills or Breaks an enemy with his LD buff active, up to a cap of 200% of his Max HP, although the overhead value is reduced whenever Angeal takes HP Damage. This value, in turn, is treated as bonus damage for the entire party, increasing a team's damage potential. With Angeal's Burst Effect the normal cap for this value is increased to the hard cap of 999,999, increasing damage potential even greater!

Recruited in Act 4, Chapter 8, Part 1 of the main story. When he arrives in the world, he is shocked to find Sephiroth in a villainous role, and initially thinks he fell victim to the same cellular degradation as Genesis. When Cloud and Sephiroth himself convince him otherwise, though, Angeal becomes dedicated to fighting alongside his protege Zack and the new bearer of the Buster Sword, Cloud.

Angeal is a physical attacker who specializes in follow-up attacks and launches, enabling his party to do as much damage as possible.
