* LawfulEvil: Again, he wants to turn Makai in a better place by consuming all the souls of its inhabitants.

He fights with the other Darkstalkers in order to gain power and return to his original time and save his people, and later he transports all of them to another dimension to protect them from the upcoming wars. Can be considered LawfulNeutral/KnightTemplar as he slaughtered the invaders after they were defeated.

Thousands of years later, Pyron's visit awakens Anakaris from his long slumber, and using time-travel he goes back to his time, one year after his death, to resurrect himself and beat back the invaders. He succeeds and conquers them.

* AnimalMotifs: Snakes--as seen in his ''Cobra Blow'' attack, where his face and arms morph into a serpentine shape.

* PowerLevels: The characters of the series are gauged by their strength: Class D is your run-of-the-mill human. C are the average demons, which make up the backbone of Makai. B are the more powerful demons with sufficient training. A are the exceptionally strong demons, most of them filling the ranks of the Eight Noble Families of Makai. If you're strong enough to make it to Class S, congrats! You're a PhysicalGod. Most of the cast are As and Bs, with a few exceptions (The Three High Nobles of Makai and Morrigan are all Class S; Belial, one of the big three, was a ''Class S+ '').

** Morrigan: Morrigan's date of birth (1678) coincides with the first appearance of a succubus in Scotland.

* TalkingToHimself: Kan Tokumaru also voices Bishamon, Anakaris, and Victor.

That same year, a newspaper printed the testimony of a man who said he watched as a man was killed by aborigines, which he said looked like a black man, but covered all over with gray hair. SoYeah.

* [=~Hey, It's That Voice!~=]: You might currently recognize the aforementioned Erin Fitzgerald as [[{{Bleach}} Mila-Rose and Mizuho Asano]], but her true claim to fame (and perhaps her most notable roles) were that of Nazz and May Kanker from ''EdEddNEddy''. [[SoYeah Yup]].
