* FantasticRacism: Seems to have shades of this on ghosts as shown in "Flirting with Disaster", especially Danny Phantom. He open fires at Danny Phantom and [[CassandraTruth doesn't believe him when he warns the Grays about Technus]].

* ParentalObliviousness: Was kept him in the dark about his daughter's new ghost-hunting lifestyle. At least until ''Reign Storm'' when Danny pulls off a DramaticUnmask and reveals Valerie's identity to Damon. After which, he tries to forbid his daughter from hunting ghosts by locking her gear away for her safety and grows annoyed whenever she uses them.

* StrugglingSingleFather: Damon's wife (Valerie's mother) is never seen or mentioned.

* RightForTheWrongReasons: In "D-Stabilized", she scoffs at the idea of the Fentons being "the most powerful ghost hunters in Amity Park" because if they were as competent as they make themselves out to be, then they'd be able to figure out that a ghost was actually ''living under their own roof''. [[{{Touche}} Danny bluntly concedes that she got him there.]]

* TheDogBitesBack: In "Reign Storm", when she sees Dash (the same Dash who, along with the rest of the in-crowd, shunned and humiliated Valerie, even [[LackOfEmpathy laughing at her family's financial situation]]) bullying Danny, Valerie gets to give Dash a taste of humiliation by dumping her lunch all over the JerkJock.

* HatesMySecretIdentity: While he hero-worships Danny ''Phantom'', he thinks Danny ''Fenton'' is a loser and bullies him. However, in "Reality Trip" and "A Glitch In Time" he acts nice to Danny Fenton after learning his secret identity.

* JerkJock: He's Casper High's star quarterback and the school's biggest bully. There's somewhat of a twist on this trope in that despite acting up to the JerkJock stereotype, he is also strangely prescient as to the future of most fictional Jerk Jocks, as he casually makes references to high school being the peak of his life and having to face a future of pumping gas.

** In "One of a Kind", Danny asks Dash to open his gym locker for him because he's "too weak" to do it (knowing that Skulker has set a trap for him inside his locker), and Dash agrees. Granted, he also calls Danny a loser before helping him.

* UnmanlySecret: In "Attack of the Killer Garage Sale", it's revealed that he has a massive collection of pastel-colored teddy bears in his closet. Danny uses this to his advantage at the end of the episode by making said collection spill out of Dash's locker. In "Girls Night Out", it's also revealed he secretly listens to boy band songs.

* KickTheDog: Paulina's sadistic, heartless side is revealed in "Shades of Gray" when she shunned [[FallenPrincess Valerie]] from the in-crowd, [[LackOfEmpathy showing no remorse nor concern for Valerie's situation at all]].

* DimensionalCutter: He creates portals by slashing them open in the air with his greatly extended claws.

* JerkassToOne: He'll bully just about anyone below a certain popularity level, but Danny seems to be his favorite target. While Sam and Tucker do get some flack from him, it's usually collateral damage from him picking on Danny. Even when Sam gets the school cafeteria to adopt a new vegetarian menu he hates, it's Danny he takes his anger out on, not Sam, the one who's actually to blame for the change. One episode even opens with Danny commenting that Dash's default response to a bad grade is to target him.

* UglyGuyHotWife: With Jack.

** In "Maternal Instinct", he responds to his wife Maddie lamenting how much she misses the time she spent with their son when Danny was younger by addressing that all children have to grow up sometime, then goes back to [[{{Manchild}} playing with toys of himself and a ghost]].

* ObliviousToHatred: Throughout the original series, Jack always saw Vlad as his best friend and practically idolized the guy, unaware of the sheer hatred Vlad felt towards him for causing the accident that hospitalized him and gave him his powers, as well as for marrying Maddie, the woman Vlad wanted for himself. However, once Jack finally learns the truth about Vlad he finally hates him in return.

* TheAce: Maddie is shown to be a very skilled ghost hunter, she even manages to fight off a whole pack of ghost animals, single handily while protecting Danny. In "Public Enemies", Danny even acknowledges her as a ''legitimate'' threat towards ghost compared to the bumbling Jack.

