** Lord Raptor: In 1889, "The Country of the Comers-Back" (aka "Le Pays De Revenants") was an essay depicting zombies published in Harper's Magazine. The character was originally conceived as a dead WWI-era soldier, which made for plot oddities when his story was revised to make him a punk rocker and thus had him start his human career a few decades too early.

* RockMeAsmodeus: It is unknown exactly what was backing his little cult but now he has backing from Ozam and Le Malta, demons from the world of Makai. Still plays the guitar, too.

* RockMeAsmodeus: It is unknown exactly what Judging from his backstory alone, Raptor was a one man cult leader who used the curses and spells from the Chapter of Tolgaido, an ancient Hebrew book detailing the customs of Makai, to gain his backing with mind control and hypnotizing his little cult but followers to his whim. After his grand finale to gain ultimate power, he now he has receives backing from Ozam Ozom and Le Malta, demons from one of the world three empires of Makai. Still There is much TruthInTelevsion in this interpretation of metal and rock music; back around the 1970's and 1980's, metal garnered a great deal of opposition by Christian morality groups for breaking from the norm and going into detail about darker subjects, including the negativity of life and satanism, which they came to claim that such bands were cultists who used music to spread their word. One famous urban rumor in that playing metal and rock records backwards reveals subliminal messages to worship the devil even plays into Raptor's backstory as well. Either way, Lord Raptor's got the guitar, too.last laugh in this regard, and still shreds a mean guitar into the distance.

* AntiVillain Protagonist (Type I): He's the main character of the series according to Capcom, but shows the traits of both anti-heroes and anti-villains. A villainous example would be his ending in the first two games.
** DecoyProtagonist: That said, he has very little character development, doesn't really get to do anything that substantial in the grand scheme of things, and largely serves as an anchor for the real main character of the series - Morrigan. If the drama tracks are to be considered canon, his status as this has been cemented.

** He also has a harem of mummy girls who help him as well in one of his Super Combos.

* GodEmperor: All Pharaohs were, though Anakaris is a little more literal than most.

* AntiVillain (Type I)[=/=]NobleDemon: More so in the home ports of the third game. See IntriguedByHumanity below.

* BalefulPolymorph: His Royal Judgement and Pharaoh's Curse Super Combos temporarily transforms the opponent into a small, defenseless form. What exactly they are turned into depends on who the opponent is.

* BalefulPolymorph: His Royal Judgement and Pharaoh's Curse Super Combos temporarily transforms the opponent into a small, defenseless form. What exactly they are turned into depends on who the opponent is. Due to Marvel vs. Capcom 2's large roster, all members of the cast are instead turned into the same generic troll creature upon being hit.

* SitchSexuality: Lilith's body is not permanently set as a female, and can possibly switch between both.

* SitchSexuality: Lilith's body is not permanently set as a female, and can possibly switch between both. Her appearance is primarily just because of her being Morrigan's clone.

* DarkMessiah: Among the residents of Makai, a popular belief is that it is the body of God. So, think back about what Jedah plans to do to it again? A plan that basically involves creating a giant Antichrist.

* DarkMessiah: Among the residents of Makai, a popular belief is that it is the body of God. So, think back about what Jedah plans to do to it again? A plan that basically involves creating a giant Antichrist. Many characters in Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite outright call him this trope.

* VocalEvolution: Compare Jedah's voice in Vampire Savior to his voice in VideoGame/ProjectXZone; it almost sounds like they have different voice actors. Basically, he went from Dio to Devil Jin.

Added DiffLines:

* GutturalGrowler: Compare his original nonsensical English voice done by Yuuji Ueda in the older games, to his current voice still done by Ueda in both VideoGame/NamcoXCapcom and VideoGame/ProjectXZone. He speaks more coherent Japanese and growls a lot more akin to some of Ueda's other roles.

* KissOfDeath: In her non-canon ending to Vampire, she sucks out Pyron's soul (leaving a withered husk) with a kiss. It's implied that this is one of the many ways Morrigan is able to claim a human's soul.

** The UDON comic (which is unclear whether it's canon) claims that Morrigan's body is a host of sorts for the souls of the many humans she has sex with (her reasoning is that she's giving them pleasure and a reprieve from the hardships of the world; the souls aren't destroyed, Immortality but live on within Morrigan in eternal bliss, taking the form of the bats she wears as clothing and her wings).

** The UDON comic (which is unclear whether it's canon) generally considered non-canon) claims that Morrigan's body is a host of sorts for the souls of the many humans she has sex with (her reasoning is that she's giving them pleasure and a reprieve from the hardships of the world; the souls aren't destroyed, Immortality but live on within Morrigan in eternal bliss, taking the form of the bats she wears as clothing and her wings).wings).
*** According to her game ending, she absorbs souls via kissing rather than having sex. One of her win quotes in VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcomInfinite confirms that she does enslave people, though.
