When the Bad Kids arrive to spend the Moonar Yulenear in Fallinel in Junior Year, Telemaine immediately begins to call Riz "Rizbert" before leaning over him in a mocking way and saying "not your house little guy". Even Fabian acknowledges that his grandfather is being very weirdly aggressive to Riz.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Weird and condescending he may be, Telemaine is the most reasonable of the Fallinel leaders and offers the Bad Kids respite in Kei Lumennura and protection against the Court of Stars when they break [[spoiler:Adaine and Aelwyn out of their clutches]].

* YouSayTomato: Telemaine's most notable trait is his inability to recognize, much less pronounce, perfectly common words. His pronunciation of Gorgug's name changes every time he says it and he struggles with universal words like school and teenager. * StealthExpert: Kalina used to work as a spy for the Fallinel secret service, occasionally as a partner with Riz's father whenever the Solasian and Fallinel governments were required to cooperate. She was known for her talents in becoming invisible, breaking past abjurations and wards and being near impossible to scry upon. [[spoiler:Being an incorporeal magic plague, most barriers, physical or otherwise, would do jack against her. All she would need to do is infect the right person and then simply wait for the host to unwittingly carry her into the desired location]].

Riz later calls Baron a "weird little skeleton boy." Both Brennan and Murph use he/his, they/them, and it/its pronouns interchangeably regarding Baron.
* BerserkButton: Saying hurtful things about them or their relationship with Riz. Three strikes means bringing the offender to see their "stark father."

* GirlfriendInCanada: At the start of Sophomore Year Riz makes an off-the-cuff lie about having a romantic pen pal in the Baronies, which nobody buys. It comes back two episodes later in a much more nightmarish way when Baron comes to life in Riz's office and abducts him.

* LaughablyEvil: Baron is a truly terrifying character and their introduction is regarded by the players as one of the scariest parts of the campaign. However, their accent and pronunciation of certain words (re: their attempt at Fathethriel's name) provides some legitimate laughs.
* LineOfSightName: When Riz first makes up his partner he specifically looks at a map of Spyre while doing so, hence the [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment redundant]] [[ADogNamedDog "Baron" from the Baronies]].
* MirrorMonster: Baron first appears to Riz from within a mirror in his private investigator's office, and is set free when Riz shoots the glass. They appear again to Riz much later in the Nightmare King's forest in a grove composed of huge mirror shards where Baron continues to torment Riz.
* MurderousMannequin: Is described as a bone-white goblin mannequin in a fancy Lord Fauntleroy outfit, and while primarily a psychological threat they almost snap Riz's neck when they pull him through the mirror and knock him out.
* NoMouth: Essentially has no mouth, as it is just a carved line on his creepy doll face which doesn't move when Baron speaks.
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: Brennan plays Baron with an accent that is difficult to pin down, made only harder to identify by their strange pronunciation of some words. Their floating accent only adds the unbalancing, creepy vibe their entire character gives off.