* BerserkButton: Before, she instantly flipped when Danny said Vlad didn't care for her. Following the realization he was right, she gained a new button, being taken advantage of.

* FallenPrincess: Her family was originally very well off.

* BerserkButton: Being called shallow as revealed in "Parental Bonding".

* PinkMeansFeminine: She has a feminine personality, and her signature outfit is comprised of a pink shirt and hair clip. She also wears pink dresses at her birthday party in "Memory Blank" and for the beauty pageant in "Beauty Marked".

* WastedBeauty: She's considered the most beautiful girl at Casper High, and she's a SpoiledBrat who is as shallow as a puddle and looks down on anyone who's not popular.

* TheAce: Maddie is shown to be a very skilled ghost hunter, she even manages to fight off a whole pack of ghost animals, single handily while protecting Danny. In " Public Enemies", Danny even acknowledges her as very legitimate threat towards ghost.

* AwfulWeddedLife: In the AlternateTimeline where Jack is the one to become [[HalfHumanHybrid Plasmius]], Maddie marries [[AbhorrentAdmirer Vlad]], despite never loving him, and he acts very controlling.

* PinkIsFeminine: She has a feminine personality, and she's always wearing a pink shirt and a pink hair clip. In "Memory Blank", she also wears a pink dress at her birthday party.

* HeroicRROD: Since Dani's an imperfect clone, her ghost half is unstable, so she can't overuse her power or they'll eventually dissolve her into ectoplasm. The problem gets fixed in her second appearance.

* TurnTheOtherCheek: She had very easily forgiven Valerie for lying to her, using her as bait to capture Danny and handing her over to Vlad. Justified as Dani likely believed she had no right to judge Valerie's actions since she, too, temporarily served Vlad herself, as noted above.
* {{Tykebomb}}: Was created to trick Danny into befriending her so Vlad can use his DNA to create the perfect clone.

* WellDoneDaughterGirl: Dani only sought out to make her "father" Vlad happy, but after seeing he never saw her as anything more than a pawn, she sided with Danny. By her second appearance, she's renounced the idea of him being her father.

* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Danny warns Danielle that Vlad would subject her to this once he gets the "perfect son" he always wanted. She initially didn't believe him, but quickly learns that Danny was telling the truth. Needless to say, Dani [[BerserkButton did NOT take this revelation well]], but still disillusioned her enough to [[HeelFaceTurn turn against Vlad and side with Danny]].

** In "One of a Kind", Danny asks Dash to open his gym locker for him because he’s “too weak” to do it (knowing that Skulker has set a trap for him inside his locker), and Dash opens it for him. Granted, he also calls Danny a loser before helping him.
** He does have a soft side for music, this is seen in "Doctor's Disorders" where he's watching a music video when he expresses his love for the music of a singer who is clearly based on Bette Milder.
** Not to mention, shielding Danny, Sam, and Tucker, after his identity was revealed to the world.

* LoveTriangle: For the first part of the series was in one with Danny and Sam.

** She apparently remained friends with Valerie after the latter was kicked out of the clique.

* YourTomcatIsPregnant: It turns out that "Sampson" is actually "Delilah". Apparently, nobody in the zoo ever considered checking closer for... less obvious signs.

* ItsAllAboutMe: Is implied to have this belief, as Sam occasionally (and rightfully) calls her "shallow".
* KickTheDog: Paulina shows her more sadistic, heartless side in "Shades of Gray" when she shunned Valerie from the in-crowd, and [[LackOfEmpathy showed no remorse nor concern for Valerie's situation at all]].

* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Throughout the series, he has been nothing but a narcissistic SadistTeacher who constantly displays a CondescendingCompassion tone of voice. The only times when he “cares” about his students is when he can benefit the current situation at hand. In addition, whenever he has been “fair” to his students, it usually involves either him playing favorites with the popular students or if he can solely benefit from the situation. And while he ''has'' been a DirtyCoward before, he's demonstrated a willingness to jump in and protect his students if need be, if only to realize he is way out of depth.

* SmugSnake: He is this on several occasions.
